POKEMON MASTER EX SPOILER
How are people still in denial over the fact that all 4 Rocket executives are madly in love with Giovanni? I mean look.
My mind will forever rot in Gio x Admins hell, and Pokemas is serving me some good-ass food💜

yooo I love Team Rocket's executives fan squad! Do you have any more sketches with them?
Tumblr media
I do, actually! It's of Giovanni giving Petrel directions on what to do and say while impersonating him (to throw the police off). Petrel's just running his mouth as usual

pokemas rocket admin lore
For the longest time in pokemas I've been planning to decimate my gem savings on villains and/or admins and today was a day of reckoning. ALL OF THE CREW CAME HOME. (Archer and Proton were a little stubborn and had to be pity-pulled.) I played their Sync Pair stories and typed up the lore so you don't have to:
PROTON
His new side hustle is selling fake slowpoke tails, items, food and PLUSHIES. Next time you see a counterfeit plush online, blame this guy.
He aspires to be the cruelest and scariest so he can emulate Gio. Mileage may vary.
Proton didn’t steal his Golbat- he doesn’t trust stolen pokemon and raised his partner from a Zubat.
PETREL
Petrel regularly practices a Giovanni impression, but the "Wahahaha" is giving Wario.
He considers himself to be the brains behind Team Rocket. (questionable)
Petrel prefers to trick his enemies by having Weezing expel gas and Honchkrow distract with a gang (murder?) of Murkrow.
ARIANA
She doesn’t care if her Arbok and her are seen as tools to Gio as long as they give him happiness.
Ariana usually trains with Arbok during the day for maximum effectiveness, as that's when its stomach markings are seen best.
She sees their servitude to Gio as a form of love and trust that others might not understand.
ARCHER
Gio gifted him his Houndoom when he was just a Houndour. Puppy present from the big boss!
Archer has no desire to take over Team Rocket and simply desires to serve Gio to the best of his ability.
Houndoom is devoted to Archer for life as Archer is to Giovanni.
Underneath the massive unfiltered simping, there's a shared devotion to Gio here beyond just an admiration for his power or wealth. All the admins are clearly trying to sell how tough/ruthless/generically evil they are- to varying degrees of authenticity. Good food.

petrel WILL absolutely disguise himself as loved ones and will have done the research to make it near impossible to tell that it isn’t them. he will TELL you he’s going to do it so you’re stuck wondering forever if it’s the person you love or him

Promoted. [Yandere!Giovanni]
Tumblr media
Synop: You've been a Team Rocket member for a while now, and you've noticed a change in your Boss. Little do you know what he has planned for you.
Character(s): Giovanni (Pokemon) Rating: 16+ Word Count: 1k words Tags: Obsession, kidnapping, stalking, intimidation.
a/n: Hi! Hello! Good Morning/Afternoon/Evening to all! I am back in action with posting! I think I want to shift to writing mostly Yandere themed fanfics (to play more into the name/theme of the blog) so with this post my ask box is officially open again and I look forward to writing for you all again.
You’ve been a part of Team Rocket for many years now, in fact, it’ll be your 5 years in a few days. You were basically an admin, you were above your fellow henchmen but below the main four admins.
You didn’t mind, it meant less talking for you.
But recently you noticed something…off.
You started to see less and less of your fellow peers. Usually grunts that you would hang out with after shifts started to avoid you like the plague. And you began to see more of the admins.
Ariana would accompany you whenever you had missions, never leaving you alone or allowing you to capture pokemon.
Proton and Petrel were like your personal bodyguards, you couldn’t even breathe without them being near you.
And Archer…he was the worst.
You could be teaching new grunts about the new routes they would be working and the schemes that they will be working.
“Y/n. The Boss said that would be too dangerous for you..”
“Y/n. I need you to be alongside me for this mission. Boss’s orders.”
“Y/n.  Boss recommends this change in your uniform.”
You wanted to scream. It was always what the boss wanted for you!
You rarely got to see the male, he was always cooped up in his office or galavanting off in that damned gym of his. It was beyond irritating.
Giovanni was your boss, the big scary boss of Team Rocket/Rainbow Rocket. And you only saw him a maximum of three times, and the most recent time was two weeks ago.
You were being briefed on a mission, you were being sent off with Jesse, James and Meowth, a trio you loved working with so much due to their spunk and their energy. While you were walking past him, you felt eyes on you. When you looked up you locked eyes with Giovanni.
It felt wrong locking eyes with your boss, especially since so many people feared him.
However when you looked into his eyes...you saw something different.
Not only that, you felt like there were eyes on you at all times, even when you were in your most private of settings. You felt like he had someone watching your every mood so he knew everything.
And that day in his office, the way he looked at you solidified the thoughts you were thinking.
He stared at you with emotions you can't describe, one could only describe it as obsession.
So you quickly ran to go join Jesse and James.
You considered those three to be your only sense of normalcy, as they were the only ones who didn’t run to avoid you.
Ever since that day of the meeting, the rest of the team seemed to officially separate themselves from you. You would walk up to hold a conversation with some you thought were your friends and they would sneer at you and walk away.
Some who even hold fear in their eyes as they saw you approaching and even averted their gazes.
You were walking with Jesse and James through the team rocket headquarters, expressing your feelings about this whole situation.
“I don’t know Jesse..I feel weird about this..no one else gets treated like this..”
“No you’re valid in your feelings darling…The boss is usually a cold fellow.”
Jesse had a hand on your shoulder as she talked to you. You sighed and ran a hand through your hair. It was stressing you out as you continued to think about it.
Why were you the only one being singled out?
Were you going to be fired? Or worse, were you going to be excuted because you knew too much?
James could sense your stress and wrapped an arm around your shoulder to try and calm you down. It was all becoming too much and you were really thinking about quitting.
"G-guys..I think I should quit."
"I- well I would hate to see you go sweetheart, but if you're uncomfortable you should.
“For once, I agree with Jesse. It’s strange that the admins would show this much attention to-”
“Y/n.”
The three of you freeze and you slowly turn to face Archer, he had opened the door that led to the hallways to Giovanni’s office. You felt a chill go down your spine as you turned to look at Jesse and James who both gave you small waves and smiles as they left.
You went to follow Archer as he led you to the office.
You had a bad feeling come over you as Archer approached the door, he gave you a small smile before opening the door for you.
“The Boss is inside waiting for you. He said it was urgent.”
You nodded at him and walked into the room.
"Oh. And I wouldn't think about quitting, Y/n."
You froze in your spot. Turning back to face Archer.
He only gave a dark smirk "You're Special."
