Seeing you dinged up with bruises would make her fret a lot at first, and she assumes due to the countless ones littering your skin that someone had purposefully caused them rather than it being an incident between you and every inanimate object that dared cross your path. Really… You had a bruise on your knee from hitting it on a book that was on your bed. She would almost be impressed if it were not so concerning for her. She feels a bit flustered when Nolan chuckles at the sight of you covered in bruises. What was he thinking? He gets one of her signature glares in reply.

🟣 Her concern is best expressed through a harsh look and helping stop you from running into things or tripping over your own feet. It simply is maddening how you seem to be made to stumble and fall and cover yourself in bruises. She looks away for one moment, and you have bumped your arm hard into a doorknob. A quiet huff of frustration leaves her as she strides over to make sure that you are otherwise alright. A mark is already there to begin the telltale signs of a bruise to come. There is a helpless feeling in trying to save you from yourself. Part of her begins to just accept this is how things are.

🟣 Ultimately, though, she does still try to help you from running into things. Her Serviper is enlisted to help guide you, too. The serpent rushes over to drag you away from a door frame that you were talking too close to. She also finds herself pulling you into her side to help you keep balance. With her aid, the sheer amount of bruises does shrink. It gives her some peace of mind. Until she lets her guard drop again, and you somehow manage to both bump into a wall before stumbling over directly into a chair. Then she sits quietly, holding her drink and squinting her eyes. The game had been rigged since the beginning.

🌕 The bruises trigger her concern instantly as both your superior and your girlfriend. Did you gain these on a survey? What had caused them? She is truly ready to pull out her sword and show whatever dared put you in such a state, a terrifying visage of the Survey Corps Captain… Until she learns that the culprit was none other than yourself. She pinches the bridge of her nose and lowers her head when she learns that you had gathered them all by essentially tripping over things and running into various obstacles out in the wilds and in town. Her concern feels wasted… But, she desperately now wants to help you stop experiencing this issue.

🌕 Her concern comes in making sure you have well-fitted shoes, assuming that to be the main culprit of your clumsiness. Alas, that only helped a bit. She raises her head up from the paperwork on the desk before her when a loud thud rung out in the air. She then spies you holding your arm, having run into the door frame of her office. Her gaze narrows. How…? It was a double-wide entry… Just… She can only blink and ask if you need the infirmary, pointing to the connecting door in her office. When you say no, she only sighs. This was truly a situation… What if this got you hurt on a survey? She shuddered to think about you stumbling over while fighting a frenzied noble.

🌕 Her quest to help you become more balanced begins and ends quickly. She makes you do walking exercises and training moves with you to help improve your area awareness and movement. It seemed to be going well at first, and she felt immense relief that she would not have to deal with a report that would break her heart due to your clumsiness. This, however, was proven wrong when you went out on a survey to the highlands with Laventon and came back covered in bruises. She felt like banging her head on her desk. This was impossible. She was not one to admit defeat, but she could tell when something was a useless endeavour. In the end, she just asks you to please be more careful. For her sanity, you should try. She is about to act like her descendant on a certain mountain if you do not.

🟤 Rika was enjoying a coffee while cuddling with her Clodsire when she watched you walk right into the coffee table. She instantly jumped up with wide eyes to check on you. Whatever instinct she had from watching Poppy toddle around and run into things as small children do entered her mind. This is when she discovers that this is a relatively common event in your life and lets out a sigh. How in the world did you make it through life? It was bewildering, truthfully. You just shrugged it off as life. She almost wants to, but the sheer number of bruises makes her rethink it. Really… How did Poppy have more balance than you?

🟤 Her plans are to help you become more aware of your surroundings, assuming that was the main culprit. She knows another person who often gets distracted and runs into things, so she asks you to keep yourself aware whenever you walk around. Just keep your eyes on the space surrounding you, she says. This seems to fix it – until she watches you trip over your own feet and only narrowly catch yourself on a chair nearby. Red eyes are shot wide as she debates how that was possible? Your shoes seemed to fit you well... Right? They were not anything that were tripping hazards, either. Somehow, her mind goes back to her Clodsire when it was a Wooper that would stumble over itself. It… was kind of cute... She has to stop herself from thinking that. This could be dangerous. Right…?

