the morning sun peeping through the blinds is perfect on her pale skin. you cannot help but trail a few kisses along her shoulder. worshiping her as she deserves.

the woman only legs out a small huff. a fond one. you have come to learn of all her mannerisms. as emotionless as she may be.

"not sure, have to make it worth my while."

oh rishima. your stubborn, workaholic rishima. alas, you were always a sucker for a good challenge.

so beneath her nightgown your fingers trail. pressing closer to her body that lays in bed. until your chest flushes her back.

your warm hands cup her breasts. tender. flicking rough thumbs along her soft nipples. smiling into her shoulders as you hear the hitch in her breath. feel the perking of her supple flesh.

"yeah?"

your voice finds her ear. you can see her nipping into her lip. leaning into your hands.

the clicking of heels halts altogether when your voice meets her ears and the woman glances over her shoulder. ever the hung, dull eyes and the pretty red lips pulled into their straight line — she stares at you for a moment or two. magenta eyes swiping you from head to toe.

“yes, I am aware of who you are.” turning fully, her lab coat flutters in the wind and her little black dress is revealed in the parting. “I did register you upon your first recruitment, after all.”

a brow arches and rishima’s eyes narrow in the slightest at your explanation. “a. . . mall?” she questions, voice lowering. with a swipe of her hand, a holographic screen of red and orange appears before her fingertips and she types away. “if I recall correctly, your last mission should have been somewhere around 9948e. what were you doing in a mall?”

she’s about to continue her scolding before she lets out a hushed sigh and pinches the bridge of her nose.

“. . . yes, alright. I’ll send in a request.” she makes a motion with her head for you to follow. “come along then kid. follow me.”

the wind brought up by the swift movements of you and your girlfriend leaves a calm feeling in the already tranquil air. sword in your hand as you dodge the blade in hers.

a dance, is what the both of you have grown accustomed to. the art of swordsmanship is something both you and meng yao delighted in, which is why during some of her time off she offered you another duel.

with your other girlfriend not too far away, her magenta eyes focus on the both of you. specifically you.

“staring is rude, rishi,” you tease after the clutter of your blades fills the air. a stand-off.

you earn but a roll of her eyes, yet she refuses to pry them from you. “should I be ashamed of staring at my gorgeous partner?” she drawls in that monotone voice of hers. erupting a chuckle from meng yao who witnesses your fluster.

“you —”

“ah dear, is it not true what dear rishima is saying hm? yes,” another chuckle leaves meng yao, though this one much deeper than the other, as she flickers away your sword with her own in your distracted and flustered state, forcing you to lose balance after a small nudge to your foot. her free hand catching you by the waist before you tumble and fall.

“you are quiet gorgeous” she sings out, voice lively and full of warmth as usual. her long black hair slowly brushing over her shoulders and tickling your face as dioxazine eyes look deep into yours.

“you ar- urgh” you sigh in defeat as meng yao lifts you off of the ground and slinging you over her shoulder, making her way over to rishima.

“let us have some tea and coffee, no? sit and enjoy this weather. I do so enjoy the light and quiet snowfall”

with a small hum of agreement from your left, rishima runs her hand through your hair and follows you and meng yao back to the garden entrance, leading back inside of the zhao estate.