Archer left you in the hallway and you were left to walk to the office by yourself.
His office was dark, it was quiet besides the purring of Persian, who greeted you at the door.
“Good Afternoon, Y/n..please take a seat.”
You walked over to the seat in front of his desk, watching as he slowly turned in his chair, his legs crossed as he stared ahead at you.
Giovanni wasn’t an ugly man, he was very attractive actually. But there was something about him that was just terrifying to you. And not just because he was your boss.
there was something…darker lurking behind his eyes.
"Welcome, Y/n." His voice was the same as usual, cocky as hell. But there was an undertone in his voice, one that you couldn't recognize at all.
“I know you’re wondering why I called you here, darling.” he started, not breaking eye contact with you at all. The pet name was new, he usually only called you grunt or you girl.
Not Darling.
“The truth is, I’ve been keeping an eye on you since you first became a part of Team Rocket. A young woman like yourself…joining a dangerous organization like this is rare.”
Giovanni stood up and came around his desk. “I feel like you’re destined to be more…” He smirks and walks over to you, stopping a few feet away.
“W-what do you mean?..” You asked and Giovanni chuckled at your question.
“I want you to be mine. Simply put.”
You shot up straight in your chair, staring at Giovanni with widened eyes. “What!?”
“Don’t be surprised. You’re perfect. You’re a great worker, you don’t allow anyone to control you, you continue to do amazing things. And I need you permanently beside me.”
Giovanni walks over to you and places a hand under your chin. “You belong beside me. We could be a power couple together.”
You backed away from him, making a beeline towards the door, only to be blocked by Persian. The Pokémon knew how its master felt about you, and therefore was going to help its master keep you around.
"Don't you run, Y/n. It's not like you can go anywhere. Everyone in team rocket knows of your special promotion~"
You went to go around Persian by reaching for your own Pokémon, you weren't going down without a fight.
But it seems your boss had other plans.
You heard Giovanni sigh and the sound of a Pokeball opening.
“MewTwo. Use Psychic.”
You barely had time to get out the door before you felt your body be lifted in the air and be turned back around to face Giovanni.
He held a smirk on his face as he commanded MewTwo to bring you closer to him. You get brought back directly to him and he pats your cheek.
“I’ll let everyone know you’ve been promoted. They are to refer to you as Admin Y/n. You are to report directly to me, if someone speaks to you out of term, if someone is rude. You. Tell. Me.”
He says sternly, before placing both hands on your cheeks. You stared at him scared out of your mind seeing the sinister grin on his lips. His eyes held pure obsession, greed, like a child who just got their hands on a toy they had been wanting for years now.
And his next words scared your even more.
“Because I hope you know I will Kill for you.” ---------------------------------------------------- I hope you all enjoyed!! <3 Like I said, My Ask box is open for requests, just read my pinned for the fandoms i write for!

[A video is attached. Watch it?]
[The video begins with Illanero and Silver traveling down the slopes towards the deepest depths of the Whirl Islands.
Aside from the two's footsteps, the sounds of the various Pokemon, and the distant sound of rushing water, it's very quiet. Neither of the two are saying a word.
At least, until they arrive at the bottom of the slopes. Illanero turns to Silver, and asks, "Ready?"
"You don't need to ask," Silver says, and steps into the tunnel to Lugia's area. Illanero follows close behind.
Inside, is a certain purple-haired Rocket admin staring at the waterfall. In one hand, he clutches onto a master ball, in the other hand, he rings the Tidal Bell. "Come on, come out...I know you're there, Lugia!" he says.
And yet, the other nearby bells, wrapped around the rocks, refuse to ring. The waterfall continues to roar, with no shadow behind it.
"Why isn't it working?!" Petrel yells, stomping a foot into the ground. "I have the Tidal Bell!"
"It's because you're too weak, Petrel," Silver says, causing Petrel to jump in surprise, before turning around.
"You two again," Petrel grumbles. "But I see your Hyper Beam-happy friend isn't here to help you this time."
"We can take you on our own!" Illanero says, taking a step forward.
"Can you now?" Petrel says, a twisted smirk on his face. "Giovanni may have given up, Archer may have given up...but not I."
"We'll take you down, the same as we did the other admins," Silver says. "I challenge you to a battle!"
"To 'prove your strength?'" Petrel asks. "We both know already how weak you are, heir."
Silver trembles a bit, before yelling, "Battle us, and we'll see how true that is!"
"Very well," Petrel says, as he takes a pokeball off his belt. "You'll regret this, heir."
The video ends.]

GioGhet/TerribleDadShipping - Jealousy
Summary: "Giovanni and Ghetsis being flirty with each other, while the Rocket Executives are jealous and possessive of Giovanni." Author's Note: A commission for @janayuga (posted with permission). I originally finished this back in November, but real life commitments kept me busy from posting it.
Team Rocket was an organisation that had faced plenty of opposition, but had always found a way to persevere. Having relocated to their newest secret hideout, operations were able to continue smoothly. Numerous Rocket Grunts skittered throughout the multi-level structure, busy with one task or another. However, many of them turned their heads or their general attention, however subtly, to two figures that made their way through the hideout. One was unquestionably Giovanni, their leader, but the other was a stranger that many of the Grunts only recognised by word of mouth and worldwide news. Ghetsis of Team Plasma.
Ghetsis knew he was likely to be noticed, even in a place like this. Ever since his attempt to liberate every pokemon in Unova had failed, he had been looking over his shoulder to ensure no-one was trying to apprehend him. Even after Giovanni had invited him to travel to Johto, oceans away from his home region, Ghetsis didn’t lose that caution.
His footfalls came in three, each step followed by the tap of the cane in his hand, embellished with the symbol of Team Plasma. Ghetsis’ gaze flicked here and there, noticing the Rocket Grunts that stopped to murmur to each other about his presence. A few others ran off at the very sight of him, although he wasn’t sure whether their alarm was because of him, or because of Giovanni. It wasn’t often that their leader ventured out in the open to receive a guest, much less give said guest a personal tour.
Giovanni seemed to notice the quiet chatter as well, his gaze roaming for a second before returning forward. He didn’t change pace, one hand resting in the pocket of his slacks as he walked.
“Pay them no mind.” Giovanni rumbled. “They’ll remember their duties quickly.”
“There’s an army’s worth of them here. I can’t help but feel outnumbered.” Ghetsis returned. Giovanni’s head cocked ever so slightly.
“Then remember who you stand with.”
Ghetsis chuckled, giving Giovanni a knowing glance. Still, he remembered the Rocket Grunts who had taken off. Giovanni’s level of command was strong, and he was counting on that.
