Celebrating Spanish wedding traditions. I love where I live and I love to include a little bit of Spain into my ceremonies whenever possible. Whether it is a welcome in Spanish (the look on the English speaking guests' faces is priceless when they think the whole ceremony is going to be in "foreign"!!!), incorporating a Spanish ritual or me just wearing one of my flamenco frilled dresses, it's lovely to make a nod of acknowledgement to our host country. The Spanish #arras ceremony goes back to ancient Roman times where gold or silver was broken equally into two pieces to signify a promise to marry by two individuals. Nowadays, “arras” is used in Spanish legal terms to mean a financial show of good faith. And so, some couples choose an arras coin ceremony as a show of good faith before they say their wedding vows and as a symbol of their equality in all things. Celebrating soles! No that's not a typo lol! This groom is dapper from top to toe and rocking his red soled shoes.
