Video Games I Enjoy Playing / Have Enjoyed Playing, in no particular order:
This post ended up being a lot longer than I thought it was going to be initially. Games towards the top are in more recent memory while most games descending towards the bottom I haven't played in a bit, but with many exceptions that I don't care to point out.
People keep asking me what games I like, so I decided to make a relatively cohesive list of everything I have played at one point and also developed positive memories with it, be they from gameplay or the people I got to talk to while playing.
I have highlighted games that I would consider my "Favorites" in orange, because orange is one of my favorite colors. Anything colored in orange I have *really* fond memories of, as opposed to the ones that I have positive associations with but may have some issues with the game in some way, whether it's not having played it very much at all, or not finding it as fun as those in orange, or some other reason.

So in case graduations happen again soon, I looked up PLs on the niji sub which has gone basically rogue and is actively discussing PL. I followed RZ's PL, which I was like. Holy hell, 1 million subs. All the comments joking about RZ being his side hustle or a side quest and RZ was a big animation storytime youtube joke make sense now. Brooooo what are you doing in niji.
EA's PL was surprising. I didn't follow her previously, but I was more active in the vocaloid fandom and the vocaloid song English fan dub circles when I was younger. I watched some of EA/Shannon's videos and in hee comments are other singers I know and follow like JubyPhonic and rachie! From like 5 years ago! Crazy. I want to try to rewatch some old YouTube utaite chorus collab projects and see if I spot Shannon. It's so weird to think they I may have seen her years ago become she became a vtuber/ EA and didn't even realize.
For FO, I actually know and still follow his personal danmei reviewing twitter which he has since privated and his still public old vtuber PL. my friend who is more into danmei and manhua that me actually recommended his older twt and youtube channel to me. Then like 2 months later he privated his stuff and left and then FO debuted lol. My friend who knew him longer immediately recognized his voice in his debuted stream lol.
Edit 2/13 - that public explanation steam on EP's yt....oof. wtf. That only made things worse guys. These are the worst lawyers with the worst advice I swear wtf is even going on anymore....??
I think im following PG's past life acc on twitter and I don't even know why. I'm not subscribed to her old YouTube account where she did utaite type music. I'm just baffled. I just say that her old twitter is locked but I'm somehow following her and I can't even remember why. Lol.
Anyways saw some funny posts on a certain fruit farm website about SB falling his death a second time to get out of this situation. And I'm just like. A second time???
Turns out he is/was a legendary tf2 player Pyro main. It sounds like he had a video game addiction or something that was really ruining his life and/or he got burnout playing tf2. So he decided to fake his death so he could return to school or something. Like. OK, congrats on the therapy and college completion or whatever, but like you couldn't just have a normal hiatus post????? he like vaguely mentioned in his final stream that he had a terminal illness and then just stopped streaming for 5 years, so everyone thought he died. Like, on one hand, I and many other commentators seem to think it's a bit funny and totally ridiculous. I guess that only learning that this is a hoax years after and also not being tf2 fans/his fans helps make this like a weird prank to outsiders. On the other hand, faking a terminal illness and your death is really stupid and insensitive to people who actually have those issues. Plus to his old fans who knew him for many years who respected and trusted him, that's gotta hurt bad. Like. Bro what. SB unprivated his old YouTube videos though, I'm curious to see the highlight reel of supposedly the world's best tf2 player, even tho as a person who doesn't play fps or moba or tf2, I don't really understand how much skill it takes to do his playstyle, so I might not appreciate it as much as it is.
Anyways kusosanji has shit pr and lawyer team, but their talent scouts/audition people knew how to pick them very well. Like one of the top apex players and tf2 players, multiple musicians and comedians, etc. All these extremely talented peoples' past present and future careers being totally ruined by a company that doesn't care about them and their wellbeing at all. Even if they tried to leave via terminations (shout out to SY liking a company critical comment and then outting "returning soon" message on her pl youtube) and return to their past life, people have lost trust in them due to kusosanji (or due to already existing past life drama like above with SB). If they tried to make a new indie vtuber account they would be starting from 0 and even then if people match up their voices or life story details from some off hand comment during a zatsu, it'll be over for them again, back to 0 and having to reincarnate. Just a waste of potential, it's sad for all livers involved. Incredibly cowardly to have the public facing employees who have the mpst to lose take the worst of the harassment while the neglectful and abusive managers and rich ceo and investors can stay safe and anonymous and in a totally different country. I hope no poor indie vtuber decides to audition for any new en waves, which I doubt they'll even do anymore going forward. Being forced into a black company sounds awful. Comments online theorize that at this point, the investors and so management are seeing this workplace culture clash and deciding to deliberately sabotage the remaining EN branch so they have an excuse to merge it to the main branch and gradually dissolve/graduate/fire everyone like for the OG EN (india) KR and ID.
Edit edit: yeah.....even if the whole rrat / great unifying rat king theory from 4chan is true, that still really only means that like 5 people of a clique are bullies, plus mayyybeee AA?? But like really, other than those 6 people, like there's still the 25 other people (who as far as we know) are not bullies or even involved in this, that really were just trying to grow their career and make friends in a new place. They couldn't have known about the massive apocashitstorm pr disaster that was coming up. I feel so bad for the new kids Krisis and TTT too...like.. holy crap they JUST got there....
