"I like rain to be honest," Honey said, "Listening to the pitter patter of the droplets against a roof, or the roar of thunder outside when you're curled up in your nice warm bed? Mm! One of the best vibes ever."

"Thunderstorms are scary!" Cream winced, "I like snow a lot though!"

"Well, I'm in the sunshine camp!" Tangle said proudly, "It's always the best."

"I like snow," Whisper said simply.

"I like rain as long as I'm not out in it," Lanolin huffed.

"I'm in the same boat as Trip," Jewel put in, "Any weather other than sunny is not too great for me or my wings."

"Honey Bun had it right by saying a good thunderstorm while inside is the greatest," Rouge smirked, "Especially if it cuts the power to a place one might be infiltrating."

"Well, water and snow aren't too great for my woodwork or my circuitry, so I vote sunny days," Belle frowned.

"Same," Florentine added, "Scrapnik island was almost always sunny unless Sigma was screwing with the climate disruptor."

"It's hard to say," Tikal pondered, "I think I like all three types equally. They all have their advantages and disadvantages, and all have their own fun to be had when they come!"

I thought random power rangers ship in my head because I was bored 😭. Anyways it's Vargoyle x Robo Knight. Toxic robot yaoi (I forgot how you spell it 💀) 🤔? You can add some headcanons if you want to! Feel free to give your opinion on this!

HMMMMMMMMMM Toxic Robot Yaoi is true.

Let’s see—

Vargoyle found robo-knight’s debris in a search underwater, and his heart ached for a destroyed robot.

He’s an evil genius, but he’s still a genius, so he decides, no robot life is worth wasting, he MUST re-build this robot. Resurrect it, sorta.

He does indeed manage to resurrect robo knight, but much to his disappointment, the original programming of the robot seems… ugh. GOOD.

He’s a good guy, Vargoyle realises, firstly. And he has a soft spot for humans, which developed over a long period of time.

Vargoyle decides to go through Robo Knight’s memories in order to understand exactly what happened. Imagine his shock when he realises Robo knight was actually an ALLY of the Rangers.

Doesn’t matter, Vargoyle thinks. Maybe he can change his programming or something.

When Robo knight comes to, he doesn’t exactly realise Vargoyle is evil. He’s grateful for being brought back to life. But as Vargoyle’s intentions towards the rangers are revealed they find each other at crossroads.

But Robo Knight has a sense of gratitude, so while he doesn’t exactly agree with Vargoyle, he decides to not meddle too much.

Cue a domestic relationship sprouting between them where Vargoyle goes to fight the rangers and robo knight stays home cooking robot food or some shit.

Yes, yes, blaze, Roxy, scrozzle, all know the little arrangement robo knight and Vargoyle have.

They’re insanely domestically cute. They don’t admit it, get all grumbly about it, especially when Blaze and Roxy tease Vargoyle about it— but FEEEEEELINGS develop lol

“GUNCLES” <- Blaze.

Roxy steals Scrozzle’s “best chef” Apron and gifts it to robo knight.

Robo Knight tells them stories about the rangers, about Tensou, about Gosei— EVERYONE hates Gosei and Robo Knight finds himself facepalming mostly because Gosei was technically his mentor, but they all make him see what a terrible mentor Gosei really WAS.

Either way. Robo Knight gets along well with everyone, tbh. Roxy makes a lot of “your coldness is gonna cure global warming” jokes @ robo knight—

BUT the way he and Vargoyle constantly get into heated squabbles,,, absolute bickering married couple reluctant partners marriage of convenience vibe.

idk how to describe it but there’s something so narratively juicy about hayato not being allowed to die a glorious hero’s death and instead being forced to become a scrumbly old man. i take issue with arc anime bc imo he’s simply not allowed to sacrifice himself. he should get forcibly retired and made to play grampa to shou/takuma/kamui/whoever’s kids

So... I've been collecting references from G1 recently while rewatching a lot of it. And well...

There are days I greatly worry about this show and how in the blue blazes it has the rating it does. It has so casually panned across the most violent robo-gore. Good, GOSH! These poor beans, and they don't seem to care. :')

(insane getterposting) one of these days im gonna do an actual cited and annotated post abt how takuma’s own overzealousness for violence and revenge is part of what causes kamui to heel-turn and isn’t supposed to be viewed as wholly heroic…… he avenges his mom and he’s just like wtf? what’s it? obvs idk WHERE arc was supposed to go but im convinced it was supposed to be more morally complex that Blowing Up The Bad Guys Is Epic! mostly this all just boils down to my main issue w the arc anime is that it was afraid to portray ryoma (and by extension takuma) in anything other than a positive light so the ending is flat

I decided to write more on my band au because I've gotten to work more on it!

Amy, Gadget and Barry's band is named Piko Piko Shoot and they focus on Pop Rock/Punk.

Amy is the lead singer, she grew up in a rich family and a prodigy in academics, music and skating. She ran away from her home to pursue a musical career with her two (loser) friends. She also dwells in grafitti art, all of which are designed by Barry.

Gadget is the one who actually started the band, he provides the guitars and back-up vocals. He works in a local cafe to pay up for rent and band expenses. He's a pro skater and has a huge crush on Infinite.

Barry is a simple artist and bassist who attended the same school as Gadget. He accepted to form the band in hopes of becoming someone and proving everyone who doubted him, wrong.

