Understanding 8mm Rod Price Per Piece: A Comprehensive Guide for Construction Projects
Tumblr media
To ensure the durability and structural soundness of projects, the construction industry depends on high-quality materials. Among these vital elements, TMT bars are key for strengthening concrete structures; 8mm rods are especially important for a range of construction applications.
Understanding Material Specifications
TMT bars, which are abbreviated as Thermo-Mechanically Treated bars, comprise the backbone of modern construction projects. Generally, the prices of 8mm rods vary significantly based on several key factors provided below:
Steel grade and composition
The quality of the manufacturing process
Market demand and supply dynamics
Transportation costs
Quantities
Prices of 8mm rods do vary significantly. Construction professionals should consider multiple quality parameters while evaluating them:
Tensile Strength: High-quality TMT bars offer superior tensile strength, crucial for load-bearing capacity. While premium bars might command higher prices, their enhanced durability often justifies the investment.
Corrosion Resistance: Superior-grade binding wire and TMT bars resist corrosion better, extending the structure's lifespan. This factor significantly influences the price per piece and long-term maintenance costs.
Brand Certification: Reliable manufacturers test their TMT bars stringently to meet the industry's requirements. The certifications usually influence the price but ensure that it will work without fail.
Market Fluctuations and Price Variation
The market for construction materials is constantly changing with price variations based on:
Cost of Raw Materials: Steel prices directly impact 8mm rod price per piece.
Seasonal Demand: Prices may increase due to peak construction activity.
Global Economic Factors: International trade policies and steel market trends.
Local Market Competition: Regional supplier dynamics and availability.
Optimizing Purchase Decisions
To reduce construction material costs without compromising on quality:
Compare Suppliers: Get quotes from different suppliers, including their delivery terms and minimum order quantities.
Check Quality Certificates: Ensure TMT bars are BIS compliant and have proper certification marks.
Calculate Total Costs: Include transportation, handling, and wastage costs while comparing 8mm rod price per piece.
Project Requirements: Material specifications must be matched with structural requirements to avoid over-specification or compromised safety.
Long-term Value Considerations
Investing in quality construction materials pays great dividends:
Structural Integrity: Premium TMT bars ensure better load distribution and structural stability.
Maintenance Savings: High-grade materials require less maintenance and repairs over time.
Project Timeline: Quality binding wire and TMT bars enable faster construction with fewer material-related delays.
Safety Compliance: Certified materials help meet building codes and safety regulations.
Pragmatic Advice in Sourcing Construction Materials
How to get it right when procuring construction materials:
Keep specifications documentation for all materials.
Build relationships with the right suppliers.
Use strategic purchasing based on market trends.
Implement quality controls upon delivery.
Store materials properly to prevent degradation.
Planning Ahead for Construction Projects
The construction industry continues to evolve, with new technologies and materials entering the market. However, traditional elements like TMT bars remain fundamental to construction success. Understanding 8mm rod price per piece variations helps project managers:
Optimize budget allocation.
Ensure consistent material quality.
Maintain project timelines.
Achieve desired structural performance.
Conclusion
Making the right choice in construction materials is always a balancing act between cost considerations and quality requirements. Though the initial prices for premium TMT bars and binding wire are a little higher, long-term benefits generally outweigh the short-term costs. Understanding market dynamics and quality parameters helps construction professionals make the right decisions for the success of the project. Through careful planning and informed decision-making, projects can achieve both structural excellence and cost efficiency, ensuring successful outcomes for all stakeholders involved.Remember, the true value of construction materials lies beyond the price per piece, which is to say, they make structures safe, durable, and reliable for many years.

Dottores younger segments have harsh mood swings, and so the lab equipment is extra durable to accommodate his anger issues. Things like glass beakers, rods, and specimen jars are made of extra durable glass in case he throws them. There's stim toys and chews everywhere so he can Try and deal with his emotions healthily. This is all more common in the teen and young adult clones. The older ones have suppressed their emotions so they can do more science™️. He has never gotten violent or angry at you though, he could never. If he hurt you, he'd go insane... well... more insane.
Smut below
There are only two ways to calm him down when he's like this. Wait or get you. It takes time still, and he's incredibly clingy because his mind is too loud, and he's frustrated, but he calms down. Sometimes his mind is loud in a way that needs to be fucked out of him. It has to be hard rough bordering on too much when he's like this, or else it just adds to his frustrations. Either way once he's finally calm he's exhausted even if you didn't fuck him he's tired that much rage takes everything out of him and he has to nap for like 4 hours.

