Several hours late, but here is my fill of yesterday’s prompt from @breannasfluff’s Ravioli Ship Week!
Music? Check.
Guests? Check.
Outfits? Check.
Decorations? Check.
Food? Did they have enough food? In traditional Lorulian fashion, the guests were all supposed to bring something for the meal. And they’d all agreed to bring sides and deserts to add to the roasted boar (haha. Thanks Zelda) that Zelda had gotten the castle chef to provide, but what if they didn’t? Or what if it wasn’t enough? What if they ran out of food before everyone had-
“If you keep that up you’re going to end up rubbing your hands raw before we even get started.” Zelda’s voice startled Link out of their mental spiral, causing them to jump and spin around to find her standing in the doorway of the room they had been told to wait in.
“Wha-?” Link blinked at her, drawing a snort of laughter from her (one Link still prided themself in getting to hear even after all this time. Zelda never laughed like that in public).
”Your hands,” she elaborated, gesturing down at them. Confused, Link looked down at their hands only to find that their rings were all askew and the skin around the beginnings of their thumbs and pointer fingers were red.
Oh.
They’d been rubbing them again hadn’t they.
“Sorry.” Embarrassed, they quickly straightened their rings (green holy ring, gold joy ring, roc’s ring) before shaking out their hands.
“It’s fine,” Zelda soothed, making her way over to them and running a light hand over the redness. Soft, bright energy sparked across their skin and when she removed her hands the redness is gone. “What has you so worked up?”
“I just…” Link crossed their arms, hugging themself to stop from rubbing at their hands again. “I want today to be perfect, you know? He deserves for it to be perfect.”
“And it’s going to be perfect,” Zelda reassured them with an understanding smile. “You two have put far too much work into it for it not to be. And even if something does somehow go wrong it will still be perfect. Because it’s you and him. And you’re finally getting married. So stop worrying so much, Little Sibling.”
“I know. I know,” Link sighed, reaching up to rub at their face. “I just—”
“You fret, I know,” Zelda’s smile quirked up in amusement. “It’s what you do. But you don’t have to fret about this. You and Ravio have this all planned out perfectly. And Hilda and I have our part covered.”
“Right.” Link nodded. They knew all this. They just needed to convince their anxiety. “You’re right. It will be fine.”

Help Me Rest
October 1 Prompt: Merchant (Linktober) & Sick (AI-less Whumptober)
Rank 1 in the Whump Scale (check series description for scale)
Something was wrong with Sprite. And Link was pretty sure he knew what it was. Not that it was hard to tell, despite Sprite’s best attempts at hiding it. There was some sort of sickness going through the camp and Sprite was showing all the signs of having caught it. He’d done his best to hide it, but Link had caught him coughing quietly more than once. And muffling sneezes. And now he was shivering, despite the fact temperatures had barely begun to dip below sweltering hot. No. It was obvious that something was very wrong with the boy. The problem was trying to bring it up. Sprite tended to be very prickly about things. Especially if he thought that the person talking to him was treating him like he was incompetent or weak in any way. It made dealing with him quite difficult. So Link was at a loss on how to even start bringing up this new problem.
“Hey Sprite?” Link froze, eyes darting over to find Ravio standing a short distance from their youngest member. The rabbit hood the merchant always wore made it impossible to see his face, but the older man’s posture screamed exhaustion. His shoulders were slumped down and his head was dipped slightly forward. Link couldn’t help how his focus narrowed onto the weary man and he could tell that Sprite was the same.
“Yeah? What’s wrong Ravio? Did something happen?” Sprite was leaning forward already, reaching over to touch the long purple sleeve. Ravio wasn’t a hero like Link or Sprite or Tune, but he was an integral part to their little group all the same. Link wasn’t sure quite how the purple-clad merchant had worked his way into their hearts the way he had. Maybe it had something to do with the fact he was married to the hero of his time? Or maybe it was just how he always seemed to know how to brighten the mood of the people around them. But whatever it was, he was important to them. And Link could tell that Sprite was already preparing to jump to whatever task it was that Ravio needed.

