Brand new Madewell jeans ripped after 3 months. Customer service offered zero help

I am so upset!!

In November, I finally found jeans that fit me and looked cute at Madewell – their Perfect Vintage Jean. I was so happy by this that yes, I paid full price, $128 for the jeans. It was definitely much more than I had ever spent on jeans before. I wore them a few times out and about and washed them definitely only a handful of times and always hung to air dry. I went to pull them on about a week ago after I had washed/dried them and the denim was stiff, but coming up. Suddenly, the right inseam gave way and completely ripped from the crotch down to the knee. Like, HUGE gaping hole! I have NEVER had this happen, even on my crappiest pair of jeans. I of course emailed Madewell customer service and got this in response:

"I am so sorry to hear that, sadly we are not able to accept returns or worn, washed or defective merchandise past 30 days from the purchase date. Some of our Madewell stores offer repairs for Insiders but not all of them do, please contact your local store for more information,

Here if you need us."

I responded urging them to reconsider this policy, and as a result I will no longer purchase anything from Madewell again.

My next questions are:

Are these jeans salvageable? Should I try to go in to the store to ask for a repair, or would I be laughed at?

Has anyone had anything like this happen before to their Madewell jeans?

Does anyone have recommendations for better quality jeans that fit similar to the Perfect Vintage Jeans? It looks like I'm on the hunt again for new jeans…

Thoughts on ship;Johnny/Randall "So, see you tomorrow, Boggs." “Ok, bye, Johnny.” “…Bye.” No offence, but I see them using each other. Boggs uses Worthington for his fame and popularity. Johnny uses Boggs for sex. Johnny might feel a bit of attatchment towards Boggs but it all goes away after that ‘Hearts incident’. Still, Randall is in the frat because Johnny lets him. But dirty rumors are everywhere becuase some *cough, chet, cough* spill the beans. Which makes Randall completly alone for the rest of his college life. Randall still sometimes secretly blame Johnny for all of his mishaps and considers that as the worst choice he ever made.
