hi! I'm really stuck on Carter lately, if you're still taking requests I'd love something where Carter's working on some kind of chemical experiment where he's not supposed to, and it blows up all over him and Klink.. and Hogan's there like a disappointed father

hogan can forgive questionable chemical experiments, but he draws the line at a bad lie -- carter will have some explaining to do back at the barracks! (...doubly so when lebeau sees what happened to his pot)

Long story short: he's a piece of shit

Slightly longer version of the story:

He sexually harassed someone, was kicked out starkid (that's why he's not in nmt 2, npmd or Workin Boys), then started talking shit about starkid on insta lives while starkid was doing a backer kit campaign, and then said in another live that in beauty in the beast he thinks Belle should be black to add depth of racism with the town hating her and Gaston would be fetishizing her (and said in that same live that one of his dream roles is Gaston)

If you would like more information on everything that happened, like spefically when stuff happened and what exactly were some of things he's said I've explained the situation a few times and made many posts while the situation was happening so I would suggest going through the tag "robert manion" or "tw robert manion" on my blog to find those posts

i can’t really say for sure since I haven’t played rdr1 and my knowledge comes from clips of gameplay i watched a while ago but I feel like Bonnie and John would have worked if John never joined the gang in the first place and his past was different. They have a sweet dynamic going on in rdr1 especially since it’s very much evident that Bonnie had a crush on him (she’s so real for that🫡) but I feel like Abigail is better for John.

Abigail has been with him since she was barely eighteen and he was twenty two. She’s seen how hard it was for him during the years of the VDL gang and how his past affected him. She knows how to handle him, keep him grounded and make him see straight, a great example is her continuing to push John to be a better father for Jack.

Another girl may loose hope after seeing the father of their child quite literally run away from her and her child and constantly pushing them away for years, but Abigail knew John, she knew his struggles and that the thing that kept John away from her and Jack was not lack of love but rather a fear of it. They unfortunately share a similar past and that makes them stronger together, she knows how to straighten John into becoming a better person and he knows how to be gentle to her, to treat her like a real human being. A thing so rare for her both in game and in real life since half the fandom (mostly the dude bros) only see her as John’s whore wife.

So while John and Bonnie had that sweet and refreshing relationship, in the end, John is far better with someone who can actually help him given his past.

Baby figure skater Bobby with that kind of dad scares me so bad I just want my boy to be loved because older Bobby seems so proud of his childhood self when we had that skating reveal episode 😩 Also, I’m glad we finally get Bobby’s brother reveal after that throw away line about him back in like season 1 or 2. and i think it was john who fell first but abigail, who tends to be a little more emotionally guarded (not to say john isn't also emotionally guarded, but i think in a different way than her), fell harder. honestly i soooo wish we could've seen johnigail in the early days of their relationship, like pre jack, bc we really know so little about them (that goes for the rest of the gang too, obviously rdr2 is already extensive as hell and we couldn't have deep backstories for each character). i think john, especially a younger pre-canon john would fall pretty quickly for abigail but when abigail finally fell for john she fell hard.

hey i'm the anon from the tw robert manion ask - i'm going through the tag now and oh this makes sense now. there's just a lot of shit i wasn't around for but this is filling in the gaps yeah he's a piece of shit. i haven't heard about the specific instance of him being transphobic but i'm sure i can find it so yeah don't worry about having to answer either of these asks, hope you're having a wonderful day

Yup definitely a piece of shit, I'm gonna keep that other ask up tho if that's fine bc there are a lot of fans who are new or weren't active when everything happened and aren't aware of how bad he is.

Iirc the transphobic instances were when he used a gender swap filter and used a term referring to enbies that they didn't like, can't remember what the term was, it wasn't like a slur it was just something a lot of them weren't comfortable with, and both of these posts were made trans ppl were like "hey can you please take this down we don't like it" he just wouldn't listen to them.

Hello! i keep bothering you but i REALLY like your thoughts. I'd like to know what do you think about how everyone in the gang is so sure that jack is john's child? Were John and Abigail in a relationship before but it don't really feel like it cause then john also had to accept that but he keeps denying and looks reasonable? So wondered what ya think! <3333

but anyway, from what we know, Abigail had feelings for John, or at least a crush on him, from her earliest days in the gang. It’s also known that, due to her line of work, she had slept with several gang members. However, she seems to have stopped selling her body around the time she became pregnant with Jack. So, I believe she actually ended her job as a prostitute before becoming pregnant and started a fling/relationship with John, which eventually led to her pregnancy and the end of said fling/relationship.

This is why everyone believes Jack is John’s, even though John denies it. Keep in mind, it was the late 1800s, and they didn’t have the technology we do today to precisely determine when a child was conceived. So, in a way, John has some reason to doubt Abigail. She could’ve been pregnant for two months but only started her relationship with him a month before, which is why his uncertainty isn’t entirely unfounded. But again, I’m not defending him because a big part of his reason to say that Jack wasn’t his is driven by his fear of being a father and even though some people in the fandom say that young Jack resembles Arthur for his light hair and some features I think he actually has a well balanced mix of both John and Abigail’s features making him undeniably John’s.

Unfortunately we know very little about the gang before 1898-1899 so this is all a big maybe but I feel like this makes the most sense
