We won't run forever
Beth Dutton x Male Reader
Request - Could you do beth Dutton x male reader
Tumblr media
You are sleeping in your bed but your cell phone started to ring. You don't wake up and it stops ringing for now but a minute later, it rings again. This time you picked it up
“Hello?” You yawned.
“Y/n, it's me, Beth. I’m in jail and I need you to bail me out” Beth said.
“What? What time is it?” You yawned again.
“Y/n! Listen carefully. I need you to bail me out now!” Beth yelled.
“Don’t yell or I'm not going” You said.
“Fucker” Beth said.
She hung up and you sighed heavily. You get out of bed and you look at the time and it's almost five in the morning. You start to get dressed then you drive to the police station.
After a while, of waiting for them to release her and you paying a fine. She finally walks out of the police station and then gets in your car.
“Why they did arrest you?” You asked.
“I’m sure they told you before you paid,” Beth said.
“Come on, Beth,” You said.
“I don't want to go home,” Beth said.
“So you are not going to tell me?” You asked.
“We should get coffee,” Beth said.
“Fine,” You said.
You are Beth’s boyfriend and sometimes it can be complicated. But you and Beth don't live together but she has some of her clothes at your place. You used to live in the city then moved near the ranch then you met Beth at a bar.
You drove to a small restaurant and you ordered coffee and food. You keep staring at Beth and for a few seconds, you two don't say anything. She drinks her coffee and then takes a piece of your sausage.
“I got into a fight,” Beth said.
“I know, I can see the cut on your bottom lip. But why?” You said.
“She should have known not to mess with me,” Beth said.
“She had it coming then,” You said.
“Yes, she did” Beth smiled and then drank her coffee.
Later, you take her to your place. You lie down on the bed then she lies next to you, then she puts her head on your chest. You put your arm around her and she sighed.
✫ ✬ ✫ ✬
You and Beth went to a bar to have a good time. She ordered the drinks and you have your arm around her waist. You and Beth are smiling at each other and she kissed you on the lips.
“I told you this would be a good idea,” Beth said.
“Good thing I listened to you” You smiled.
You kissed her on the lips. She grabbed your hand and headed to the dance floor. She placed your hands on her waist and she put her arms around your shoulder.
“You know that I don't dance,” You said.
“You do now,” Beth said.
She kissed you on the lips and you started to kiss her back. Later, Beth went to get another beer and she started to drink it then she turned around and noticed someone flirting with you. She had her hand on your arm and you moved her arm away, but she did it again. And Beth felt jealous and she hates when someone flirts with you.
Beth rushed over towards her and then punched her in the face. Now, everyone in the bar started to fight and Beth punched the woman again. A guy was going to hit your girlfriend, but you punched him in the face then grabbed a beer bottle and smashed it on his face. The bar owner called the cops, but everyone continued to fight. Beth kicked a guy in the nuts then he fell and you grabbed a guy by his shirt and threw him toward the tables. Beth starts to fight another woman and Beth grabs the woman’s hair and throws her on the floor. A guy punched you in the mouth but you grabbed his shirt and headbutted him in the face. He fell and you spit blood on him and the cops arrived.
“Arrest everyone!” The cop yelled.
The cops started to grab everyone, and you and Beth got arrested. The cops made everyone stand in front of the bar. They handcuffed you before they got Beth, she punched the woman again who flirting with you.
————
You are riding your horse alone. You have a black eye from the fight at the bar and Beth has a cut on her cheek. You head back to the ranch and before you head to the horse stable. You people yelling and you rushed towards the barn. Roarke Morris is on top of Beth and he is yelling at her. Then she scratched his face and he started to scream, you jumped off the horse then attacked him.
“Y/n!” Beth yelled.
You start to punch Roarke the face. Then he hit you on the side of your face and you fell. But you and Roarke stand up fast then you attack him. You grabbed his gun and he didn't notice you took it, you fell to the ground then he grabbed the pitchfork.
“They deserve to lose everything!” Roarke screamed.
Roarke always hated Beth and her family. His main was mission to make Beth and her family lose the ranch.
Before he stabbed you with the pitchfork, you pulled the trigger. You shoot him three times in the chest and Beth runs towards you.
