Cinta 🌱

Dia punya cara sendiri bukan untuk mengekspresikan cinta kepada hamba-hambaNya?

Bagiku kadang cinta yang DIA berikan untukku begitu sederhana tapi mewah, semisal rasa tenang dan lapang saat memandang langit dan laut.Aku merasa kecil sekaligus tak berdaya kecuali dibantuNya.

Tapi kadang DIA menunjukan cintaNya dengan cara yang tak diduga.

Dia hadirkan resah dan sedih yang hanya bisa redah saat sujud padaNya. Saat kata-kata rasanya tak berdaya didepan manusia dan hanya dengan menyampaikan padaNya seketika lenyap sudah beban yang dirasa. Meski sebenarnya beban itu masih ada di pundak.

Tapi sungguh aku mensyukuri nya, sebab ukuran DIA mencintai ku ada padaNya bukan padaku, bukan sesuai mauku. Hingga yang tertakdirkan dariNya untukku adalah kebaikan demi kebaikan yang meski kadang belum ku pahami alasan di balik keterjadiannya.

Ah Allah, terimakasih untuk cinta yang tak bertepi hingga menuju 26 ku ini. Terimakasih atas kesempatan yang senantiasa Kau beri meski diri ini masih saja melewatkannya.

26 things I’m thankful for at 26

 It was my birthday yesterday & I decided that instead of focusing on turning one year older {ewwww!} I’d spend this week coming up with a list of things I’m thankful for. 

This is in no particular order just writing as I remember them. Wait for the last one though (26) because that’s SOLID! 

I’m thankful for: 

1. Family - Thankful for my parents for the legacy of faith. My siblings and all our extended family! Life is extra beautiful because of you all 💕

2. Ateneo - I’m thankful for my time in this institution both as a student and as an IEP instructor. I value the opportunity to learn from the best school! I not only learn academics but life lessons I carry until today. 

Ad maiorem Dei gloriam ✝

3. Compassion International - I was a compassion child for over 8 years! I grew up writing and receiving letters from my foster family. The Knight family! They’re an awesome fam! I remember being so excited receiving letter and photos of them. Their monetary support also helped me go on with my schooling and enjoy the best childhood possible.

4. Upright Generation Youth Group - God has blessed me with a wonderful group of people ever passionate for JESUS! I’m beyond words for how thankful I am I get to not only be part of this ministry but lead it too! 

I’ve spent numerous hours in prayer with this team and countless of joyous moment as we serve our generation for our King! #UprightGen I value each of you guys! #KeepPressing *Special greetings to my Bible Study girls x

5. Basketball and Wakeboarding - I love basketball! If you knew me from when I was younger you would know how much I love this sport. I enjoy it a lot! And therefore I’m thankful for it! haha 

Wakeboarding on the other hand,  is something I only enjoyed recently but has learned to love like basketball too. So yeah, thank you Lord for wakeboarding! haha 😂 *I love water adventures!! 

6. CHOCOLATE - Oh my gosh! I love chocolate! It makes me so happy! Thank you Lord for chocolates, chocolate milk (MILO), and more chocolate! 💗

7. Friendships - I thank God for my friends! They’re all scattered around the world though which makes it a little sad sometimes, but really thankful God allowed me to meet people from places I’ve never even been to. I think that’s beautiful and a huge blessing! 🗺🌎 Shout out to my global family! (Nils 😂) 

8. Music - I was never a good singer nor a good musical instrument player but I’ve always loved music! I think it’s a gift from God for us all! 🎵 #KeepSingin #Worship

9. Kingdom Builders Camp PH - So blessed I get to be part of this amazing movement every summer. For over 8 years now, I’ve seen God touch lives, transform young people, and revive hungry souls through this camp. From the staff team, to guests, to campers, parents, outreach locations, church partners it has been a blast being part of what God has done through this camp. #GoGod

10. Ywam SunnyCoast - I’m really thankful for YWAM in general and the impact they have in the nations... but YWAM Sunshine Coast needs a special mention! Teams from this base became part of my life and ministry. They came to the Philippines and touched so many lives! We learned from them and vice versa. I made strong lasting friendships! Thank you Lord for Ywam SunnyCoast teams and their hearts to GO! 🇵🇭 🇦🇺

11. Tita Lalaine - Thankful for her and the inspiration that she is to me. She has so generously shared her life to me, my parents, and our church. A true example of an ever loving Christ follower. Love you Tita Laine! 💗

12. Simon Family - Oh Yes, I love them! Thankful for their love and support! Their whole family is like my family now. Looking forward to one day meeting them all! 🇩🇪

13. EFAN , GreenEarth,  GoToNations, and GIFT

All these organization hold a place dear in my heart. I love that I got to be part of each of these groups! Served alongside some of the nicest people and met some wonderful friends for keeps! Thank you Lord! 💘

14. SUM & SOTH - Thankful I get to be part of these training schools! I am a better person, a better follower of Jesus, and a better servant because of these schools. Equipping is always a GOOD thing! #PrepTimeNotaWastedTime ⏳

15. Gift of teaching - Thankful I get to share knowledge and learning to people through teaching. I call it a gift because I know it’s God-given ability that has been such a blessing to my life. 

16.  Internet, Skype, emails - Thankful for this tool of communication we have today! We get to enjoy staying in touch with our friends and families all over the world. I think that’s a huge blessing! Use it wisely though 😉

17.  Culture - I’m thankful for the opportunity to experience new cultures. I think I’m wired for it! I love meeting new people and experiencing new things. Thank you Lord for diversity in your people! 

18. Rice, Adobo, and Sinigang!! - So happy I came from a country who loves FOOD! My top 3 favorite though would be RICE, ADODO and SINIGANG! Thankful for these comfort home food! Ugh now I’m hungry!! 😍

19.  Bible - I’m thankful for the Word of God! Because of it I find light and life in this world. #AriseShine 🌟

20. Ate Cherry - This lady is a rock star! I love her honesty, HUMOR, wisdom and grace. I can go on and write more adjectives to describe her because she’s just the best. Thankful I get to call her my best friend, confidante, and co-worker in the Lord. Love you Ate Che! 💖

21. BFF’s Tiffany & Ellie - These two don’t know each other and I met them on completely different times but they are my best friends. We don’t talk everyday but I know they love me and I love them. I value my friendship with each of them and can’t wait to one day be reunited again!!

22. Coffee shops and alone time - If you know me for awhile you would know that coffee shops and alone time are precious to me. I value “me time” where I get to just sit, drink some coffee, and write. ☕✍🏼

23. Healthy body and mind - Thankful I have strength to do things that I do. Explore the world, see new things and experience life with good health in both mind and body. I was pretty sickly when I was around 9-11 years old so now I’m so grateful to God because he heals and for giving me a healthy body to do stuff for Him.

24. Mangoes, strawberries, and watermelon - This is just the perfect combo! I love these fruits and I’m thankful I get to eat them and enjoy them when I can. Yummmmm 🍓🍉 *insert mango emoji 

25. Pictures and memories they hold -  I love taking pictures (and videos) of anything! I like capturing moments and having proofs of the goodness of God. Thankful for this art! 📷🤳

26. JESUS ✝

I intentionally decided to put this on the last part because this is what I’m most thankful for... I think He’s the anchor to which I’’m able to give thanks in the first place. Thank you God for the gift of life and salvation through Jesus! 

My heart is full! 💝

26 Lessons I’ve learned this year

1. You can’t be hard on yourself because you’re not where you want to be at the moment.  2. Proper preparation prevents poor performance. - GLC Quote  3.
