Some hcs:
- tei uses wattpad
- defoko has all of teto’s merch
- ritsu and teto are cousins
- all the vsynths live in a world called “the intersect” because it’s located where the internet starts and where reality ends that sorta like if pure chaos was shaped and made orderly by humanity’s imagination, though it still has pretty vague and lax “rules” compared to the real world and might sometimes contradict itself. Vsynth aren’t the only ones that live here
- people who don’t know defoko well frequently mistake their name as “utaune utau”
-adachi rei being a robot in real world causes her intersect self to be more robotic than the other robots, like people like momo and defoko are more “humanised” interpretations of a robot (can eat, thinks similarly to humans with few exceptions, can cry(though the water sometimes hurts them),etc.) while rei, while not completely acting like how an actual machine would, is still significantly less humanised (can’t eat, thinks more similarly to a machine, can’t cry, etc.) the others genuinely see no difference between them and rei, but rei can’t help to feel a little alienated by what even other robots can do that she can’t
If the two defoko seem familiar, I posted a them before on my main blog

Saki K x Mob Psycho 100 crossover
⚠️!! BEWARE OF CRINGE !!⚠️
(EDIT: This was like 3 years ago and I decided to finish this now so here you go anyway)
And Saiki is transfem here
Both Kuriko and Mob are Aroace and are in a QPR (Queer Platonic Relationship)
They moved out of their houses in their 3rd year of highschool and moved in together in an apartment at Canada
The both of them are seen as neutral introverts who don't smile often/rarely smiles but that changed when they tried to hangout out more with other people
Yes, Kuriko was willing to hangout. Kind off
They're now 22(Mob) and 23(Kuriko) yrs old, still on College
They're both a mix of lawful good and chaotic evil
Pure evil as the main dish with chaos on the side
They're the most self-controlled people you'll ever see on your entire life but would cause a Volcanic Eruption with a tornado on the side if they want to
They did that once
Kuriko likes to talk shit about everyone while Mob is there apologising to everyone
He does agree on some of them, some people they met are asses who could rot for all Kuriko cares
They do beauty stuff together<3
They have movie nights in their apartment every Wednesday, Saturday, and Sunday
Shigeo does Kuriko's nails while Kuriko does Shigeo's hair
They call eachother nicknames
Kuriko normally calls Shigeo "Shig" "Geo" and occasionally "Mob"
Shigeo calls Kuriko "Kuri" "Riko" and "Rii"
They rarely use honorifics for eachother
Hometown visit headcanons below
They visited their hometowns and went to Hidari Wakibara first
First it was Kuriko's parents. Kuriko is done with their embarrassing shit really
Kusuke and Kuriko's grandparents, who were temporarily living with Kuri's parents were delighted enough to tell Mob embarrassing stories when she was still a kid
Kuriko is ready to slam her face to the core of the Earth.
But in all seriousness, they were surprised when they saw how happy Kuriko is with Shigeo
They're happy that their youngest family member is finally opening up to other people
Kuriko and Shigeo were supposed to go to Cafe Mami but Kuriko's friends (or they proclaimed to be[kuriko thinks their her friends but doesn't admit it dw]) spotted them on their way there
Insert a sobbing Kiado, Nendou's "hey it's buddy!" and everyone else's "Saiki!"
Ah, sweet Deja Vu
Kuriko introduced Mob to them and they were happy that Kuriko has a friend to help taking care of her
They all went to Cafe Mami and talk about what they were doing for the past 6 years
They were surprise that Kuriko was being a little bit more social than normal but they were also glad since they know that she was finally opening up to other people
But what really surprised them the most is their physical touch
They know that Kuriko isn't the type to like physical touch, nonethless PDA
They were flabbergasted when Shigeo casually rested his arm onto Kuriko's and she looks like she doesn't even care
And the fact that she did the same thing
As much as they want to cry tears of joy, they held it in.
Except for Hairo, y'know how he is
When they split paths, the group finally let out their tears
Kuriko and Shigeo stayed overnight the Saiki household and left to Seasoning City the next day
Ritsu fucking sobbed
He wouldn't let go of Shigeo when they visited, completely forgetting about Kuriko's existence
But hey at least the Kageyama parents are there so Kuriko isn't ignored anymore hoorayyy!!
Shigeo's parents adores Kuriko
They know that Shigeo doesn't have a lot of female friends so it's a relief that he got Kuriko as a friend to take care of him
Not too peaceful but peaceful nonethless
Shigeo and Kuriko decided to stroll around for a bit
Kuriko likes Seasoning City
Though it's known to have a lot of espers and ghosts and spirits sightings, it's a lot more peaceful unlike Hidari Wakibara
They went to MobMcDonalds for take out and went to "Spirits and Such Consultation Office" to visit Reigen, Serizawa, and Dimple
What they didn't know is that the whole Telepathy Club was there too, and their takeout was only good for 5 people only
Tome was the most ecstatic while Inukawa was the most emotional when Shigeo entered the office
Kuriko's presence is once again, ignored.
"Hey Shigeo, who's the pinkette?"
Thank you Dimple, you're a life saver
Shigeo introduced Kuriko as his friend and college + appartment roomate back at Canada
Reigen said something about Shigeo talking about Kurkio a few times in chat and facetime
Shigeo shut him up by slapping his mouth shut
They were happy that Shigeo has a friend to take care of him
They went outside to hangout to catch up about things then bumped into the ex-Awekening Lab members along with
Teruki latched himself onto Shigeo like a parasite that even Ritsu couldn't get him off.
And oh, would you look at that, Kuriko isn't ignored this time!
Ritsu recognized and called out to Kuriko when he was trying to get Teruki off his brother
Teruki finally let go when Shigeo introduced Kuriko
Teruki just wanted to tease him by jokingly saying if Kuriko is his girlfriend (he doesn't know why but it pains him to say that)
Kuriko and Shigeo grimanced at this. They looked at eachother, then back to the rest
Kuriko is an Aroace Sapphic while Shigeo is an Aroace Pansexual
So it feels pretty wrong because Shigeo knew that Kuriko isn't into him and about the fact that she's into girls more
Teruki apologized for the joke but couldn't help but feel a strange feeling of relief and satisfaction
They hangout for a while at the park and were awestruck about Shigeo's and Kuriko's dynamic
Shigeo looks like he enjoys Kuriko's company, the same thing goes to Kuriko. Shigeo may smile a lot, but his smile is normally small. But right now, Shigeo's smile is a lot more bigger than how they remembered. Heck he's even laughing and he doesn't laugh a lot.
