Reading articles about MrBeast's dominance of YouTube is fucking bizarre because, from my perspective, the dude isn't even on YouTube. I've never watched one of his videos. YouTube has, to the best of my knowledge, never recommended one of his videos to me. Every thumbnail screenshot of his looks like something you could tell me was a photoshopped parody of YouTube culture, and I'd believe you. No one I follow on YouTube ever mentions him, even negatively or in passing. The first time I ever heard his name was in regards to the quality of his ghost kitchens. The only way I know he isn't a mass, shared hallucination is that I've witnessed the thoroughly mid-looking chocolate bars he sells at Walmart for some reason

Hold the fuck on. I just saw Rosanna Pansino’s review of those Mr. Beast, Logan Paul, and KSI collab Lunchly things. You know, the Lunchable dupes? Not only did she talk about how she’d heard that some customers had moldy ones, but she included multiple videos of customers showing their moldy ones, and she, HERSELF, got a moldy one. This problem is so prevalent that a YouTuber in Los Angeles bought two random ones from a store and managed to get ones with mold. Ro said she felt like the seal on the packaging felt cheap and that’s probably why.

So my question is, if this is a widespread issue that’s being documented all over the Internet… How tf is there not an FDA Recall on this shit. This dangerous. These are being given to children who may not know what mold is and are just going to eat this. Like holy fuck.

I was subbed to Ro for years, she was one of my favourite content creators, I was subbed to her for so long and she was a large inspiration behind why I got into baking. But I can't stand her nowadays.

At one point she made a video going around her home, telling all her young, impressionable viewers to download this app, which she even stated she has no idea who made it, what they base their research on, anything, but to listen to this app. She then went around her home labelling literally everything as toxic and poisonous, she used those 2 words repeatedly, toxic and poisonous, sometimes even saying how she didn't even know what some things meant (like non-natural ink), and told everyone to get rid of all their cleaning products, all their hygiene products, everything, and to stick to only natural and organic substitutes, and to again, base this all on an app who we have no idea who made it or what they base this on.

But then in multiple videos after that, she'd keep doing it, she'd be talking about something then suddenly describe it as toxic or poisonous, and urge everyone to get rid of those products and only use organic and natural things. But my issues are, firstly, she has a largely young and impressionable audience, so I feel she needs to be careful with how she says and does things in her videos. Secondly, she never explained what toxic and poisonous meant, she never stated the symptoms, how quickly they become harmful, why they are harmful, nothing, she just uses 2 big scary words and thinks that's fine. Thirdly, again, she never explained who these people are that run this app, what they are basing their statements on, their credentials, nothing, but if you are urging your audience, especially kids, to follow what you say, and essentially threatening them by saying they're gonna kill themselves by not doing what you say due to using these other products, I think you need to be really clear and detailed on all the facts behind this. And finally, I'm just gonna go out and say it, it just reeked of that mumbojumbo, holistic, organic, natural, vegan superiority bullcrap. Which was so saddening to see she went down that route.

Like I said, I was subbed to Ro for years, I loved her and her content, I made some of her recipes, I wanted her cookbook and products. And I fully respect people's views and beliefs, even if they differ from my own. But not to repeat myself, it is how she handles those views, the words she uses, the fear mongering tactics, the lack of transparency, her audience, and the fact she kept repeatedly doing it. She can get on her high horse about this, but she does shitty things in other areas herself.

I just had a thought that mostly applies for my au (the who killed markiplier and escape the night crossover).

That's literally what a Jet Setter does. They have so much money that they can travel the world and go to social events that most people couldn't go to.

So I just have this scene in mind for the fan fiction im making about my AU.

So Ro has specifically asked that we spread this video because her original is being suppressed. She has more updates on her channel (Rosanna Pansino) beyond this including one that explains that he has been using non union labour behind the scenes because he doesn't want to pay benefits. The union is aware because he's trying to recruit members and has issued a statement to them saying basically working for him is scabbing.

People need to talk about this. I know Mr Beast has given people the ick before and a lot of criticism against him has failed as a result but this is genuinely disgusting and needs to be talked about because people are going to get hurt

ro pansino getting involved in this lawsuit is so weird to me because my sister was OBSESSED with her in elementary school. we have a copy of Nerdy Nummies from like 2015 and a bunch of ro pansino branded baking supplies that we still use because that was the highlight of my sister's christmas one year and the bowls are still useful. so going from like 'oh we used her cake pop recipe to make pokeball cake pops when i had a pokemon themed birthday one year' to 'she's one of the key figures speaking out against the heinous labor violations this one man is responsible for' blows my mind.

Return of Therapy Sessions - Rosanna's Check in with Dean Lee || #1

While Dean Lee was nice, Rosanna wasn’t looking forward to her Therapy Check up. Instead of moving forward, it felt like she was reverting. Her foot, crazy glued (no pun intended) to the pedal, stick shifted and fused in reverse, the car blasting backwards.

