EPIC MEETING BETWEEN GRUVIANS!

Me and @rieriebee met in Rome after years of being in the gruvia fandom together; we shared tears, joy, anger, fanwars! But we never doubted Gray’s feelings and we are so ready for Gruvia to be married: we know it will happen.

These days were unforgettable.

Our meeting also seems to have awakened the dark side of gruvia haters… sadly, we had already said goodbye! It would have been such a good show!

I have small question for you. I know you said that during the 2015 nyyc comic con panel you met Kishimoto and asked him a question about Hinata receiving Hamura's chakra and whether it's permanent and if it amplified her powers and he said yes to both. While I, and many other Hinata fans, do believe you, unfortunately most people (let's be honest antis) would never acknowledge this purely by statement so is there a video evidence of this? If I look up nyc comic con panel kishimoto full length video can I expect to hear your question being asked to Kishimoto? This is only for to shut antis down and nothing else 😁

Unfortunately no, there’s no video. This was at a signing at a japanese bookstore near Times Square, and they did not allow pictures or recording. The best we have is a shot @rieriebee sneaked before she asked her question.

At this point who gives a flying fuck if an anti doesn’t believe it. It happened, its real and its a fact. The chances of Hinata actually getting a chance to show it off now is admittedly very slim so it doesn’t matter one way or the other.

Analysis of Towa and the Tree of Ages

So I had an interesting discussion with the Discord community, and we were able to pinpoint an interesting observation regarding Towa and the tree of ages. 

In Episode 2, Towa was sucked into the tree of ages when she was four. This can be seen in the screenshot taken from the anime, where Towa stands behind a tree that is larger than all the surrounding trees in the area.

This is also seen in the initial backstories of the twins when Yashahime was first announced which when translated by @rieriebee​ and @miggyxmarie on Tumblr and Twitter respectively states that Towa was sucked through the ‘time tree tunnel.’ By now, we’re in Episode 4 and we have a better understanding of how the girls are travelling through the Tree of Ages, which is influenced by both Roothead and the pearls.

It causes the question to unfold. Exactly where was this forest where Setsuna and Towa were being raised? The only Tree of Ages that we know the location for sure so far for sure is the Tree of Ages in Inuyasha forest. However, it’s just too close with the village. Does that mean that Setsuna and Towa were also raised in the village? But what about what Kaede said in Episode 3 where she saw Sesshomaru take the children as newborns and disappear? 

If the theory that Setsuna and Towa were being raised in Inuyasha forest is true, that means that this adds on to the theory where Setsuna and Towa were raised by their parents along with Inuyasha and the others. There was an initial theory where everybody else were animals, and Towa/Setsuna just does not remember this. It could also explain why Moroha remembers Sesshomaru by scent, despite never meeting him before. They were all raised together at some point in the village, until an event caused all of them to be separated when they were four. Note that the age of four is emphasized a lot by the creators, indicating that something big happened when they were all around that age.  

A contradiction right now is that nobody remembers Rin/Sesshomaru, including Kaede and Kohaku. It would be part of the curse which has placed Rin inside the tree--nobody human remembers her, at least so far. We now know that Kohaku isn’t really helping in terms of backstory, and Kaede has given a possible misleading theory where Sesshomaru takes the kids when they are first born. This is especially confusing, which would hopefully be revealed as more episodes pass.  

This leads me to think that everybody is separated into different timelines. While the Tree of Ages made a portal to send Towa back in the past, Inuyasha and Kagome could be transported to some different timeline, thus effectively splitting everybody up. 

If this isn’t possible, it leads to the theory that there are multiple tree of ages. @/mae in Discord suggested this based on the first Inuyasha movie, where Hyogya used the Tree of Ages and it collapsed at the end of the battle when he lost. But still, this theory does not have much evidence into it. 

Of course, there’s not too much information yet for anything concrete to be formed, but I just wanted to point out this observation. It could still be a month before we get more concrete information. 

Eitherways, we can just continue to enjoy watching Hanyou no Yashahime.

Writer's Corner: OKAY, I've become addicted to Twice (Korean Girl Group) and their songs and instead of studying, I ended up writing this.

See the girl sitting on the bench alone, outside in the rain? That's Juvia Lockser. Twenty-five years old. Only child, heiress to the multimedia giant - Lockser Creatives. No experience in love. But why is she sitting alone on the bench under this heavy rainpour? Because that's what she saw on tv last night - the main girl waiting for her prince charming in the middle of a storm. So, Juvia figured, a heavy rainpour wasn't so different from a thunderstorm, right?