The scene is enough for them to believe that Shigeo is in good hands. They knew that Kuriko wouldn't do anything bad to Shigeo and vice versa.
Shigeo and Kuriko stayed overnight at the Kageyama household and went back the park the next day
This time, they bumped into the Body Improvement club
Just by taking one look at the Body Improvement club and you can already tell that they aren't the emotional type
Except that's all lies
The club literally sobbed. They sobbed harder than the whole theater watchers when they were watching Titanic.
They hangout and you know the drill
Shigeo and Kuriko needed to go back to Canada
They intended to stay a bit longer but an emergency came so they had to go back to Canada
Everyone sent their goodbyes sobbing is heard and lalalalala they went to the plane and flew back to Canada even if they damn well know Kuriko could just teleport them back but no
That's all of it thank yous for reading<3333

another thing about reader being transported to their world would be kinda funny because of the sort of events you have to plan for and (using the date plan a to z event as an example) while you’re rushing around trying to get everything ready, Chiaki and Katou (separately) ask you what type of dates you like
also is it okay to send in our own aus (i have one i typed up but have to edit due to ritsu not liking rei that much 😭😭)
Tumblr media
gn reader
tw yandere, jealousy
You tell Ritsu that you like him and his brother the same; Discussion of A to Z and Ring a bell in the self-aware AU
Aww yes, Ritsu would absolutely hate to hear that! He doesn't really like his brother all that much and he especially doesn't like being compared to him like that. He really hoped that he could become your favorite, wishing that you would have reassured him that you prefer him over his brother.
The smile on his face instantly drops and he's just scowling now, visibly upset. How had Rei managed to worm his way into your heart like that? He really isn't happy about this in the slightest and your cheerful tone of voice just made him even more upset. It's like you were blind to his misery!
He thought you liked him more than anyone else, but now you say that you like Rei just the same?
You better make it up to Ritsu by letting him cling on to you even more than usual. He needs to feel like he still has a place in your heart
Yes omg the events we plan for! A to z is a great example of that! They need some experience in dating and being in love so won't you help them out by going on a date with them? It's purely for educational purposes of course! And everyone else is just sulking shdhdhd
But you know what event immediately came to mind as soon as I read this ask? Ring a bell.
For those that only play the eng version or don't know what this event is about :
If I remember correctly, she needs idols to star in like a wedding promotional event thingy. At the start of the story, Mao and Midori see Anzu looking at wedding pamphlets and magazines and they freak out because they think the producer is getting married. They immediately run and stumble on Leo, who also flips as soon as he finds out about this, yelling that he can't let you get married yet!
In the event, Eichi knows that you're actually just trying to gather some knowledge on wedding events for the job but doesn't tell the other three because he thinks it's really funny how they freak out about this entire thing, thinking that the producer is getting married. Keito is just standing there sighing at the other's antics and generally suffering
It all ends in a sequence where Anzu explains that it's only for a job. And for this job they have to try and make a sincere confession on camera ( I think that's what it was like? It's honestly been quite a while since that event came out so my mind is a little fuzzy on the details)
Sooo.... you know what I'm trying to get at, right?
You're in the enstars world, just trying to do your job, while absolutely everyone collectively loses their mind at the thought of you getting married to someone else. Just who could that lucky person be? How did they get close to you without any of them noticing? How could they possibly think they were worthy of you?
They're trying anything they can to prevent this "wedding" from happening. Honestly you've never seen them *this* hysterical before. It's absolute chaos all around and you're not getting any rest.
Obviously there are more level-headed/smarter people like Eichi, Keito, Tatsumi,,.... that realize you're not actually getting married and are just trying to do your job, but their mood definitely soured for a bit at the thought of it actually happening one day.
Things will calm down a considerable amount once you explain to everyone that you're *not* getting married anytime soon and that there's no reason to try and order a hitman on an anonymous person.
When you've chosen the idols for the job you may notice that the person they're describing in their "confession" is strangely similar to you. They also sound so natural while professing their love to this imaginary person too, how strange!
Also yes, you can definitely send in your own aus! I can't guarantee that I'll necessarily always have a lot to say about it but I'd love to read more of your ideas ^^

My Ranking of the Sohmas from Fruits Basket
Back in late May 2020, I began to watch the 2019 reboot of Fruits Basket (I first discovered it from my good friend @sweet-chinchilla), and it's become one of my favorite anime series EVER. At the end of September 2021, I was finally able to finish the series, and I loved EVERY MOMENT of it! I felt like to do a ranking of each of the Sohmas from least favorite to top favorite (I'll try to keep it brief because there are 14 CHARACTERS to discuss!)
Also, if you haven't read the original manga and/or seen the 2019 anime, there will be MAJOR SPOILERS ahead!
13. Kagura Sohma (my least favorite)
The first female cursed Sohma I was introduced to. As much as I liked Tia Ballard as her in the dub, I just did not care for Kagura. Sure, she eventually moved on from it, but it kinda annoyed me how she kept pursuing Kyo despite him being not all that interested in being her boyfriend. Also, I know she had good intentions to talk some sense into Tohru, but knowing how violent she gets, was it really necessary to SLAP HER?!
12. Hiro Sohma
There was a point where I hated him more than Kagura. I did not like how he was such a brat and jerk when we were first introduced to him, but slowly, I warmed up to him. His crush on Kisa is adorable, and him growing to become a responsible big brother was just too sweet.
11. Shigure AND Akito Sohma (they're pretty much tied in this position)
Shigure is someone I'd like to call a "Sly Dog". He's a bit of a scumbag, but he's well aware of it. He's also one of those characters that's either "lawful evil" or "true neutral". He provides a lot of comedy in the anime including him being just a smart-ass. Also, when he's not acting like a jerk/creep, he's a pretty decent guardian figure for Tohru.
As for Akito, she's a beautifully written antagonist/character in general, and she's definitely someone I pity. Sure, much of her actions are unforgivable, but I feel like she's not expecting everyone to forgive her that easily (or at all even). Also, Colleen Clinkenbeard's performance as her is nothing short of spectacular.
10. Ritsu Sohma
To be honest, he needed way more love! I know people found him annoying, but part of me relates with constantly saying "I'm sorry!" over the smallest of things. He's a gorgeous character that I feel like deserves better. He'd be higher if that were the case, and if not for some of these other characters.