*insert meme that Vivi is the unluckiest new member*
Just because the management is bad and maybe 6 people are guilty of bullying, all 25 other innocent incredibly talented people are being dragged into this. It's just awful.... :(
I want so support them, they're unlucky innocent bystanders in this I think, but not as they are right now. Still not exactly normal vtuber etiquette, but this whole situation is totally abnormal, but I'll just find their pl youtube or twitch accounts and follow them there, patiently awaiting if/when they return to those accounts. People on reddit are all saying like "I hope my oshi graduates/gets fired" and that might literally be a better ending for them right now. So weird.....
Edit edit edit: oof yeah. Again, as an outsider to SB's pl and the tf2 moba fps genre community, plus 7 years have passed, I have some forgiveness towards him for the fake death thing that i can understand his older OG fans may not have. Still, it sounds like he talked about his past in a zatsu. He legit had a video game addiction and ended up homeless and jobless. I can understand toa degree why he had to make his hiatus/break from tf2 and video games in general so final so that he would not be tempted to play it again. Still, just an extreme decision to fake an illness and death instead of just admitting you want to go to college and not be living in japanese net cafes and the streets.

The Way Back Home
Logan Howlett x plus size reader
After months of being apart from each other, he’s finally back in your arms
Warnings: smuuuuuuuut, protected sex, slight housewife kink, possessive Logan
WC: 1.4k
Minors DNI
Tumblr media
Logan was coming home today. After months of being away, dealing with rogue mutants, he was finally making his way back to his secluded cabin in the Canadian wilderness. He called you this morning, letting you know that he would be there by sundown and to say you were excited was a complete understatement.
You were practically vibrating as you danced around the two room home, cleaning up the various messes you had left, constantly looking over your shoulder at the heavy door, waiting for your mountain of a man to walk through. You missed him so much, missed the way he kissed your head every time you got close enough for him to snatch up, missed how close he held you during the night, hell, you even missed the way he would grumble incoherently when he was annoyed.
You needed to feel his touch again, to hear his voice untainted by the static of the shitty phone lines. As the sun began its descent towards the horizon, you quickly threw some frozen chicken wings in the oven, not bothering to actually turn it on since it would just burn in his rush to get you into bed, and skipped to the small bedroom at the back.
The silvery blue silk clung perfectly to your generous curves in a way that you knew would drive Logan wild. Your hair was done to perfection, light makeup only enhancing your features plus a little highlighter on the fat of your breast exposed by the skimpy lingerie. Turning away from the mirror, you picked up the last piece of your outfit from the side table.
The old metal clinked together as you lovingly pulled it over your head and let the cold material sit on your exposed collarbones. Just as you double checked your appearance in the full length mirror opposite your bed, the tell-tale rumble of your partner’s truck emerged from the quiet woods. Your heart pounded in your ears as it got closer, heat pooling at the apex of your thick thighs.
You scrambled from the room as the engine finally cut out. With each heavy footstep, your breathing became more laboured, your eyes darkened with lust.
“Sweetheart?” A moan shamefully slipped from your lips at the meer sound of his voice, the deep timbre shaking you to your core. The front door swung open and revealed the almost feral man. His brown eyes were almost black as they fell upon you, his barrel chest heaving beneath the already unbuttoned flannel, his dark jeans strained to contain his heavy erection.
“Welcome home.” You cooed and reached out for the larger man. Logan immediately dropped his duffle bag and took you into his arms for the first time in forever. He tasted like cigars and dark chocolate as his lips finally met yours. Never one for patience, his large hands fell to your ass, giving a firm squeeze as he pulled you closer to him.
His hips pushed into your soft stomach, trying to relieve the borderline painful ache of his cock. Your nails dug into his back, your mind going fuzzy with desire. Just as your vision began to swim with lack of air, Logan’s lips moved to your jaw, nipping the delicate skin as he worked his way down to your throat. “Missed ya.” He growled. “Missed ya cunt.”
Your breath hitched when his fingers curled into your cheeks, kneading the soft flesh. “I missed you too.” You shuddered, tilting your head back so more of your neck was exposed to his onslaught. Logan purred in appreciation, his sharp canines scraping against your pulse point. You gasped when he bit down, a wave of pleasured pain shooting directly to your pussy.
Logan’s nostrils flared with the smell of your arousal, the beast inside him screaming to be let out, to finally ravage you properly after being denied your perfect body for so long. The cold chain around your neck was a shock to the mutant. He pulled away, prompting a whine to slip from your parted lips, and looked down at you.
“Are those my dog tags?” You smiled shyly but the way your eyes sparkled was truly devious. “Why don’t you tell me Captain?” “Say goodbye to your pussy sweetheart cause she’s not going to make it out of this.”
——————
The couch creaked dangerously underneath you, shaking violently with each upward thrust. Your hips rolled against Logan every time his thighs slapped your ass. He had stopped speaking an hour ago, only feral growls rumbled through his hairy chest as you bounced on his fat cock.
Clothes and used condoms were thrown about the room, the small coffee table he had built for you lay in pieces from where he had pushed you onto it and taken you from behind. Your body was littered with bites and bruises, the scratches from your nails on his back and chest already healed.