Dragon with a metal as fuck (literally) prosthetic wing!!
More Prosper content :D I feel an indescribable amount of love for this dragon. And the cool ass wing designs I can give her.
Even though the entire concept of this prosthetic functioning is quite literally impossible, I still put some actual thought into the design’s fictional functionality (hey that was alliteration).
The wing is piloted with a rod that is connected to her remaining organic wing that synchronises the movements (think Toothless’ automatic tailfin). The fingers of the wing are connected together at the top and don’t all independently move, it’s based on a rig that is controlled by the very outer finger. If that one is half folded in the other 5 fingers will correspond with that, if it is fully extended the other five will correspond with that etc etc. The fact that her wings have to by synchronised is by no means easy to operate. She cannot do most basic manoeuvres in the air, even turning to the left/right whilst in flight is extremely dependant on her secondary hip wings and her tail fins. It is nowhere near having a real, attached to her body wing, but it still gives her the ability to fly again. And long distance flying is still a pain in the ass because the massive scars all along the right side of her body get irritated after a while.
A lot of the thought behind the design came from how odd it felt that httyd 3 just… got rid of Toothless’ disability? Like yeah he was still missing a tail fin but it might as well just have grown back. He has a new, fully functional, doesn’t need to be taken off, apparently doesn’t even need maintenance, fire proof and extremely durable prosthetic that just allowed him to function as if he wasn’t disabled? In the Viking age as well?? Even in the modern day we don’t have prosthetics that can fully restore permanent, none skin irritating, doesn’t need to be fixed up ‘replacement’ limbs. Yes there are some very high quality prosthetic limbs that can restore a lot of functionality and give a very good quality of life, but it is not a new limb. It’s a prosthetic. It doesn’t change the fact that there is a missing body part. It doesn’t completely replace every single functionality of a real limb? The film just entirely disregarded that fact that Toothless had a disability. Just slap a technologically impossible bit of gear work on his tail and BOOM he’s fixed. No that’s not how that works you fucking idiot 😭 His skin would get irritated, the fin would eventually need to be repaired because again IT WAS THE MEDIEVAL ERA. I know Hiccup was smart but girl he was not smart enough to invent an indestructible replacement body part. We can’t do that in 2024, let alone 1000 or whenever the fuck httyd is set.
Anyway going off that rant, whilst Prosper does regain the ability to fly, it is very limited, not for long periods of time and kind of painful. Because that’s what happens when you get a whole ass limb torn from your body. It tends to hurt and not be ‘fixable.’