9. Kureno Sohma
I didn't expect to like him that much, but I do! Part of it is that charm that comes with most characters Ian Sinclair voice in the dub (his performance in the s2 finale was especially amazing). He's just a sweet and kind man, and I can see why Uotani fell for him and also reminded her of Tohru. Only complaint I have is that I wished there was a flashback scene of him transforming before his curse broke. I would've loved to see his Zodiac form at least once.
8. Isuzu "Rin" Sohma
Another character I didn't expect to love. Rin is a very tragic character, and what she had to go through was devastating, but seeing her being able to heal was just as emotional. Brina Palencia was amazing as her and is easily my favorite role of hers.
7. Kyo Sohma
Yeah, he's a little lower, but I don't love him as much as the ones that follow. However, he's still a GREAT character, and deserves so much after meeting Tohru. Kyo would sometimes remind me of Bakugo, but he's also a true cat. Feisty, acts like they dislike people but has a real soft spot (especially towards one person). Also, this was my favorite role by Jerry Jewell.
6. Ayame Sohma
The Sassy Snake himself. Oh, how much I LOVE Ayame! Like Shigure, he provides a good portion of the humor to the anime. Chris Sabat's performance as him is mind-blowing but also amazing (since most of his well-known roles are tough guys). Ayame is just so extra, and I love it. Also, his love towards Mine is sweet and I kinda wished we got more moments between them.
5. Momiji Sohma
The boy who was possessed by my Zodiac animal, the Rabbit! I strongly prefer how he looked before his growth spurt, but Momiji is just a precious bunny boy. It is heartbreaking to see that he's suffered and feels sad, but he's just so pure and precious. I hope the one he fell in love with makes him feel so happy.
4. Hatsuharu Sohma
This is who I like to call the "Bi Himbo Ox". Haru was instantly one of my favorites because he just cracks me up, he's super handsome (the studio behind the 2019 reboot really just made everyone look pretty), and also Justin Cook's performance as him. As much as I adore Kirishima, Justin showed off and executed the range of Haru's dumb, sweet, loyal, seductive, and harsh personality. Also, his love for Rin is adorable and him and Yuki is definitely one of my favorite crack ships.
3. Kisa Sohma
The precious tiger cub. I adore this sweet little girl so much, and how she looks up to Tohru like an older sister is so adorable! She's a precious angel that deserves SO MUCH LOVE. And I ALWAYS smile whenever I see her on-screen. And speaking of that last part...
2. Hatori Sohma
I don't know what it is, but upon first introduction, I've been drawn to him and he quickly became a favorite. There's just something so comforting about Hatori, from his kind and no-nonsense personality, prettiness (as mentioned, the 2019 anime animators make everyone look pretty), and his voice (all thanks to Kent Williams' performance). Hatori also has some of his moments of being a little silly, but it's due to the chaos he deals with whenever he's around Shigure and/or Ayame. Out of the Three Musketeers, he's my favorite.
1. Yuki Sohma
He was an INSTANT favorite of not only the Sohmas, but of the entire series, and seeing him grow makes me so happy! I also love how kind and gentle he is, and lemme tell you. This was the first anime I've seen after My Hero Academia, so hearing Eric Vale as Yuki was WILD (same can be said about Jerry as Kyo), because I was used to his creepy and chilling performance as Tomura Shigaraki. But hearing him as Yuki was amazing and it made me appreciate him as a voice actor. SO FREAKING TALENTED. If you wanna know how much I love Yuki, I have his Funko Pop! figure, which captures his beautiful likeness well.

Ritsu with his own set of protagonists is it’s own challenge. Naoya could potentially be fine granted he stops DANCING IN THE STREET, the other more modern kids don’t know what’s going on, Maya is Maya but Tatsuya 100% would be giving him a worried cranky stink eye the whole time.
Tumblr media
Now this dear anon is the good stuff I've not thought about and am now glad I can write down into my folder.
With the modern protags and others really, they wouldn't have a clue as to what the two beings have done or about Ritsu until he does something crossing the line of "hey that's what a normal person does".
Maya he may get along with all depending on can she cope with a child that is almost following in his chaos father's footsteps just a little calmer. Though I feel like because of that and Philemon also being his dad to a degree not even she will cope with him. The track record of what can occur because of people like them is definitely not good.
I've actually briefly wrote Ritsu with a Naoya which gives me the idea literally nothing bad can happen there. Judgement yes but violence is on the low. Only thing is a warning about other teenagers eventually kicking his ass. If picking favourites is allowed then that would be the other protag he'd prefer to be around for long periods of time.
And Tatsuya is the most amusing. If it does not end in a punch to the face or anything else along that line then something is definitely wrong. Local child of those who essentially ruined your life is around and ready to torment you more. By not blinking and mockery.
Also on my mind is the idea of Ritsu taking over for Philemon but that would just be pure chaos in another type of way. There wouldn't be any help just judgement.

@abendrotbrav сказал(а):
"Ritsu. Ritsu. You know I would never judge you, ever, in my life, and thus I would of course expect you never to do the same! Because we are friends." A pause. "But, if I said that perhaps, maybe, I may need your help with, say, something that will knock out a servant for a roughly seventy-two hours, would you be willing and capable of helping me out without being a little snitch? Please?"
Now that’s the sound of someone who needs a suspicious favor. Ritsu shrugs, indeed not judging her. “Depends on the Servant and if your motives are pure.” Sophia is, at times, even more of a chaos goblin than Ritsu is, and they would prefer not to join any actual problems that they could be blamed for and then experience repercussions.
Tumblr media
“Mostly I say that not ‘cause I’m judging you for wanting it, but because the Servants here are mostly my friends, and I try not to help knock out my friends for a few days for no reason. Wouldn’t want me doing that to you, wouldja?” But hey, if her reasons have reason, they shall help, and either way they aren’t going to be a snitch, because Sophia’s desires are her own problem.

I haven’t written fic in years, but mp100 and its fandom have inspired me to pick it back up. This was inspired by a post by @mikuhats and I hope you all enjoy!!
——————————————————————————
Looking back, Shou realizes he only had himself to blame, but he couldn’t have expected the outcome of his actions. Not in a million years.
He was, after all, the one who had broken the silence and occasional clicking of buttons. It was too quiet, and although he knew Ritsu valued the peacefulness if he didn’t speak he was probably going to explode.
“Hey Ritsu, I got a proposition for ya.”
The boy in question kept his eyes on screen, the only hint that he had even heard the redhead was the small hum of acknowledgement he made.