Chaos Blast is a band started by Shadow and his childhood best friend and sister, Rouge. They focus on deep and meaningful lyrics, mostly inspired by Shadow's older sister, Maria.

Shadow is the lead singer and to fans, a mystery. He prefers to keep any information on himself private, completely avoiding interviews and avoiding any social media. Truth is, Shadow started the band to, not only raise money for Maria's hospital bills, but also offer the young girl some entertainment.

Rouge is the bassist and stylist of the band, sometimes offering some back-up vocals for their songs. She's very gossipy and the main source of information for fans.

Silver is a shy and friendly bassist, he sometimes helps with songwriting and manages the band's social media account. He was born in Soleanna and has a love for gardening. He was close friends with Blaze before losing contact with her.

Knuckles is the band's drummer, known for channeling his short temper and rage into his work. He's quiet and very passionate about cooking in his free time.

Phantom Ruby was formed by childhood best friends Sonic and Infinite out of pure boredom, their lyrics being edgy for the sake of it.

Infinite is the singer and main songwriter. He's very open about himself, even coming across as egocentric. In his own head, Chaos Blast is trying to copy Phantom Ruby and steal their spotlight.

Sonic had a simple life growing up in Sunset City with his younger brother, Miles. He accepted forming a band with Infinite to pursue his dream career as a guittarist. He's very loud and energetic and has an easy time hyping up the croud. He's openly gay and has a crush on Shadow.

Blaze grew up in Soleanna and moved to the big city to purse a drumming career. She provides help with the lyrics and helps keep the other two in line whenever their manager, Espio has a hard time.

Other characters include

Miles, Sonic's adoptive younger brother, a prodigy and mechanical genius, dropped his studies to become the band's technician.

Espio, a mysteryous and serious person, Phantom Ruby's manager.

Honey, Phantom Ruby's stylist and social media manager. A big gossip always in touch with their community.

Wave, Chaos Blast's official stylist and manager. She grew up a graffitti artist and extreme gear pro. She's dating Rouge behind the scenes.

Maria, Shadow's older and sick sister. Her dream was to be able to watch a band live but due to her condition she was unable to.

Vector, Owner and DJ of the radio station JSR 095. He's very known in Rokkaku Street (Where Gadget and Barry grew up.)

Jet, Wave's younger brother and extreme gear pro. His gang controls Rokkaku Street with their grafitti art.

Ivo, the owner of IvoTech Empire, a company who creates multi-use and purpose robots and implementing them in society. He's also the creator of the extreme gear and his own brand of robo-singers.

There's a secret Nether Hub for specific others. Ex set it up with a respawn point and a separate chat for what is basically his friend group.

True Symmetry ("reflection" of False. Mom friend. Skills: She can wreck your day in a fight)

BadTimeWithScar (undead cousin to Scar. Little grumpy. Skills: He invents potions)

NPG (Cyborg Little Guy that Grian Made. Skills: Cooking. He's one of the only members who can)

Robo!Grian (Creation of Grian. Skills: he made the houses everyone stays in and the plaza)

Zedeath (A grim reaper that hands around for tea. Skills: He gets things from off server for the group)

Grimdog (A Grim reaper that plays guitar. Skills: He trapped some Hoglins so they can have endless pork. Other than that, he mostly just lazes about and keeps a protective watch over NPG and Robo, who aren't very strong)

Dr. Tagno (A blaze hybrid that has an inferiority complex that he hides with a superiority complex. Skills: He is the only one that has even the slightest clue how Redstone works)

AriesEva (A ram girl who knows GeminiTay. Skills: She takes care of plants and plant decor around the Nether group)

Helsknight (A grumpy half demon, half elf that is annoyed with his older brother Wels. Skills: He can fight. Slight anger issues)

The things you folks do to me...

A funny bit here. I blazed my debut novella robot book which is crowdfunding right now a few days ago for the launch to see if I can reach interested people (man it's hard :') ) who would want to maybe grab an ebook or paperback. A few people reblogged and such, made notes, nothing out of the ordinary. Until I saw these hashtags left by @whattadroid:

Mind you, there is no ass on the cover (not on purpose anyway). The idea that there is one (I really like to draw and admire butts ok? Who doesn't?) was both hilarious and "on-brand" for me. But I had a friend trace for me the probability of where the ass could be because I could not see it.

lollll. For reference... It was supposed to be a shoulder plate with a sticker/decal and the bot looking over his shoulder, but I knew it was sloppy and could be better and it was never intended to be the final cover art for this book. It felt ambiguous at best, but quite funny that the unintentional perception of the robot love story book was A WHOLE ROBOT ASS.

I started chuckling about this and more people came out to say they also thought it was an ass.

Naturally...

I started blasting drawing

Poor Sterling doesn't have an ass like that. He has a much better ass! I must draw it. So I came up with a REAL robo booty cover.

There's a poll up for the cover available for backers but I am NOT putting the ass up because I know it will win and while I love my drawing I do not think it is the best representation of the inside content lmao. While it's a love story, the bots do very little in the way of admiration for physical features. So instead what I'm doing is if we reach $2500 on the campaign, every physical tier backer will get a free 4x6 print of the ass variant.

I swear my book is good and doesn't take itself too seriously (just like me) so I hope some of you will join me on this adventure by backing The Warm Machine. Because drawing robot asses was the last thing I thought I'd be doing during this campaign (positive).