Was she waiting for someone? She kinda was. Did that person know she was waiting for him? He kinda didn't. You see, Juvia Lockser had experience in neither romantic nor sexual love. Friendship? She got a few real ones. Familial? There was nothing Juvia could ever ask for. But romantic? Her doting father made sure no one was ever enough for his only daughter. So here lies Juvia Lockser's quintessential problem, what even was romantic love?

She had no idea except for those she read from books and watched from movies. But, in a second now, Juvia Lockser was about to find out.

"Gray Fullbuster!" She called after the guy who just came out of the highrise building right in front of the bench where she waited.

Juvia stood from her seat and walked over to the man donned in a thick, dark coat, leading a group of people who came out with him from the Fullbuster Inc. Building. All eyes were on the young heiress, studying her movements. Her hips commanded attention and swayed in confidence as she approached the unknowing group. Juvia's ocean eyes were trained at the young man who had a honey-haired assistant holding the umbrella for him. He didn't look happy.

Gray Fullbuster looked genuinely surprised finding her there, an unwelcomed guest.

"What are you doing here?" He sharply questioned, irritation knitting his brows together.

She didn't say anything. Instead, Juvia Lockser raised a corner of her mouth, a dubious intention lurking in the way she slanted her smile. Then, she dropped her pink umbrella, the rain quickly drenching her wavy blue hair and furry pink coat. Without warning, Juvia grabbed the collar of Gray's thick navy blue jacket, jerking him down whilst she tiptoed to reach his height and then, kissed him. Right in front of Gray's whole managerial team, Juvia Lockser, his fiancee, pressed her lips against his.

His hands found her shoulders and shoved her back into the rain.

"Are you out of your mind?" He was furious, to say the least, passing his lips on the sleeve of his coat.

Juvia answered. "Maybe." She aimed for another kiss but this time, Gray was prepared.

"Get out of my way, Monkey." He easily sidestepped the woman. "Stop wasting everyone's time." He signaled Loke, his loyal assistant, to move along. His other team members, on the other hand, seemed rooted to their places; flustered on behalf of the Big Boss and yet to recover from what they all just witnessed.

Juvia didn't take offense from his 'endearment'. He never used her real name. But that never deterred her spirits. They have the rest of their lives for Gray to learn her name. Juvia spun around, shouting over the rain after Gray, who was barely a step away. "Hey!"

He jumped at the sudden call and turned around to shout back at her, "w-what?!"

Juvia, with a smug face on, pointed a finger at the man who had a permanent scowl on his face. His dark, sharp eyes crossed, meeting the end of Juvia's slender finger, to which Juvia caught on.

"Gray Fullbuster, I will make you mine." She confidently declared, then poked the confused Gray between his eyes. Taking advantage of his confusion, Juvia, once again, pressed a quick kiss on his lips before grabbing her abandoned umbrella on the ground and escaped before she hears another word from the grumpy man.

Gray, however, seemed to have forgotten the important meeting he was headed to before that clingy monkey showed up. He stood rooted on the ground, his above-average mind could not quite wrap itself around what just happened. Nor could it explain the way his heart beat along the pelting rain on his umbrella. He never quite met anyone like that monkey - insistent and persistent.

And a whole level of annoying.

"Man, I do all the work but you get the sugar?"

Gray pulled his attention away from the clingy heiress walking farther and farther away, and instead, directed his murderous glare at his useless assistant whose job it was to make sure Juvia Lockser could never get near him.

"What?" Loke raised his free hand in surrender. "I blacklisted her from the building. I can't block her from Magnolia, too. We don't own the streets, Your Greatness."

Gray gave him one last look before he fixed his collar and remembered his 10:00 AM appointment.

"Just get a restraining order." He suggested and he was quite serious about it too.

"Tried." Loke matched Gray's brisk steps. "Your father wants to talk to you about it." Loke almost collided against his grumpy boss when Gray stopped dead in his tracks at the mention of his father. Apparently, for that woman, Silver Fullbuster was willing to make time.

Gray didn't have to ask for Loke to explain, his homicidal glare asked for him but Loke, getting sandwiched between the 'my word is the law' Silver and this 'I'm so serious I forgot to have fun' second son, could only answer his boss with a shrug. It was hopeless. Gray's narrowed eyes returned to where the annoying monkey disappeared earlier.

"She's going to ruin my life."

