È stato sul comodino un mese e l’ho iniziato ieri ESCLUSIVAMENTE perché conoscerò l’autore. Una cosa stranissima, a pensarci. Oh, sarà un caso, ma i romanzi, le poesie e i racconti che ci propina la professoressa Berti sono tutti di scrittori morti da una vita. Dante Alighieri, Petrarca e quell’altro di cui mi sfugge il nome sono del 1300 o giù di lì. Alessandro Manzoni, 1873. Giacomo Leopardi, 1837. Ugo Foscolo, 1827. Per dire: sui libri non c’è nemmeno la foto di questa gente qua!

Harrison Ford was Spielberg's original choice to play Eddie Valiant, but his price was too high. Chevy Chase was the second choice, but he was not interested. Bill Murray was also considered for the role, but due to his idiosyncratic method of receiving offers for roles, Murray missed out on it. Eddie Murphy reportedly turned down the role as he misunderstood the concept of toons and humans co-existing; he later regretted this decision. Robin Williams, Robert Redford, Jack Nicholson, Sylvester Stallone, Edward James Olmos, Wallace Shawn, Ed Harris, Charles Grodin and Don Lane were also considered for the role. Ultimately, Bob Hoskins was chosen by Spielberg because of his acting skill and because Spielberg believed he had a hopeful demeanor and he looked like he belonged in that era. To facilitate Hoskins' performance, Charles Fleischer dressed in a Roger Rabbit costume and "stood in" behind camera for most scenes. Williams explained Roger was a combination of "Tex Avery's cashew nut-shaped head, the swatch of red hair... like Droopy's, Goofy's overalls, Porky Pig's bow tie, Mickey Mouse's gloves, and Bugs Bunny-like cheeks and ears." Kathleen Turner provided the uncredited voice of Jessica Rabbit, Roger Rabbit's wife. Tim Curry auditioned for the role of Judge Doom, but was rejected because the producers found him too terrifying. Christopher Lee was also considered for the role, but turned it down. John Cleese also expressed interest for the role, but was deemed not scary enough. Peter O'Toole, F. Murray Abraham, Roddy McDowall, Eddie Deezen and Sting were also considered for the role. Christopher Lloyd was cast because he previously worked with Zemeckis and Spielberg on Back to the Future. He compared his part as Doom to his previous role as the Klingon commander Kruge in Star Trek III: The Search for Spock, both overly evil characters which he considered "fun to play". He avoided blinking his eyes while on camera to portray the character.

In the dairy industry

calves are separated from their mothers a day - sometimes only a few hours - after birth to prevent the loss of even a drop of valuable milk. Denied maternal nourishment, they have no way to find comfort or nurse from their mother.

Female calves, like their mothers, confront a bleak fate. Once fertile, at around 12 months, they face a cycle of forced impregnation, grief, mechanical milking, and eventual slaughter.

Male calves may be shipped off to barren feedlots to await slaughter at less than 2 years of age. Others are kept in cramped pens or tiny crates, where they’re prevented from moving so that their flesh will stay tender so that they can be sold for veal.

Trivia:

○ Many of the actors featured in this video had appeared in earlier PattyCake projects.

Hannah had provided many vocals for the "Unexpected Musicals" series, and portrayed Charlotte La Bouff on screen in the Princess Academy holiday special episode.

Mike played the animator in the "Disney Girls Like You" video the previous spring.

Robby, Michael, Navid, Russell, and Chris are all reprising their respective roles from The Villains Lair.

John had embodied Thor for "Avengers: Thunder" a year and a half earlier. He'd also had a supporting role in the PattyCake-produced music video "Dad Bod" from his wife's semi-fictional girl group 4Eva29.

Chaz first appeared as Kronk in the "Teamwork Makes the Scheme Work" episode of The Villiains Lair.

Julian took over the role of Prince Phillip from his brother Jason, who had played him in "Michaeleficent". He'd also had a supporting role in 4Eva29's "Dad Bod" video.

Brad, who plays John Smith here, was previously Prince Adam in "Beauty and the Bieber".

○ Some of the new faces made a good enough impression to be asked back for future productions.

Steve has reprised the role of Hans in the second season of the Villains Lair series.

Deion would soon play one of the restless folks enduring lockdown in "Quarantine: the Musical".

Daniel has returned several times over the ensuing years for roles in "Once Upon a Time: the musical", "Villains Haunted Mansion", and a tongue-in-cheek version of "It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year" featuring The Grinch.

○ Ever After Character Events, who got a shoutout in the end screen, provide costumed performers for parties and other events in the Orlando area. Unsurprisingly, many of their services are for Disney princesses, but several of these cast members had also worked with them as princes, superheroes, and pirates.

○ There's a slight production error with the time the video takes place. The analog clock on the wall sits at 6 o'clock, but the phone's lock screen shows 12:00.

○ The rubber Hei-Hei later appeared in VoicePlay's music video for "Friends on the Other Side", filmed on PattyCake's stage procenium set with J.None wearing their Dr. Facilier costume.