Note
Ask for Ravio; what do you do for self care and to relax?
Ravio: Who, me? Oh. Well. I enjoy several things. Sitting and drinking a cup of warm tea with someone I care about is probably the best, but I also like sewing, weaving, and crocheting various things. Walking around in mine and Link’s—I mean Mural’s—orchard is great too. Especially when the trees are in bloom.

Ravio has been commissioned now! This is him after he joins up with the group and has had the chance to get his bow from Lorule. In the first version his wings are tucked away. But in the second they’re showing nicely :D
Thank you so much to Lynn for drawing all of these for me! (So. Um. Apparently, I never posted this. Whoops! Here it is though!)

Ok. I wasn’t going to start posting here until the end of the month, but since Mel made, and posted, fanart for my Ravio I felt he needed to be posted here. I’m slowly working on fanart for my other heroes and will post all that I have done at the end of the month, as well as some of the art I’ve had commissioned for them. But for now, onto Ravio info!
Name: Ravio Ravenloft Hyrule
Alias(es): N/A
Nickname(s): Ravi and Bunny (Mural), Merchant, Bunny Boy
Birthday: (I am currently working on a calendar system for this AU, so this will come later.)
Age When Introduced: 25
Pronouns: He/him
Height: 5′3
Source/Game(s): A Link Between Worlds and Hyrule Warriors
Sexuality: Bisexual, Demiromantic, and Polyamorous
Favorite Color(s): Ravio has a passion for reds, greens, and a certain shade of brown. Red reminds him of Link’s favorite tunic as well as the great fairies back in Lorule. Green is the color of Link’s under-tunic as well as the green, growing plant life all through Hyrule. Brown. Well. He’s rather fond of the color of Link’ eyes. They’re like warm chocolate.
Disliked Color(s): Ravio doesn’t have any colors he really dislikes per say. Though he’s less fond of the brown that typically indicates dying plants.
Skills: Ravio is very sensitive to sensing magic and is able to weave the magic he can sense into items to enchant them. He can enchant mundane things, like pots that won’t break, as well as more specific things, like clothes that up defense.
He’s also pretty good when fighting with his various items, though he’d disagree. He’s quick on his feet and can shift items in an instant to better deal with the current situation.
Outfit Notes: Ravio’s outfit is a a compilation of different things. To help Link recover from the various losses in their life Ravio and Zelda helped them pick out things that would remind them of the people who meant the most to them. And Ravio decided to do the same thing with his own outfit. His sword is the blade that Link made for him as their wedding exchange. His earrings are copies of the earrings that both Zelda and Hilda wear (he wears the Hyrulian Triforce Earring on his left side, which is the side he typically has facing Link when they walk together. To keep Link’s sword arm free). His bag has a little pink bunny, for Link. He had boots made with Fairy Lilies on them for the Great Fairies in his time. And he embroidered the two different Triforces onto the ends of his scarf to mark his two homes.
The tunic itself is still the tunic he wore when he first met Link, but he had to make some...changes. He realized that the long tunic was a liability during fights. It kept tripping him up. And that just wasn’t safe. So he cut it shorter and cut slits in the side before hemming it properly. Then he put on pants. Just because Link likes to show off their legs doesn’t mean Ravio does. The black gloves are useful to prevent callouses, but they’re mostly to cover up the Triforce on his hand.
Other: Ravio is the bearer of the Triforce of Integrity, one of the three parts of Lorule’s Triforce.
After helping Link save both of their worlds (ok. He mostly rented and sold gear to Link. And gave them a bit of advice. And patched up their wounds. And cooked them food. You know. Nothing too important) Ravio did his best to help Hilda rebuild Lorule from the ruin it had fallen into. Eventually though, his sister realized that he was miserable in Lorule, mostly because he was missing Link something fierce. So she spoke with Zelda (via letters through one of the few remaining cracks) and worked with the great fairies to get another bracelet built for him with enough to get him there and sent him on his way.