“Five races in Mario Kart. Whoever wins gets to draw whatever they want on the loser’s face.”
Not his best plan, but the thought of drawing something hilarious (and probably inappropriate) on the Golden Boy of Salt Middle School amused him more than he cared to admit. He practically vibrated in his spot on the floor, though this wasn’t out of the ordinary considering he could barely sit still in the first place.
However, he clearly wasn’t the only one scheming, as the illuminated screen let him see the corner of Ritsu’s mouth turn up ever so slightly.
“You’re on.”
They choose their characters (Shou chooses Toad, Ritsu picks Luigi) and their karts (something both boys are very serious about, maximizing their potential to work with their characters’ strengths). Shou grins, hunching forward towards the television. He’s ready to kick Ritsu’s ass and have bragging rights for at least the next week, as well as maybe have a photo for him to snicker at whenever he needed it.
Then the races start, and Ritsu annihilates him. Absolutely destroys him. With every green shell that hits Shou at the worst moment, every boost that Ritsu somehow manages to get perfectly, and every time the redhead’s kart flies off the track, Shou’s dreams of embarrassing Ritsu with his epic racing skills fly further and further away from him. He’s astonished really, Mario Kart is HIS game, and while he’s struggling Ritsu still has that calm smirk that Shou can’t wipe off his face despite all his efforts.
At the end, his pride is so battered that he almost forgets his fate, until Ritsu grins triumphantly and turns toward him.
“Alright,” he turns off the game, leaving the home screen as the only light in the room. “Where’s my marker?”
Shit shit shit shit shit and He’s going to draw a dick or something like that and I’m gonna look like an idiot were the two most prominent alarm bells clanging in his head. But he’s not gonna back out, he’s no coward and he’ll take his punishment like a man.
Ritsu stood, silently walking towards his desk as to not wake his parents. Rifling through his drawers, he picks up a brown marker, not as noticeable as black would be, but good enough.
He knelt back down in front of his friend, marker uncapped, twirling it between his fingers.
“What are you gonna draw?”
Ritsu rolled his eyes, flicking Shou on the forehead. “Like I’d tell you. Now close your eyes.”
Although this was normally when Shou would make a snarky comment or a half-hearted protest, this time he did it without hesitation. Bright blue eyes closed, leaving Ritsu free reign to unleash whatever chaos his artistic side was feeling that moment, which was truthfully nothing. He had no clue what he wanted to draw on Shou’s face, because he wasn’t going to do something basic like draw dicks, there was way too much potential to waste it on something like that.
He inspected his canvas, trying to gain some idea of what to do. Then he spotted them. Shou’s freckles.
The young boy has always been fascinated by them, if he was honest. Shou’s heritage made him look completely different than most people in Seasoning City, a physical representation of his out-of-the-box and fiery personality.
He was struck with an idea, and while it wasn’t anything embarrassing or funny, he was gonna have a good time doing it. Leaning in and ignoring the flip flop of his stomach, he pressed the tip of the marker to a freckle on Shou’s left cheek, connecting it to others around, even some on the side of his nose.
Normally, Shou’s mind was running at around 60 miles an hour, chasing and capturing thoughts while some slipped through his fingertips like sand. This time though, it was moving double time, speeding and racing, revolving around one thing.
Ritsu was so close. He can practically feel the boy’s breath on his face. It’s the only thing he could think about, and his mind took the possibilities and made them into a one hundred meter sprint.
He couldn’t stand it, the outside world was so quiet while his mind was buzzing and panicky and loud-
His thoughts, once floating and soaring, plummeted to the ground from the gravity of a hand on his cheek. His eyes snapped open.
“Dude wha-“
“I couldn’t control the marker calm down,” Ritsu deadpanned, oblivious to the other’s crisis due to trying to mask his own. “Now close your eyes, you staring at me while I’m drawing is weird as hell.”
Shou nodded dumbly, for the first time in his life he was completely speechless. His face was rapidly heating to levels he had only felt when his curiosity had led him to touching a candle’s flame when he was young. His heart was thumping so loudly that he was positive Ritsu could hear it and his mind was screaming and Ritsu’s hand was so warm.
He tried to focus on anything other than that stupid hand. The coolness of the floor underneath him, the hushed ticking of the clock in the hallway, the reminder that it’s 1:53 in the morning and he’s never felt more awake in his life, the pins and needles feeling in his legs from kneeling for so long. But nothing worked, because as soon as Ritsu did anything his thoughts focused on him like a moth to light.
Ritsu had moved on from his friend’s cheeks to his nose to just idly doodling on forehead, though his points of reference were quickly disappearing due to Shou’s face and hair becoming the same color. But it didn’t matter, he was almost done, and he didn’t know why that thought disappointed him. As he finished the final line, he tilted his work from side to side, inspecting his art.
It was cute. He’s cute, his inner voice corrected.
“Okay, I’m done.” It came out a whisper, as if he was too nervous to be any louder.
One eye cracked open, then another, and as soon as he saw blue, his breath trapped itself in his throat. Because he realized how close he truly was, inches away from the other’s face, and his cheeks began to burn.
For a moment, neither spoke or move, daring the other to do something. The challenge hung in the air, mingling with the nervousness and excitement that had been there previously.
As if bored of their game, the earth decided to continue its rotation. The clock sounded. It was 2 am, and the trance was broken.
Both boys backed away from each other. The tension was palpable.
“So, uh,” Shou started, very interested in his socked feet. “I guess I need to see what you drew. Hopefully something funny or cool, like a creeper.”
He chuckled in an attempt to dispel some of the awkwardness that permeated the room, and he silently thanked Ritsu for playing along.
“Yeah. It’s nothing crazy but it’s better than dicks.” The black haired boy shrugged, trying to maintain his calm facade when really his stomach was turning cartwheels.
Shou headed towards the bathroom, with Ritsu a few steps behind, making sure to avoid waking anyone up.
As soon as he flicked the light switch, the brightness smacked him in the face with an unforgiving relentlessness, and he groaned. He took a moment, blinking rapidly in order for his eyes to readjust to the stark change.
Once he could finally stand to open his eyes, he took in his reflection. There were no dicks, no creepers, and no words. He leaned in closer, inspecting.
