Your character was born and raised in New York City and knew Ralph Middlemas much of their life, maybe from living in the same neighborhood, from school, or from crossing paths at the funeral home where Ralph worked as a teenager

When your character and Ralph were in their 20s, they got too drunk one night and confessed mutual romantic feelings on their bumbling subway ride home. The pair entered a private, non-official relationship that went on and off over several years. Ralph never told your character he loved them, and both seemed to feel the weight of their families to get married and have lives elsewhere. 

On July 20, 1969, Ralph was supposed to watch the moon landing with your character but ended up having to work the night shift. He was murdered that night by a new vampire. 

After the burial of an empty box, your character launched a personal investigation following the apparent "disappearance" of Ralphie's body. There was a cold, hidden trail of other missing corpses in the city and hospital records, and you followed them. Oddly, you even swore you saw Ralph himself on the streets of New York late one night but could not reach him before he vanished.

In the winter of 1970, your character's frustrated digging put them into contact with "the landlady," an elderly vampire under whose care Ralph had lived for a period. By that point, Ralph himself had already fled the city, but you were now a human who had drawn too close to the small supernatural underbelly. You were given two choices from the ragtag group of vampires upon whom you had stumbled: regrettable death or the ability to find out what really had happened to Ralphie, a mercy and a gift. You chose the latter and were turned.

Over the following decades, you were not able to reconnect with Ralph himself, who had all but disappeared onto America's highways, bouncing from place to place. But with hunters now snuffing out the last vestiges of the supernatural around the world, you have finally made your way to Lunar Cove, surprised to find the very person who had started you on this journey already there.

if anyone wants affiliated oc's, here's some much desired NPC's for my current oc's / their extensive lore.

richard's main friend group, aka the boys that were saved from the streets by till and grown into the gang & eventually syndicate they become. the idea is to have them have the same fc's as their respective band members in the music video their lore is based off of/and are named after, but that's up for discussion ofc if you're nice enough to pick any up. that video is ICH WILL btw, which i recommend watching if you're interested.

PAUL: individually, the most important of those is PAUL, as he and richard have been an unlabeled relationship (albeit toxic and codependent as HELL) since they met one another, &. paul was still addicted to / detoxing from drugs / richard was fresh of the street. paul came into the house after richard. paul is hopelessly in love with richard, as when richard was young he was a different person to an extent with unchecked anger &. no confidence. something paul helped with. won't go into too many details here, but as he grows he becomes who he is today -- and paul never stopped loving reesh due to their enormous history and developed codependency. richard is in turn obsessed with and possessive over paul. .... aside from that paul is the explosives expert of the group, and is the most light-hearted / fun guy to be around. other than that i'm open to anything the potential writer wants to go with. however he has the most ... development. paul also has heavy burn scars on his face from a bomb incident.

OLIVER: was raised by a woman with post partum &. heavy depression and in turn was not able to form bonds easily. i have spark-notes on him, as i used to rp him myself. he's a 'human shield' of sorts, though much more important than that to the operation. however he's an excellent shot &. very fearless. he's grey in almost every area if you know what i mean, &. his only trusted relationships are with the others. he was addicted to heroin when he joined the housemates. he's six foot seven, and is a man of few words. a good sniper, and an excellent shot in general. very practical.

CHRISTOPH was an alcoholic when he joined. he's the brains of the operations, very smart, and blind in one eye. (you can decide why). very stoic, very practical, and sees things in a logical lens. he's the voice of reason.... did i mention this man is fucking SMART?

and finally CHRISTIAN is a hacker of the group, and i have very little development on him if i'm honest, other than being a knit group within a knit group with ollie &. christoph.