“Y/n, are you okay?” Beth asked.
She touches your face and you are breathing hard.
“Are you okay? Why did he attack you?” You asked.
She kissed you on the lips, then she helped you stand up.
“He thought I stole his horses. Fucking, idiot. He came over to make me confess then I smacked him and we started to fight until you came” Beth said
“I believe you, Beth. What about his body?” You asked.
She takes the gun away from you.
“He was never here,” Beth said.
You nod then she kisses you again on the lips.
You helped Beth take Roarke’s body to the middle woods. You started to dig a deep grave then Beth pushed his body into the grave. Now, you start to fill up the grave and she started to help.
“He never came to the ranch,” Beth said.
“He didn't,” You said.
You and Beth continued to fill the grave. Then she hid the gun far from Roarke’s body. She dug a deep grave and put the gun inside, she started to fill it up with dirt. You and Beth walked away and she lit a cigarette. You helped her get on the horse then you got on the horse. She wraps her left arm around your waist and you head back to the ranch.

I made a tier list for Pokemon Masters voices for all characters as of the current update.
Definitive voices are those that I just can’t unhear as the voice for the character eclipsing all others. Good voices are those that do just fine but either could have done better, suffer from comparison to better voices in other renditions of the character, or sound too similar to other renditions for it to matter. Bad voices are just...ugh, just what the Hell were they thinking!?
List behind cut (with updates applied):
DEFINITIVE VOICES: Aaron (Kevin K. Gomez) Acerola (Christine Marie Cabanos) Adaman (Micah Solusod) Alder (Cam Clarke) Anabel (Alexis Tipton) Archer (Christian La Monte) Arianna (Amber Lee Connors) Argenta (Rachel Robinson) Avery (Kayleigh McKee) Bede (Beau Bridgland) Benga (Casey Mongillo) Blaine (Kirk Thornton) Brawly (Jon Allen) Brendan (Aleks Le) Bruno (Greg Chun) Bugsy (Cristina Vee) Caitlin (Sarah Miller-Crewes) Cheryl (Laura Post) Chuck (Bob Carter) Claire (Sarah Williams) Clay (Kirk Thornton) Courtney (Anjali Kunapaneni) Crasher Wake (Kyle Hebert) Cynthia (Allegra Clark) Cyrus (Armen Taylor) Dahlia (Heather Gonzales) Dana (Elizabeth Maxwell) Diantha (Antonia Flynn) Emma (Jennie Kwan) Erika (Xanthe Huynh) Evelyn (Emi Lo) Faba (Alexander Gross) Gardenia (Erica Mendez) Geeta (Alice Himora) Ghetsis (Mick Wingert) Glacia (Katelyn Gault) Gladion (Alan Lee) Gloria (Della Saba / Stephanie Southerland) Greta (Anairis Quinnones) Grimsley (Greg Chun) Grusha (Edward Mendoza) Guzma (Doug Erholtz) Hapu (Della Saba) Hilbert (Griffin Burns) Hilda (Erica Mendez) Hugh (Stephen Fu) Hop (Vargus Mason) Iono (Lily Ki) Irida (Maureen Price) Iris (Cassandra Lee Morris) Jacq (Ricco Fajardo) Jainine (Janice Kawaye) Jasmine (Kimberly Woods) Jupiter (Brittany Cox) Kahili (Janice Kawaye) Karen (Mela Lee) Klara (Brittany Lauda) Koga (Christopher Bevins) Korrina (Ryan Bartley) Kris (Chermai Leigh) Lance (Bill Millsap) Larry (Yong Yea) Leon (Cedric Williams) Lisia (Brittany Cox) Lillie (Jennifer Losi) Looker (Mick Lauer) Lucas (Griffin Puatu) Lucian (Brandon McInnis) Lysandre (D.C Douglas) Malva (Morgan Berry) Matt (Mike Smith) Marlon (Ray Chase) Marnie (Cristina Vee) Marley (Dorothy Elias-Fahn) Mars (Christie Cate) Maylene (Erica Lindbeck) Melony (Wendee Lee) Mina (Cherami Leigh) Morgan (???) Barry!
I’ve always liked Cain a lot.
Shane!
MacReady!