One hand was planted firmly on your wide hip, his fingers digging painfully into you, certainly leaving dark bruises, while the other was wrapped around his dog tags, keeping your face lowered. Your thighs trembled with the effort of riding him, but the way he looked up at you, his handsome face covered in a deep blush, his brown eyes shimmering with so much love it made you ache, but you kept going.
“L-Logan.” You moaned, slowing down to a lazy grind, your throbbing clit rubbing deliciously against the thick patch of hair at the base of his dick. With a sharp tug to the chain, your lips smashed together, his tongue diving into your mouth. Your shaking hands pulled at his dark hair.
Arching your back, you pressed your soft body tightly against him, your hips unconsciously circling on top of him. He nipped at your bottom lip and you couldn’t help but smile as he moaned into your mouth. You could feel his abs tense below you, his end drawing closer.
Logan released his dog tags in favour of gripping your plump waist, guiding your movements. The metal tags bounced against your heavy chest, swinging in front of his face. “Fuck, you look owned like this.” The knot in your stomach tightened and your hips stuttered. The mutant’s lips turned up in a stupidly handsome smirk. “You like that don’t you? You like me telling you how you’re mine, wearing my dog tags, waiting for me like a good little housewife.”
“I need- mhmf- need a ring to be a housewife.” You sassed, punctuating your statement by lifting almost entirely off his cock and then slamming back down. You whined, feeling him twitch violently inside you, the head of his cock rubbing against your g-spot. Sweat dripped down your brow as your hands moved to his pecs, getting more leverage to rock down onto him.
The knot in your stomach wound tighter and tighter as you watched your lover struggle to keep his control, not wanting to cum before you. “Ring or no, yer mine.” He growled, thumb fitting against your clit and flicking it harshly. He bucked up into you, thrusting furiously into the sensitive ball of nerves deep inside you. “My girl.” The couch wobbled dangerously on its legs. “My wife.” White spots dotted your vision. “My pussy.” Your jaw dropped open in a silent scream. “Mine.”
You exploded at the same time, collapsing onto your lover as the pleasure washed over you. Logan howled as he came inside the condom, hands keeping you pinned to him, your orgasms tapering off. The cabin was silent for a few moments before, Crash! The old sofa gave way, sending you both tumbling to the floor.
Logan tucked you into his chest and rolled, taking the brunt of the fall, while somehow, still remaining inside you. He groaned as his back met the hardwood floor, his head bouncing painfully off the ground. “Logan! Are you ok!” You fussed, cupping his jaw to search for any injuries.
The older man chuckled and pushed your hands away in favour of sitting up against the ruined furniture. “I’m fine honey. Takes a lot more than some shit couch to hurt me.” You sent him a playful glare. “Yeah but you’re becoming an old man, James.” Logan, too used to your teasing, simply rolled his eyes.
“But you love this old man so that’s on you.” “Yeah I do.” You breathed, placing a quick peck to his lips. “You hungry? I’ve got chicken wings and beer.” “You know just the way to my heart woman.” He set you back on your feet with a sharp slap to your ass. You giggled and sent him a wink, wobbling over to the kitchenette, dog tags still swinging around your neck, missing Logan’s loving gaze.
If only you knew about the ring he had bought on his way home back to you.
“Oh by the way.” You called out over your shoulder, “You owe me a new couch.”

To dress like a rogue...
As suggested by @themanwhosurvived, I have slapped together a fic that explains how Hanin ended up in THIS UNFORTUNATE OUTFIT.
Featuring: Hanin Lavellan, Varlen Lavellan & The Dawn Squad. Approx 2000 words, most under the cut. <3
“What did you say?”
“I said you are irresponsible, Varlen. You cannot afford to be. Not anymore.”
“I’m how I’ve always been! Why are you so obsessed with getting on my case about it now? You never did bef—”
“—This isn’t life with the clan. We lost that already.”
Not for the first time, Hanin wondered if he was being too harsh on the boy. Varlen visibly paled at his words, flinching as though Hanin had reached out and cuffed him. In truth, sometimes it was a struggle to resist the temptation, and Hanin did take a menacing step forward, his patience worn thinner than parchment in the face of his clanmate’s stubbornness.
“Why do you have to keep bringing them up?” Varlen asked softly. He wouldn’t meet Hanin’s gaze, and almost seemed to shrink in the larger elf’s shadow. A measure of Hanin’s irritation wavered, and he let it leave him, drawing in a deep, slow breath to replace the void that remained. Calm down. Don’t lose your temper. Not here. Not now.
“Because we cannot afford to forget, lethallin.” It was a simple enough explanation. Pertinent. The truth without embellishment. “Varlen, you show no desire to better yourself. Your failure in the past does not justify your failure now. It is not an excuse I can accept, because using it means you will never grow.”
“Fine,” Varlen snapped. Now that Hanin’s anger had tempered, Varlen rose to his full height and glared right at him, his expression almost a challenge. “You want me to train? Run around on the field and get all sweaty and disgusting with those other brats in your squad? Fine.” He paused, and something suddenly sparked behind his pale blue eyes. Something that immediately set Hanin on edge.
“… What?” Hanin demanded, folding his arms and inspecting Varlen sceptically. “You’re up to something. I know that look. Out with it. I don’t have time for games.”