His freckles were connected by brown lines to form various little shapes. Constellations. The Big Dipper on his left cheek, the Little beyond that, going up the side of his nose. Cancer dipped from his forehead to a spot above his eyebrow, and Sagittarius stretched from his right cheek to his ear to above his lip. So many constellations littered his skin, and the spaces not connected by brown were covered with planets, as if Ritsu was determined to leave no part of his face untouched. He was transformed into a miniature universe with something as simple as a marker.
He pulled and tugged at his skin, obsessively checking so he doesn’t miss a single drawing Ritsu had made. Ritsu observed him from the door frame, bouncing from one leg to another and twiddling his thumbs to suppress his nerves.
Ritsu waited. And waited. The seconds seemed to pass like molasses, idly dripping with no intent on gaining speed. Finally, it was too much. He coughed awkwardly, which brought the redhead back to earth.
“What do you think?” His voice cracked on the last word, buzzing with anxiousness.
The redhead looked at him through the mirror, grinning, cheeks a pretty shade of rosy pink.
“‘S cute Ritsu. Didn’t realize my freckles were such an inspiration.” His teasing was lighthearted, poking his cheek.
Ritsu scoffed, crossing his arms. “Well I figured it would be more fun than just writing ‘Fornite sucks’ or something like that.” His aloof attitude was betrayed by his refusal to look Shou in the eye and a blush that was overtaking his face and ears.
A laugh rang out, genuine and pure and happy. Shou was grasping the counter, shoulders shaking. It was contagious, and just like a lot of his actions, his best friend couldn’t resist joining him.
There they stood until their laughs turned to giggles and faded away. Their faces were alight, having laughed more in that moment than either have in a long time.
“We should probably go to bed. It’s late,” Ritsu pointed out. Shou nodded, turning back to his reflection, looking at his galaxy.
“I wanna take a picture of it. It’s really cool,” Shou reached into his pocket, gesturing for Ritsu to get closer.
Opening up his camera, the two grinned for a picture, their cheeks pressed together and Ritsu’s right hand brought up in a peace sign, with Shou’s arm thrown around his shouldner. After taking a few, Shou seemed satisfied, lowering his phone and inspecting the pictures.
Ritsu saw this as a cue to start walking back to his room, reaching to open the bathroom door.
“Wait!” Shou grabbed his sleeve, stopping him. They both looked down his grip, Shou dropping his hand quickly and muttering an apology.
“I want to take another picture. None of them turned out quite right,” his voice was uncharacteristically small, and he was stumbling over his words.
Ritsu raised an eyebrow at the sudden change of mood, but obliged. They returned to their previous pose, Shou opening his phone camera once more.
Shou gulped, mentally preparing himself for what he was going to do next. As he continued taking photos, he stood on his tiptoes (Ritsu still had a good two inches on him, a fact he never lets Shou forget) and pressed his lips to his friend’s cheek. He felt the other boy stiffen, and he quickly pulled away.
“Thanks for the pictures Ritsu I’m gonna go to bed now sorry if I made things weird just don’t mention it haha,” Shou made a quick exit, willing himself not to kick a wall or scream because he was positive he had messed it up and his first real friend had fallen through.
A calloused hand grabbed his own, and now the tables had turned. He stared down at their clasped hands, then back up at Ritsu, and the fact that Ritsu had yet to speak was killing him inside.
Ritsu silently inched closer, not taking his eyes off Shou, clearly focused.
“Dude please don’t beat me up I’m sorry,” Shou stammered, his eyes squeezed shut.
He was prepared for anything really: yelling, shoving, silent animosity, and he was suddenly reminded of his time at Claw in the worst way possible. What he wasn’t prepared for, however, was the soft pressure on his forehead.
For the second time that night, his eyes shot open to stare at the esper. He was in complete disbelief.
“If you wanted a kiss, you could’ve asked,” Ritsu muttered, embarrassed but still sporting a small smile.
The redhead’s jaw opened and closed, trying to form words but only succeeding in staring. He simply nodded, as his vocal cords were obviously betraying him.
“Let’s go to bed. I’m tired,” Ritsu yawned, tugging their intertwined hands and leading them down the hall. And through his embarrassment and happiness, Shou realized that, as corny as it sounded, their fingers slotted together perfectly.
As they climbed into Ritsu’s bed on opposite sides, allowing sleep to wash over them, Shou realized that this all stemmed from his stupid challenge. He reached up, idly tracing the stars that dotted his face.
Something had changed between the two of them, something they could talk about when the sun was shining. But for right now, each other’s company was enough.
And if they woke up with their fingers intertwined and their bodies much closer than before, they didn’t have to mention it.

Chapter 10: A Kiss With a Fist is Better Than None~
“You can’t fix me.”
Those four words spoken so softly had a violent effect on Ritsu. Something was different. Something was changing again. And Ritsu was getting so tired of resisting it. He had practically given in. But even after giving into the all encompassing feeling of shame, the pain did not go away.
However, the atmosphere of the room changed. Shou’s look had turned from stern to concerned. Great. Just fucking perfect.
“Ritsu, you aren’t-”
“Just…” Ritsu knew what Shou was going to say, but he couldn’t bear to hear it. “Just leave me alone.”
Shou furrowed his brow, lifted his hand, and before Ritsu knew it, he felt a sudden stinging pain across his left cheek followed by a sharp, “slap!” And for a second, Ritsu was completely stunned again.
“There,” said Shou, “We’re even now.”
“W-What?” Ritsu stammered while lifting his hand upt to the red mark on his cheek.
“It’s fine. I got you back, so we’re even.” As Shou spoke he made no eye contact, and walked past Ritsu toward the front door. He stopped just short of the shoe rack before lifting his hands up and covering the back of his neck, stretching his elbows wide.
“Man,” he continued, “That felt nice.” Shou turned around to face Ritsu once more. He posed casually, but something felt off. Something felt… forced.
Ritsu didn’t like where this was going.
“Ritsu,” said Shou calmly, “We can talk about this later. Whenever you’re ready I’ll be here, okay? But don’t lie to me, and don’t lie to your brother. We’re involved in this whether you like it or not.”
And with that, he left. But not before pausing for a second while holding the doorknob, sighing just loud enough for Ritsu to hear the pain in his breath. He had never hated himself as much as he did in that moment.
“Ritsu-” Mob started after the door closed, but Ritsu was already on his way upstairs to his room. He couldn’t stay here. He couldn’t be here much longer. He had to get out. Get out. Get out get out get out get out GET OUT!