Footsteps approached quickly. At first, Ghetsis thought it might have been the Grunts returning, but as he and Giovanni came to a stop, he saw the two individuals that approached them were wearing slightly different uniforms.
“Sir! We heard reports of an intruder inside the building.” One of them spoke; he sported sea green hair underneath a cap pulled low over his brow, adding further emphasis to his already downturned expression. The two higher ranking members of Team Rocket both turned their attention towards Ghetsis, hands already on the pokeballs on their belts.
“Is this him? Just say the word!” The other added, his wide eyes narrowed. His hair had been shaved into something of a fluffy purple mohawk.
“That’s enough.” Giovanni told them, not aggressively, but still firm. “Ghetsis is not to be harmed while he is here. He is my personal guest. Am I understood?”
“Yes sir.” Both Admins confirmed.
“Good.”
The admins withdrew their hands. A moment of silence passed as they glanced towards each other. The Admin wearing the cap kept his demeanour tense, in a way Ghetsis supposed was meant to be intimidating, while the other with purple hair scratched the back of his neck.
“Uh. Welcome?” Petrel tried, obviously scrambling for the first thing that came to mind. Ghetsis raised an eyebrow before turning his head to Giovanni.
“Not one for many personal guests, are you?” Ghetsis questioned. Giovanni leant in closer to him.
“This is a special case. I thought you would appreciate my making things easier for you.” He said. Ghetsis chuckled, turning his head to Giovanni.
“Oh I do, Giovanni. But remember I’m not completely helpless. I’m very capable.” His eyes narrowed in challenge, a growl in his voice that could have seemed aggressive, but was something else entirely. Giovanni’s hand brushed Ghetsis’ mid-back, lingering there for a moment before leaving.
“I look forward to seeing as much while you’re here.” Proton’s grim look had returned, and Petrel’s eyebrows were knitted in confusion. Giovanni added quietly. “Make yourself at home.” Giovanni left, continuing his stride to resume the business he’d had before Ghetsis’ arrival. It left Ghetsis alone in the presence of the two Admins, who were still looking at him with suspicion that became palpable in the air once no longer hidden for Giovanni’s sake.
“Hello.” Ghetsis addressed the two of them, head half-turned away in a display of caution. He noticed Proton’s hand slink back towards his belt.
“Why would Giovanni allow someone like you inside of the Team Rocket headquarters?” Proton questioned. His eyes flicked over Ghetsis, returning to bore into Ghetsis’ own eyes like a steel drill. “You’d better not be here to interfere.”
“Someone like me.” Ghetsis echoed.
“An outsider.” Petrel chimed in. Unlike Proton’s steady growl, his tone was animated and accusatory. “A dangerous one.” Ghetsis opened his mouth to assure them that he meant no ill will (if only to placate them and perhaps gain their trust), but Proton spoke over him, stepping closer.
“You’re from a completely different organisation, with your own goals. And ulterior motives. You’re not a good fit for our great leader.”
“...I see.” Ghetsis said simply. He looked between the two Admins, any desire for even false allyship snuffing out like a light. “If you’ll excuse me.” He stepped around them, walking away to continue his tour of the headquarters on his own. As he left, the Admins stared after him.
“I don’t like this.” Petrel remarked, expression twisted into a scowl. Proton grumbled in agreement.
“Neither do I.” He didn’t trust Ghetsis for a second, and he didn’t feel comfortable letting the so-called ‘guest’ have free reign of the place. He especially didn’t like how Ghetsis and their leader had interacted with each other. Proton shared a look with Petrel, and he gathered from Petrel’s hunched posture that he felt the same way. They both hoped that whatever was going on, Ghetsis’ visit wouldn’t be for long.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
Ghetsis’ visit was, in fact, long. It seemed like he was always around, and getting in the way even when he didn’t intend to. When he wasn’t spotted hanging around the base, he was spending a lot of time around Giovanni, having close conversations, sharing looks only they understood the meaning of. Although the other members of Team Rocket had adjusted to their guest, his behaviour was grating on the four Admins’ collective nerves.
Information passed quickly between the small group. Petrel and Proton had recounted their interaction with Ghetsis to Ariana and Archer, with a great amount of emphasis on the suspicious behaviour of their great leader.
Archer walked down the halls towards Giovanni’s office. He had a tablet tucked against his folded elbow, holding a record of everything that had been stolen in a recent heist. His pace was quick, purposeful, but not with any sense of urgency. That was until he approached the door to the office, and could hear muffled voices on the other side. Archer hesitated, listening intently.
“Do you really think I’ll just let you take the lead like that?”
“This is my organisation. By all means, you’re welcome to try and stop me…”
Archer fumbled for his keycard, swiping it in the scanner and pushing inside the moment the lock released. Entering Giovanni’s office, Archer made it two steps before coming to a sudden stop, his eyes widening.
Before him was the familiar sight of Giovanni’s desk. Ghetsis was pressed back against the edge of it. He was boxed in by the arm of Giovanni himself, leaning against the desk and pinning Ghetsis to it in the process. Ghetsis’s hand was clutching the collar of the other man’s jacket, pulling him even closer, until their faces were barely apart.
Both of them turned their heads at the sound of the door being opened, startled by the sudden interruption. Archer’s free hand clutched the tablet tightly, barely lacking enough force to crack the screen. His eyes narrowed as Giovanni turned to face him, his expression twisting into something Archer had rarely ever been on the receiving end of. Open irritation.
“What is it?” Giovanni questioned.
“Giovanni, sir.” The acknowledgement felt strangled in his throat. Anger and jealousy roiled in his chest as his gaze unconsciously drifted to Ghetsis, who had yet to say a word. How dare he act like he didn’t have anything to explain, like he had any right to act this way? Archer had served Giovanni for years, he had kept Team Rocket alive during Giovanni’s absence, Archer knew him far better than Ghetsis could. Keeping his tone even, Archer resumed speaking. “It’s business. The latest raid. I have the ledger of everything successfully brought back. You asked to see it.” His eyes wandered to Ghetsis again. “It’s important.” A moment passed. Giovanni stepped away from Ghetsis, and straightened his jacket.
“Right.” Giovanni drawled. The displeasure hadn’t left his demeanour, though it faded slightly. Archer supposed, with fondness, that it was out of either Giovanni’s masterful self-control or his professionalism. Archer noticed Ghetsis was looking similarly annoyed, but Giovanni shifted his weight to direct his next words to the guest. “Would you excuse us for a moment? This won’t take long. We can continue our conversation afterwards.” The briefest flicker of emotion Archer had caught on Ghetsis’ face was washed over by an air of being completely unbothered, and Ghetsis answered with a smile in his tone that wasn’t quite reflected on his lips.