A faint smirk curled up the corners of Varlen’s lips, almost catlike in his self-satisfaction. “Well… you want me to train like a soldier, right?”
“I assumed that was clear by now.”
Varlen rolled his eyes, but pressed on, that fiery satisfaction barely even wavering before Hanin’s dry response. “Then let’s make a bet, sir. If I can get through a full day’s training with your squad, you have to have a taste of how I operate.”
Hanin arched a brow at that, amused and wary all at once. “Very well. Here are my terms…” Varlen seemed surprised that Hanin had any to offer, but Hanin was no spring halla. Varlen may play the fool, but he was cunning. If there was a loophole to be found, the younger elf would somersault right through it. He raised a fist, then extended one finger. “You must complete each part of the training, and do so with maximum effort. I expect you to at least be able to keep up with Darren.” Hanin paused, eyes narrowing as Varlen let out an amused snort, then he raised another finger. “You are not to complain. Whatever task I set, you will follow as though I am your superior officer. Training is not a suggestion, it is an order.”
“Sheesh, okay. I’ll do it all, and I’ll do it properly. That’s all you had to say.” Varlen regarded Hanin for a moment, then arched a brow. “So… do we have a deal?”
Hanin still wasn’t entirely sure of what he was getting into. He was about to agree when he realised something important. “What if you do not complete training to these standards?”
Clearly, Varlen had been hoping Hanin would neglect that detail. He huffed, but extended his hand all the same. “Then I’ll show up for a full week. No complaining. You have my word.”
Hanin regarded that offered hand for a moment… then reached out and clasped it. “Very well. It is done.”
“Come on out, Captain…”
“Yeah, sir! Don’t keep us all waiting!”
“Don’t be shy, now…”
Varlen grinned as the Dawn Squad crowded outside the door to Hanin’s quarters. The warrior’s room opened directly onto the lower courtyard, and although the hour was ungodly, Varlen felt no trace of fatigue. After all, he had won the bet. Not before almost ending up in tears while sparring with that Cyrus bastard – he was still nursing some nasty bruises and welts from that – but that hardly seemed to matter now. Glancing about, taking in the expectant faces of Hanin’s beloved squad, Varlen decided that this was going to be so very worth it.
“I did my dues as a soldier,” Varlen announced dramatically, striding forward to stand before the door. He gave a sweeping bow, ignoring Ralon’s remark of yeah, for a whole hour, and reached out, grasping the doorknob with one gloved hand. “Now, please, allow me to present to you your beloved Captain of the Dawn Squad, dipping his toes into the affairs of rogues…”
The Dawn Squad cheered and whooped, and Varlen took that as his cue. Grinning wide, he turned the knob and threw the door open, revealing what was inside.
There, in the doorway, stood Hanin. His arms were folded stiffly across his chest, the look on his face a disconcerting mixture of furious and self-conscious. Nose wrinkled, he shot a glare at Varlen. “This is ridiculous,” Hanin snapped quickly, “I have never seen you wear this.”
“Sure. Not yet.” Varlen laughed, then winked, eying the outfit. “I’ve been saving that one for a, uh… special occasion.”
“Andraste’s flaming ass,” Lyrene breathed. She only ever seemed to evoke Andraste for crude epithets. The woman’s lips quivered for a moment, staring at Hanin, but then she broke out into a fit of laughter, doubling forward, clutching her stomach. “S-Sir! You… You look… so… so…!”
“Reckon I’ve eaten cakes with more layers, sir,” Ralon said with a bright grin as the others all began to join Lyrene in gasping hysterics. “N-Not that you don’t look good enough to eat, that is!”
“Inappropriate,” Hanin grumbled darkly, arms still stubbornly crossed. Varlen tutted, tapping at Hanin’s crossed arms.
“Now now, that’s not fair. You’re ruining the armour. Gotta show it off. Own it.”
“… Armour?” there was genuine outrage in Hanin’s response and Varlen laughed, but skipped away a few steps for good measure. Just in case. “This has to be the furthest thing from armour,” Hanin continued stiffly. “And if any of you ever consider wearing something like this into a fight I will— uh!”
Mid-rant, Cyrus rolled his eyes and hurled a waterskin right at Hanin’s face. Hanin reached out on reflex, snatching the object out of the air, but as soon as he did, he realised his mistake. Now, the plunging V of his shirt had been revealed, its apex ending where the belt began, revealing the entire mid-section of Hanin’s torso. It was a rather nice view, of course, and Cyrus whistled appreciatively, his venture successful, as the rest of the squad gawped, then snorted, then melted back into peals of delighted laughter.
“Y-You off t-to entertain the troops? B-Boost morale?” Lyrene was beside herself – a lost cause – practically boneless and leaning against Ralon for support. The Antivan was also shaking with laughter, although far more appreciative of the view, drinking it in like a rare vintage. Varlen couldn’t blame him; it was akin to seeing a golden halla. A once in a lifetime opportunity. Darren, on the other hand, had gone beet-red, mouth open, his hands half-covering his face as though he had just walked in on a lady changing.
“That’s not armour!” he whined, mortified. “That’s… that’s barely even a shirt!”
“Your vitals are exposed,” Connors added from the back of the group. She was the only one who had not cracked before the pressure. It was difficult for Varlen not to take that as a personal failure. Her brown eyes flicked up and down Hanin’s chest, and she added, “Highlighted, actually. With that cut.”