Upon arriving back in Hyrule, Ravio was immediately welcomed by both Zelda and a completely shocked and overwhelmed Link, who hadn’t expected to see him again. He moved back in with Link and set his shop back up (with far more reasonable prices). After a time the two of them fell in love and, eventually, married.
Shortly after their honeymoon ended Link went through a strange rift that appeared outside their home, going off to start a new adventure. Ravio intended to wait there for them, but a day or so later a strange portal appeared inside their home, and he could feel it pulling him in. So he gathered up the gear that he knew how to use (the ones he once sold to Link) and made his way through.
On the other side he found himself involved in an all-out war that spanned across time. He did his best to help out, especially after meeting three other Links fully absorbed in the whole mess. After the war Lana was unable to send him home due to his magical signature not leading to anywhere she could find. So, for now, he’s stuck in that time. Waiting for her to figure something out.
Note-I have noticed that I accidentally drew his his sword on the wrong side. Ravio is left handed, so the sword should be coming up from behind his left shoulder, not his right.

A Hero's Choice: Ravio
Ravio was lonely. He could admit that to himself (and to Zelda, when they had spoken over dinner the night before). It was weird being at the house and not having Link there. Sure, he'd done it plenty when they first met. Link had been in and out of the house (more out than in), working to save both Hyrule and Lorule. But that was years ago. And Ravio had long since grown accustomed to having his spouse around.
It wasn't like he'd lied to Link when they were leaving. No. Ravio did know what he'd been signing up for when he'd married His Hero. And he wouldn't try to change Link for all the rupees in both worlds, but that didn't mean that he didn't miss his spouse when they were away. Maybe he should find some way to occupy himself while Link was gone. Some new project? Preferably something that could lead to something he could give to Link when they came home...But what? Nothing material. Link already had plenty of things. But maybe Ravio could take the time to learn some new recipe for them to enjoy? Or they could focus on their item crafting and try and find a way to mimic some of the items Link had into a more convenient manner of use?
There were so many possibilities, but it wasn't like he needed to decide now. No, Ravio was pretty sure he had some time to figure this out. Link's adventures were rarely that short, and they'd only been gone a day and a half now. So he could put off deciding for the moment. Especially since he needed to do a quick round to check on the orchard and the bees.
Pushing himself out of the chair he'd been resting in, Ravio started for the front room of the house. But before he could get far a flare of magic caused him to stumble and almost fall. A quick flare of his wings helped him catch himself enough that he could stay upright, but it was a near thing. Still rattled, he ended up leaning on the wall. What in the-?! Ravio stared at the door in front of him. What was that?! He could still feel the magic. It was just through the doorway, in the front room of his and Link's house. It...it didn't feel anything like what Link had traveled through, so it probably wasn't his spouse coming home.
But then what was it? And what was Ravio supposed to do about it?! Ravio swallowed hard and slowly straightened, taking his hand off the wall. But before he could do much more than that the sound of familiar, alarmed chirping drew his attention toward the nearest window where, not long after, Sheerow came diving through. The panicked bird-like being seemed to calm slightly when he caught sight of Ravio standing in the room, unharmed, and flew over to settle on Ravio's shoulder with a concerned peep.
"I don't know, Buddy," Ravio admitted "It just showed up a moment ago. Whatever it is. Should...should we have a look? Sheerow was quiet for a moment, but after a while he gave a quiet trill that Ravio knew was meant to be an agreement. Welp. Lovely. Guess it was time to figure out what had just dropped into the main room of his house. At least he had Sheerow with him.
Ravio allowed himself enough time to take a deep breath, but not much beyond that before he turned the handle and pushed the door open to reveal what was on the other side.

Separation: Orchards and Apples (Knowledge can be Love)
October 22: Picking (Flufftober)
Ravio, Fox, and Monarch are separated from the rest. While trying to find the others they find a grove of apple trees instead. Ravio is happy to share what he's learned about apples with the other two.