"Or improve it. But hey, we're not here for that." Loke nudged his boss forward, towards the building opposite theirs before the irate young man caught on to what he just said. "We got a billion-dollar deal to nail."

Working for the uptight second son for almost half his life, Loke knew that money was the only thing that could stretch that mouth into an actual smile. And save his ass for today.

"You're right." Gray's mood had quickly bettered. "Let's put this one to bed."

He threw one last glance at the direction where he last saw the annoying monkey.

"I'll deal with that pest later myself."

Loke kept it to himself, knowing it was hard to look for another job in this economy but he wondered if his boss, Gray Almighty, was going to put that one to bed too.

Serious questions: (it's a two-parter):

1) Did Kishi ever actually say that either Sakura would be a terrible woman for moving on from Sasuke, or Sakura would be a terrible woman specifically for moving on from Sasuke so suddenly (the latter of which we know she tried to pull off to Naruto, but thankfully he and everyone else present knew she was BSing AF the entire time)?

2) Did Kishi ever even say this in an official interview? To be clearer: did Kishi ever say this in an interview that was officially translated, or did this come from an illegal and dubious fan translation?

Hahaha for sure. If people are really interested in why we love Gruvia they can easily read pro-Gruvia posts. We Gruvia fans don't wish to engage in discussion with haters because 1) the manga does the talking for us, 2) no minds will be changed, making it pointless, and 3) it's the same BULLSHIT they have been spewing for 8-10 years now lol. We have literally countered it all already. The MANGA has countered it all. It gets tiring repeating yourself. What it comes down to is preference, simple as that. These are the same people that say Gruvia makes "no sense" yet steal our official art and moments and edit them into their shitty crack ships. I can't even lol. Gray loves Juvia.  Juvia loves Gray. Pass it on. 🥴

Hi, I was just wondering: do you also think that Gruvia will be the first of the big 4 to get married? I always thought so because I can't imagine it to be Gajevy (they already got the baby down) and Gruvia seems to be closest to getting in an official relationship/marriage. I also think that Gray might even ask her to marry him immediately instead of them being in a relationship bc she's just the girl for him. 😍

Yes!!! I think and hope so! Why? Because it makes sense. Gray said he would make Juvia his, and it’s set up for an official proposal. There’s a good thread on twitter by @rieriebee about this set up with references from other series, you should read it! Also it’s a very “Gray thing” to do, because he’s taking his relationship with Juvia veeery seriously.

I am trying to keep my expectations low but I am hoping for a proposal!

“Storm, please come back and put your coat back on! For Mama!” Juvia pleaded, seeing her son sprint through the guild hall, who had already gone full commando. She loved her son more than anything, but sometimes, all she wanted was for her son to keep his clothes on for more than 10 minutes, at least outside their house.

“Mom, no. It’s so hot out here!” the royal blue-haired boy lamented, a pout forming on his face. “Besides, you and dad also do it all the time. So why shouldn’t I?” the five-year-old questioned the Water Mage, while still naked, much to the chagrin of everyone present.

As soon as the boy’s words left his mouth, Juvia’s mind was struggling to find an answer, not hearing her husband’s footsteps approaching.

“Because, Storm,” Gray argued, “some people do not like to see others like this. I know you’ve seen me and your mother do this quite often, but that doesn’t mean you should do it as well. Please, try and control yourself during this trip. You want to visit the zoo with the others, don’t you?” the Ice Mage asked his son, as he was already tucking his minuscule feet in his boots, while listening to his father’s scolding.

“Yes, dad…” Storm paltered, his signature scowl adorning his face. “I’ll try not to lose my coat this time.” the boy rolled his eyes, as Gray and Juvia nodded approvingly.

“Good. Now let your mom hug you and you’re ready!” Gray replied, and as soon as Juvia was done arranging his white fur collar, she wrapped her arms around her son, crying her heart out.

“Juvia will miss you so much, baby! Don’t forget to drink enough water,and.. don’t go too close to the cages and… please… Stay next to Natsu and Lucy!” she managed to say through her sobs.

“Mom, it’s just a one-day trip to the zoo! I’m not leaving for good.” Storm remarked, while Juvia was squeezing him a bit too hard for his own liking; something he had definitely inherited from his father.

Gray finally untangled his son from his wife’s grasp, and started waving his way, as the boy was racing towards the small group of six children, waving back to his parents. Juvia proceeded to do the same, tears still flooding her eyes.