RICHARD'S BIOLOGICAL KIDS:

tilly ziegler is named after her godfather till, &. she's a little mini-richard. her mom is @avemaria's oc temperance shaw, but only takes after her in looks. tilly is just like her father, &. a spoiled and entitled nepotism brat because of him. he adores her, and she is his favorite child. her fc was zendaya but again, up to change if you have someone better in mind. (someone has expressed interest in tilly! )

richard 'rj' ziegler junior, or (ii) - his prev. fc (or current) is Rob Raco. he's richard's firstborn son, &. second child. he turned out more like his mother, to richard's chagrin. he was supposed to be richard's heir but as he grew he was entirely a disappointment to that dream. richard then grew despondent towards rj &. generally abusive &. dismissive. this hugely affected rj. he &. tilly have a rocky relationship also, but she protects him from others despite being a bully herself.

jay's sister

ana weber doesn't have a lot of lore with her yet, other than jay being kind of like a third parent (or second since their father worked a lot). she is the one who convinced him to follow his dreams in america. i had it initially that she moved to america to surprise him but ended up getting hooked on drugs &. never ended up calling him due to embarrassment. however, she does call him eventually when she needed a place to go. however, this is perfectly subject to change. i don't mind at all! but she's definitely on the sweet side, like him. she would be german, and know how to speak it. she also had a fc of sophia bush.

I’m leaving this section pretty open as Lorenzo was adopted, so his non-biological siblings appearances don’t have to match his own in any way! However, they should all align with one another, so I would refrain from using anything that will be too difficult for others to match. You’ll also want to ensure that the family names, De Luca and Kelly (in reference to an ancestor and the auto shop) would make sense for your FC. 

BACKGROUND

These three siblings are the children of Lorenzo’s adoptive father (Angelo De Luca) and his late wife. Within a year of their mother’s passing, a lonely Angelo remarried Nancy, the woman who would soon become Lorenzo’s adoptive mother. After finding out that they were unable to conceive a child of their own, they decided to adopt. Originally settled on one of the infants in the foster home, it wasn’t until Nancy laid eyes on a five-year-old Lorenzo that she changed her mind. Although she was happy, Angelo found himself unable to connect with his new son in the same way that he had his previous children and the siblings struggled to adjust to all of the changes within their household. You can find Enzo’s intro HERE for a complete backstory/timeline of events.  Sibling 1: The ‘baby’ of the De Luca family and a total daddy’s girl. Everyone has always doted over her, including her elder brothers. She was young when their mother passed away and has little to no memory of her. This has also impacted the way she sees Enzo and her step mother. While she isn’t nearly as harsh as her brothers, she’s allowed their opinions to get the better of her and still maintains a distance now that her father has passed away. She is the only sibling who has remained in Briar Ridge.  Sibling 2: All his life, Sibling #2 felt the need to live up to his brother’s successes. He did as he was told and was usually in agreement with his older brother. It wasn’t until their father passed away that he finally realized how much he had grown to resent Sibling #3. Eager for a fresh start, he moved outside of Briar Ridge to raise a family with his childhood sweetheart and say goodbye to any reminders of the past. Compared to his older sibling, he is much more down to Earth, preferring a small town to a city any day.  Sibling 3: The ring leader. He is the sibling with the most memories of their mother, and perhaps the one to hold the most resentment toward his step mother. Despite sharing a lot of similarities with his father, Angelo, this sibling was eager to leave Briar Ridge the second he was able. I imagine he’s a business owner, either working in a similar field as the family business or maybe something totally unique! Either way, he hates that Lorenzo took over Kelly’s Auto Repair when his father passed away. He doesn’t see him or their step mother as family at all.

CONNECTION DETAILS: (tw: drugs, addiction) Sid started the concept of the band long before he met any of the members. When he got to Memphis at sixteen he met the first person, together they moved to Nashville and found the other three. Together they grinded through the music scene and at one point they caught a break with a new song which got them signed to a major record label. From there they started touring, still not the most beloved by fans but they had their own dedicated following. Together they were strong, and all of them were like family (including their significant others). Sid has an addiction problem that started early and got progressively worse through the years - you can read more in depth about it in his bio but the band and his wife are what pulled him through that. Now they are on a new label (which Sid is co-owner of), Sid is 3 years sober, and they are doing decent for themselves, though Sid did some damage they’ve had to repair the last few years. Sid primarily writes the lyrics (with some input at times) and sings, then works with the rest of the band to come up with the music to fit them. The positions in the band are: Drummer, Main Guitarist (also the person who heads a lot of the music composition), Guitarist (also is able to bring in other instruments if needed to change up the sound for a song), and Bass. One or two of these people also help with back up vocals.