“Yes. I am aware of that, Connors.” Grunting, Hanin tossed the waterskin back to Cyrus, who caught it one-handed, his ice-blue eyes bright with amusement. “A cheap trick, Cyrus. If only you would think that fast in combat.”
Cyrus ignored the sleight, instead raising his brows at Hanin. “Sure. But I’ve got to say, I kinda like that look on you, Hanin. You should wear it to training. Might keep us motivated.”
“Please don’t!” Darren squeaked hurriedly, and Ralon laughed at that, reaching out to snag him in a headlock, ruffling his hair to the shrill music of the blond’s indignation.
Varlen had been enjoying himself so much he almost hadn’t noticed a familiar dark sensation, like the prickling of heat against the skin. Slowly, Varlen let his gaze drift across, and found Hanin glaring daggers at him from just outside the doorway. “Remind me again,” the warrior said through clenched teeth, “how this has anything to do with your skills as a rogue.”
“I-I’m sure it’s perfectly legitimate,” Lyrene gasped, tears gathering at the corner of her eyes, her face flushed from laughing so hard. “H-Haven’t you noticed? All the s-scouts are wearing—” she choked off for a second, but soldiered diligently on — “t-that.”
It was a good attempt, but Varlen plastered his best smirk on his face and sauntered over, plucking at some of the flimsy strapping that seemed to be barely containing Hanin’s biceps. “You soldiers… you’re all hit this, crush that, charge them. Brute force. Some situations require… a little more flexibility.” Varlen grinned as the Dawn Squad succumbed to another round of barely contained snorting. “Well, we rogues aren’t so great in tests of strength, so we try to get creative. Draw attention away. Distract the enemy. Sometimes, we do it with fancy tricks—”
“— like setting yourself on fire,” Darren chimed in, and Varlen nodded, winking at the kid.
“Exactly. But other times, you want something a little more subtle.”
Cyrus cocked a brow. “That outfit is about as subtle as a brick to the face, Snow-boy.” Hanin grunted in agreement, and Varlen just let out an exasperated sigh, flapping his hand dismissively towards Cyrus.
“Alas, I do not expect you to understand. This sort of thing demands a certain poise. Elegance. Soldiers stomp and roll around in the dirt too much to ever achieve it.” Varlen’s melodramatic lamentations gave way to another cat-like smile. “But at least you can enjoy the view for a day. Go on. See how well it works first hand. Think of it as a learning experience.”
Hanin rolled his eyes skyward, incensed. “I am not wearing this all day, Varlen.” Varlen made a noise of indignation, but Hanin cut him off before he could argue. “Our deal was that I would experience what it was like to be a rogue. This does not meet that criteria.”
“Yes it does!”
“I have never seen any rogue dressed like this.” Hanin made a pointed gesture to the massive open section of the shirt, then also indicated the pants, which were so tight they were really more like a second skin. Probably because they were Varlen’s size, not Hanin’s. “So unless you ca—”
He cut off, eyes widening at something behind Varlen and the squad. Confused, they all turned, following the line of Hanin’s horrified gaze, and immediately spotted what had arrested the warrior mid-sentence.
Varric was standing atop the battlement, one leg up on a raised outcropping of stone, his hair loose and billowing gently in the morning breeze. The rising sun flooded him with golden light. It reflected magnificently off Bianca, who rested atop his knee, as the dwarf surveyed the landscape of Skyhold like a ruler admiring his kingdom.
However, that very same light also reflected magnificently off his dark, thick chest hair.
Chest hair that was exposed by the violently plunging V of his shirt.
Speechless, delighted, Varlen whirled back around, quite possibly the smuggest expression in the world plastered across his face.
Hanin said nothing. He just pushed past Varlen, snatched a sack of gear the squad had brought from the ground nearby, and stalked off towards the training fields.
I’ll take that as a win, Varlen thought smugly as the squad hurried to catch up, still chuckling and whistling. He folded his arms, a smile on his lips as Hanin vanished around one of the buildings. Well, Hanin… good luck!

GST Collection Target Resets at 10,000Cr By Govt.
