LIMA, OHIO: A TOWN DIVIDED

It’s 2017, a time when discrimination is frowned upon, and segregation is meant to be a thing of the past, yet Lima, Ohio stands out among the masses and remains divided. Not a single Lima native can remember a time before this; a time before the Greasers – the poor, lower class families – of the South were pitted against the Socials – the wealthier, high-class families – of the North. An unfortunate “tradition” passed down throughout generations, with no amount of change ever proving capable of ridding the town of its divide. Bouts of violence and bigotry have become part of the norm when both sides cross paths.

However, Mayor Smythe – whose loyalty lies with the Socials – intends to try to make the city a “safer, more respectable place.” But at what cost? His views and propositions are against all that is the Greasers. If the Greasers don’t stand their ground and stick up for what they believe, their numbers are sure to begin dwindling, the tight-knit family that they had created with one another bound to be torn apart.

But, now, the tension between the Greasers and Socials is higher than ever, especially among their youth. Interacting with one another on a daily basis has proved to only heighten the animosity. Both sides are only attempting to survive and fight for their own beliefs, no matter how violent the outcome may be.

The train-wreck that you loved  to hate becoming a source of admiration after their triumphant  comeback. The number of infidelities and bitter arguments that you never  heard about involving that jealousy inducing pair that has always  appeared to be the epitome of couple goals.

Dirt  is a reputable – or infamous, depending on who you  ask – tabloid based out of Los Angeles, California, chock full of  reporters and paparazzi that travel the world, documenting today’s  hottest celebrities’ every move. With their resources, as well as their  following, Dirt is capable of manipulating the lives of the  aforementioned celebrities, be it for better or for worse.Here we  can give you a helping hand. We can give you the boost you need to snag  the latest role. Possibly help you make your album a best seller. Play  along and things will be just fine. Don’t and, well, you can say goodbye  to the money and fame because, surely, a scandal is in your future.  We’ll scratch your back if you scratch ours. It’s just that simple.

Jane/Roderick (in an alternate universe where they became the ship we thought they could be in ep 2 of season 6) :P

Who asks the other on dates: At first, it was Jane who would go out of her way to ask Roderick out on dates, but after a while, once Roderick grew more comfortable and confident with voicing out loud what he wanted, he began to ask Jane out. Jane was pleasantly surprised the first time he did, but she’s done everything she could to encourage him to do it more often. She finds it especially endearing when he chooses the course of their night. Who is the bigger cuddler: Jane loves cuddling Roderick. Roderick wasn’t accustomed to it at first, but he’s grown to love the way she leans against him, her head resting on his shoulder or tucked in the crook of his neck. Who initiates holding hands more often: Neither tend to go out of their way to hold hands, but if their hands should brush together when they walk down the hall together, they’d have a hard time hiding the smiles from their faces.Who remembers anniversaries: They’d both definitely remember their anniversaries. They perhaps make an act of not remembering, but only to rile the other up, then go on and surprise them later on. Who is more possessive: I will answer it for both this one and the next one - neither. Jane’s confident in herself and her man, so she wouldn’t ever get jealous and consequently possessive of Roderick. Roderick also allows Jane her space enough to not be the same way. Maybe once he was slightly jealous, but Jane caught him right then and there and told him the last thing she wanted was him to doubt that she was entirely enamored by him and him alone. That was the last time he was ever truly jealous.Who gets more jealous: Look above.Who is more protective: Jane is SO protective of Roderick. She knows that quite a few people tease him unjustly, so whenever she catches it, she calls it out - she isn’t here to see anyone tease or hurt him. Roderick hates it, but Jane can’t help herself. She’s protective of the people she cares about by nature. Who is more likely to cheat: Neither. Enough said. Who initiates sexy times the most: Jane would definitely initiate it more often than Roderick does. She isn’t shy to say she wants. Who dislikes PDA the most: It’d be Roderick who hates the PDA, if only because it adds onto the unwanted attention he gets from others. People still whisper mean names about him, and he’s well aware of it, so the last thing he wants added on to that is the, “She’s only going out with him because she feels sorry for him,” whispers. Who kills the spider: Jane would get the spider and let it out outside. One wouldn’t think Roderick gets as freaked out as he gets over them, but Jane once caught him screaming in an octave she didn’t know he could reach when he saw a particularly nasty one. Jane had no choice but to go see what it was - and sure enough, it was the spider that had him spooked and as pale as a sheet. Who asks the the other to marry them: While Jane would’ve liked to propose in order to challenge the gender norm, it was actually Roderick who asked first. She was so taken aback, but couldn’t help but say yes. Who buys the other flowers or gifts: I don’t really see either as going out of their way to buy the other flowers or gifts. I don’t see Jane and Roderick being too materialistic save for the things they truly enjoy - that being music, of course. For special occasions, they’d buy the other gifts, but surprising them out of the blue with a gift is very rare. Who would bring up possibly having kids: Jane would bring up kids once she’s finished school entirely and had quite a few years in the career she wanted to follow. I have a feeling neither would start a family in their 20s, but once things are more settled in their 30s, they’d talk about it. Who is more nervous to meet the parents: Roderick was definitely nervous to meet Jane’s parents, especially since she comes from such a prestigious family, but she did her best to reassure to him that they’d love him. And she was right. Her mom loves how nice and courteous Roderick is, and Roderick and Mr. Hayward bonded over their shared love of the same music. Who sleeps on the couch when the other is angry: Neither would sleep on the couch, but Jane would definitely make it a point to face away from him and hog the blanket as much as she could. Who tries to make up first after arguments: Jane is far too stubborn for her own good sometimes, but she’d likely apologize first once she ran the scenario in her head over and over again - that is, if it was her overreacting or she was at fault. Otherwise, Roderick would truly have to make it up to her. Who tells the other they love them more often: Roderick tells her he loves her all of the time without actively saying the words. In every gesture he does for her, Jane knows that that boy loves her dearly.

Honestly, I don’t ship Mason and Jane. I always really wanted a Jane and Roderick story line. There was just something about their chemistry that made their relationship more interesting to watch, even though they hardly ever interacted.

Roderick NEEDED for an Active Glee Soulmate RP!

For as long as humans have recorded history, they have written of the wondrous euphoria of finding one’s soulmate. How, since the dawn of time, humans have searched out that one true love whose name would appear from the blurred smears of a ‘blemish,’ creating a true ‘soulmark.’ Even before humans formed words into letters, a soulmate’s handprint would appear on a person’s skin. However, many people go their whole lives without ever finding that one person who completes them. In fact, most have given up hope of ever seeing the smudged marks of a ‘blemish’ form a full name. Because of this, there have been many soulmate advocates through the years, but none so devoted and steadfast than the proprietors of the Ame Cerise cafes and bars, Hiram and LeRoy Berry.

I love that she doesn’t quite clue into the normal flow of relationships - it suits the twins’ oddness. And it’s nice to see Roderick get to be the emotionally adult one occasionally. While my goal is never to make there be an imbalance between two characters (Roderick being the "adult" and Madison "not quite cluing in") it is my goal to keep them in character and I figured in this dynamic they might behave just this way. This fandom is marvelous. I'd like to thank anybody who's left me feedback, including in the tags (I read them ALL). I won't name names because I'm ound to embarrass myself and leave someone out, but you know who you are. And I feel like I haven't talked to you enough.