🟤 Her solution is a simple one. An agreeable one, to her. She keeps you close to her when you two walk around in public to help keep down the number of incidents. If you start to trip over your feet? She is right there to catch you and help laugh it off. Honestly, it bothers her a lot less than it should. Everything about it seems to be more of a curse than anything you can control. She is more than happy to give you a hand to get around. To her, it really is just cute. She knows it really should not be, but there is something adorable about you being a bit helpless. And… She is not the type to complain about having to be close to her partner. Having you pressed to her side is a non-issue to her. Oh, and if you do ever get a bruise in front of her, she will start to jokingly kiss it better. (You claim they go away faster when she does that. She just rolls her eyes in response.)

GE Saeran may not be the perfect partner, but to be honest, I don't think we can quantify anyone as a "perfect partner".

Relationships are about working, learning, and growing together. Sometimes you'll say something really dumb or misunderstand your partner without meaning to, and sometimes you'll do something like peel an orange for your lover without needing to be asked because you love helping them!

It's very normal to have a relationship that flows like a river, seeming fast and slow at times, moving through rocks, fish, and sticks, too.

Now, don't let that make you think it's healthy to argument with your partner all the time. Disagreements are healthy in a relationship but not full-blown arguments and spats. You're two different people, even if you love each other, you will run into a wall sometimes, and you get moments where you learn how to concede, compromise, and adapt if and when it comes to that. There's a balance, you're looking for some kind of harmony in your partnership, but it won't always be perfect.

It isn't healthy to assume it's sunshine and roses every day, just like it isn't healthy to assume it's doom and gloom every second. It's about two or more people coming together to make it work, and as long as you have that, as long as you have communication, your relationship will thank you for it. The cornerstone of a relationship hinges on your ability to communicate your needs. If you fall to meet that, it will end up crumbling in some way, shape, or form.

So, what do I think would be unhealthy for Saeran? Well, let's blow this one out of the bag already since this seems to be a problem for many people who talk about Saeran and MC. Did you guys know in the game, V/Rika and Saeran/MC are written to to be foils? Most of all, especially in the case of Ray Route and the RAE. There's a line in which we need to draw when it comes to unhealthy attachment and dependency.

V and Rika? Codependent. They have a hard time functioning without the other even if they're both well-aware they're horrible for the other by the end. Rika feels like she needs V around no matter how much she screams in agony that she hates him because he is her Savior, her God, and her light. V feels like he needs to keep protecting Rika, in part because he doesn't want to hurt someone like he thinks he did to his mother, but because he promised her he would.

Saeran and MC? NOT CODEPENDENT. Saeran and MC work side by side, communicate, and make decisions based on what feels right to them. Saeran's actions don't hinge upon MC telling him what to do in the moment. He asks them for input but he isn't bound by it. MC isn't demanding Saeran do what they want. They tell him to think about all the options he has, and he considers what he wants before they talk it out, discussing pros and cons for everything.

The game lays this out very plainly but some people miss the point in the fact that these dynamics are meant to foil one another and show two sides of the situation and where a dynamic can be healthy and... well, where it goes wrong. Saeran and MC don't need each other to be able to function in life, but V and Rika... they have a hard time with that.

Codependency vs Interdependency.

So, with that being said, what do I think Saeran might deal with in a relationship that's not healthy, but could be worked on?

I think GE Saeran's core struggle will be trying to find a sense of individuality.

But, this is something he's already talked about in the game, and it's something he's willing to work on every day for the rest of his life. It isn't surprising to know that he values the comfort of those around him more than he values himself, but he's learning how to accept that his needs and wants matter just as much. So it's not as if this is going to be something that's happening for a long time since he's already well aware of it, but it's good to point out that it's not only something that he needs to be aware of, but you do, as well. You don't want him to focus on just what you want in life, after all.