“Of course. Take all the time you need.” Ghetsis walked out of the office, ignoring Archer completely as he left. He could hear the beginnings of a new conversation ebb behind him as he closed the door, stepping out into a hallway that felt yawning and empty. Now outside of the office, Ghetsis continued walking, but a growl of frustration twisted his lip to expose the teeth underneath. He realised with almost immediate dread as he turned a corner, that this section of the hallway was occupied; By the other Admins. Their presence may have been excused by simple coincidence, but with how their eyes moved to him and their posture snapped straighter, Ghetsis had a feeling they’d been expecting him.
“Can I help you?” Ghetsis asked, coming to a stop. Proton turned from whatever conversation he had been having with Ariana. Obviously, he and Petrel (who was leaning back against the opposite wall) had passed along the details of theirs and Ghetsis’ earlier interaction.
“Just making sure you’re comfortable as our guest.” Ariana smiled, sounding more amused than polite.
“You’ve been spending a lot of time with the Boss.” Petrel added. He immediately winced when the other Admins shot him a look. Despite himself, Ghetsis chuckled. The sound of it was hollow, even to his own ears.
“So that’s what this is about.” He cast his gaze over each of them in turn, a slow sweep as his head tilted slightly to one side. “I know you all have your reservations about me. You’ve made it increasingly clear. But I mean no harm to your leader, and our current arrangement is for mutual benefit. Please, trust that Giovanni knows what he’s doing.” Although it was too quiet for a crowd, Ghetsis thought his words had the familiar qualities of a speech; Clear in delivery, while still keeping them away from his personal feelings.
He saw Petrel scowl, and Proton’s hands clenched into fists. Ariana shifted, one hand on her hip, the other resting on her chest. She made a low hum as she stepped forward. Ghetsis’ shoulders tensed as she spoke.
“I’m sure Giovanni must have seen some sort of value in you if he gave you an invitation to be here.” The smile that curled across her lips made bile rise in Ghetsis’ throat. “But there’s something you have to understand. Giovanni appreciates loyalty over everything else. And I’m sorry, but in comparison to us, I don’t think Giovanni knows you at all. I’d be remiss if I let you go on thinking that you mean anything more to him than a business arrangement.” Ghetsis looked at Ariana, unblinking. His fingers twitched, clenching around an emblemed cane that wasn’t currently in his possession. He had had enough of being treated like an intruder, of being disrespected by Giovanni’s underlings!
“You’d do well to keep your ‘remissions’ to yourself.” He snapped. Ariana blinked, seeming surprised by the sudden bite in his demeanour that had gone unseen until now. “I’ll continue to stay close to Giovanni, regardless of your interruptions or incessant prying.” Before any of them could speak again, he pushed past them all, continuing quickly down the hallways of the base. He didn’t care for any further comments, or the glares he could feel burning into his back as he walked away. His intentions with Giovanni were his own. He wouldn’t be dissuaded.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
Giovanni’s office was spacious. The colour scheme of the interior was an elegant red and black, almost gothic in the lattice-work across each small window in the room, allowing natural light in but ensuring privacy. A long rug extended from the entrance to Giovanni’s desk, which itself was wide and made of a similar dark wood, the surface cleared save for a landline phone and a computer. Every seat in Giovanni’s office was made of a similar high-quality leather; One behind the desk, one in the corner left-hand from the entrance (sat beside a small table housing a crystal tray of berries and a half-empty bottle of semi-opaque golden liquid), and one on the immediate right from the entrance, sitting parallel to a large screen on the wall for when members of Team Rocket requested an audience via video. The only other piece of furniture was a comfortably-padded round pet bed in the far right-hand corner, where Giovanni’s Persian currently dozed.
Giovanni’s office was coordinated; Everything had a place, and everything served a purpose. In that way, the space was reminiscent of the man himself. And knowing Giovanni could interpret someone else sitting in his desk chair as an intrusion, Ghetsis chose to occupy the armchair off to the left side instead.
One other door was in this office apart from the main entrance. It was within arm’s reach of the armchair Ghetsis sat in, but remained firmly closed. Though he couldn’t be sure if it was locked without physically trying the doorknob, the door somehow gave the air of being much more than a storage closet. Something that Giovanni didn’t let just anyone into.
Ghetsis faltered at that thought. He felt he had been given more allowances than anyone. And yet, he didn’t know how far those allowances reached.
He wasn’t accustomed to uncertainty. He had spent decades worth of time placing every perfect piece together, in order to realise his greatest desire for an ideal world. Now, his greatest desire lay scattered to the wind. He knew some things he wanted, but he had no idea how they would play out long-term. The lack of control was almost terrifying.
But then came Giovanni, a man as familiar with control and plans as Ghetsis was. He had earned Ghetsis’ respect, his admiration, and eventually his affection. Although Ghetsis felt he himself had earned the same from Giovanni, he didn’t know how deep those feelings ran. The Admins, despite their noseying, had made a point about whether Giovanni’s affection would last once Ghetsis was no longer useful. If that were the case, Ghetsis couldn’t fault the man; he would do the same if the positions were reversed. But it invoked the rare feeling of worry, roiling uncomfortably in his chest.
The front entrance clicked open, and Ghetsis was pleased to see it was Giovanni who entered.
“Finally.” Giovanni said, not with a tone of annoyance, but more with the satisfaction of crossing off an item from a to-do list. “I trust you’ve been making yourself comfortable without me.”
“As comfortable as I can be.” Ghetsis answered. Giovanni took a wide path to scratch Persian behind the scruff on his way past. The pokemon cooed approvingly before returning to its dozing. As Giovanni rounded his desk, Ghetsis fixed him with a specific look, brow creased and a smile playing on his lips. “I’ve got a feeling some of your people may not like me.” Giovanni joined Ghetsis on the couch, slotting into the space beside him. The couch was a little snug for two people, but Giovanni didn’t seem to mind the close proximity.
“Yes…there’s been some chatter since your arrival about what you’re really doing here.” Giovanni laid an arm across the back of the couch. He chuckled. “I wouldn’t get too caught up in rumours.” Ghetsis’ head tilted a fraction, in something like a nod of agreement considering his usually stiff body language. His left hand moved to rest on Giovanni’s knee, and his smile grew into something more genuine.
