˖ ࣪ ଓ your innocence to him is quite amusing. he enjoys it whenever you spew out words and don’t always catch onto what they mean at first, until you then do the moment you notice the lift of his eyebrow and the smirk that his usually poker-faced expression shifts into. he especially loves to watch your entire face heat up and go deep red whenever he pins you up against any nearby wall and whispers small flirting compliments into your ears, while leaving subtle touches around your body to leave that lingering feeling of a hand on your waist, hips, thighs or ribs. all so that he can hear you whining out his name. hiding your face in the corner of his shoulder. which he never allows you to do for long, pulling away your face from his shoulder so that he can place deep kisses against your lips, barely allowing you have your oxygen.

a relieved groan eases into the air. wet strands of dark hair sticking to your skin and that of pale as he leans his head back into your skillful hands.

“mm, someone’s finally relaxing,”

“shut it,”

“you’re like a grumpy cat!”

“I am not gr - mmm,” another sigh of content as your fingers expertly work against one of the aching muscles against his head. another breath and haitāo is nuzzling back into your shoulder. smearing foamy soap all over your skin.

a hushed laugh leaves you as the warm water eases tense muscles. you had offered a relaxing bath in response to your tired lover trudging in after a long day at the resistance. messy hair, dark circles that put even a raccoon to shame and that low, grave voice that practically spoke for him — he needed a break.

needless to say, it was a mission in it of itself to actually get haitāo to agree. what with his vehement protests and assurances that he was fine. that all he needed was a shower before getting right back into his newest set of plans.

luckily, you know one of his greatest weaknesses.

“you sure?” the croon in your voice is just as soft as the hands that soon caress you. foaming soap all over your skin just as you did to him. massaging his own fingers into the crevices that ached for you as well, stealing little squeezes here and there at your thighs or hips whenever he could.

“because you certainly do act like a cat. had to practically throw you in,”

your grin is met with an arch of his brow and a deep chuckle reverberates from within the reaper’s throat. “with all due respect, doll, don’t think you really have it in you to throw me.”

now it’s your turn to roll your eyes and huff out of him. arms hooking around his neck as you push forward and find your rightful place in his lap.

“you doubt my strength, mister zhào,” another huff which quickly turns into a yelp when those strong hands are on your hips once more. squeezing as they always do.

“just as one does the strength of a puppy.”

“I’m not a puppy!”

“well you’ve certainly got the eyes of one,” cupping your face, he draws you in and peppers kisses all over your face. chuckling at your whines. “certainly whine like one too.”

a smack to his chest and he’s pressing a kisses to your throat in apology. before he slumps back against the edge of the tub with a contented sigh. face buried into your neck and body melting against yours.

“mmm, just a few more minutes.”

“we can be here for as long as you’d like baby,” and so you press another kiss to his temple.