I have a hard time imagining him struggling with most things that many people do in relationships just because he's so dedicated to working on himself and being aware of the problems that may spring up within him—it makes it hard to say something that could be toxic. His willingness to be better and to communicate squashes so many traits that can make somebody do something toxic, willfully or not.

Since communication is a cornerstone of any relationship, if there were any problems, he would work on them, and that reduces a lot of the expected "toxic" traits you see. It's so hard for me to say, "Well, he may do this or that," when I know the minute you said something, he would be researching and learning how to curb a bad behavior. He's not trying to be willfully cruel, after all!

Saeran's not perfect, is my point, but if there were any problems, he would work on them.

You guys make the most of it though, you go to a flower shoppe and yuuta buys you a bouquet of white Lillies and blue carnations. You picked them, the florist was quite intrigued by the flower choice.

You guys walk around jujutsu high after hours and talk about how you both lost people close to you, but are happy to have eachother now.

Rika wasn’t too fond of you at first but every supporting of you and Yuuta. You both make an effort to give her individual gifts as a token of appreciation.

Rika tells yuuta she really likes you if he does, sometimes she won’t come out, or will linger to see how you two are doing.

You and Rika agreed that your love for Yuuta and your willingness to want to protect him are worth bonding over.

Yuuta really appreciates that you can see through him and get to Rika when he sometimes cannot.

Intimacy was somewhat confusing at first. Neither of you wanted to make rika uncomfortable, but you didn’t want to tell her to go away either.

You both took the time to comfort rika and in exchange, she would leave for a while until you guys were done.

Overall, Makima will find it fascinating to watch you play and might even show interest in some of the games you play. Maybe even play some of them herself, but she won't make it a habit.

hi i’m the anon that asked about the calls! thank u so much for uploading them ur the best <3 also i wanted to ask u something else… sorry i know ur on another hyperfixation right now hehe but i love ur takes and i’d love to hear your opinion on smth!! i’m replaying mysmes for the first time in aaages, and i’m paying more attention to the story this time around and what i wanted your opinion was on a call from jumin’s route on day 6… it’s the call where jumin mentions he sees mc in his dream and mc asks him if he’s sure it’s her. jumin says something about his relationship experience and how he can’t even remember the name of people he saw in the past and then goes on to say he doesn’t even know if you can even say he saw them

so i was thinking about what exactly the last part meant. like i just don’t see him willingly trying to connect with women in a personal capacity on any level, let alone romantic because:

1. in one of the the deep story pre-route chats, jaehee mentions that jumin is straight up not interested in women or relationships, he tends to avoid women and that she’s never even seen him going on a date

2. his shitty parent no 1 carolyn, shitty parent no 2 chairman han, his stepmother (srlsly the way she talked to jumin in that one story mode does not sit well with me??? like that “i’ll comfort you real well” sounds very very wrong but it could also be a bad translation? i hope it’s a bad a translation) and all the women throwing themselves at him and just straight up saying inappropriate things to his face

3. the story mode in which he says that rika was the first woman who made him feel comfortable and that all the other women he met before her just used to flatter him

4. and with the way he thinks… considering he’s not interested in relationships… he’d probs view dating as like inefficient or an unproductive use of his time since it won’t lead to anything lmao that ceo mindset yk

I've actually always been kind of confused fascinated by that call too, and I would love if he had elaborated more because we're definitely on a similar page here and you make the same points I would have in regard to his blatant lack of interesting in dating and relationships.

I will say I find it interesting how despite him being the one to bring up his dating history the things he says are actually incredibly unclear? a while back I wondered if it was one of those little things that gets sort of lost in translation, but he's really vague in Korean too. he is talking generally about people he has 'met' before, 예전에 만난 사람, which like 'saw' in english can be perceived in the sense of dating depending on the context of the rest of the conversation but can just as frequently be literal and have no further implication. it almost seems like he's trying to talk around the fact he's never been in a relationship, or otherwise keep it vague, which I suppose makes sense considering he follows it with "the past is the past" and is very consistent elsewhere, too, in feeling like only the present matters. to add to that, if you tell him you thought he had never been in a relationship before after this he is still incredible vague in his response and dodges really making a direct comment. he just says he's not bound by the past and reiterates that he wants to focus on the present. for someone who was typically so no-nonsense until it came to MC, dare I say it reads a little bit like he's nervous that you might judge him if he directly confirms that he has/not been in a relationship before but doesn't want you to feel as if he's trying to keep things from you.