“Perhaps you should remind them to avoid unnecessary gossip. They’ll listen to their precious leader without question.” Ghetsis said. He reclined into Giovanni’s hold, shortening the distance between them. “You have a certain power over people.” Another chuckle rumbled in Giovanni’s throat, and he turned his head to look at Ghetsis directly.
“But not over people like you.” Giovanni answered. Ghetsis’ mirth dimmed at that. Giovanni’s answer reminded him of Executive Proton’s earlier derision; ‘Someone like him’. He didn’t think it was intentional, as Giovanni wasn’t a man who liked to sneak barbs into his amicable words, but it still stung Ghetsis in an unpleasant way.
While Ghetsis mulled over the unfortunate choice of words, he realised Giovanni was watching him. He focused his attention back on the man beside him. Giovanni’s gaze was easy, taking in what lay before him, and a soft smile was drawn across his lips.
“What is it?” Ghetsis prompted. Giovanni blinked slowly, as if roused from his own thoughts.
“Nothing.” Giovanni’s chest rose and fell in a deep exhale through the nose. “I’m merely enjoying your presence.” The remark was as honest as a man like Giovanni could be. It wasn’t the answer Ghetsis had been expecting, and he went quiet.
“Pah. You’re only just doing so now? What have I been until now, a parasite?” His tone was low, more-so in volume than in pitch, a grumble that barely directed itself towards Giovanni. He glanced towards Giovanni’s free hand, which had settled over his own, brushing a thumb carefully over the skin.
“When you build yourself an empire, it’s important to take the time to admire the beauty you’ve surrounded yourself with.” Giovanni answered, and there was that smile again, unimpeded and unashamed of itself. Any further words stuck in Ghetsis’ throat. He stared at Giovanni for a long moment, and then he rolled his eyes and turned his head away from the other man.
“You bastard…” Ghetsis tried to ignore any possible fluster from Giovanni’s words, as well as the arm formerly resting on top of the couch, moving to loop around his back as Giovanni laughed, amused and satisfied with himself. Sometimes it was a wonder Ghetsis put up with his behaviour. Then again, Giovanni was a wonder of a man.
A knock came at the door, followed by the beep of an accepted security keycard. Both of the room’s occupants turned their heads, the intimate moment interrupted. Executive Archer entered the room, tucking his keycard into a pocket of his uniform. Ghetsis frowned, any good spirits he’d formerly experienced strangled by the presence of Archer in his company. He noticed Giovanni didn’t remove his arm from around Ghetsis, and didn’t seem bothered by his underling seeing it there.
“It’s urgent business sir. It needs your attention at once.” Archer stood before Giovanni’s desk, as he usually did. Pausing, he made an awkward turn to face the couch, tucking his arms behind his back.
“Again?” He heard Ghetsis mutter, barely not quiet enough to avoid being heard in the quiet space. Archer shot him a look.
“Yes.” Archer affirmed, flashing a smile with too much teeth.
“Are you sure this requires my personal attention?” Giovanni asked. He was watching Archer intently, barely blinking. Archer suppressed the urge to swallow, instead clenching his hands hidden behind his back. He knew Giovanni was observant, and skilled at both deception and recognising deception from others. Having used this excuse once before, Archer couldn’t afford to show any sign of a ruse. He was of course confident in his own abilities to do so, given his status within Team Rocket’s ranks.
“Absolutely.” Archer answered the question, wondering how long a pause had followed between it and his response. “The selected group is ready to leave to infiltrate Kalos. Your reach has done so much to ensure success, I thought you’d like to approve the final preparations.” Giovanni didn’t say anything at first. Archer didn’t risk thinking that he had slipped up somewhere in his explanation. But then, Giovanni nodded.
“Very well.” He agreed. Archer smiled, and directed the pleased look towards Ghetsis with a turn-up of his nose. Ghetsis remained statuesque, with an expression Archer found irritatingly impossible to read.
“If you’ll step outside. Team Rocket’s matters are private, remember?”
“I think I’d like to stay.” Ghetsis stated. The simple statement caused Archer to resist grinding his teeth. “Your leader has agreed to work with me, I would be remiss if I weren’t present to provide help where I can. Unless you have any objections, of course…” He directed his final question towards Giovanni.
“None whatsoever.” He answered. Ghetsis looked to Archer, and he smiled, appearing completely innocent and unassuming. Archer’s already clenched fists tightened further, nails digging into the skin of his palms.
“Yes sir.” Archer agreed.
Archer gave his report. He and Giovanni discussed the details of the Kalos infiltration, reviewing what was already in place and any last-minute variables that could affect the plan. All the while, Archer would cast subtle but pointed glances in Ghetsis’ direction; although for the most part, all Ghetsis did was sit quietly, only chiming in when asked or if he had something to contribute. By the time Archer left, the man was practically fuming, his self control keeping it contained to an occasional tremor throughout his body.
Once the door had snapped shut behind the Admin, Giovanni rose from the couch. He heard Ghetsis muffle a laugh behind him, but when he turned back and arched an eyebrow, Ghetsis let it free into the office space.
“He did an incredible job of controlling himself.” Ghetsis noted. He leant back against the plushness of the couch, allowed a little more vacancy because of Giovanni’s departure.
“He’s devoted, above all else.” Giovanni agreed. Despite himself, a smile played on the corners of his lips. He silently commended Archer on not losing his temper, even if he had been able to see through the Admin’s attempt at calm.
Giovanni turned, looking back to Ghetsis. Although amusement lingered, there was a shift in Ghetsis’ demeanour, a grim intensity in his gaze unintentionally directed towards the couch’s arm. “What is it?”
“Mm, nothing.” Ghetsis waved away the issue with his hand. Giovanni raised an eyebrow at the dismissal, and took a single, deliberate step back towards the other man.
“Tell me.” He instructed. He didn’t know what the issue was, but if it affected Ghetsis, it affected him as well. Although the other man was prone to brooding, Giovanni didn’t enjoy seeing him disturbed.
Ghetsis met Giovanni’s gaze, looking at him for a long, silent moment. Giovanni could see the doubt in his eyes, the mulling over whether to answer truthfully, and the stubbornness to fix his own problems that Giovanni greatly admired. Finally, Ghetsis made a displeased sound and sat up.
“This isn’t the first time your lackeys have tried to meddle, I’m afraid. I’ve been hounded more than once about my intentions, and they’ve tried to claim that ‘someone like me’ isn’t a good fit for you.” He attempted to chuckle, but it sounded thin and unconvincing. “If I didn’t know any better, I’d think they were jealous.”
