I am also welcoming feedback on this blog. What has worked well? Is there a specific post that was especially memorable? What didn't you like? Is there anything in particular you'd like to hear more about? I thank you in advance for this feedback - it is valuable to me and will help me to continue to improve.

I ask because I am considering retiring my AskBrassKnuckles Tumblr, in favour of my RiftwingDesigns site. There are pros and cons - right now I'm running 2 sites, which takes time. The BrassKnuckles one focuses on only motivational quotes and ponies, while @riftwingdesigns has my nerd hobbies, crafts, and art, as well. It also follows my brand, whereas BrassKnuckles is specific to the My Little Pony fandom. Do you have thoughts about this? Please reply or message me and let me know. Custom dragon skull pipe for @riftwingdesigns 🖤💚🐲💀💚🖤 I’m stoked on how this came out but of course I forgot to take pictures of the coolest part before I sent it out 🤦‍♀️- the horns glow green in the dark! I really appreciate Gretchen being so patient with me while I struggled with some mental health stuff and took a super long time to finish this piece. People with CPTSD and/or ADHD can all probably relate to getting stuck on a project. Executive dysfunction and “getting lost in the weeds” are definitely things I struggle with regularly that especially get worse the more stressed I am feeling in life. In this month’s “Designs for Confidence” newsletter, I interviewed Grand Prix Las Vegas 2013 Champion and Pro Tour magic player, Neal Oliver! The full article is available by e-mail; please send me a note if you’d like to sign up!

Neal provided the following outline to find success. While it worked for him, remember that everyone is different. Use this if it works for you.

Figure out what it is that your dream is

Figure out the feasibility of reaching that dream

If it is feasible (even if it's difficult) start to plan the initial steps to reach that dream

Don't expect a pathway to follow to the T. It doesn't work like that. Things come along. As long as you're willing to adjust, you're still going to realize that end goal.

Be flexible along the way and take any bad things as opportunities to improve the path instead.

Little goals along the way are great and can help you to achieve what you're trying to do

Patience is key. You will find a lot of snags along the way – everyone odes.

 At the first sign of failure, don't be upset. Sometimes you have to try a lot before you get it right.

Flexibility: Be prepared to adjust, pivot, or ask for help to find the right direction.

Some tasks take a long time. Decide if you should cut your losses and move on. (Is what you were trying correct? Did it help you realize that you should try something else?)

 Never fully stop your progress. That's when you stop improving.

Find joy in every day as you go along the way and it'll make it a whole lot easier.