anyway, either of your suggestions are plausible imo! it's difficult to gage if he would even consider women he charms to get them to sign contracts as part of the conversation, but since he does specify he's not sure if they even count that adds up. I have also always thought it somewhat likely that Jumin's father has at least attempted to set him up with women before given that he's almost thirty and the sole heir to the company. considering his genuine hurt around the Sarah situation I think it was probably not something that had been touched on in that particular way before, but instead a sort of "my friend has a daughter your age" situation, or an awkward "come meet my friend and his daughter" dinner. I also don't think it's entirely off the table that he went on a date or two (maybe even slept with someone) while he was at university but got nothing out of it, and that could be what he's referring to. given he can't even remember their name(s) I think it must be the case that it happened a fairly long time ago and meant very little to him, whatever the situation may have been.

Rank the compatibility in real life of the DN couples. Suppose if they were not based in Thunder Bay which was their "playground ", would the dynamics change... like if Banks and Emmy were on financially equal level with Kai and Will... would the stories still play out the same way?

hmmm. That's a difficult one because you're asking to change some of the fundamentals of the characters. At the same time, there's an element of 'fated', as there usually is with these types of stories. There's no logical reason that as a three-year-old, Michael would be completely obsessed with a new born and remain obsessed for the rest of his life. So, of course changing some of the fundamentals is going to change some of their compatibility. But. . .

Kai and Banks are probably the most compatible, removing them from the circumstances of the story. At their core, Kai likes to hunt and Banks wants to feel wanted and desired. Whatever else is going on with them, that will always be true. Kai and Banks also have had the most change in their circumstances. Both had a life in Meridian, a much larger city, before coming to Thunder Bay, and both had a period in life when they didn't have money. So changing either of these things would be something they could roll with. Taking them real world, I think they'd be fine.

But i now love the idea that even in Meridian, even without money, these two would have found each other. In the bonus scene, Kai mentioned that he went to a party in Meridian. That's the perfect set up for an au.

Removing the abuse, the financial inequality, I still think Will and Emory are compatible. They fall into the golden retriever bf/black cat gf, or as it's known in the real world: the classic extrovert/introvert couple. This is a very real dynamic and usually works pretty well. I've talked about how Will is more of a nerd than he appears. They're both movie lovers, both like adventures, and are artistic. Giving Emory less of a reason to be angry and defensive just means they get together even sooner and without the drama. Check out my high school willemmy headcanons because I think they're fun.

Rika and Michael are you're typical power couple. Both rich, both did fine outside of Thunder Bay, both have degrees in business. They don't need the town to make them work, they just do. Not really understand Rika and Michael means that I don't get what makes them compatible, but I don't think they have many incompatibilities. They're the most basic of all the couples. Still, that compatibility is not enough to keep them together. I think they might suffer from Michael's ambition and Rika's lack of direct but refusal to be controlled. Taking away the obsession aspect between them, the friction might be too much for them to survive in the real world, but not impossible.

Damon and Winter need Thunder Bay the most to make them work. You start removing the foundation of their story, they start to crumble.

Part of Damon's obsession is because of their interaction as children. But if Damon's not being abused, if his father throwing his weight around a small town and intimidating the other families, Damon is not hiding in a fountain and Winter has nothing to teach him. If she's not blind, she doesn't get sent away and then she's not brought back to be the shiny new thing in TBP. At that point they're more similar to Rika and Michael, in that they grew up watching each other. But even removing the town dynamic, Gabriel is still Gabriel and Damon a Dark Prince and Winter his ballerina. I think they'd be a couple that worked, but you wouldn't know why just by looking at them. On the surface, they're incompatible. However, Winter being a successful ballerina might take her away before they could really fall for each other, and if Thunder Bay isn't a place that Damon has a particular draw to, he might not be inclined to stay. It brings their relationship and it's longevity into question.