The Novakid race!
the character you never expected to love so much:
Colress!
Probably Azazel and Samson? not that i play as anyone but cain >>
Alex!
Windows!
The Hylotl that helps you in the plot. Also the Floran race.
the character you relate to the most:
Barry and Hugh. Barry’s a manic impatient idiot boy and Hugh is trying to be a good friend but also Fucking Pissed
Isaac, cause mentally ill child in unstable household...
Shane and Alex, Shane’s depression really rings true for me (and reminds me of how a good pal of mine deals w/ it), and Alex being a guy trying to focus on Manly Stuff after a rocky childhood and loss of a parent
Mac’s paranoia in one bit is like when I get delusional but up to 11
The Novakids have no idea where they came from and just wanna be cowboys, yeehaw
the character you’d slap:
Ghetsis is a bitch and a horrible parent
Listen, I know people wanna instantly forgive Isaac’s mom and assume it’s just how Isaac’s warped perception shows her, but there’s still so many things that show her being a bad parent, so,
MORRIS NOBODY GIVES A FUCK ABOUT YOUR 50% OFF SALE
You’d think I’d say Palmer, right? Wrong!!! I wanna slap Blair
every last member of the xenophobic human cult
three favorite characters:
Barry, Roark, Colress

a character you did not like at first but do now:
Hugh, sadly... I thought he was a butthead until I realized he’s just Passionate
Samson, for reasons I’m not saying
Alex
Palmer
Koichi, I thought he was annoying at first, shame on me
otp(s):
Sparkress for a rarepair OTP, also my version of canon stuff has Roark close to Lucas’s age and them hooking up postgame w/ the game lasting a few years,
no
Farmer/Alex, Alex/Sam and Alex/Sebastian and Sam/Sebastian and all 3 together are cute
Windows/Mac is Good and not because of lazy computer jokes

Kacey Dutton x reader
Readers out with kayce she hears a familiar voice and knows it's her abusive ex so she starts to run but kayce follows her in the restroom she tells him kayce calms her down " stay with me "
Dutton's Are Better
Tumblr media
We got off of the truck walking inside the local bar. I found a spot near the bar that had two empty bar stools available. The bartender came over and we each got a beer. Kayce shifted the black cowboy hat on his head looking at me. “Sorry this isn't nothing fancy for date night.”
“It doesn’t have to be. I've had a whole life of it.” Turning my head in the direction of the young Dutton.
Kayce sent me a smile back. “Yeah.”
Kayce and I had met the day after his sister came into a confrontation between her and my father Roarke Morris. The company he works for wants to build an apartment on the land that the reservation and the Dutton families own. I first believed it was a good idea to make some change but seeing it now it would be horrible to ruin this place. “So what is so different about this date night then any of our others.”
“Why do you want to know?” He asked me sitting his beer bottle down in front of him.
I take a drink from my bottle. “You told me this was going to be a little different than our others. I wanna know how?”
At first we thought we'd always be enemies for as long as my father wanted to help destroy his way of life. He showed me the ranch one day when I was curious and wished to see it for myself. From that evening on some spark was born that we couldn't deny. Kayce reaches down into his pocket while getting down from his stool. “I was thinking we did this back at the ranch. But here works too I guess if you don't need some big spectacle.”
“Kayce, I'm serious. You could propose to me with a lollipop ring for all I care and I'd be happy  - wait, are you actually proposing?”
Sure enough before my eyes Kayce John Dutton lowered himself down on one knee. “Y/n, I love you. I didn't think I would give my heart to anyone else after my divorce and then you came around. I thought we were going to tear the other apart by how much we fought. But somehow we've made it past that. So will you marry me?”
“Yes. I will-”
“Y/n, is that you?” My entire body froze where I spun on my feet seeing a familiar guy walking up to me.
I gulped nervously, bolting away from Kayce only uttering one name I wished I could forget. “Dylan…” Spinning in my boots throwing my hair around in the air leaving the young Dutton on a knee in front of me.
“Y/n!” Kayce called my name getting up from the ground.
Rushing my way through the hallway to the bathroom I pushed through the door. Shutting it behind myself I plastered my body up against the door. “He can’t be here now…he said he would never live out here.”