I have a really dumb idea for Fearless.  Getaway happens, again.  The crew is trapped on the necroplanet with six hours before the djd comes knocking down the door.  When Megatron goes off to talk to Tarn, Fearless follows because why the fuck not.  Maybe they make their presence known the moment that Megatron offers to exchange himself for everyone elses safety with a loud objection.  Maybe they wait until a fight starts and Megatron gets the shit beat outta him to try and (fail) stop Tarn.  Either way I want the angst to the max.  Tarn taunting Megs for his hypocrisy, from wiping out organic planets by the dozen to practically begging for Tarn not to hurt Fearless.
Side note, not sure how this would fit into the angst but I'm laughing at the idea of Tarn having an almost a one-sided rivalry with Fearless because he went from being Megatron’s favorite student to second to a tiny fleshling.
Instant Angst coming right up!
Hope you enjoy!
Fearless VS Tarn
SFW, Platonic, ANGST, Familial, mention of wounds and some injuries, nothing too graphic, Human reader
MTMTE
Fearless wanted to go on the planetary mission with the Rod Squad.
But Megatron simple said no.
So, they tried asking Magnus, with a report too!
Still no.
They even went to Rodimus to ask to go.
Even he said no!
Fearless already was processing a sick note for the Co-captain when they saw the squad leaving.
They quickly got into their battle suit (similar to Verity’s in Last Stand of the Wrecker’s) and hopped into one of the larger med kits.
Getaway transmission inside the Necrobot’s dome. Getaway: “And now Rodimus what are you going to do? The entire crew on this ship voted mutiny. All you bots will die like pathetic fools along side Megatron. I’ll make sure to say something to Fearless for you.” Rodimus: “I swear if you lay a digit on them—” CLICK! The call had declined. Rodimus looked stressed while Megatron looked like he was going to have a stroke. Everyone who heard suddenly got worried about their little human on the ship. It wasn’t any news about Getaway behaving certain ways around organics, especially after the incident. Megatron clenching his servos. TAP! TAP! One of the larger med kits Swerve had brought in suddenly moved. Swerve: “Oh great! The med kits are possessed now!” The tap opens and Fearless pops their head out. Fearless: “Who was carrying the medkits!? I swear I nearly lost my lunch—what’s everyone looking at? Did someone die?” Megatron looks like he is about to faint. Magnus sure did. Megatron: “WHY ARE YOU HERE!?” Fearless puts their hands up in surrender. Whirl: “Megs I think you need to get your priorities checked. This is great!” Megatron: “And pray tell why having one of the most vulnerable crew members on the ship, well what’s left of the original crew, here in the same place we are going to get slaughtered by the DJD is great!?” Fearless: “…what in the world did I miss…”
Fearless wordlessly as Megatron explained their situation.
By the end of it they swore they were going to kick Getaway’s tin can so far, he would be forever drifting in space.
The small human had never met the DJD in their life.
They heard stories about the group from other bots around the ship, but it was almost like they were too scared to even speak their names.
They tried one time talking to Megatron about them, it earned them a weeklong silent treatment.
To Fearless, they were more bad guys that had made their family miserable and deathly afraid of.
They didn’t truly know what DJD did.
Fearless decided to make themselves a bit useful and tried to help more panicy bots calm down.
Apparently, it helped the bots calm down when they held/petted/cuddled them close, and they were going to bare it for their sakes.
They noticed that some bots were going to need more durable things to hold and fidget with.
Thankfully they spotted a couple of loose bolts inside a bright pink scooter.
Too bad that the scooter started up knocking them out for a bit.
When Fearless eventually comes out of their ‘nap’ they immediately open up the compartment and sees a bunch of blue flowers.
They hop off and see Megatron standing in front of a statue… of himself?
Suddenly a new bot came out of nowhere and transformed in front of Megatron.
They glared at the mysterious mech.
Something was wrong.
Something was definitely wrong…
The human’s eyes nearly popped out of their skull when they heard Megatron address Tarn about surrendering to keep the crew safe.
What was this!?!?
They were still processing what Megatron had said when Tarn started beating him up.
Fearless was ready to see Megatron completely annihilate his metal behind.
They just stared in horror seeing their father figure not even attempting to defend himself.
The tiny human was FURIOUS!
Fearless runs, jumps on Megatron’s chassis, raises their blasters up at the purple Con with fire in their eyes. Fearless: “GET AWAY FROM HIM!” Megatron feels his spark stop seeing Fearless on his chassis YELLING at TARN! Tarn was surprised to see a human DEFENDING Megatron. Tarn: “What is this? Oh, I see. You truly have changed Megatron. From making every organic life form quake in your presence, to having to rely on them to fight your battles?” Tarn laughs as he takes a step forward. Fearless readies their blasters. Fearless: “I’m warning you! Stay away from us!” Tarn: “Ha! What is the little organic going to do? I am Tarn! Leader of the Decepticon Justice Division! Megatron’s chosen one!” Fearless: “You sure about that? Cause last time I checked my names on the adoption papers and not yours.” Tarn is in a slight stuttering mess, not expecting to hear that comment. Megatron tries to move his servo but can’t: “Fearless don’t provoke him!” Tarn: “You are a peculiar organic, aren’t you? Sadly, you won’t be remembered.” Fearless glares at Tarn. Fearless: “I’m not going to repeat myself Tarn, but I’ll do it for you so your tiny processor can comprehend. Stay away from us or I WILL—” Tarn: “What are you going to do? Blast me in the face?” Fearless with a determined smile: “Yes.” BLAST! Fearless had indeed blasted Tarn in the face, then proceeded to JUMP on his chassis and started punching and shooting. Tarn was too startled to properly think what was going on as the human started climbing and tearing parts of his armor. Fearless looks behind them and straight at Megatron. They had a desperate look on their face. Fearless: “GO!”
