Episode 139: The Ferengi Are All My Sons
TNG: "Firstborn" and "Bloodlines"
It's a rough one here on SSHB this week. First up, it's an Alexander episode with "Firstborn", featuring a highlight in the form of a Quark cameo. After that, Picard has to save his illegitimate son from DaiMon Bok's latest idiot plan for jerks in "Bloodlines". Not gonna lie, LOTS of padding this episode...
Also this week: Jake has a pencil, Klingon Ren Faire, and Rick Berman.
Timestamps: Firstborn: 1:29; Bloodlines: 23:49

DHL deploys 5,000 more Locus AMRs
youtube
DHL Supply Chain has expanded its global partnership with Locus Robotics and is deploying 5,000 more autonomous mobile robots (AMRs) across multiple sites. This is one of the largest AMR deals for the industry so far.
“An idea is only a good idea if it can scale,” Oscar de Bok, Chief Executive Officer at DHL Supply Chain, said. “The flexibility and scalability of the Locus solution has been instrumental in helping us meet the evolving demands of the e-commerce landscape and leveraging cutting-edge technology to optimize our operations and deliver an even better experience for our customers.”
Locus’ AMRs will be deployed across DHL’s global network of warehouses and distribution centers. The expanded LocusBot fleet will provide DHL with automation technology that aims to optimize its supply chain operations and improve worker productivity, order accuracy, speed and efficiency.
DHL has now surpassed more than 250 million units picked using the LocusOne system across is global sites. This deployment is expected to be fully integrated into DHL’s operation by the end of the year.
“We are thrilled to be working in an expanded capacity with DHL Supply Chain to bring our industry-leading robotics technology to their global network,” Rick Faulk, CEO of Locus Robotics, said. “As the robotics industry continues to consolidate, Locus Robotics has emerged as the clear leader in the market, and we are poised for further significant growth. Our innovative technology and commitment to customer success have set us apart. With our expanding product offerings and growing customer base, Locus Robotics is well positioned to capitalize on the tremendous opportunities ahead.”
In November 2022, Locus brought in $117 million in funding for its AMRs. The Series F funding round was led by Goldman Sachs Asset Management and G2 Venture Partners.
Locus’ range of AMRs is made up of Origin, the company’s flagship AMR that can operate for 14 hours on a single charge and has a payload capacity of 80 lbs, Vector, an AMR with a 600 lb payload capacity, and Max, the company’s heaviest capacity AMR with a 3,000 lb payload limit.
Locus acquired Waypoint Robotics in 2021, another AMR company whose portfolio of heavier capacity AMRs complemented Locus’. The Vector and the Max were originally Waypoint robots before the acquisition.

10.07.2021
dear diary,
yes it’s been a fucking while, and i apologize. to say i’ve been busy for the past 4 months would be an understatement. i’ll bring y’all up to speed real quick. and please forgive the spelling errors, it’s currently 3am.
june - pride month baby <3 got my second covid shot, it was hell. i went and visited my sister in georgia and it was amazing. i always forget how much i love her, considering she’s my best friend. spoke to my mom about moving to georgia(we’d been talking about it before), and she said she didn’t know. a little bit tough considering that we would have to know before the end of summer. hung out with my sister. we both caught each other up to speed with our trauma. it was a fun bonding moment. got hooked on wattpad. i’d prefer not to discuss the details if it’s okay with you.
july - pride month over :( i went back to california(where i lived), talked to my mom about moving, again. got a non-response, again. asked her about he multiple men she was seeing. she denied it, again. towards the end of the month, my mother finally decided that we could move. so i had to register my self for school because my mother is incapable of being an actual mother for one fucking second. started packing up the house and saying goodbye to my friends. it wasn’t as hard as you’d think.
august - moved to georgia two days before school started. it was stressful. lived at my not step-dad’s house for a while until my mom decided to show up. made some new friends. pretended to miss my old ones. rocked some pretty fan-fucking-tastic outfits to school. cried everyday at school for a week over fucking geometry. moved to a different geometry class and decided that my new teacher might be a pedophile, still uncertain. unpacked like two things. determined that my house may be haunted, even though i don’t believe in ghosts. my cats were loud as fuck all the time, which was fun to try and sleep through.
september - still haven’t unpacked. still iffy on the friends department, but we’ve made progress. became a teacher’s pet on accident in first period. decided that my geometry teacher is totally a perv. found out that my ap teacher is hilarious. my theatre teacher is pregnant(congrats but also ew children). got asked to homecoming and turned him down(he’s just not my type, ahem women). made a few more friends towards the end of the month. had two periods, idk what’s going on with that. it was my mom’s birthday, happy birthday ig. got stressed over my mother’s lack of mothering.
october thus far - got a dress for homecoming(it’s on saturday, i’ll update y’all hopefully). befriended my sister’s friends, they’re really funny. decided that my house it totally haunted. my dad’s in town, which totally isn’t stressful in the slightest. considered suicide a little bit, but nothing too bad. read a real sad book. and another. the second made me consider suicide some more. decided that i’d really fucking love to move out and i hate being a minor. still haven’t unpacked. and now i’m writing this nonsense.
all in all it’s been very tiring and now i wanna cry all the time. i’ll write to y’all later, hopefully, although who knows anymore.
xoxo m
p.s.
i figured i’d give some recommendations on books, movies, tv shows, and music to listen, watch, and read because you only live once