“Y/n, hey are you okay?” I heard Kaycee’s voice on the other side.
I croaked feeling a tightness in my chest beginning to form. “I’m fine, Kayce. I’ll be out in a minute.”
“Did I do something wrong. I should have listened to Beth when she said proposing was too soon for us.”
I snapped at him. “No that’s not it.”
“Then what has you freaked out?” Kayce asked with concern in his tone.
I slowly turned around on my feet staring at the door figuring he was standing on the other side of the wooden door. “I saw my ex Dylan say my name out there. I never thought I’d see that abusive asshole again in my life.” Threading my fingers into my hair I knotted it up, sniffing through tears I didn’t want him to hear me sobbing.
“Y/n, listen to me. Please let me in. I can hear you crying darling.” Kayce spoke to me and before I knew it he pushed the door open and stepped inside. He stands in front of me gently closing the door behind him so we had privacy and locked it too. “Y/n?…”
I parted my mouth open slightly, mumbling out his name until I broke down sobbing. “Kayce…”
“Woah hey hey. Come here, darling.” He paused, opening his arms out for me. I raced into his embrace clutching the fabric of his brown jacket in my finger tips.
I cried into his chest for the next few minutes until I lifted my head up and he wiped the fallen tears on my cheeks. “What if he’s here to try and win me back?”
“That won’t be happening, baby. I love you and I’m hoping that you feel the same and I can slip a ring on ya. That sends a clearer message than anything…but only if you want to.”
I squeezed his hands in mine realizing I never told him my answer. “Yes, yes I'll marry you Kayce.”
He smiled reaching inside his jacket drawing out a ring. The ring was simple with one jewel in the middle that I got to look at when he slid it on my finger. “Don't worry about Dylan if he tries to come over and touch you I'll set him straight.” Kayce holds out his freehand and grabbed the door to open it with his other hand.
“Thank you, Kayce.” I placed my hand in his and we walked back to our seats. The evening went fine till we tried to leave so Kayce did end up knocking my ex on the ground with a punch. Thankfully no charges were put on him since we later found out from the sheriff that my ex Dylan was plastered drunk.
Comments really appreciated ❤️

In a Libertarian World
(Fiction)

(Taken from my manuscript “2 Cents Short”)
Who is John Galt?  “Who gives a shit?!” remarked Howard Roark, laughing as he read the first line of “Atlas Shrugged,” as he lounged on a luxurious, antique love seat next to a roaring fireplace.  Suddenly, he tossed the book into the fireplace and a spark hit the sleeve of his exquisitely woven, silk pajamas.  He attempted to extinguish the flame that was rapidly engulfing his garment, desperately slapping at it.  Panicked, he dialed 911, almost knocking the gold plated phone off of the table next to him.
911:  (A pre-recorded voice came on the line) “This is 9-1-1 by the Aryan Corporation.  This call will coast you one dollar a minute and will appear on your telephone bill.  Please stand by and have your account number ready.  An operator will be with you shortly.  Your call is very important to us, please be patient.”
Then, a live operator:  “Hello.  This is 9-1-1.  What is your emergency?”
Roark:  “Help! I am on fire!”
911:  “So sorry to hear that, Sir.  What is your account number?”
Roark:  “I don’t have one!  Send somebody!  Help!!!”
911:  “I’m sorry, sir.  “But I can’t help you unless you have an account number.”
Roark:  “I thought this was is an emergency number!”
9-11:  “It is! The Aryan Corporation privatized 9-1-1 years ago, so you must be a member to use our services.”
Roark:  “But, what can I do?!”
911:  “Sorry sir, I can’t help you.  I hope you find help soon.  Goodbye. Have a nice day!”
Soon, Roark was engulfed in flames and ultimately burned to death.  He was reduced to hill of ashes. As luck would have it, however, his mansion was spared.
A middle aged, black maid came in the next morning to begin her daily duties.  She soon surveyed the living room and fixed her gaze on the hill of ashes in the middle of the room.  The sight infuriated her.
In a tone of disgust, she exclaimed, “These white rich pigs are such slobs!”
Once she got closer to the pile, she realized it was Roark’s remains.
Silently, she said, ‘What chew gone and done now?  You got all burned up!’