Megatron laid down on the floor for a couple of seconds stunned at what his organic child had just done.
He scrambled up and attempted to get Fearless.
Sadly, Tarn had gotten to his senses and grabbed Fearless harshly.
The leader of the DJD’s armor was dented and some holes sprinkled around.
Fearless had a scowl on their face and thrashed around in his clenched servo.
Tarn just flexed his digits and made Fearless stop and gasped hearing something snap.
That’s not good…
Megatron yelled at him to spar Fearless.
Tarn felt disgusted… and a bit jealous.
How come Megatron cared so much about his puny organic when he had him!?
Tarn sadistically laughed and threw Fearless into his subspace.
Megatron was about to demand Fearless back again when Overlord suddenly descended from the sky and demanded Tarn to hand Megatron over so he could terminate him.
Megatron slipped away with a heavy spark to the dome.
When he returned to the crew, Megatron told them what happened and who had taken Fearless.
Whirl was about to exit the dome at that same second if Cyclonus and Magnus hadn’t tackled him down.
Rodimus did his best to calm the crew, despite the sinking pit in his tank.
Everyone knew the chances Fearless had alone with Tarn.
They were slim to nonexistent.
Meanwhile, Tarn had just arrived with the rest of his group.
He opened his subspace and carelessly tossed the human aside.
Fearless yelped when they landed on one of their legs.
Another snap.
Oh, if Ratchet ever found out about this…
Well good news was that he wasn’t even here… yeah… good news…
Tarn just gave them a simple order to stay put.
He wanted to destroy them in front of Megatron.
No one else was to touch them under his orders.
A silver lining, now all they needed to do was figure out a way to get back to the crew and not die in the process.
Just two things.
While Fearless was starting to worry about the shortness of breath and hot/cold flashes they were feeling, they barely noticed much of the battle happening around them.
It wasn’t until Tarn and most of his group had gone to personally fight that Fearless realize that they had been left in the ‘care’ of the light blue minibot that had been giving them the stink eye since they snapped their leg.
Suddenly the minibot told them that she didn’t see them escape before head to Deathsaurus.
Fealess suddenly realized they had no one guarding them.
They yelped and grunted as they tried getting up.
Thankfully they didn’t need to stand up for too long thanks to a familiar looking felicon racing to them.
Ravage: “Fearless!” Ravage skid to a stop in front of the barely standing human. Fearless managed to give him a tight smile before leaning on him. He smelled them a bit. Ravage: “You’re bleeding.” Fearless: “That’s probably from the broken bone.” Ravage: “What is broken?!” Fearless: “Yeah and I think something in my chest snapped too…” Ravage kneels letting Fearless struggle to get on. He flinches hearing their labored breathing and yelps. Ravage: “This isn’t going to be a smooth ride Fearless. Hold on tight and don’t let go.” Fearless gripping part of his armor: “Wasn’t planning on it.”
Fearless didn’t know what was worse.
Focusing on the pain in their chest and leg or focusing on the battle around them.
They definitely needed to apologize to Ravage for how hard they were clenching his armor.
Most didn’t even take notice of the felicon being used to move the injured human.
Sadly, there was one mech on the battlefield that had taken notice.
Fearless sees the giant shadow dwarfing them and Ravage. All they see is Tarn’s large servo reach for them. Fearless raises one of their arms and starts blasting. Fearless: “GO BACK TO THE PITS WHERE YOU BELONG!” It only slows down Tarn a bit. It wasn’t enough. Tarn slaps hard at Fearless’s smaller body. To Ravage’s horror he sees the smaller body get plunged into the fray, swallowed by the fire and smoke of the battlefield. Ravage: “FEARLESS!” A pair of mechs had just seen the act from the screen. One of them immediately ran out.
Time skip after the battle…
The bots who were well enough to walk started rounded up around Terminus and Megatron.
Megatron was trying to recruit a search party for Fearless.
When Megatron had gone out, it was impossible to find their tiny body amongst the chaos around.
Even right after dealing with the DJD and Rodimus pulling him out of the place, there was still no sign of Fearless.
Hope was dwindling fast.
Megatron: “All right, in 5 minutes we depart.” Skids (yes, he lives): “Count me in.” Rung holds Skids back: “With the low energy you have, I don’t think that’s wise Skids.” Skids: “Fearless is out there, we need every bot on deck.” Whirl hobbling over: “He’s right Eyebrows. My Amica is out there and needs us.” Terminus looking at one of the monitors. Terminus: “Your human is small, correct?” Megatron not looking: “Yes.” Terminus: “And in some form of armor?” Megatron still not looking: “Yes.” Terminus: “They leak a lot of red fluids?” Megatron pauses before looking at the screen. Fearless was INSIDE the dome and staggering to the door. Megatron: “Sweet Solus Prime!” Megatron sprints to the door faster than he ever had in his life.
No one knows how Fearless got this far.
Ratchet tells them that it shouldn’t even be possible for them to move with the amount of blood loss and broken bones.
But he wasn’t complaining.
No one is.
Ratchet doesn’t leave Fearless’s side for a couple of hours.
Ratchet stands up with Fearless, bandaged up and limp. Ratchet: “I need someone to hold Fearless, very still, for a while.” Megatron: “I’ll do it.” Ratchet: “No offense Megatron, but you’re shaking like a new recruit. Any harsh movement is not what they need right now.” Whirl hobbles over and opens his cockpit. Carefully he reclines the seat and pulls out one of Fearless’s blankets from his subspace. Whirl: “I’ll take them Doc. I’ll even sit down in the corner.” Ratchet hesitates, but the determined look in Whirl’s optic finally made him gently lay Fearless inside. As soon as Ratchet finished putting Fearless down, Megatron came up and carefully tucked them in. Fearless slightly snuggles closer to the blanket. Terminus peaks over Megatron’s shoulder. Terminus: “They mean that much to you?” Megatron watches Whirl carefully hobble to a corner and sat down. He didn’t miss the Ex-Wrecker carefully adjust their blanket. Megatron: “Yes, yes they do.”