“I see…” It was all Giovanni said at first, his thoughts preoccupied with processing Ghetsis’ explanation. Any amusement he had previously found in the situation had been snuffed out, replaced with a deep, low-burning anger. He rarely lost his temper, and he wasn’t going to now, but this new information was…frustrating.
Ghetsis’ gaze didn’t leave Giovanni’s, unblinking. Somehow it was more of a condemnation than if Ghetsis had shied away instead.
“Don’t misunderstand. I wasn’t aware how far they’d gone to try and protect what they see as theirs. If it continues further, I’ll deal with them personally.” Giovanni rested the fingertips of one hand on the edge of the desk. His voice got a little quieter. “You could have told me about this.”
“I just did.” Ghetsis snipped back. “I wasn’t certain how much of what they said was true.” Giovanni sighed, and glanced back over his shoulder towards Persian. The cat opened one eye, meowed, and closed it again.
“They’ve overstepped their bounds.” Giovanni answered. He crossed the distance between the two of them and extended a hand to Ghetsis. “They don’t have any say in my private matters. Come on.” Ghetsis eyed him, frowning at the hand offered, but he slowly took Giovanni’s hand and allowed himself to be led. Giovanni guided the other man to his feet and towards the side door. Opening it easily, he stepped inside and pulled Ghetsis after him.
Giovanni had seen this room a hundred times, but in his peripheral vision, he saw Ghetsis’s eyes sweep over the interior quickly, taking in his surroundings as fast and as fully as possible. The architecture was much the same as his office; black and red colour scheme, lattice-worked windows and comfortable leather furniture. The notable difference was a bed against the far wall, simple but spacious, without a single crease in the bedding.
He glanced towards Ghetsis, waiting for the surprise to wear off. He cleared his throat, drawing attention back towards himself.
“Much better for privacy.” Giovanni took a step closer, breaching Ghetsis’ personal space. “If you have any doubts about your ‘worthiness’, Ghetsis, let me end them for you. I chose you. It’s never been a competition.” Ghetsis didn’t meet the other man’s gaze, scowling as if to himself.
“I know that.”
“You’d better.” Giovanni smirked. Ghetsis looked away for another moment, and then he laughed, a quick huff of self-mocking amusement.
“You might have less control of your people than you thought.”
“And there’ll be consequences later. Stop worrying about them and start worrying about the predicament you’ve gotten yourself into.” Giovanni took yet another step forward, his chest brushing against Ghetsis’ own as he took hold of Ghetsis’ face. Ghetsis looked puzzled.
“What predicament is that?” He asked, his left hand coming up to rest around Giovanni’s arm.
“Capturing the adoration of the leader of Team Rocket.” Giovanni purred. Ghetsis stared at Giovanni, taken off-guard by the remark. Giovanni expected him to become flustered, and perhaps defiant, as he had earlier in the office. But while colour did faintly spread on Ghetsis’ face, instead of cutting back with some retort, his gaze warmed.
“I don’t think I’ll stop that.” There was a softness in Ghetsis’ voice, one which Giovanni had rarely been able to witness. Not the simmering intensity that it usually had, but much lighter and almost…sweet. It nearly caused a flutter in Giovanni’s blackened heart.
Giovanni reached forward, his other hand tracing Ghetsis’ right shoulder. He passed along Ghetsis’ arm, and although the other man hesitated, he allowed the cape he was wearing to open wider and Giovanni to bring his right hand free from it. The hand was darkened with scar tissue past the elbow, the remnants of a long-ago injury that left the limb safer hidden within the cloth. Giovanni cupped the damaged hand with his own, the hold unbearably gentle.
“Good. Because there’s nothing about you that would change my mind.”
He could see Ghetsis try to keep his composure, but that didn’t stop a smile from spreading across Ghetsis’ face, acceptant and more relaxed than he’d been since his arrival to Team Rocket’s headquarters.
“And you either.” He replied.

Queen give us more of your Rocket admins agenda I love to see it
oh boy, I do have a lot to say regarding these four, so here are a few hcs
Tumblr media
Petrel and Proton started off as an agent duo similar to Jesse and James before being promoted to admins
Every day Petrel wakes up and chooses to be as annoying to other executives as possible
Do not mess with Proton, he is not above bypassing a pokemon battle to throw fists directly
Tumblr media
Archer is unreasonably jealous of Giovanni’s Persian. Hates that thing (the feeling is mutual)

Heyo. Not sure if I should ask this here or if there's a better blog to ask but, do you have any tips for beginner Rotomblr blogs? I have two I'm just starting out and I have no experience with this kind of thing. Thank you.
Yeah you can absolutely ask us! We've answered questions similar to this before and offer a link to flowerliker's starting guide along with a starting resources tag to keep track of it all! We'd recommend starting with the guide and then our tag, then asking specific questions from there, but we can give some general tips for now rather than sending you off with a bunch of reading. That said, we are putting this below a read more for the sake of being easy to scroll past!
Getting started is often times the hardest part because its when you are building momentum. It can often be a discouraging time, but its useful to learn what you want to do with your blog and find people you may want to collaborate with more often. Reblog ask games and importantly interact with others! No man is an island in this community, if you want interactions chances are other people do too and will appreciate it. Mind their rules and their canon though, and be mindful of yours too.
If you're comfortable joining Discords that's a great option to meet people and talk with them both ic and ooc, though it should be said this isn't a necessary step and you should not feel pressured to join any groups.
You are allowed to be selective if you choose to be. This applies as much to others as it does yourself. Being selective about who you interact with on blog isn't necessarily a personal judgement, there might be people you enjoy talking to ooc a lot that have canon aspects that conflict with yours. You don't have to stop talking to them and neither of you have to change your worldbuilding if you do not want to.
Rewrites big and small will happen and they aren't the end of the world, adjust as you need and communicate with your rp partners if its things that effect them. Characters and your writing will evolve naturally over time and that's a beautiful thing!
Know community tags and generally how to use them. If you're someone who benefits from a tagging system, try to start it early on so you don't have to retag a bunch of posts later. The use of the unreality tag is also a good one to familiarize yourself with, especially if you dabble in the multiverses aspect of Pokemon's canon. You're welcome to ask for details regarding this and we can answer any questions you may have.
In regards as to what we can do to help as well is we of course are known for postings of events the community can participate in but we actually do all kinds of other stuff! We can post calls for general roles for upcoming arcs or events (i.e. bystanders, food concessions, rocket grunts, etc.) or specific calls for canon characters (i.e. Professor Kukui, Rocket Admin Petrel, etc.). We have a tag for Discord groups that people are able to promote, though mind their rules and the fact that these Discords in most cases are not ours and we do not have control over if the links are dead or the group is deleted. We boost community made and outside ask games, particularly if they are submitted to us. All kinds of stuff! We are a community resource that strives to add whatever functions we can to help others!