A 0 on my whump scale
Well. This certainly wasn’t what Ravio had been planning for when they got started for the day. But, it could be worse. The most recent portal may have spat him out separate from Mural, but he wasn’t alone. Or even separated from anyone he knew. No. He was with both Fox and Monarch. And Sheerow was with him too of course. So, all things considered, he was far better off than the last time he’d ended up separated from Mural via portal. Plus, looking at where they had ended up, Fox and Monarch were probably the best people to have with him. He just hoped that everyone else in their group was as lucky as he was.Though, knowing his spouse they were probably in far more trouble than their fair share.
But. There was nothing Ravio could do about that now. Except worry of course. Something he was exceptionally good at, but was also exceedingly unhelpful. So he did his best to focus on his current situation instead. As best as they had been able to figure out they were probably in a time close to Fox, Hound, or Diritaln’s. If not in Diritaln’s or Hound’s. Since Fox was able to spot one of the Sheikah towers pretty quickly after they arrived. Towers that were built shortly before Diritaln’s time and were destroyed between Fox’s two adventures. So that narrowed things down some.
Well. Narrowed down from what it had been. Best as Ravio understood there was still apparently ten thousand years between those three times, but it was better than the probably countless years between Crimson’s and Fox’s!
Anyways! So they were in either Diritaln’s time, Hound’s time, or somewhere near one of those three. But there was no way to know when exactly they were until they reached some form of civilization. Of some kind. Though just a glimpse of the castle could help narrow things down a bit more as well. Unfortunately, it didn’t look like they were going to be able to do either of those any time soon.
For the moment they were at the base of what looked like a medium-sized mountain with plenty of trees. They’d first come out of the portal a short ways away from the mountain, but both Fox and Monarch had suggested that they hike up the mountain to get a better idea of where they were. Ravio was just thankful that it looked like it would just be a hike the whole way up. No sheer cliff to be seen. He could fly up. And so could Monarch, but with how thick the trees were they’d have to branch off from Fox a decent amount to do so. And he really didn’t want to do that. Not if he could help it. And since Monarch didn’t mention it he probably didn’t want to either. So hiking it was.

Songs of Peace
October 16: Singing One Another to Sleep (Flufftober)
It's well known that Marin has a beautiful voice. A voice that people will stop what they're doing to listen to. Ravio thinks he's lucky to get to hear her voice more than others get to. Marin thinks she's the lucky one.
A 0 on my whump scale
Marin had a beautiful voice. This was a well known fact to just about everyone who had the luck to meet her. And a welcome blessing to all she chose to share her voice with. Marin’s songs had uplifted many downed spirits and soothed many hurt souls over the course of the war. Everyone who heard her sing knew they were blessed to do so.
But as far as Ravio was concerned he was the most blessed when it came to hearing Marin’s voice. He did share a living space with her after all. And, with the war finally over with, the two of them spent a good deal of time in each other’s company. And being in Marin’s company for extended periods of time meant hearing her sing. Marin spent a good part of her day singing, or at least humming, under her breath. No matter what she was doing. So there was no getting away from her songs. Not that he wanted to of course.
But, if you were to ask Ravio he would be quick to say that his favorite songs of hers were her lullabies. Lullabies were a type of song that far fewer people got to hear from her, but Ravio was one of those lucky few. And the one who had likely heard them the most. Seeing as they lived together and she liked to sing to help get rid of nightmares. Of which he, unfortunately, had his fair share of.
But, unbenounced to the majority of people in Hyrule, Marin wasn’t the only member of their little household with a good voice. Ravio’s might not be quite at Marin’s level, but few were. And his voice was still soothing and sweet. Marin counted herself as extremely lucky to be only of the few people to have heard it. The only others being his spouse (Link), his (deceased) uncle, his sister Hilda, the Captain Link, Tune, and Sprite. Ravio typically didn’t feel comfortable singing in front of others, but he wasn’t against bringing out a soothing song if someone was having a hard time sleeping. Or needed help calming down from a bad dream.
So, as it was, it wasn’t uncommon for the unlikely pair to end their day curled up in bed, getting ready to sleep and one of them to ask the fated question.
“Would you sing for me?” Who was doing the asking varied from night to night. Often coinciding with how each of their days had gone. But it was asked almost every night.