You find a weird folded paper in your wallet. It describes how 3 months from now a monster will come to your area and you have to deal with it. Below is the list of monsters, one of which you must tick off, lest all of them arrive. Your choices are the following:
Sinless Steve:a dazzling wrestler with long thick messy hair, blessed with the ability of no one realizing when he does a sin or breaks a law or even says something bad. He's also strong enough to walk through steel as if it was tinfoil and durable enough to get run over by a car and be pretty much unscathed, thus he has to turn his powers off to wrestle. Apart from that he is a normal human serial killer through and through. No details were given on why he kills people instead of just robbing a company and buying enough drugs to kill an elephant like a normal person would
An invisible dinosaur with human intelligence. While not specifying the type of dinosaur an image of a car with a stepped on,crushed front was provided so that's a way to gauge its size. The dinosaur was described as a callous, sadistic creature that is very racist towards humans and said its feathers were a mutated ochre color. No mentions of what this mutation is were present in the letter
A strigoi which means a mythical nosferatu looking ass vampiric undead. It is strong as hell and more aggressive than a hyena. In its previous life it was a renowned fisherman and it still uses a fishing rod haunted by his wife. He uses it to catch people. If you hold religious faith holding a religious symbol up will hurt him a little. You could torture some occult knowledge out of him maybe
Hisia:a decrepit looking smelly sludge amoeba that eats plant life. It's a slime monster basically. Sings a weird bellowing song that makes people tremble, those who get close enough having their organs rupturing from the sound. Smells like rotten food,so much so that flies constantly die trying to go towards it
Lebo Nigoryx:a 10 meter tall troll with 4 heads and 9 arms. their blood is acid, their mere breath poison and the touch of their scorched palms is a wildfire, setting aflame all they touch. Weakened by lead. Has a specific grudge on native americans. Or it prefers their taste. Afraid of hawks
Kevin Jameson Jones:a man from a parallel earth with multiple steampunk enhancements in his body. The machine implanted on his chest allows him to change into different mutated forms including an anglerfish form,a really tall hermaphrodite human form,a beastly canine form,a hyper fast feline form,a songbird form and a fire breathing pangolin form. This knock-off Ben ten does human experimentations to test new forms he could make. If you beat him he will willingly transplant his machines to you and then live to serve you as long as you allow him to add more forms. Has baggy eyes and messy black hair but his machines keep him from going pale or frail
Alertharax: an angel of another world that has come to "cleanse the unclean". It looks like a pangolin the size of a rhino, with platinum plates, golden claws and scaled grey skin. Only attacks at night and never appears under the sun's gaze. Seems to be able to mind control young teenagers and children to a minor degree. Speaks calmly but in a shrieky, gravelly voice
The truest warrior:a man that has a life extending item called the pugilist's polyhedron that lets him lengthen his life in purpose of training. Knows most martial arts armed or unarmed. Is supernaturally physically abled due to training for more than 14000 years. Cannibalizes the random people he chooses to fight and always beats. Looks 40 years old,has scars older than your family name. Has a satchel with an unknown amount of weapons that all magically fit there
Ogallon the river scourge:a maroon colored dragon as tall as a rhino with a torso as long as a bus and 12 legs. Swims around in sewers, rivers, lakes and other places of water. Eats humans just to bring misery, hates loudness. His tail has a scorpion stinger with a poison that turns those hit into undead wraiths. He has never lost a battle and never had a scar given to him by anyone who wasn't themselves a dragon. Hoards metals of any kind