Ritsu shut the door behind him, and immediately grabbed everything useful in his sight. A flashlight. Some blankets. Leftover sweets. His wallet. A change of clothes. And…
His phone…
With everything that happened today, it wasn’t like Ritsu was ignorant of how Shou felt. Still, perhaps out of pure masochism, Ritsu found himself on his bed next to a backpack full of things scrolling down to the first message from Shou.
“Yo, Ritsu! You said we’d talk again, but it’s been almost a week. Are you doing okay? We don’t have to talk about what happened if you don’t want to. We can just forget about it, if that’s what you want! Anyway, I was wondering if you wanted to see a movie? My mom said she’d pay for tickets, and we can try and sneak in some snacks while we’re there! Let’s plan to do something this weekend, okay?”
---
“Hey, Ritsu. Did you get my last message? Maybe you saw it and forgot to check it… I don’t want to assume. You’re probably really popular at school, huh? Got lots of friends… I get it. That’s just how it is sometimes! But… I just want to make sure. Call me back soon!”
---
“Ritsu, I’ve called you a few other times. You really aren’t picking up, huh… Ritsu, please… did I do something wrong? If I did, you have to tell me!”
---
“Suzuki…”
“Ritsu, if you’re mad at me, then just tell me! You don’t have to keep being friends with me, but at least tell me why! I don’t understand! Why are you doing this? I’m sorry about whatever I did, but this is taking it too far! I just… I don’t understand… I don’t understand…”
---
“Please…”
Ritsu couldn’t stop the tears from rolling down his cheeks as he clenched his phone tightly in his hands. With shaking fingers, he turned his phone off and sunk his face into his hands, letting out a couple of sobs.
“Please… please just hate me…”
That was all he could say. That was all he could think. It would just be so much easier if they all just hated him. And as Ritsu thought that, he came to a realization. There was only one other option left. There was only one place left to go.
He knew what he had to do.
Teru should have been happy. He should have been happy. Nothing was wrong. It had been a perfect school year. No, a perfect life. A blessed life. Yes. He was blessed. Born into wealth with a mother and father who loved him very much. Who held him when he cried and comforted him when he was bullied. Who supported him when he awakened his powers and let him stay at an appartment when his father had to move away for work just so he didn’t have to switch schools. Teru was popular in school. Even after the incident with “White T Poison” Teru was still well respected and a frequent target of anonymous love letters from girls. Teru even had friends outside of school. Several. Of course there was Kageyama and his kind forgiving soul, but there were also the entire Awakening Lab, Reigen, and even some of the Scars from the 7th branch who kept in contact with Teru even after the Claw incident.
After defeating Claw and dealing with that Divine Tree nonsense, Teru was, in a sense, free. There was no longer anything to fight against. There was only school, and school was easy. Maybe that’s why things had gone south. Perhaps he had always been more comfortable in chaos and fear.
When did it start exactly? Three, maybe four months ago. Teru wasn’t really keeping track of time. After all when it started, it didn’t appear to be anything significant. Perhaps it was just a bad day. A bad week. A bad month…
No. It started with a lie.
It always started with a lie. The lies he’d tell to his family, his loved ones, and the ones who loved him. And the lies he’d tell to himself. Teru was convinced that he was fine until that day.
Grocery shopping. It was a normal chore on a normal day, after spending another Christmas with his parents, in which he lied to them, and played the part so convincingly that he believed it himself. So the whiplash of switching from one life to another was starting to get to Teru. Oh well. It was normal.
And so are bad memories. Bad memories are normal. Nothing to be ashamed of. Everyone has things they’d like to forget. It was only a flash. A familiar image of a girl and the phrase, “I love you.” Teru froze in his tracks and his breath cut short, his neck turning bright red with bags of groceries in both hands
Shit shit shit shit shit shit shit shit SHIT!!!
Teru forced himself to exhale and he marched forward, swearing at the thought until he could ignore it. And that should have been it. Just a bad memory. One single bad memory. So teru went home and tried to unpack his groceries. An image flashed again in his mind. Faceless, nameless people. Gang members who he hadn’t bothered to remember the names of.
“I am the protagonist of this world.”
Fuck fuck fuck fuck fuck fuck fuck fuck fuck!!!
The swearing seemed to scare it away once again, but Teru was left feeling as though everything below his brow was on fire. He moved away from the spot he was standing in. Just standing still in a single area seemed to heat up the surrounding air. To think he was sweating in an unheated room while winter was still on it’s last legs. Teru finished unloading his groceries and decided to wash away the dirty feeling in the bathtub.
Teru opened the door to his bathroom, and walked through it. As he passed by the sink to turn on the water in the tub, he caught a glimpse of himself in the bathroom mirror. He was starting to get used to it. The new hairstyle. It actually looked really nice now that it was his real hair. He took off his shirt and glimpsed again at what was reflected through the glass. It was a different body than the one he had months ago. It was stronger. Still scarred from battles. Yeah, this person in the mirror was completely different from the person he was several months ago. But Teru could tell that it was still him. His eyes were still the same blue he’d always known.
He inched closer to the mirror, looking closer into his own eye. In it, he could see another, more shadowy and distorted reflection of himself. It was barely there, and if it weren’t for the bathrom light he probably would not have been able to see it. But it was certainly him.
Teru filled the tub and slowly let himself in. He always liked the bathtub. It seemed that water had the ability to wash away anything. Not to mention having psychic powers added an extra layer of visual stimulation to the mix. Teru lifted his finger and watched the water spiral upward as though he were creating a tube made entirely of water. He brought it all around the bathroom in swirls and loops as though he were tangling the string of water around like a knot. There really was a theraputic quality to water.
Teru spun the string of water around until he formed it into a ball floating straight above his head. It was during these times he’d let the water pour down on his head as though it were a shower, but Teru looked longer into the ball, staring at his distorted reflection. Teru liked the bath because it brought him a sense of nostalgia. But…
Teru’s thoughts were interrupted by the sound of a ring. That ringtone…
A woman. There was a woman, her face clear as day. Older. Middle aged. Black hair. She was smiling.
“I’m proud of you, Teruki.”
The ball popped with a loud splash, and suddenly the whole bathroom was wet. It was a special ringtone. One he had set specifically for his mother. Teru was frozen in place as it rang. And it rang. It rang and rang and rang and it just wouldn’t seem to stop. And just like that, his mind raced through thought after thought. Memory after memory.
“You’re just like me.” “What’s the matter, pansy? Can’t stand up?” “Do you think we’ll get married one day?” “We’ll always love you no matter what.” “I miss you.” “You’re like a superhero!” “You’ve changed…” “You’re terrible.”