She continued aloud, “Architect, ha!  Some architect you are!  You build these big ass monster buildings.  They are ugly ass buildings!  You had to do it your way!  Well, you genius, you are one dumb motherfucker!  You done burned yourself to a crisp!  Now, I am out of a job, thanks to your stupid honky ass!  Well, as Reverent Willie says, ‘Ashes to ashes, dust to dust.’  In your case, Shit to shit!”
The maid knew where Roark had kept his cash box, his “petty cash box,” as he’d called it.  Overall, he didn’t believe in credit.  He didn’t even have a bank account.  He didn’t trust the banks.  He didn’t want the Jews to watch over his money.  All of his money was hidden in some undisclosed location. However, his so-called petty cash box was inside of the piano bench.
She lifted the bench top and removed the box, placing it on top of a 17th century antique table.  This table had been one of Roark’s prized possessions.  His mansion was filled with antique furniture, worth millions.  Roark didn’t care about artistic aesthetics; his interest was about exclusive possession. The only people who ever saw these possessions, however, were his butlers, maids, and chauffeurs.  The maid had polished his furniture for years.
Suddenly, she gave a swift kick to an antique chair. It fell backwards onto the floor.
“I won’t be polishing this shit no more!  This is my liberation day!”
The maid was surprised to find the petty cash box wide open.  She looked over at the pile of ashes.
“You senile old fool!  You forgot to lock the box again.  Well you swanky chump!  I just gave myself a raise!”  She found a paper bag and transferred the wads of cash into it.  “I’ll count this blood money later.”
She grabbed her purse and coat, along with the paper sack.  She spat on the pile of ashes and said, “So long, sucker!” She left the oversized house.
Ayn Rand had once said, “Check your premises.”
Well, only police detectives would do that now.
It was a nice day in Bel Air, California.  The maid scurried down the meandering road that led to the large, iron gate.  She opened the gate, stepped through, and shut it closed.  She gave the mansion one last look and said to herself, ‘10 years of my life I spent cleaning after that rich pig!  Never again!’  For one last time, she walked the two-mile trek to the main boulevard, where she’d reach her bus stop.  Every morning, for 10 years, she’d climbed those two miles up that hilly, Bel Air road, to get to her job.  It had been an arduous walk for a woman her age.  But, that would no longer lay claim to her.
She arrived at her destination, dog-tired.  The bench’s wood was warped and needed new paint. She set the paper bag next to her on the bench.  The next bus wouldn’t come for another 45 minutes.  She dozed off.
When the bus arrived, the roaring diesel engine startled the maid.  She awoke in a disoriented state.  In a Pavlovian response, she arose from the bench and got onto the bus, leaving the paper bag behind.
The bus dashed away, carrying a maid who was the unluckiest woman in the world!

February Round Up
February Round Up: Mini audiobook review of Golden in Death by JD Robb & links, links, links.
Monthly Mini Review
Golden in Death by JD Robb, narrated by Susan Ericksen – B+ Can you even believe this is book 50 in the In Death series?? That must be some kind of record. Normally, I bail out of a series at about book 12 or so but I’m still up for stories about Eve Dallas, Roarke and the rest of the crew. I am desperate for Morris to get a HEA – maybe next book??

Veterans Day
Did you have the honor and privilege to wear a uniform of any branch of the US Military? Perhaps you have a spouse, daughter, son, or other relative that was, or is currently, in the service of the great United States of America.
If so, I and my family thank you/them for your/their service. Today is the day set aside to honor your/their sacrifice and putting your/their life on the line for the unparalleled liberty and freedom the rest of us enjoy each day in the greatest nation of the world hands down.
Billions of other people across the globe wish they were able to exercise the God-given rights many take for granted here in the United States of America. You put your life on the line to protect and preserve these rights. Take for example the simple God-given right of self defense.
You may have come back from your time in the service with memories of hardship, but also pride and a sense of accomplishment. Not all are so lucky.
You may not have had any injuries, physical or emotional. Not all are so fortunate.
My Dad
My Dad was a vet. He served as a medic in Company A, 6th Medical Battalion. He was in General Bradley's 2nd Corps in Northern Africa where I understand he got a serious scorching sunburn early in that campaign. Back then they didn't have the miracle sunscreen we have today.