As the group was exiting the guild hall, Juvia finally took her husband’s arm in hers, not daring to intertwine their fingers; he was still not used to public displays of affection. After the children were out of their sight, Gray and Juvia decided it was time they left home.

Soon after they arrived to their seaside penthouse, Gray kicked his boots out of his feet, while Juvia did the same. She still had tears in her eyes, but the sobs had subsided on the way home.

“Juvia, he’s coming back tomorrow; he’s not gone for good. Besides, Lucy is gonna take care of him.” he grimaced as he heard his wife mutter “Love Rival” underneath her breath. She still isn’t over with this, is she? After a deep breath, she finally managed to give him an answer.

“You are right, darling. But Natsu will be there too, won’t he?” she asked Gray in confusion.

“Like I said, Lucy is gonna take care of him. And he’s a big boy. Besides, there would be no way I would let Storm with that pyro head alone!” he snarled, while he shot a glare at a giggling Juvia. At least she was feeling better now.

“This is true. Sometimes, Juvia wonders who is more of a child: Storm or Natsu. So that makes 8 kids for Lucy to take care of today.” she snorted, while hearing Gray laugh out loud.

“No truer words have been spoken. So…We’re alone for a whole day.” Gray implied, not hesitating to make eye contact with Juvia. “Do you have any plans?”

“Eh? What do you mean by that, Gray?” Juvia teased him as she put her hands on his shoulders, already knowing her husband’s answer.

“Well… Here we are. Just the two of us, in this empty house. No kid, no annoying guildmates…” he orated, while undoing the ribbon above her chest.

“Mmm… is that all?” Juvia smirked, all while her hands found the zipper that kept Gray’s jacket closed, and slowly unzipped it.

“Aaaaaaand… It’s been a while since we had some quality time.” Gray winked, earning a violent blush for Juvia. Works every time, he told himself, as he started unbuttoning her shirt.

“It’s true that Juvia did neglect her darling quite a lot these days. Now,” she whispered, as she closed the distance between them, “let her atone for this deadly sin.” she tiptoed, so she could see the darkening gaze of her beloved, and captured his mouth in a chaste kiss.

“Well, it is quite impolite to refuse a beautiful woman, so I have to endure this.” he grinned, as he pulled her against his chest, kissing her plump, rose lips. That day was going to be good.

Juvia’s back met the cushions of their living room couch, with Gray on top of her, raising up her chin, so he could give her one more passionate kiss. She happily reciprocated, as her hands were wandering on his now naked back, their tops and his pants long forgotten.

However, Gray and Juvia’s focus was solely on each other, so they failed to hear the door opening, and some tiny footsteps. “Sorry, I forgot my water bottle—” It was all Storm managed to say, before he saw his parents almost naked, his dad on top of his dear momma. As soon as their eyes met their son’s, the two mages quickly separated, seeing the horrified look on the little boy’s face.

“I… I… YOU GUYS ARE THE WORST!!!” Storm hollered, as raced to the door as fast as his tiny legs could, his face so red, it could rival his Aunt Erza’s hair.

“Storm!” Juvia tried to reach him, to no avail. “Gray, what did we do?!” she turned the Ice Mage’s way. “We traumatized our son for life! What if he doesn’t wanna come home anymore?!” Juvia’s eyes were now drowning in tears. Gray grimaced. “What are we gonna tell him if he comes back?”

“I’d say we taught him about the birds and the bees in a more… uncommon way. He was going to know about this sooner or later.” he shrugged, a smirk on his face.

“GRAY!” Juvia slapped his arm, while shotting him a glare. “Our son saw something that he should’ve never seen! What if he will never forgive us for this?” she let out a gasp, thoughts of their son drifting apart from them haunting her mind. “What if he doesn’t want to be our son anymore?!”

“Juvia, it’s fine. He might be scarred for a while, but he won’t do stuff like that. Besides, I’m sure he won’t tell anyone about it.” Gray assured his wife, their quality time now ruined.

How wrong he was, though.

As Storm finally arrived close to the meeting spot, he finally took a break, panting and sweating, he finally sat down on the bank of the channel, whose water flew freely. Most of the time, water made him smile, because it reminded him of his sweet, innocent mother. But as he took a glimpse of it, he felt blood rushing into his cheeks once again, and he quickly put his palms on them, so he could try and freeze them before someone noticed.