9 people you'd like to know better

Ok, let me tell you: If I had seen this notification on any other site I would have panicked and run away, but these few days I spent on Tumblr got me feeling more social and less scared to post than ever! So thank you very much @herbgroom for tagging me! I did get startled by it, but am excited to give it a go!

Last song: Currently listening "They'll Find You"  by Griffinilla ft. CK9C. My FNaF phase is back, could you tell?

Currently watching: I don’t watch much other than YouTube unless I want to see a specific actor buuuuut I just got around to watching Novecento today. People told me the protagonists looked like the boys from Pathologic. They were not kidding. Even Olmo’s posture reminded me of Artemy and De Niro kinda ruined daydreaming about who to cast in live-action Pathologic to me so… Also it was a weird, old but good movie. After the “hehehe Pathologic” wore off I was actually hooked on the plot. I cried. Heavy movie in some parts.  

Currently reading: Does an online course count? I’m going through the Drawabox free stuff because I spent years without drawing and have to relearn, so I figure I should go back to the basics! Also took Scott Roger’s Level Up out of the shelf for a rereading this week because I think I didn’t really absorb the content the first time. *cof* *cof* because the jokes about Lara Croft’s ass bothered me *cof* *cof*

Current obsession: Do anyone go through that period where is hard to choose wallpapers because nothing is rotting your brain too much? That’s me right now. I’m grinding the Good Christian Boy achievement on Faith and being on Tumblr inspired to seriously design and post about the most random MCU Variant OC that has been living rent-free in my head since What If… So in my free time, I play Faith and overanalyze MCU costumes, but is not really taking the entire of my brain power like my previous obsessions. :(

Let me add the fun fact that I talk too much! In case it wasn't clear.

BEST XI 24-25 (WIP)

どうも、アラサー引きこもり海外サッカーオタクおじさんです。SNSから離れて情報を遮断し、U-NEXTでLa LigaとPremier Leagueの配信アーカイブを消費する日々。人生詰んでいます。気がついたら今シーズン、日本語実況付きの試合はほぼ観ている。実況解説フェチ。ガキの頃から倉敷さん推し。

さて、「La LigaとPremire Leagueの今シーズン前半のお気に入りベストイレブン」を作って遊びます。小学生の頃に自由帳に書いていたやつ。現実逃避で幼児退行。シーズン後に見直すためのメモ。（シーズン後にも書くとは言っていない）

勝手な縛りで「1チーム1人だけ」にします。これのせいで勝手にたくさん悩みました。でもこういうのが楽しいのよ。選考基準もゆるゆるです。観ている試合も偏りまくりです。スタッツではなく印象と好みで選びます。なので異論は絶対に認めません。絶対に〜〜〜

La Liga

某アプリでそれっぽい画像を作ってみたら、いきなりデータが存在しない選手が出てきてしまった。悲しい。早く反映されますように。

Agirrezabala (23) / Athletic Club 同クラブだとユニフォームも買ったNico、違いを作れるようになってきたJauregizarあたりも入れたかったけど、Unai Simónが抜けた穴をここまで埋め切れるものかということで応援選出。昨シーズンより足元も良くなってきている気がする。バルサのIñaki Peñaも同様に素晴らしいけど、ここはバスク推しが勝ちました。

Asencio (21) / Real Madrid La Fábrica育ちのCBと聞くとすぐにPavónを思い出してしまうおじさん。たしかプレシーズンでも見たような気はするけど、こんなに落ち着いていたかしら。Cubarsíに負けず劣らず将来が気になる。早くカード作ってもらってね。マドリーだとBrahimも入れたいところだった、というか、もっと出してあげてください。

N. Aguerd (28) / Real Sociedad もちろんZubimendi、Zubeldia、Remiroの活躍はありながら、前半の堅さは確実にこの人のお陰です。ここまですぐにフィットするとは思わなかった。常に対角のタケを見ているし、空中戦も強い。怪我だけしないでね。絶賛伸び盛りのAramburu、コパで気になったPablo Marínにも頑張ってほしい。あとユニフォームを買っちゃったのでTurrientesよ…頼むぜ…。

Mingueza (25) / Celta de Vigo よく走れて、対人も強く、ゴールに絡む積極性もあり、両サイドともに任せられる。え、すごくない？マドリー戦の前半も圧巻だったし、ここからさらに評価されていくはず。全試合観ているわけではないけどムラっ気もなさそう。カメラでMoribaとAlonsoと���バルサトリオで抜かれることが多い気がする。おそらく意図的。

Mika Mármol (23) / Las Palmas 咋シーズンから良かったけど改めて注目している。左で起用されることでチームの攻守のバランスを担っているイメージ。Cillessen、Kirianも渋いし、Fábio Silvaはのびのびとプレーできているし、後半戦は曲者として暴れてほしい。