I try not to let my biases get in the way, but having a better understanding of Willemmy and KaiBanks is kinda why I like them more, so it's probably inevitable that it seeped in. I'd be interested in knowing how other people are ranking their compatibility as real world couples.

All the ocs are low key gf/bf with eachother too! But just casually!

Review: Juntos, El Corazón Nunca Se Equivoca (U.S.A version-ep 10)

Here is my review for episode 10 (aired 8/26/19)

Originally episodes part of 13, 14 and part of 15-pretty sure they combined all 3 eps.

1. Cut: When Ari, Temo, Deigo y Arqui first arrive at the pool. Ari tells Temo y Deigo if he could have a moment with his brother. Also, the part when Arqui holding hands with Ari.

2. Edited: The walk/talk Carlota has with her dad before Thiago sings to her.

3. Edited: The conversation Dora y Elsa have about Olegario's mom. Elsa says she has seen a picture of his mom but doesn't remember her face (or something like that). Dora turns around and has a worried look on her face.

3. Cut: Temo y Deigo playing soccer and Temo is telling him the conversation he had with Ari (about adopting Arqui). Arqui kicks the ball into Dora y Nora's window. Dora sees this and ask who did it. Arqui points at Temo y Deigo. Pancho sees this & says he will fix the window.

4. Cut: When Temo, Ari, Diego, Eduardo, Pancho and Arquímedes are at Dora's apartment. She asks them if she could spend more time with Arqui. Eduardo says yes, and Arqui leaves to wash his hands. When he does that, he steals the toy car (but they don't show it).

5. Cut: The conversation between Pancho and Temo about adoption. And the hug Pancho gives Temo.

6. Cut: When Pancho, Audifaz, Eduardo, Temo, Ari and Arquímedes are putting a puzzle together and Pancho gives them a check. Ari doesn't want to accept but his dad tells him to and to think of it as a loan. He accepts and promises to pay it back. Also, they cut out the Uber app scene too.

Edited: Before: Uldado y Caballero are talking about Elsa signing those papers and Uldado saying Elsa has already paid with blood.

7. Edited: A few seconds of Carlota being in Andrés's room. She starts playing with the piano and his spirit talks to her. He leads her hand to the piano key with the flash drive.

8. Edited: When Diego and Soledad come back from shopping. They talk about Ubaldo and Diego mentions he wants to die his hair to blonde.

At least they kept the "KE RIKA AWA" but they edited a few seconds of Ubaldo getting another glass of water.

9. Cut: The whole dinner scene at Dora's apartment. She tells Ari y Temo she will never accept their relationship. And Nora comes back from the store and joins them for dinner (also, she puts away the letter from B). Also they cut when Nora goes over Deigo's apartment to go out with Soledad for coffee (before she left -Nora tells Dora).

10. Cut: Ubaldo calls Mateo. Mateo is at a coffee shop and his girlfriend comes and tries to kiss him. He tells her no & that's when Ubaldo calls. Also, his gf catches him watching the video "Amor Valiente"

12. Cut: When Ubaldo walks in on Nora y Soledad dancing ( flashback on their 60's clothes)

13. Cut: I'm happy they cut this part out. When the roomies are having a sleepover party with themselves.

14. Cut: After Diego talks with Dora, he goes back to the apartment and asks his friends if they can hug him.

15. Cut: When Eduardo tries to get Arqui to go to sleep and he tells him the story about his make believe friends. That's why Arqui says there are 4 people at the table.

Edited: a few seconds when Olegario visits Dora and talk.

OMG! They got rid of the 1st MATIEGO SCENE! WHY! 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬

I don't remember anything else after that. I'm mad about the Matiego scene.

Now, they sooo edited a lot out of these episodes. They literally combined the ending of 13 and combined episodes 14 & part of 15. Univision is ruining the novela for all US fans. But I will say this, as of now...the novela/the episodes aren't all about Carlota (like the original did). Also, they aren't showing as many Andrés scenes. The episodes are focusing more on Aristemo and their friends but the editing doesn't help.