We could add more but we don't want to get too lost in the weeds of details here, if you require any follow-ups please let us know!

// I ramble about Red and his relationships with others.
This is somewhat spoilery to the plot of this AU, so if you care about that, don't look under the cut. Another thing is that while this is based on the AU, there is a lot of stuff that is just generally applicable to my interpretation of these characters, especially when it comes to Blue.
This is kind of really long, by the by.
Giovanni was the one who wanted Red in the team. He is fascinated by this boy, so strong but so young. Red is an investment and an experiment of sorts. Red is Giovanni's final weapon.
Silver and Red have a sort of adoptive-sibling relationship. It's strained simply due to their circumstances, but they're closer to each other than anyone else in the team. Silver is about 3-4 years younger than Red. When Red first joined, he wasn't assigned to many missions (Both because he was only eleven, and because he had recently gone missing). Instead, he was given the task of being Silver's friend, basically.
Archer is Red's direct boss. Red is an admin in Archer's personal division, with his own team of grunts. Archer is envious of Red for garnering Giovanni's attention as much as he has.
Both Archer and Silver struggle with the way that Giovanni is obviously far more interested in Red than in them. Archer is incredibly jealous, because at one point he was in Red's position, and now he has been replaced. Silver mostly struggles with the way that his Father is more interested in this random boy that showed up than his own son, but he handles it far better than Archer, simply because Red has stepped into Silver's life as well. Red tries his best to play the "older-brother" role for Silver.
Ariana is Giovanni's wife and Silver's mother. She's affectionate of Red, viewing him more like a son than anything else. She tries to make life in Rocket easier for him when she can, but this isn't always possible, considering she is usually busy running her own division. That being said, she is aware of both of their ranks, and keeps that in mind.
Proton and Petrel don't have as much of a relationship with Red as the others. They're both a bit freaked out by him and his presence in Rocket, but for different reasons.
Now, for the Crown Jewel...
Blue. Childhood friend-turned-rival-turned-stranger.
They were friends when they were younger. However, as they got older, the key thing that began to ruin their relationship was how Blue's grandfather, Prof. Oak began to ignore Blue in favor of Red. Red showed promise when it came to Pokemon, and while Blue did as well, Prof. Oak was just in general far more interested in Red than his grandson. Blue, of course, was a young child. He didn't respond well to this, but he didn't know how to voice exactly what he was upset about. And so, as young boys do, he took it out on Red. Red, meanwhile, didn't understand the situation at all. He still thought of Blue as his friend. He didn't get why Blue was upset at him, and he didn't get why Prof. Oak was so interested in him, either. It just didn't make sense to him.
So, they started to drift apart. Though, since Pallette is about as close to the definition of "Small town" as it gets, they really didn't. They didn't have the chance too. So, everything just kept boiling over. And then, when they went on their Journey, Blue made it his mission to prove to Prof. Oak that he was just as good as Red. That he was better than Red. And what did Oak do?
He saw it as cockiness and narcissism. And he wasn't entirely wrong, Blue was definitely acting far more self-assured than he had any right to be, but instead of Oak trying to find out why his Grandson was acting like this and solve the problem at the root, he just punished the boy. And all that did was make the problem worse, because Oak would go from "You're being a jerk and you should be ashamed of yourself, Blue," to "Wow, Red, you're doing so well! I'm so proud of you!"
The worst was when Oak told Blue to be more like Red.
Not only was Oak showing obvious preference to someone other than his own Grandson, but he was doing it for no apparent reason. Because, to Blue (and a lot of the other people in Pallette, though they likely wouldn't admit it), Red was broken. He had odd mannerisms, he hardly ever spoke (When he did it would come out in broken fragments of sentences, like a toddler), he would freak out about tiny things that didn't bother anyone else. He was unusual, and different, and he didn't act like he was supposed too.
A lot of the issues Red ran into as a child were founded in the simple fact that he lived in a small, older town. The biggest thing was that they simply did not know what autism was. They didn't know why Red was different, just that he was. Oak had a better understanding of it simply due to working in a scientific field, but even he didn't really get why Red was like that. He just was more willing to succeed to Red's needs than others.
Moving on from that point, Red was simply a better trainer than Blue. And this pissed him off. Sure, he was always one step ahead, he beat the gyms faster, he got through things before Red did, but it didn't matter. Red would eventually catch up, and when he did, he always beat Blue. Even though he had the type advantage. Even though Blue did everything he could to be the strongest.
And then, Red disappears. Nobody knows where he's gone. Blue is free.
Blue completes the gym challenge, taking on the E4 and becoming champion. But it doesn't mean as much, now, does it? The thing that was pushing him to get better and better is gone. This was just a way for him to prove himself. And he does! He wins! But nobody cares. Sure, he's the youngest recorded champion, but everyone is preoccupied with the fact that Red's gone missing. His Grandpa doesn't care. The person he was trying to impress this entire time hardly notices what he's accomplished, because someone he isn't even related to is gone.
Blue is upset, because someone he used to be friends with is gone now. He's upset because nobody can find him. He's upset because somebody like him is missing. But mostly he's mad. He's mad at Red for going missing. He's mad at Red for always stealing everyone's attention.
Of course, the media are more interested in Blue than Red. The youngest recorded champion. It's something incredible! And kids go missing all the time. He'll probably be found soon enough. So, Blue drifts apart from his family even more. He's still just a kid, so he can't escape them, and all of the attention is overwhelming, but at least they're giving him any attention. So Blue leans into that.
But he's still mad at Red.
And this doesn't get better with time. It's been around five years since Red's gone missing. And Blue is still pissed. But, he's also older now. He understands things better. He's sad that Red is gone, of course, but most of all he's still just mad. Mad that, above anything else, Red left him. Red left and didn't say a word. They were friends. Sure, Blue bullied him almost constantly, and he feels guilty for that, but how could he just leave? And that guilt is there too, weighing on him. What if it was his fault?
And Red doesn't know this. Red hasn't spoken with anyone he knew before Rocket since he joined. He misses everyone, of course, but it's for the best. He can't reveal himself.
And when they inevitably run into each other again? All hell is going to break loose.

Saturn and petrel 🔫
PLEASE NO I HAVE A CAT
anyways this one was SO SO SO SO HARD VRIPEUHQGHRUEQIGH
Tumblr media
this is another one i have to explain because THEY ARE SUCH FUCKING NERDS OK and there's a VERY IMPORTANT BACKSTORY
the PREMISE is that sometime POST-DPPt, Giovanni and Cyrus have gotten into a relationship, which means Rocket and Galactic are now ALLIED. For Gio and Cyrus, this is a Beneficial Thing.