“Oi, Storm. We’re leaving soon.” Natsu was coming his way. This wasn’t good at all. Storm liked Natsu the most, out of all the people in the Guild. And the Fire Dragon Slayer also thought of the cobalt-haired boy as “the only thing related to Gray that he could tolerate”. If Natsu found out… Oh, Mavis.

“C-Coming!” Storm replied, still shook by the images that were now dug deep inside his brain.

“What’s going on, Sleepy Eyes? You’ve been staring at the water for a long time.” The pink-haired man finally asked, after he saw the child stare at the water for too long.

“I-It’s nothing. I-I’m fine.” Storm babbled, avoiding eye contact. Everyone who knew him knew that these were signs of him lying. And Natsu did not fail to notice them.

“Did something happen? Did the Ice Princess do something to you?” he snarled. No one touches a kid of Fairy Tail and gets away with it! Not even a fellow member.

Storm tried to muffle a shriek, but Natsu was still able to hear it. As Lucy tried to call them, he told her to wait for a bit longer, and after some more persuading, Storm spilled it all out.

“That Ice Princess, doing stuff like this to Juvia in front of his kid!” Natsu mumbled. However, a light Lachyma lit up above his head.

“Well, Storm, your parents seem to suffer from a nasty disease called… Perv Syndrome! It all starts with taking of your clothes casually outside your home, then you take them off more regularly, and then you start doing weird things like those you said to me, and they become even worse over time,” Natsu explained, “It’s also extremely contagious, and those who contact it are called perverts.”

“WHAAAAAA?!” Storm replied, horror and scandal painted on his face. Sometimes, he’s so gullible, Natsu told to himself. “So I’m gonna be a pervert too?!”

“Yes, but there is a cure. However, the cure is so difficult to obtain, that not even the strongest can obtain it.” Natsu replied, having Storm’s attention. “You must stop taking your clothes off.”

“But how am I gonna bathe if I don’t take them off?” Storm frowned.

“Unless it’s because your needs, you must keep your clothes on, no matter what. This is the only cure to the Perv Syndrome!” Natsu lamented, making Storm frown even more.

“If this means I won’t do gross stuff, I’ll try my best.” He clenched his fists, a determined look adorning his pale face.

“We can even ask Freed to use a rune on you, if you want to.” The pink-haired man suggested, gaining a nod of approval from the five-year-old. “Now, let’s go and visit the zoo! Bet you’ll feel better after we arrive there,” Natsu grinned.

“Mmm… Can I have ice-cream there?” Storm asked, his eyes gleaming. He might’ve inherited Gray’s eye color, but he got their shape from Juvia.

“Sure thing, Hail Storm. Onward, to the land of the unknown!” he grabbed Storm and ran to the group. A small price for salvation.

BONUS:

“And this is why I don’t strip anymore.” a 19-year-old Storm Fullbuster finished his story about his journey of non-stripping.

“I knew Flame Brain was behind all of this!” Gray muttered under his breath, still enraged that Natsu had done this to his son. It’s been 14 years since he stopped stripping altogether, much to everyone’s shock, and the guild’s relief.

“So what if I am, Droopy Eyes?” Natsu snarled, earning a punch from his frenemy.

“Don’t get mixed up in family matters, Pointy Eyes! Especially if that family isn’t yours!” Gray replied, as the Dragon Slayer sent another punch at him, as Storm groaned at their interactions.

“So dad is the one responsible for you taking your coat off like, once a month.” The voice belonged to none other than Luna Dragneel. “You really were that gullible, huh?” she crossed her hands under her chest, staring at her iris-haired teammate.

“Sure looks like it. I learned about the birds and the bees in an unconventional way.” Storm laughed, but before he knew it, he felt Luna’s thumb and index finger flip his nose. “Ow!”

“You can’t say stuff like this out loud!” the pink-haired woman hissed at him, as Storm rolled his eyes. “Still, I can’t believe you saw Uncle Gray and Aunt Juvia do… things that day.” she added, feeling rose paint her cheeks.

“And it all started because of a water bottle forgotten at home.” Storm smiled, as he saw his dad engaging in a full fight against Natsu. “Bet my dad can beat yours, Luna.” he smirked the Fire Mage’s way.

“Nuh-uh. The score for my dad is 361 victories, unlike your dad’s 360 ones.” Luna smirked confidently.

“You’ve clearly lost your mind. My dad is the one who won 361 times.”

“Wanna prove you wrong, Ice Boy?” Luna instigated, encouraging him to come closer.

“Bring it on, Sparkie.” Storm smirked. This was going to be fun.