movies - studio ghibli(all of it), 13 going on 30, legally blonde, clueless, the bee movie, hairspray, the lorax, jumanji(1995), jennifer’s body, corpse bride, freaky, craft, and to the bone
tv shows - maid, criminal minds, glee, prodigal son, the umbrella academy, on my block, your lie in april(anime), only murders in the building, you, miraculous ladybug, scooby doo mystery incorporated, the good place, death note(anime), dash and lily, 13 reasons why, julie and the phantoms, reply 1988, 18 again, weigh-lifting fairy kim bok-joo, erased(anime), wanda-vision,

Först ut är låten The Green Manalishi (With The Two-Pronged Crown).
Den första låten som släpps från kommande hyllningsalbum är The Green Manalishi (With The Two Pronged Crown).

“Rhythm is one of the most powerful of pleasures, and when we feel a pleasurable rhythm we hope it will continue,” – Mary Oliver
“I’ll get the book done if I just set one day’s work in front of the last day’s work. That’s the way it comes out. And that’s the only way it does.”
Morgon! Upp!
Marginalian.
This is the way.
One day you finally knew what you had to do, and began

Even John Park gives it a furry stir! Scared Eric gets his head out of the way! (cute)
Only after making dumplings themselves they realize why he skipped mandu… no..
How hard it was. I can feel it ㅠㅠ Shall we wrap the dumplings now?
Chef Lee Yeon-bok, teaching how to wrap mandu!
Eric’s heart from afar: I want to learn, I want to learn
Eric, who’s been observing hard, eventually gets next to Lee Yeon-bok on tiptoes! A Lee Yeon-bok admirer, model student Eric!
Eric is serious after a diligent learning! Disciple Eric is full of passion
The mandu talent, Mandu-Ric’s first dumplings is a success!
Finished dumplings go into the giant steamer Eric’s real reaction after trying the freshly cooked dumpling.jpg
The Bok-food employees steamed a total of 360 dumplings over a period of 5 hours and 30 minutes! Claps
But the next day, it finally starts raining ㅠ. Rainy day = perfect for food truck business to go bad
That’s why Eric is worrisome about the weather while drying his hair!
Nonetheless, getting ready for the second run! Grand Park is today’s spot!
Also, today’s menu _ fried rice and Bok-mandu!
Dish washing, soy sauce, shrimp boiling plus all other chores are Mandu-Ric’s jobs!
As Yeon-bok sensei starts chopping the onion,. Student-Rick immediately brings out a bowl and puts it next to it. + cleaning up afterwards!
Despite the rain, as soon as they open for business a surge of orders comes flooding in.
Now they are saying they might be running short of dumplings
Unfortunately as they feared, dumpling sells out within 30 minutes from the opening of business
Eventually they have to stop taking orders
Will Bok-food family overcome this obstacle. How do we get through this?