For their admins, not so much.
Something you gotta understand is that in this universe @tieflingfangs and i built together, there are NO PROTAGONISTS. None. Zilch. They DO NOT EXIST. So who stops the evil teams? Well, it's basically a chain of them all catching wind of each other at some point and going to put a stop to that bullshit before it can interfere with their own plans. In the case of Rocket and Galactic, the former did not know the latter existed. Galactic was, as far as they knew, just the premiere energy company of Sinnoh. And seeing a power vacuum (and an opportunity to search for Cyrus, in Giovanni's case) Rocket moves in and establishes an outpost to begin operations up there.
Well.
Cyrus isn't happy Giovanni is there. He does not want Giovanni to know where he is, and he wants Rocket out. So he does what team Galactic do. He bombs the Rocket outpost. But he makes Saturn handle everything. So until the DPPt plot finishes unfolding, as far as the admins know, Saturn is the leader of Galactic.
The thing you have to know about my Petrel is that he is a zealot. In his head, Rocket comes first before pretty much anything else, and the boy can hold a grudge. So when Gio and Cyrus have kissed and made up, and Giovanni hires Galactic as contractors to come and improve the Rocket HQ, Petrel is 1000% prepared to hide Saturn's body in a trunk and help people look for him. The best part is Saturn is placed in Petrel's dorm to bunk while all this happening.
The problem is Saturn is a BULLY!!! And as the lead admin of Galactic, any time Petrel starts misbehaving he goes straight to Cyrus, who goes to Giovanni, who makes Petrel BEHAVE, and the worst part is SATURN LIKES TO GLOAT!!! HE RUBS IT IN!!!! THE CHEEKY LITTLE BASTARD!!!
So basically the ship starts with Petrel being as menacing as he can and Saturn quickly learning how to put him in his place and sit on him. Saturn is the bratty power bottom. Petrel is the service top. They are a whirlwind of chaos and mayhem and if they could learn to work together they could use the powers for evil, but alas, they are too busy bullying each other until petrel snaps and they have a sloppy makeout session
anyways the designated driver depends on the region, bc they both have their own cars but not a license for each other's region. petrel drives like a demon and saturn follows the Laws of the Road, and they both hate it.
anyways saturn is a bully and petrels never done anything wrong in his life

// Autism took over for a minute so here's a thing about the internal ranking of Rocket
Hi. Sooo, while it won't match up 100%, for both my own creative freedom and also because I definitely do not understand it all the way, I based this mostly off of the ranking within the Yakuza. Since. Y'know. Yeahhh. This post is mostly a simple-ish thing for me to explain what exactly it is that the Executives DO and also sort of how the other ranks function. And also a bit of rambling about Archer and Ariana. oops
Everything I got about the ACTUAL Yakuza ranking is from this article, since it was the easiest one for me to understand. Don't know if it's totally accurate, but. Oh well. rgfohjuki
Japanese Yakuza Ranks: Names Of Yakuza Member Ranks In Order (history18.com)
Tumblr media
Going into more detail under the cut!
The boss, or the Oyabun, is obviously Giovanni. Don't feel the need to explain that one a whole lot. Giovanni runs the whole operation. He makes the decisions. He's at the top. He's the one making money.
Archer and Ariana both fit the Saiko-Komon and Wakagashira roles, but for the most part I think it would sit like this, with Ariana as Saiko-Komon, and Archer as Wakagashira.
Archer deals with many of the business aspects, especially after Giovanni left. Before that, however, he fit the role of Wakagashira more. He was, forgive the pun, Giovanni's dog. He went everywhere that Giovanni did. His main purpose is to organize the different operations of Rocket, especially higher-risk ones. He also manages the business and financial side of Rocket, though he shares those responsibilities with Ariana.
Ariana functions as a public face of sorts. While Archer deals with most of the technical aspects of the different businesses that run under Rocket, Ariana is the one who forms the relationships. The different science branches of Rocket are under her jurisdiction as well.
Petrel and Proton both fit the Shateigashira. They're the ones in charge of the different admins and grunts. While Archer organizes the missions, they're in charge of actually getting it done.
Proton is in charge of Security, and much of the bloodier side of the fieldwork. If there's a dispatch mission, he'll be the one running it. Proton's personal team is the Inquisition. Their purpose within Rocket is, very basically, to punish and/or acquire information. They are feared internally for being ruthless, and having very little internal repercussions for their actions. The worst of Rocket usually end up as Inquisitors, or other people under Proton's management.
Petrel runs Rocket's medical services, and the stealth side of fieldwork. He gets the missions that require infiltration. If a Rocket manages to get inside the police system, Petrel put them there. When he's at headquarters, he's usually either organizing teams or running the infirmary. Typically, the only time he ever actually performs medical services is if it's a high-ranking member.
The admins of Rocket form the Kyodai and Shatei. High-Ranking admins organize teams of low-ranking admins, who are in charge of their own teams of grunts. Each reports to the next, who then report to either Proton or Petrel. These are the people who make up the majority of Rocket.
In terms of the Executives, there isn't an official difference in rank between the white uniforms and the black. That only signifies where they work. Archer and Ariana work in business and organization. Petrel and Proton work in the field. That being said, there's an informal hierarchy amongst the Executives. Street smarts Vs. Book smarts. It doesn't help that Archer and Ariana are/were the ones with direct relationships to Giovanni. Petrel and Proton report to Archer, as he's the one making decisions over which missions are important or not.
For a while after Giovanni disappears, there is very much a power struggle between Archer and Ariana. They both fight to hold Giovanni's position. This is a continuation of the more personal struggle they had between each other, though that was more one-sided. Archer was very jealous of Ariana's relationship with Giovanni. The two were married, and while Giovanni wasn't necessarily the most loyal husband (Cough cough he cheats on Ari with Archer. She is well aware of this) the precedent remained, and he doesn't like it. Ariana does not have any particular problem with Archer, though she doesn't like how Giovanni takes advantage of him. There are several times that she tries to subtly warn him away from Giovanni. Archer willfully ignores this, and instead decides that her going up to him and saying "Giovanni is using you" is her trying to be sneaky and get him off her man, since CLEARLY she's jealous that her husband prefers his company to hers.
Eventually he figures out that, no, Giovanni did NOT in fact care about him more, and the tension between Archer and Ariana settles.