Yep, that's my dad just after he got back from WW II. Who's that vivacious woman on his right? My mom, of course. Look at them. My dad was just 28 in that photo and my mom, are you sitting down? - just 22 - soon to be 23.
Imagine how bright red her lipstick was? You can sure see why my dad was attracted to my mom. Wow, she was gorgeous!
My dad physically survived the war, but emotionally he was a wreck. One might imagine the things he saw on the battlefield as he tried to save other soldiers lives.
Early in the war he was shot and wounded and got a Purple Heart. It was not too serious, so he stayed in the fight.
In March of 1944, his unit was overrun in a battle in southern France and he was captured by the Nazis. I was told a story early in my childhood that he had a chance to escape and not be captured, but he stayed on the battlefield to tend to an injured soldier.
Dad grew potatoes for the German Army in a Polish stalag. He was liberated thirteen months later by the advancing Russian army. I remember him telling the story of that glorious day at the kitchen table.
As I remember it, one morning in the early spring of 1945, he and the other prisoners woke up to find the Nazi guards gone. They had run away during the night having advance notice that the Russians were coming.
All of a sudden a Russian tank rumbled up to the prison camp, drove through the gate and stopped. Dad said they were all frightened thinking the tank was going to slaughter them.
The next thing that happened is the hatch on top of the turret flipped open and the tank commander popped his head up and looked around. He then disappeared back into the tank and came back up with a five-gallon metal fuel container.
It was filled with vodka, not gasoline, and a liberation party ensued!
Here's dad's purple heart medal and the one for his POW experience.
PTSD
They didn't call it that back in the great WW II. Dad had a bad case of it. Back seventy years ago, the medical experts thought the best way to treat this debilitating condition was with electro shock therapy. Did you see the movie One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest?
It turns out this shock therapy made PTSD worse for some, as it did my dad.
Dad was unable to hold a job, his depression was so great. My mom supported the family being one of the first women pharmacists in the state of OH.
Dad just stayed home and suffered. He slept on the couch and listened to country music most days. When I was young, I didn't understand all this. Back then, families didn't talk about it.
But as I matured late in high school and college, I started to connect the dots. Dad and I started to talk more and he took a great interest in my studies. He also was fascinated with my construction business as soon as I got out of college.
On days when he felt up to it, he'd come over to the first house I rehabbed - they call it flipping now - and shake his head in amazement at what we were doing.
We had to send my Dad back to Heaven when I was just 24. He was only 59 years old. He died of heart failure tied no doubt to his sedentary lifestyle, his relentless smoking, and no doubt a deep personal lack of accomplishment and maybe some shame.
But little did he know he was a great success as a man, husband, and father. He taught me many things even though the teaching happened in a subliminal way.
Dad taught me perseverance that he no doubt developed while a POW.
Dad taught me kindness, a skill surely he developed on the battlefield caring for injured and dying soldiers.
Dad taught me to honor our great nation. We had one very difficult kitchen-table talk when the Vietnam War was raging.
My draft number at age 18 was 127 and that year they went up to 125. If drafted, I would have gone, but I was a soul-surviving son so I was told I'd never be put into action. Remember the movie Saving Private Ryan? I was the only son in the family to carry on the Carter name for our family.
I want to call out some of my friends who are vets. My best friend in Cincinnati, Richard Anderson who twice VOLUNTEERED to go to Vietnam.
My good buddy Chuck who was in the Coast Guard.
My fellow home improvement peer Mike Morris who served in Vietnam.
My very good friend, who used to subscribe to this newsletter, Captain Dick Daniels. Dick was an F4 pilot in Vietnam. I forget how many times he tail-hooked on carriers. I got to meet Dick and his wife Sue on several trips out West.
My buddy Bill Kingman who was sent to the Middle East and was kind enough to send me a US flag that was flown over there.
My really good friend Bob Roark who was in the US Air Force as a crew chief.
My nephew Kevin who was in the US Navy.
If I overlooked you, I apologize. Please forgive me but you know I appreciate what you did.
Please know that millions of people are appreciative of your service.
I hope you have a fantastic day.