Tumblr media
Highlights: Highlights: -The Government on Friday has increased the GST collection targets for the month of January and February by Rs.1.15 lakh crore, from the earlier Rs.1.1 lakh crore. -No change for the March target, standing at Rs.1.25 lakh crore. -The Government targets to collect Rs.10,000 crore, more than what was targeted earlier. -GST Authorities will look into fraudulent Input Tax Credit (ITC) claims as found in data analytics review. -SMSs and emails will be sent to such fraudulent or excess ITC defaulters, non-filters and those who provide mismatched information in their return or over- invoice or who have been identified through data analytic for tax evasion by duping the system rogue modus operandi. -Taxpayers who have taken ITC wrongfully can voluntarily repay the amount equal to inadmissible credit before the verification process begins and needs to bear disciplinary action. -Identified targeted taxpayers and fraudulent refund seekers, and over-invoice users will have to go electronic communications, followed by visits from GST field formation that would be required to report on a daily basis.  -GST Department will aggressively use the data analytics features of the GSTN system.  -The department is looking to increase its collection efforts in the next 2-3 months via advanced tracking measures to keep an eye on GST evaders. Just a few weeks ahead of the Budget 2020, the Finance Ministry has come out with the latest update on GST collection. The Government on Friday has increased the GST collection targets for the month of January and February by Rs.1.15 lakh crore, from the earlier Rs.1.1 lakh crore. According to sources in the Finance Ministry, the collection aim for the next two months(January and February) is Rs.1.15 lakh crore and for the last month of the financial year (March) is Rs.1.25 lakh crore, with no change for the March target. Well, which simply means the Government targets to collect Rs.10,000 crore, more than what was targeted earlier. The decision to revise the target was taken at a high-level meeting convened by the Department of Revenue, under the Finance Ministry, specific focus on fraudulent Input Tax Credit (ITC) claims as found in data analytics review of all the refund under inverted duty structure, etc. Yes, the GST authorities will look into the mismatched supply and purchase invoices, failure of filing returns, and over-invoicing,among other things. Moreover, the concerned authorities would also look at fake or excess refunds availed beyond the permissible limits, plugging tax leakages, fake or huge ITC claims, and data analytics of mismatch in return forms such as GSTR-1, GSTR-2A, and GSTR-3B respectively.    Disciplinary Actions Against Frauds and Defaulters: The government sources said that SMSs and emails will be sent to such fraudulent or excess ITC defaulters, non-filters and those who provide mismatched information in their return or over- invoice or who have been identified through data analytic for tax evasion by duping the system rogue modus operandi. Also, taxpayers who have taken ITC wrongfully can voluntarily repay the amount equal to inadmissible credit before the verification process begins and needs to bear punitive action.    Moreover, such identified targeted taxpayers and fraudulent refund seekers, and over-invoice users will have to go electronic communications, followed by visits from GST field formation. The aim is to make them obey the law and pay due taxes in a timely manner. However, the field formations would be required to report on a daily basis.     Action Plan: In addition to this, the GST Department has been given instructions to aggressively use the data analytics features of the GSTN system. The department is looking to increase its collection efforts in the next 2-3 months with the help of advanced tracking measures to keep an eye on GST evaders. Also, the apex body will strategize an action plan and make the field functions more efficient to achieve collection targets without any overreach.   What’s Good: However, on the Fiscal Deficit front, the same has already exceeded budget estimation of over Rs.7 lakh crore, giving a big relief to the Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman. But due to lower than expected revenue from tax as well as from disinvestment, the deficit is expected to widen further by at least 20 basis points for the existing fiscal year to 3.5% of the GDP. https://blog.quikkloan.com/gst-collection-target-resets-10000cr-by-govt/ Read the full article

The Fast and the Furious
Yesterday I caught the latest film in the worldwide hit Fast & Furious franchise, The Fate of the Furious. To get a little a little bit it in the right mindset for it, I went and watched the original 2001 film, The Fast and the Furious (trailer) a couple days prior. I own all of the films, but the second installment which I detest, and as luck would have it all but the last couple were still in my backlog. I may as well cover them all(minus 2Fast) for the blog, and I think I will try and knock out a couple of the earlier movies right away before revisiting the later films down the line. Additionally, since I always kind of embraced these films in a lighthearted ridiculous kind of way, I will be a little looser with my entries for these films and will run down my highlights from each film in a bulleted list kind of way. -Quick plot synopsis for those unfamiliar with the first film: The late Paul Walker portrays undercover cop Brian Connor. There is a street car gang stealing hot ticket Apex DVD players from trucks, so Connor goes undercover and joins Dominic Torreto’s (Vin Diesel) gang that also consists of his sister Mia (Jordana Brewster), his tough-as-nails girlfriend Letty (Michelle Rodriguez) computer hacker whiz Jesse (Chad Lindberg) and lifetime meathead bro Vince (Matt Shulze).
-I vividly recall my sister treating me to this film at the theater for a graduation present since it hit theaters a Friday or two after I graduated way back in 2001! Initial memories of the film were that it seemed like the coolest thing ever with all the crazy special engine closeup/NOS turbo special effects and all the bedazzling of the street cars with neon and underglow. -I also specifically remember thinking coming out of this thinking that Vin Diesel was the coolest dude ever with him having the silent, deadly charisma and perfect chilling delivery of classic lines such as “It doesn’t matter if you win by an inch or a mile, winnings’s winning!” and the quintessential “quarter mile at a time” speech of the film which transpired in my favorite scene in the picture. Those thoughts quickly changed when Diesel skipped out on the sequel in favor of duds like The Pacifier. I also recall Paul Walker’s BS wavy hair and as the ultimate cornball with his epic so-bad-its-good delivery of classic lines such as “I need two cans of NOS…tonight!” He gets much better in later films thankfully. This is also the only film series I can tolerate Michelle Rodriguez in since she goes on to play the same badass stereotype in all the other films she is in and is insufferable as a result. This was the first time I was exposed to her here however and she is the perfect complement to Vin Diesel’s character.
