#Repost @grungechords • • • • • • Back in 2015, Stone Gossard heard that Toni Wood, the mother of Andrew Wood (vocalist for Malfunkshun & Mother Love Bone) who passed away from a heroin overdose on March 19, 1990, was living in a dilapidated mobile home. Stone and Jeff Ament (Pearl Jam) raised money from PJ fans, their manager, and donating memorabilia to buy Toni a new mobile home that didn't leak. This is the kind of story I wanted to share today in remembrance of Andy Wood. Only later was I told by a friend @jeffament himself painted this mural on the side of @easystreetrecords here in West Seattle in respect to one of the most influential bands (and men, Andy Wood) of the last 30 years.
