if i ever were to write anything for my robot hdb au the chapter in which harry finally gets a dick would be called "have you tried turning it on and off again?" and it would be a constant trial and error, it would end on the successful attempt but on a cliffhanger also

Currently thinking about my robot hdb au in the sense that he probably started as a comon non remarkable looking robot that once he gained sentience he started trying to get a more human looking body and I'd think that due to in world technology it'd still be like. Big, body wise. Like how tvs and screens in general used to be basically boxes? Bc this man will continue to be fat even in robot form he needs a million of fans inside to not shut down from overheating constantly also

dunno if this was already planned for the robot thing, as i didnt see part 1. but. please consider: harry being irreversibly connected to the pale in some way and Thats why he's unstable.
then maybe the skills arent something that were intentionally programmed in, but something more like the snippets of radio-chatter we get when hit with the pale latitude compressor in game. i dunno, it could be fun
it could totally be pale related!!!! part was actually a joke with only the tags being relevant enough to make part 2
regarding the skills ive been thinking that at most he had at most a few phys/motorics, and werent necessarily "skills" to begin with, just some functions. like perception, hand/eye cordination, endurance? something like that at most. so there could be some pale thing could make them into proper skills and make it so others appear
or there could be none at all and a pale thing did. i like to think he can have some sillier functions like radio or printings or anything, so maybe dora could have been researching the pale through him, either like you said as radio chatter, or making him go into the pale and she got too close to something and harry became himself..... maybe he could have been made to inspect the pale and the stuff started affecting him in that way and yeah he got more prone to it.........