-Johnny Tran (Rick Yune) is the stereotypical Asian gangster for the film. He has history with the Toretto gang and it all comes to a head in the film’s last act after some deadly fallout after a race that transpires at the Race Wars event. He is actually a pretty compelling villain and one of my favorite antagonists from the series. Speaking of races, if you have not seen the earlier Fast films, than I have to be the one to break it to you that the earlier films primarily revolved around the underground street race scene and it was not until Fast Five when the films fully evolved into “best drivers in the world pulling off insanely unbelievable heists.” -The truck heists were only a small backdrop to the street racing in the film, but the final truck heist scene features a lot of great stunt work and practical effects. Watching the extra feature interviews it was cool to see that a lot of the street racing and truck scenes were primarily shot with practical effects and very little CG work. Obviously that would flip with the latter films in the series.
-I got a good feeling the younger crowds are going to scoff at the soundtrack for this film, but for me this film hit during my coming of age years and thus a lot of it resonates with me still today. Reliving it does have a really good blend of (then) modern rap, hip/hop and metal. Fans of Ja Rule, Saliva and Limp Bizkit will not be disappointed! The SWAT montage scene being accompanied by Dope’s “Debonaire” is another favorite scene in the film of mine, which has a great culmination of Tran’s father giving the ever-dreaded “disappointed parent hand-slap of doom!” -I forgot to mention I am reliving these films with a special commentary track. Giant Bomb is my favorite videogame website and they occasionally do movie commentaries. Longtime readers here may recall that is how I re-watched Rocky IV. Experiencing this film again with the Giant Bomb crew was an ideal experience for me, since they re-watched all seven films over the past few months leading up to F8. Host Alex Navarro is the well-versed lore-master of the Fast franchise and provides plenty of wisdom for casual Fast fan Vinny Carravella Fast-newbie Dan Ryckert. Dan bombards Alex with too many questions, but Alex wisely knows what to clue him into as the movie progresses. Also experiencing Dan state why he avoided the movies all these years only to make a complete 180 and end up loving this film about an hour in was very entertaining to listen in on. As always the GB guys are a riot and have plenty of wise cracks along the way that made rewatching this a lot of fun. If you want to give their commentary a listen then head here to download the track. -The BluRay is jacked with a ton of extras. Most of them are carried over from the DVD release but there are a couple new HD extras too. Dom’s Charger is a quick four minute look at Dom’s ride and how they found that model for the film. Quarter Mile at a Time is a 10 minute-eye opener on the origins of drag/street racing and how it lead to NASCAR/F1 and modern street racing. That is all for new extras. There is a little over an hour worth of assorted extra features carried over. Of them I would suggest checking out the deleted scenes, as there are a few good ones that director Rob Cohen justified why they did not make the final cut. Making of Fast and Furious is a thorough breakdown of the cars, races and cast for the film and provides a lot of detail on what I referenced earlier on how the stunts were done. Make sure to check out the six minute short film, Turbo Charged Prelude which has no dialogue and is essentially Connor going rogue from the cops and travelling across the country to Miami to setup for the sequel, 2Fast, 2Furious. Finally, Rob Cohen is on hand for a solo director’s commentary, but as I previously mentioned I opted for the Giant Bomb commentary instead.
-I highly recommend watching the original film whether you have seen it or not. It was awesome experiencing it again and seeing how far the series has evolved over the past 16(!) years. Even if you prefer sticking with the newer films, if you are one to pay attention to all the nitty gritty details you will likely pick up on a few references and characters that stay dormant until the later movies that will give you a new look into their origins with the franchise. Oh yeah, I almost forgot, check out this incredible guide from The Ringer that ranks the Fast films along with several supplemental rankings of vital elements of the films such as “Best rapper cameos” and “Best Dom one-liners.” Very thorough, but is well worth your time to take in. Now if you pardon me, I am going to go off to a corner in my room and jam out to Saliva and Limp Bizkit. DualShockers’ Favorite Games of 2019 — Lou’s Top 10
December 25, 2019 10:00 AM EST
Whether it was putting too much time into Slay the Spire or getting scared out of my mind in RE2, here are my top 10 games of 2019.
As 2019 comes to a close, DualShockers and our staff are reflecting on this year’s batch of games and what were their personal highlights within the last year. Unlike the official Game of the Year 2019 awards for DualShockers, there are little-to-no-rules on our individual Top 10 posts. For instance, any game — not just 2019 releases — can be considered.
Seemingly, 2019 is a year of gaming backlog regret — with less disposable time this year (thanks wedding planning), I tended to invest myself in games that just wouldn’t stick, or would disappoint massively only after getting hours into it. When things boiled down to Game of the Year 2019, I realized that I hadn’t touched most of the titles that were grabbing the gold… and so my backlog grows.
What specifically? Well, my Nintendo Switch has been building dust through the year as I side-stepped major RPGs like Fire Emblem: Three Houses and Astral Chain. Games I tended to be more skeptical about — Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice, Gears 5, and Devil May Cry 5 — slipped through my grasp, only to be followed by deservedly rave reviews. And I’m hoping to get Death Stranding for Christmas, so I can finally see what all the fuss was about.
With that said, 2019 was a surprisingly strong year for gaming as we lead to the swan songs of this generation. With most of the biggest names in games colliding in 2020, we are set for possibly the best year in gaming…ever. The possibilities are strong for the next generation of consoles, and boy is it great to be a gamer.
Now enough with the rant, here are my Top Ten Games of 2019:
10. Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night
Truth be told, I’m thrilled to see that Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night managed to win Best Metroidvania in the DualShockers Game of the Year Awards for 2019. Koji Igarashi had made a lot of claims about what this game would be, and — despite an audience hungry for 2D Castlevania successors — the hype for the title seemed to fizzle. But despite some hype deflation, there is a ton of fun to be had in Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night — especially its signature polish and style that only Iga can bring to a game.