And that was how it went one night, around a year after the war had ended. Two bodies laid out on the bed, dressed and ready for sleep, covers pulled up and wings settled comfortably. The day had been alright for the most part, but Marin had been hit by a bad set of homesickness that evening so, as they settled in for the night, she looked over at her partner and asked, like so many nights before.
“Will you sing for me?” Ravio had been expecting it. She’d had a rough evening after all. And he was always happy to try and help her sleep after a bad day. So, without further ado, he shifted one wing to settle over her and began to sing a quiet song. Marin had heard this particular song many times before and by this point she knew what the words meant as a general thing, but the language was still foreign for her. Old Lorulian had its differences from Hylian after all. She didn’t mind though. If anything, the lack of understandable words helped settle her mind all the better.
So, with the low, quiet tones of a familiar song about warm beds and loving parents wrapping around her and a soft wing laying over her, Marin allowed herself to drift off to sleep. Safe and loved. No matter how far she was from where she once called home.
It didn’t take long for Marin to fall asleep like that. And, soon enough, Ravio followed her into peaceful unconsciousness. Neither knowing how important the next day would be.
But that was tomorrow. For now they rested, safe in the knowledge that, if nothing else, they had each other. And the songs they brought to one another.

A Hero's Choice: Mural
They'd done it. They'd gotten married. It was almost a year ago now, but Link was still having trouble wrapping their head around it all. Just the fact that Ravio had chosen to return to them instead of staying in Lorule had blown Link away and it had taken time for them to readjust to having someone in their life other than Zelda. But then accepting that Ravio not only wanted to stay but loved them? That had taken a whole other struggle. In retrospect it shouldn't have been, Ravio had been showing them affection nearly the entire time the two of them had known each other. Link had just been blind to it. Willfully perhaps? Marin had still been fresh on their mind when they met Ravio after all.
But all of that was in the past. They'd long since accepted Ravio's love and devotion, embraced it even. And returned it in equal measures. To celebrate their marriage Ravio ended up surprising them with a trip to several of the places that Link had traveled to during their adventures. So that Link could see old friends, and Ravio could meet the people he'd heard stories of. They traveled to Holodrum to meet Din, Dimitri, Ricky, and Moosh before heading to Labrynna to meet up with Nayru and Ralph. Then, finally, they went to Hytopia to see Styla. Ravio even managed to get ahold of the two other heroes that Link had befriended during their last time in Hytopia, setting things up for both of them to be there too!
Needless to say, Link had a blast. Traveling around to see old friends while having someone that fully intended to stay healed things they hadn't even been fully aware were hurt. They would have to find some way to show their husband how much all of this meant to them. Link had done their best to tell the merchant how much it meant, but Link had always been better with actions instead of words. They'd have to think of something they could do as a proper thank you. It would be easier now that they were almost home. They'd probably see if they could get Zelda to help as well. She'd helped Ravio set up his part after all. Actually. They needed to do something for their sister too for that fact...
They could work on making dinner instead of having Ravio do it? But they weren’t the best cook, so maybe that wasn’t a good idea…Maybe spend some time this evening pampering Ravio? They knew their husband loved having their wings preened and Link did love getting to preen them. Those wings might be one of the few physical differences between the two of them (outside of coloration), but they often brought the two of them closer together rather than pushing them apart. Oh! Oh they could-Gah! There were too many ideas bouncing around in their head.
But those plans were put on hold as the two of them rounded the final corner that allowed Link's orchard to come into view.
"Shit." Yep. That about summed up how they were feeling right about then. Right in front of them, just off to the left of the path to their house, was what Link could only describe as a rift in the air. It wasn't as neat as the cracks that had led to Lorule, but it was clearly something similar enough. Couldn't whatever this was wait until they at least got all the way home from their Honeymoon? This was rude. That's what it was.
"I'll go back your gear." Ravio's sigh cut through Link's frustrated thoughts and the Hyrlian spun to look at their husband.
"Ravi I'm sorry! I-" Ravio cut them off, quite effectively, by putting a hand over their mouth.