✮synopsis: it was your 2nd monthsary with your gf Saori! As she visits your place, she notices you talking to you.. other.. companion..

✮contains: not much, other than second hand embarrassment🤷‍♀️

As you were doing your daily routine of talking to your feline friend, you were unaware of Saori who was standing by the door, watching, listening as you talked, once you acknowledge her existence you freaked out, so how did this happen excactly?

Saori knew you were that shy kid at school, everyone does, from child to young adult you were always shy, Saori would have to accompany you in every social gatherings, not that she hated it ofcourse.. Saori also knew that she was your safe space, meaning, you trusted Saori more than others, with Saori, you could be clingy, whiney, affectionate, touchy, etc. thats what made Saori think if herself as much special than others.

Today was your 2nd monthsary, Saori typically comes over to your place, now that she's free, she told her friends that she would be busy and cant attend practice.. thats okay though! They understand and let Saori go! Once Saori arrived to your place, she heard sounds of whispering, mumbling, sounds of someone talking.. did you have guests? That was.. unexpected.. whenever you invited someone, Saori would receive a text, saying how theres a guest on your place, Saori quietly opens the door, only to see you, and your cat... Talking?

"I.. just dont think a plushie will do justice.. she always buys me this.. amazing and nice gifts yet.. i buy her this.. do you think she'll like it..?" You ask your feline friend, who sleeps lazily like a potato on the sofa. "Meooow...!" You cat yawns, not understanding one bit. "I'll take that as a maybe.." you chuckle, turning your head back, only to see Saori standing there with a gift box.

"Eek! S-saori..! Since when did you get here..?!" You ask out of embarrassment, she could be here anytime she wants.. now was not a good timing. "A while ago.. listen.. (y/n) your gifts do matter.. even if its homemade, store brought or re-used item.. im still gonna love it" she assures you, walking over you to pat your shoulder. "I-i know.. the plushie was supposed to be a surprise when you get here.." you pouted, Saori only smiles reassuringly at you "thats okay, infact, im more eager to see your gift.." she sat down beside you and handed you your gift "happy monthsary love.!"

Bonus:

"L-love..?! Where did you learn that..? Thats.. unusual coming from you.." you mumbled under your breath, Saori chuckles awkwardly" hehe, Rika taught me.. also.. do you talk to your cat everyday?" She asks, you simply nodded "yeah.. whenever im lost or confused, she somehow helped me.."you mutter as you pet your cat, your cat purring in satisfaction, Saori only smiles and pets your cat aswell

EXACTLY!!!! Because why do we always get to see alex and will bond on page, eswpcially when they were being physically intimate with each other, but will emmy always had to bond off page, or only in passing? Even when they mention about swimming together, it's not like we get to see this scene happening, we just knew that it would happen. Even worse is Emmy is not rika, so we knew already that even in other charactersl povs she'll always just lurk in the background, as will's wife or someone's sister/friend and not get as much attention by pd or the characters themself. Idk these frustrate me so much.

And other will alex scenes that i hate was when alex was showering and will was watching her while thinking about emmy + the scene where alex was sleeping in will's bed and emmy was sleeping beside them as if SHE was the thirdwheeler in HER OWN BOOK, being all sad thinking alex was will's gf. And then they woke up and emmy still had to comfort alex only for alex to call her a coward? GTFO MY FACE BFFR. Or when alex was slandering emmy in the train and will just watched without standing by her side and stop alex. Funny how he always complain about emmy not standing by his side and compare em to alex, as if will ever stood by em's side through everything either 🙄 he can go fuck himself for all i care tbh. My heart broke for emmy, i hated will and alex so much then. They both should've just ended up together and rot in hell forever idc idc

This is one of my main gripes and pet peeves too. After a certain point, it’s just not about Emory any more, but Alex is still brought up.

The one scene I think is most guilty of this is the one in the hospital, when the boys refusing to let Aydin in. The whole scene is told from Emory’s point of view, but she doesn’t say anything. 3.5 pages where Emory doesn’t speak, just narrates the guys arguing with Aydin. It really isn’t her story.