Teru got up. The phone. The phone. The phone. The fucking phone! Water rushed off of Teru’s body and he didn’t care. He had to stop it. He had to end it. He had to… he had to…
But Teru’s jumbled thoughts were interrupted by a loud shatter. He barely had time to react. He raised his arms up to protect his face as glass shards came flying toward his body. His arms and chest were not spared. He could feel the sharp pains. Teru slowly lowered his arms and looked at the mirror. Not much remained of it. But there were some glass shards on the bottom left that didn’t go flying off. It was still cracked and Teru was reflected in pieces as if sliced apart and put back together, but the pieces no longer fit.
Teru looked down at his arms. There were two glass shards sticking out of his left arm and one sticking out of his right. His chest had several open cuts bleeding a deep red. Teru was not writhing in pain. He was not about to quickly take care of the wounds. It was almost funny how calm he was. And he was just freaking out a moment ago. But the second he saw the sight of his own blood, his heart rate slowed down. His eyes relaxed.
Yes. Teru was relaxed. He’d seen the sight of blood many times before, but only now he had begun to realize just what a pretty color it was. Teru had never been the biggest fan of the color red, but the color was the most stunning shade of it he had ever seen. Deep and subtle, yet bright and vibrant at the same time. It was hypnotic.
No, wait a second. Hold on. Maybe that’s kind of fucked up. Teru lifted the glass out of his arms with telekinesis as he held them out over the sink. Damn, they really did hurt. As Teru gently lifted the pieces of glass out, he could feel warm blood dripping down from his arms into the sink. It wasn’t much. If the glass had hit the underside of his arms he might be in real danger. But it was just the backs, so it was probably fine. He lifted up the other shards of the mirror that were scattered around him. He had been inspired by Mob’s ability fix an entire school building to make it look as though nothing had happened, so Teru had learned how to fix something as small as a broken mirror. He just needed to separate the blood from the shards that cut into him and put all the pieces into their proper places like a puzzle. But he hesitated before fusing all the pieces together. He wasn’t sure if he wanted to get a full look at himself without the hiding behind the cracks. As it was, he probably looked miserable.
Teru didn’t look at the mirror when he fixed it. He could tell he had done his job. But he didn’t really want to see the finished project. Instead he looked down into the safety of his damaged arms and focused on the pain. And as the sting of the wounds settled in Teru let out a small laugh. So small, it could have been mistaken for a sharp exhale. But Teru looked down at his bloodied arms with a melancholy smile of a boy who had accepted and succumbed to defeat.
It’s better like this.
Teru didn’t bother patching up the bite mark on his thumb. If it got infected, whatever. Who cares. Teru didn’t. What he did care about was that it was now 5:00am and he had been searching this whole night for Ritsu of all people. Well, whatever. This was easier to do. At least he had Ritsu to blame for all of this. Still, he couldn’t believe that Ritsu had been lying to everyone about their training sessions.
…
Scratch that. He could definitely believe it. Still, it was irritating. What was even more irritating was how much he was worrying his brother again.
Guess some people don’t learn from their mistakes.
Granted, Teru had somewhat been dragging out the search. Mostly because the place where he most expected to find Ritsu was the place he least wanted Ritsu to be. But Teru knew where he would be from the start. And like an idiot, Teru decided to help Ritsu keep his little secret. So he covered for him, pretended that he didn’t know anything, and suggested they split up to search all over town. And now, Teru was flying over trees, looking for some asshole who never learns.
Teru stopped when he saw the familiar crumbling building. A lot of the trees surrounding it were toppled over onto their sides, and the flat ground seemed to be overturned and a lot less grassy. Teru lowered himself onto the squishy surface of the dirt. Just what was Ritsu doing here?
“So you came.”
The voice seemed to be coming from above. Teru looked over to see Ritsu standing atop the ruins, painted orange by the barely rising sun. Teru could see dirt and scratches covering his whole body. He looked as though he had been living out in the forrest for days.
From Ritsu’s perspective, Teru was hardly visible. The sun was blinding him over the trees and yet teru was a figure in the dark, obscured by the shadows that the light left in it’s place. But Ritsu could sense it was Teru. He was alone. He was tired.
Perfect.
“Ritsu…” said Teru, looking up at the glowing boy. “What are you doing here? Why did-”
“I knew you would come, Teru-sa- No. Teru.”
Teru began to feel a bit anxious by how cryptic he was being. But really, Ritsu wasn’t a threat. He had nothing to worry about.
Or so he thought.
Ritsu looked down, and his eyes were obscured by the shadow of his hair that was beginning to rise like the hair of a cat when it’s scared. But Ritsu did not show fear, but rather a wide grin on his face.
And then Teru felt the ground giving out underneath him. It took him a few seconds to realize what was going on, and by the time those few seconds had passed he found himself hitting the ground as dirt began to fall from above. Teru reacted quick, throwing up a barrier and throwing himself in the direction he believed to be “up”. Teru knew he had broken out of the ground when he saw light and no longer felt dirt all around him, but he did not react quick enough to avoid getting temporarily blinded by dirt. He landed on what was hopefully stable ground and coughed out the dirt that had entered his lungs. But he could barely catch a second to breathe before he heard something rumbling behind him. He turned around and shot his hands out, but the large object rumbling toward him was already on his hands. And from the dry splintering feeling Teru could tell it was a tree.
Are you fucking kidding me?
Teru forced all his psychic energy into his hands at once and broke the tree in half, but the two pieces now surrounded teru on either side and both of them were heading over to him. Teru decided to avoid the threats instead of face them and using his psychic powers, he jumped as high as he could backwards until he found himself hitting a wall, and sliding down onto ground that was highly unstable. And that was when Teru felt the full force of a shoe slamming into his mouth.
Ritsu!
Teru could feel his energy. Now he had him. Teru was still mostly blinded by the dirt in his eyes, but he could sense the psychic power that Ritsu was using behind his blows. His arm was coming next. Teru grabbed his incoming fist, twisted it, and used his other arm to send Ritsu flying backwards into what was hopefully the forrest. He made sure to hit right in the stomach to knock the wind out of him as well.
Teru wiped dirt from his eyes and stood up. His vision was still blurry, but at least he could make out the scenery. But Teru felt something hard rolling around in his mouth. Was it a rock? No, it was too smooth. Teru spat it out, and felt around in his mouth with his tongue. There was a gap where a tooth should have been…
RITSU!
