Ich bin mit Kram unterwegs und fahre MOIA und hoffe, dass sich Alternativen zum Taxi möglichst überall verbreiten

Ich komme ja häufiger mal in der kleinstädtischen, infrastrukturell benachteiligten Gegend am Bahnhof an, und da muss ich dann immer froh sein, wenn überhaupt ein Taxi erreichbar ist. Alternativen zum Taxi gibt es nicht, und das Taxi ist nicht per App oder so was buchbar, sondern - wenn ich Glück habe - per Telefonanruf.

Wenn ich also mit dem Zug dort ankomme, versuche ich vorher im Zug das Taxiunternehmen mit dem Handy telefonisch zu erreichen. Das scheitert meist entweder an der schlechten Mobilfunkabdeckung oder an der Unerreichbarkeit des Taxidienstes. Wenn ich Glück habe und dann am Bahnhof ein Taxi verfügbar ist, akzeptiert das meist keine Kartenzahlung. 2023.

Heute bin ich nicht in der Kleinstadt sondern in Hamburg und möchte mit dem Bass zu einem Gig. Ich muss auch einen Verstärker mitnehmen, außerdem ist das Wetter unerfreulich. Ich will es gar nicht zu ausführlich machen, andere machen so was häufiger. Aber für mich ist es halt das erste Mal, darum schreib ich es hier einmal auf: Ich schaue also nach, wie das in Hamburg geht, und finde im Internet eine Webseite, die mir einen ungefähren Preis für die Taxiverbindung angibt. Allerdings ist unklar, ob die Bezahlung mit Karte möglich sein wird oder ob ich Bargeld bereithalten muss.

Anscheinend können manche Taxis Karte und andere nicht, ich verstehe es nicht genau. Außerdem mag ich dieses Konzept nicht, in einem Taxi zu sitzen, ein muffiger Taxifahrer fährt ein bisschen Sightseeing durch die Stadt, währenddessen läuft das Taxameter, und am Schluss muss ich nen völlig intransparenten Preis bezahlen. 

Freunde sagen mir: Nimm doch Uber. Uber scheint es in Hamburg verboten zu sein, Personen zu befördern, aber es gibt MOIA. Die App von MOIA ist toll und einfach. Mir wird ein Festpreis für die Fahrt vor der Buchung angegeben, und ich kann direkt per App (über Googlepay) buchen und zahlen. Der Preis ist etwas geringer als für ein Taxi. Mir wird in der App angezeigt, wie weit das Fahrzeug noch von mir entfernt ist. Es kommt pünktlich.

Das MOIA-Auto ist ein geräumiger Elektrokleinbus. Der Fahrer ist vollkommen tiefenentspannt - das Gegenteil von den oft muffigen Taxifahrern. Er bemüht sich sehr, meinen Bass im Auto festzuzurren, “Ladungssicherung ist die Verantwortung des Fahrers!”.

Es ist wirklich alles anders als im Taxi, der Fahrer hält sich an die Straßenverkehrsregeln, er überholt Radfahrer mit Abstand und benutzt nicht den Radweg als Haltestelle. Auf der Fahrt könnten theoretisch andere Fahrgäste zusteigen (“Ridepooling”), die Fahrtzeit ist etwas länger kalkuliert als der direkte Weg mit dem Taxi, auf meiner Fahrt steigt aber niemand weiter ein. Auf einem Display im Innenraum wird mir angezeigt, wie lange es noch bis zu meinem Ziel dauert.

Ich gebe das Trinkgeld in der App und bewerte dort den Fahrer mit der vollen Punktzahl. Ein ähnlich erfreuliches MOIA-Erlebnis wiederholt sich Weihnachten 2023.