Check out DualShockers‘ review for Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night.
9. Apex Legends
After 2018, I had just about given up on the Battle Royale genre. Everyone was doing it, and seemingly no better than anyone else. Then in comes Apex Legends out of nowhere and takes the esports world by storm overnight. Introducing the ping system and being able to revive teammates — things that would eventually be lifted by other competing titles — Respawn Entertainment was able to show that they have the chops to make in impact in any genre at a moment’s notice.
Check out DualShockers‘ review for Apex Legends.
8. Kingdom Hearts III
Controversial. I know. And perhaps my review for Kingdom Hearts III hasn’t stood the test of time…but I maintain that for all the game’s weirdness and quirks, it was the best PS2 game I played this year. And that’s not to be flippant about it.
There is a market for remastered games in 2019, and sure — Kingdom Hearts III isn’t that. But…isn’t it? Stunning graphics, updated gameplay, and themes and gameplay designs that feel stale in 2019. It is a blast to the past, perhaps a perfection of the Kingdom Hearts series that we’ve known so far. But without some fundamental changes, the series might quickly run its course.
Thankfully, there is a smart development team behind it, and the game is fun. The series certainly has a dedicated fanbase that will stick with it, and I earnestly that they know where the series has to grow. And as we’ve learned, sometimes wishing is just what you need to save the day.
Check out DualShockers’ review for Kingdom Hearts III.
7. Assassin’s Creed Rogue: Remastered
After the news about multiple bugs in Assassin’s Creed Unity, I gave the series a large berth — even after the brief hiatus and soft-relaunch with Assassin’s Creed Origins. With all the clamoring about the series’ comeback, I thought it was time for me to pick up where I left off.
Though I can’t say I’m the biggest fan of the Nintendo Switch port of the game, the underappreciated Assassin’s Creed Rogue is just a much better Black Flag. Where Black Flag pushed the boundaries of what an Assassin’s Creed game could be, Rogue lifts those same elements and layers in a compelling story of betrayal and personal growth.
More importantly, Assassin’s Creed Rogue Remastered feels like an old AssCreed game, and sometimes that is what you need. Relatively short, kind of like a checklist, and great to play as you have something on in the background.

6. Far Cry: New Dawn
Another controversial take, but I really liked Far Cry: New Dawn. Is it perfect? No, not by a longshot. Is it the best evolution that Far Cry has seen since Far Cry 3? Without question.
Here’s the deal: if you don’t actively follow the Far Cry series or never played Far Cry 5, what New Dawn does will probably be lost on you. Adding in RPG elements, overhauling (read as “re-skinning”) Hope County, and linking the games was excellent. But the game was also weird — not nearly substantial enough as a standalone game, but underappreciated and ignored as an expansion.
I still maintain that if Far Cry 5 waited a year and added the content from New Dawn as a late-game epilogue (similar to the ending of Red Dead Redemption 2 or Pokemon Gold/Silver), complete with the radical new tone and gameplay elements, Far Cry 5 would have revolutionized the series at large.
Instead, we have a fun experiment that critically flopped.

5. Slay the Spire
The top five games are really where I spent most of my time this year, and Slay the Spire is probably where I sank the most time. On the other hand, I don’t think I’ve ever put more than an hour into the game in a single sitting. Slay the Spire became my handheld game of the year in 2019, offering a surprising amount of depth and an addictive roguelike structure. It’s hard to explain, but the game scratched an itch in all the right ways.
4. Judgment
I didn’t pick up Judgment until I heard rumblings that the game was in substantial consideration for Game of the Year 2019 (spoiler alert, it won our GOTY award). While it had been a game that I was hoping to play, I — like many people I’d talked to — was waiting to finish the Yakuza series before taking the plunge into a spin-off series.
And while I haven’t beaten the game, it has monopolized my playtime since I’ve started. There is something so perfectly ‘gamey’ about Judgment; it’s fun to play and an absolute joy to watch. With a bit more time, this may have topped my personal list, but chances are I will be exploring Kamurocho for weeks to come.

3. Tetris 99
Tetris 99 is an evil game that wants me to sell my soul to finish in 1st Place. And I’m pretty close to doing just that.

2. Resident Evil 2
Not sure if I’ve ever made this known, but horror games are my jam: both the absurdly polished and the flat out disasterpieces. Without surprise, Resident Evil 2 was in the former, being a terrific game across the board — a love letter to arguably the best game in the storied series’ history. Capcom put in a ton of love and thought into Resident Evil 2, and they should all be recognized for it.

1. Red Dead Redemption 2
It seems like an annual tradition for me to give a top slot to a game that didn’t come out this year — and that’s precisely what is happening again. With all of Red Dead Redemption 2 firmly under my belt, I can say with confidence that this is not only my game of the year… but probably also my game of the generation. It’s been repeated time and time, but Rockstar has reached new heights with the story and characterization of Arthur Morgan that has yet to be surpassed. While I get where the expansive open world and unintuitive gameplay may throw people from the start, those willing to stick around (much like I did this year) will be rewarded tenfold.
