Well, I was a baby when my mum was killed. Do you remember? And it stinks!

That one shot of Chrissie surviving was amazing!!! And you don't have to continue it if you don't want to, but I was wondering if Chrissie would tell the police it was Lachlan that caused it? Or will she protect him and then try to pin it on Robert and then it all comes out when it did on ed?
Thank you! I’m not sure i can make a full on fic out of it but let me just ramble a bit. I think Lachlan would be majorly gaslighting Chrissie into believing she was distracted because of Rebecca yelling at her. And through her grief she’d believe him. I think she’d definitely try to drop Robert in it at first. As a knee jerk reaction after learning her father and sister are dead. And in a typical soap-amnesia thing she wouldn’t really remember what actually happened and it’s just easier to blame Robert rather than her own son. Lachlan would still go back to playing happy families with Belle and Chrissie would move in above the salon - which she still owns. She’d try to move past hating Robert and blaming him for the crash and maybe ends up talking to Kerry about the crash and everything leading up to it, and that’s when she starts to get suspicious of Lachlan. But he’s still her little boy so she can’t really let herself go *there*.
Instead of Rebecca it’s her he kidnaps, and he’s ranting at her that she ruined it all and she should have just left him with Belle and left on her own, and that she made him crash the car. And then it all comes back to her and she can’t believe her own son tried to kill her. She escapes, just like Rebecca, but instead of showing up at the cemetery she gets picked up by Swirling. He takes her to the station but she has a full on breakdown. Somehow he gets enough information out of her to track down the cabin where lachlan held her, but it burnt down. She spends a few days in hospital where Lachlan sneaks in and tries to smother her with a pillow. Everyone tells her it was just a nightmare and that the whole police force is on the lookout for him.
She moves in with Kerry for a bit (Dan and Amelia who?) because they’ve become friends, and the police think Lachlan has fled the country. She kind of gets her life back on track, and in the meantime Robron have reunited and she stops by the mill every now and then to see Seb.
and then the threats start again and she’s convinced Lachlan is back. And instead of stabbing Vanessa (who had nothing to do with it), he ends up stabbing Robert (who was in the wrong place at the wrong time - because of course he is). Chrissie finds him bleeding out in the street and she calls 999 and holds his hand while they wait for the ambulance. Calling him an interfering idiot who doesn’t know when to leave well enough alone, but still tries to comfort him the way he did for her when she was hurt in the crash.
She ends up calling Aaron from the hospital as they take Robert through to the OR right away and together they wait for news. Aaron insists the police put at least one officer outside of Robert’s room and some in the village too to protect their family. Robert comes out of surgery alright but has to stay a few days. Chrissie goes home, Aaron stays.
when she gets home, there is a picture of her and a young Lachlan on the mat with “remember?” written on the back. This goes on for a few weeks but she hides it, thinking she can take her son down herself.
one day she’s cleaning up in the salon late at night when Lachlan is suddenly there. he gags her and ties her up in one of the chairs and says it’s all her own fault. She should’ve stayed out of his business but she didn’t and now she has to pay.
he leaves and a few minutes later the whole place is burning. She thinks she’s going to die because nobody knows she’s in there but in the end it’s Aaron who comes for her. Kerry mentioned she’d been in there cleaning up, and Robert froze at the sight of the fire, so Aaron ordered him to look after Seb (and Liv to look after Robert) and ran in there to look for her. They make it out just in time and apart from some smoke inhalation, they’re both alright.
The salon and Take a Vow are lost to the fire and a body is found in the rubble and everyone assumes it’s Lachlan... but is it??