But she couldn’t say all of that. No.

Not when everyone else was doing so good. Everyone else, to the point where she was one of the few Original Greek Row members remaining.

And with Mark being so on top of the world?

She couldn’t. That would bring him down. She had to stand tall too, even if it meant wearing metaphorical platform boots, wobbling around like a toddler as if she could strut so securely.

“I can see you now, Rosanna.” Dean Lee prompted, opening the door for Rosanna, who had been sitting waiting outside her office in the hall.

“Thank you” Ro hummed, putting on her best chipper tone.

As they entered the air was cool compared to the muggy warmth of outside on campus. She sat herself down on the nearest plush armchair, placing her bag at her feet, and sitting straight and welcome. “So, Ms. Pansino, it’s been awhile, I hope you’ve been well. Tell me, how are you?” Dean Lee started.

“Oh, I’m good! Happy to have a full Alpha House again, it was getting kind of lonely.” she gave a soft titter. “Now all my cookies I bake when I’m bored go appreciated instead of stale.” she laughed again.

“Excellent! And how do you feel about the new students and how are the rest of your peers?” the Dean promoted, opening something up on her computer.

“Oh they’re all so nice! They seem like really good kids! I just started getting closer to Rose. She is such a sweetie! I really feel like we are connecting. It’s nice to have a girlfriend again, I don’t really remember the last time my peers weren’t masc.” she exclaimed, genuinely.

“That’s so wonderful to hear. I am glad you are getting along so well with all of the newer students, especially folks in your house. I hope Alpha flourishes and thrives!” Dean Lee smiled, typing as she spoke. “Speaking of peers, how are you and Mark?” They asked, looking over their computer monitor.

It felt judgy. I mean, it was a therapy session, but this felt more sharp.

It wasn’t. But… was it?

Rosanna cleared her throat and nervously moved some hair away from her face, that wasn’t really in the way to begin with.

“He’s great! He’s doing so good, I am so proud of him. He’s been juggling everything, and just… it’s really inspiring.” she nodded, speaking with her eyes away from Dean Lee till the end.

“Good, good. And with him being very busy, how has that made you feel? Truly. Has it affected you?” they inquired, typing again.

….definitely judgy. “Oh.” Ro sat for a minute, just a beat to catch up with her thoughts as they came rushing to her like a tidal wave. “Again, he’s inspiring! I’m so proud” she repeated.

Dean Lee typed, not looking at Rosanna now, not saying anything for a matching beat. Maybe two matching beats.

“That’s good hear, especially with how you’ve felt in the past. We don’t want a repeat of anything.” she nodded, looking to Ro as if giving her a chance to retort, to confess, to say anything! Ro didn’t, just crossing her hands over herself now, crossing her legs too. Very condensed.

“So, everything has sounded rather positive thus far….” Dean Lee said, adjusting herself in her wheely seat. “With that said, do you think the Youniversity remains a good choice for you?”

Was she trying to kick her out? Move her forward? Hint that she has overstayed her welcome? That she should be like her past peers - gone? Was this some kind of twisted way of saying Ro was stagnant?

With a deep breath, trying not to show how hard she inhaled, not to give any tells, Rosanna spoke again. “I really appreciate all that the Youniversity has provided me.” she began, “I have made so many wonderful memories, great friends, and I truly believe I met the love of my life.” she spoke with her heart, despite the worry and slight shake in her voice. “I think this place put me in the right direction. I may not be at the finish line, but I think I am on the right path. And…. And I know I’ve been here awhile.”

Dean Lee sits up a bit, and shakes her head to Rosanna. “Don’t focus on that” she replied now, looking directly at Rosanna’s gaze.

Rosanna simply nodded, sucking in her lips for a moment.

“Rosanna, is there any extra stress going on?” Dean Lee inquired now.

“No, no!” Ro placed her hand up.

Shit. She protested too much.

Dean Lee didn’t flinch at it, but did type again.

“I mean, sorry. Didn’t want you to… think because of my last comment about being here for awhile that…”

Dean Lee interrupted, “No, just a sidebar question.” she reassured. “So?”

“No, not that I can think of” -lie- “Just trying to be a good House President for all these new kids. I’m trying to be more present, more available. Around more.” her eyes drifted off somewhere, then made their way back to the Dean. Ro gave a small shrug, her face vacant of any expressions.

“I see. I admire that,  Rosanna, but please don’t burn yourself out. I see you saying Mark inspires you with how much he is doing. But, don’t run yourself ragged.” There was something else in Dean Lee’s eyes, but she didn’t say anything more. “Rosanna I want you to practice some self care in the next few days. Very simple. Nothing crazy. Buy yourself something nice. Take a Bubble bath. Watch your favorite movie.” she encouraged.

“Did I do something wr-” but Dean Lee interrupted, standing up and shaking her head, “Don’t look into it. Just want you to take care of yourself.” she replied, looking to the clock. “With that said, my dear, we are out of time. But it was excellent seeing you”
