Burger King and KFC Unite for a Flavorful Friendship in France with the BFF Burger
In an unexpected twist to the fast food rivalry, Burger King France and KFC France have decided to put their competition aside and join forces for an exclusive collaboration: the launch of the BFF Burger(Best Friends Forever). Available only in France, this groundbreaking partnership introduces an entirely new burger, but with a delicious twist—two distinct variations. The BFF burger will be available in a flame-grilled meat version at Burger King, and a crispy chicken version at KFC. The collaborative burger is available in all 934 participating locations across the country and will remain on the menu until December 16.
The BFF Burger is more than just a delicious fusion of two iconic fast food chains. It's a symbol of the unity between two of the world's most recognizable food brands, which have often been seen as fierce competitors. But in this case, their rivalry takes a backseat as they come together for an innovative product designed to bring people together, offering a shared recipe with one key difference: the meat. The BFF Burger offers the signature flame-grilled beef loved by Burger King fans, while KFC’s version swaps in its famous crispy chicken, a choice that appeals to fans of both brands.
To bring the concept of the BFF Burger to life, the brands enlisted Buzzman, the Paris-based creative agency known for its playful and bold campaigns. Havas Paris provided social media support to spread the word, while Wavemaker and Havas Media ensured the campaign reached the right audiences across France.
A key part of the campaign’s charm is the accompanying TV commercial, directed by Rick Darge through production company HENRY. Set to the funky, feel-good sounds of War’s “Why Can’t We Be Friends?”, the commercial features employees from both Burger King and KFC, dressed in their respective uniforms, joyfully singing arm in arm and united in harmony. The scene plays up the playful concept of two rival companies putting aside their differences to create something special for their fans.
The heart of the campaign is clear: by offering the BFF Burger, Burger King and KFC are showing that even fierce competitors can find common ground in the spirit of fun, innovation, and of course, great food. The BFF Burger is designed to be a limited-time, must-try menu item that taps into the shared love of burgers and fried chicken that unite fans of both brands.
As the campaign unfolds across social media, the brands have also shared playful content to engage their customers, further amplifying the collaborative spirit behind the BFF Burger. Whether you're a fan of flame-grilled beef or crispy chicken, the BFF Burger offers something for everyone—and a chance to experience a unique partnership that might just make you believe in the power of friendship… and fast food.
The BFF Burger is available in all Burger King and KFC locations across France until December 16, so if you’re in the area, don’t miss the opportunity to try this iconic collaboration before it's gone!
