#riiiight after her vault hunter duel??

‘ hit or miss . . . i guess they never miss, huh ? ’

WAS SHE DREAMING? was she dead? maybe some semblance of both once that honey thick voice reaches beyond the ringing in her ears. she gasps and on instinct sits up regardless of the hands trying to hold her still, trying to avoid the agonizing pain that shoots through her body immediately after. nerves are on fire, her muscles ache, there’s this screaming noise in the back of her head. like going through the New-U station in reverse just to be spat back out again.  

bloodshot eyes try to focus through a glazed over vision to see multiple health vials scattered about and a few jutting out her chest. a slightly intrigued tilt of her head confirms another shoved into her neck. she tries to laugh and wheezes something close… well in her head, at least.

❝hmm guess they got me pretty good this go around.❞  the purr to that tone is overshadowed by a voice that’s nothing but a raspy whisper and there’s a slow twist of her tongue as she tries to loosen her jaw a bit; feels like sandpaper in her mouth. but a smile pulls at lips dried out and cracked under the hot sun while a rekindled flame ignites behind golden eyes.