Zephyr Slip

At the end of last year, before I'd begun working on Bit Cobalt, I ran into some paleoart of Austroraptor, a dromaeosaur (raptor) from Argentina. Austroraptor is one of the largest dromaeosaurs, with a long, narrow, Big Bird snoot, conical teeth that probably point to fishing, and small forelimbs, as well as leg proportions that hint at a runner. Much of the paleoart I saw depicted Austroraptor in waterbird colors, which gave it a soft and friendly appearance, immediately my new favorite dinosaur.
So I drew an Austroraptor and then a robotic one, adding a quail topknot or ahoge feather, and started to think about making a transforming figure that would change from this animal into a humanoid robot. But a transformation from cute robot girl to cute robot girl, except one of them is a dinosaur, seemed a bit redundant, and there would be compromises in both directions that would detract rather than add.

But a couple of months later, I saw a particular motor scooter and something clicked, and the game was on. I love motor scooters, and they're a fantastic accessory for other figures on the shelf. I went through two foamcore prototypes to nail down the transformation, making it as simple and sturdy as I could manage and making sure both modes would scale well with other 1/12 scale figures.

I also started collecting some reference images for details I could nab and integrate, and to nail down the scaling of the scooter.
After I had something that worked, I drew up some concept art for both modes and started modeling. I was able to streamline the design a couple of steps further in the 3D model, and then it was all carving up shapes, fine tuning, etc. Probably the longest phase of modeling was after I had my model roughed out into shape, but needed to build the joints, firm up the edges, define all the contact surfaces, and apply subdivision surfaces. I found it useful to rig the model and set a couple of animation steps in Blender for the two modes so I could simply page back and forth between them.

I had to set the design on the back burner while I worked out the kinks with my 3D printer and built my last couple of projects. Then I made a test print to identify any trouble spots, and after a couple of tweaks to get the feel right, it was time to print and finish the real thing. Zephyr Slip is the first thing I've printed in "color", and thanks to some dyes I need to experiment with more, she won't be the last. That means a much more durable finish for parts that have to slide against one another or clip into place. I did add a gloss coat to some surfaces of the black elements, but it shouldn't show chipping much. (Unlike the kickstand, thanks to my terrible decision to paint its feet.)
Like my previous figures, Zephyr's eyes (and console) are just printed gloss paper under a coat of gloss varnish, and her headlights and taillights have some clear resin poured in over the paint and cured into place for lenses.  Cutting plastic windows like the ones on my Vertigo GT for the lower headlights didn't have the same effect, so they got the same clear resin treatment. The decal designs themselves were made in Blender, because I've given up on Inkscape's interface, but I think they came out okay.

The joints are almost exclusively 3mm ABS rods, although her hip joints are Kotobukiya Hexa Gear joints, which gave me a sturdy pin and hinge in a compact package and without visible pegs. I'm looking into options to make the pegs show less while being easy to remove for the construction and painting process. Despite some care with the tolerances, I did have to widen some peg holes and mush some pegs during assembly to get her pose well and snap together tight into either mode. But everything does clip solidly into place, resulting in a really playable figure.

As my first fully transforming figure and also my largest, Zephyr Slip is definitely the biggest figure project I've tackled so far, and I'm extremely happy with the results. Posability is probably her weakest area, but she can pounce and emote, and with her solid handfeel and satisfyingly snappy transformation, I'm happy with the design.
Paleontologically, I've followed most of the proportions of the real animal, although her torso should be a little bit longer, and her tail half again as long. She should also have visible first fingers, and I'm playing into the paleoart meme of bare snouts on dromaeosaurs that shouldn't have them. The proportion of thigh to shin is exaggerated, and the tail should have some left-right sway even if it's inflexible in the vertical axis. But it pleases me that she is both a roughly accurately scaled Austroraptor, and also a fairly realistically scaled scooter (if a bit chunky).
As always, due credit to @aprilpowered and Workbenchmaniac for support and feedback along the way, as well as Nemocyte (Tumblr | Twitter), whose feedback helped me to work out (among other things) the articulation needs of a theropod figure, something I'd never had to think about before.