Ritsu could just barely hear Teru over his own struggle to stay conscious after the blow Teru had delivered. And as he got close, he began to feel vines tightly wrap around his body and lift him off the ground and into the air.
Chlorokinesis?
Ritsu didn’t know that was a skill Teru had learned, but it didn’t quite matter. He was in no shape to fight against it. And to think, after all that he had done to Teru he was still able to do this. Teru truly was a monster. As Ritsu caught his breath he found himself dangling in the air, tightly bound by the plants around him. Teru was below, with hands on his knees wiping dirt from his eyes and coughing. When he looked up, Ritsu could see his eyes were red and watery
“Ritsu…” Teru’s voice was raspy and angry. Ritsu smiled. “Are you fucking… trying to kill me?!”
“Even if I was trying to kill you, I wouldn’t be able to. Isn’t that right, Teru?”
“I’ve been searching for you for literal hours and this is the thanks I get?!”
“I think it’s a pretty good thanks. Didn’t you say you wanted me to surprise you? Well, consider yourself surprised!”
Teru opened his mouth as if to retort, but he closed it, realizing he couldn’t argue with that. But then Teru spoke again.
“That’s not really the whole story, is it?”
“Of course not.”
“Then what is?”
Ritsu couldn’t hold back laughter anymore. Everything was going perfectly.
“What are you…” Teru began to sweat. He truly had no idea what was going on.
“Teru, how long are you going to keep up this façade? It really doesn’t suit you.”
“Huh?”
“This whole act. I’ve grown tired of it. I want to see the real you, Teru.”
“I have no clue what you’re talking about.”
“That’s because you aren’t being honest with yourself. You see, I’m showing you the real me, so it would only be polite if you could return the favor.”
“What do you want me to do, beat you up?”
“I want you to show me what you’re holding back.”
“What exactly am I holding back?”
“Teru, you try so hard to hide it, but the thing is, we’re the same. You can’t hide it from me. I can read you like a book. Let me guess. You were popular in school. You cheated at life because you had powers. You might have been a bit of a bully, too. You were probably full of yourself until you met my brother, and you made the mistake of triggering his powers. So now you’re a ‘changed person’ am I wrong?”
Teru didn’t respond, but judging by the look on his face, Ritsu had nailed it.
“Well, we aren’t much different,” Ritsu continued, “I mean, I originally once thought I could change my worldview too. I thought I could live happily. I thought I was capable of something like that. But I was a fool. I know what you’re going through, Teru. You want to be different. But you need to know the truth. You are exactly the same.”
“Ritsu…”
Ritsu could feel the vines coiled around his body get tighter, but he continued to speak.
“I see it, Teru. I see it in your eyes. You can’t stand me. You’re trying to take everything out on me. You’re just reenacting those scenarios you’d play out back when you were at the top of your school. Back before you ‘changed.’ But you haven’t changed at all, have you?”
“Shut up…”
“You’re an asshole at heart. You’re personality still reeks of a self-entitled brat. And that’s what you are at your core. This is who you really are, Teru.”
“Ritsu… if you know what’s good for you, you’ll shut up now.”
“I never knew what was good for me! And neither do you! But I’ve realized that people can’t change. You’re either born good, or you’re not. And you, Teru, are a bad person at heart.”
But don’t get me wrong, thought Ritsu, I don’t hate you. In fact, Teru, I think you just might be the only person who understands me. That’s why I want you to experience this with me. The freedom of defeat… I am truly invincible right now.
“Oh? And are you much different?” snapped Teru. “You and your fucking brother complex… You know he doesn’t need you to protect him right? All you ever do is fucking worry him! Are you scared of him? Pathetic! You don’t even deserve to call yourself a Kageyama! You’re only a burden to him!”
“I know,” said Ritsu, calmly. “That’s why I’m here. You can’t hurt me with those words, Teru. Because I’ve accepted the truth. Have you?”
“Yes! I’ve changed! That's the truth!”
“No. It isn't.”
“Shut up!”
Ritsu found himself darting quickly towards the ground and hitting it with a hard smack. In the process, a few of the vines binding Ritsu had loosened up, so Ritsu broke free using all the strength he had. But as he stood up he found an air whip coiled around his neck. Teru flung Ritsu as far as he could into the sky and then shortly followed him up there and grabbed Ritsu by the neck with his hand.
“I’m going to make you take it all back,” said Teru, gripping tighter and tighter onto Ritsu’s neck. “I’m going to make you beg for me to stop. So you better not go crying to your brother after I’m through with you.”
Teru loosened his grip as if to alow Ritsu a chance to retort. So Ritsu did it with a smile.
“I’d love to see that.”
“Tch.”
Teru wrapped another air whip around Ritsu’s leg and quickly flew back to the ground, dragging Ritsu down with him. But Ritsu was prepared, and was able to break his fall without breaking any bones. Teru didn’t let up. He brought the trees that Ritsu had prepared for him into the sky and lit them both on fire using pyrokinesis. The look in his eyes was a mixture of both rage and ecstasy. From an outsider’s perspective, it may have looked like Teru was genuinely trying to kill Ritsu. But Ritsu knew that was the furthest thing from his mind. At this point, Teru had stopped seeing Ritsu as a person. He had become an idea. A concept. A thing that Teru had to crush in order to protect himself. But the more he tried to crush it, the more that concept would take over him until Teru officially became the thing he hated most.
Teru hated himself. He was ashamed of himself. Ritsu was absolutely certain of that.
And as Ritsu dodged flaming trees he felt that none of Teru’s malice was truly directed towards him. In a sense, there was a comfort to it all. Perhaps it’s true that misery loves company.
As fires surrounded Ritsu, obscuring Teru from his vision, he knew exactly what he wanted from the start.
He wanted to get hurt.
And maybe this was fine. Maybe this was peaceful. Maybe this was right.
But it all ended in an instant.
Ritsu put his barrier up wide to keep out the fire. Teru knew he would do this. So he tried something he had been working on for a while. He hadn’t yet perfected the technique, but his sense of logic ended when rage took over.
What happened next happened in under a second, but to the two espers, it might as well have happened in slow motion. Teru suddenly appeared inside Ritsu’s barrier, with an energy bomb charging in his hand. But Teru’s smile quickly turned from ecstacy to panic. And Ritsu could tell exactly what that meant. But it was too late for Teru to stop it, and it was too late for Ritsu to lower his barrier.
Everything went white.