Samú Costa (23) / Mallorca 潰せるし、戦えるし、意外にレフティー。上手さも持っている。Darder、Muriqi、Mojica（も入れておかないと怒られそう）らベテラン勢の前線での仕事を支えるのがこの若手というのもなんか良い。Robert Navarroも徐々に居場所を見つけられそうだし、ジャガー（とは呼ばれていないらしいけど）も復活して益々楽しみ。

G. Lo Celso (28) / Real Betis 怪我もあったけど序盤の輝きは素晴らしかった。やっぱり「サッカーが上手い選手」という印象。Isco不在の中でAbde、Vitor Roqueへの配給役としても最高。1列下がったときに強度を出せればIscoと共存とかもあり得るのでしょうか。どうなんですかベティコのみなさま。

Dani Olmo (26) / FC Barcelona 私なんかが偉そうに語ることはないです。10年前にフリーでクロアチア送りにしたフロントを恨むクレたちには同情しかないです。同様に戻ってきてレジェンドとなったパイセンたちに続いてほしい。

Álex Baena (22) / Villarreal 昨シーズンからオリンピックまで圧巻だったけど、今シーズンも完全にチームの中心。左サイドだけどいわゆるエストレーモではなく、10番が似合うけど16番を付けている、王道じゃないヒーローという感じが好き。Ayoseとも良い関係性。あとはGerard Morenoが完全復活すれば恐ろしいチームになりそう。

G. Simeone (21) / Atlético Madrid スタメンでも途中出場でも全力で汗をかく。アトレティではなくても初ゴールは感動しちゃった。インタビューの受け答えも息子感満載（？）でグッと来る。応援しちゃう。Gallagher（ガラゲールって発音されるの面白い）も含めて新加入選手が一瞬でシメオネイズムに染まっていくのはさすが。

C. Uche (21) / Getafe 今シーズン一番の衝撃。アッコさんじゃなくてもあなた��何をされてる方なの？と聞かざるを得ない。前線で起用する監督もすごいけど、それに応えるのもすごい。まだまだ波はあるけどそれも含めて気になって見てしまう。ValenciaのHugo Duro、GironaのAsprillaあたりも悩んだけど、前半戦ということであえて選出。

Premier League

こちらは全員ちゃんと出てきました。La Ligaよりさらにニワカなので許してね。

A. Onana (28) / Manchester United めっちゃ伸びる、めっちゃ跳ねる。監督交代でさらに足元の重要度が増した印象。Unitedは直近だとまさかのウイングバックAmadが最高ですね。

B. Davies (31) / Tottenham Hotspur 困った時のベテランですよ。調べたら自分とタメで誕生日がカーチャンと一緒なので応援することにします。Kulusevskiはインサイドハーフ（インテリオールって言いがち）も出来るあたりにIQの高さを感じる。

Murillo (21) / Nottingham Forest 前線の足速い人たち（すみませんニワカで）も偉いんだけど、この人もだいぶ偉い（すみません語彙がなくて）。すぐビッグ6あたりに抜かれそうだけど、フォレストが古豪から復活していく中でレジェンドになる様も見てみたい。

I. Konaté (25) / Liverpool 前線のスターたちに負けず劣らず、今シーズンさらに迫力を増している気がする。マヤヨシダ氏が言及するVVDの（良くも悪しくも）ヤバいラインコントロールにも余裕で対応している印象。

C. Baleba (20) / Brighton & Hove Albion はい、出ました。100億で売れる子です。デカい、気が利く、左利き。いる・いないで中盤の強度がまるで違う。O'Rileyも気になるし、van Heckeも逞しくなってきたし、ほーんとに面白いチーム。

M. Kovačić (30) / Manchester City 全員が上手いチームの中でも意外に足りない中央での運び屋おじさん。得点の匂いもするようになって、まだ成長している感じすらある。マドリー時代のタフな印象もまだまだ健在で、気になって見てしまう。

T. Dibling (18) / Southampton さすがセインツ、イキの良い若手が出てくる。数字が伴っていなくてもすぐに引き抜かれそうな才能。ファイトできる気持ちの強さ、ブリテン感も良い。Lallanaからたくさん学ぶんだよ。

O. Hutchinson (20) / Ipswich Town ボールの持ち方、ファイナルサードでの落ち着き、足元の技術、スピードもあって伸び代ありまくりな印象。Tuanzebe、Greaves、Szmodics、Delapなど個性的なメンバーも多く、見ていて楽しい。

C. Palmer (22) / Chelsea もう前半戦MVPで良いんじゃないですか。言うことなし。

M. Rogers (21) / Aston Villa 大器感満載。フィジカル、とりわけ体幹が強いイメージ。縦に速いエメリのサッカーの中で違いを作れる選手がいるのは面白い。同じような理由で、個人的にはもっとBarkleyが見たいです。エメリ先生！

L. Trossard (29) / Arsenal 8月ヴィラ戦の途中出場即ゴール後ブチギレパフォーマンスが最高すぎた。いつでもどこでも結果を出せる。若手主体の中で安定感��出せる選手は貴重。Ødegaardの代わりができる選手がこの世に何人いるかという…。
