Hey, awesome to see requests open! If you'd like, I have something not s/o related.
Nocturne confirmed that Anette can see any spirit that's died, not just her own ancestors. Could you write a little something, where she comes up to Alucard to tell him she's been seeing two spirits (Trevor and Sypha) hang around hik particulairly often? I think it could be really fun or sad whichever way you decide to take it ❤️

“Are all Belmonts like this?”
“Irritating? Oh yes.” Alucard replied to Annette’s question. For all the things that changed in the world, that was the one thing that never seemed to change. “To be honest it’s years since I had anything to do with them.”
“If you say so.”
At the time, Alucard hadn’t asked what Annette had meant when she said that. He hadn’t put too much thought into it, nor had the time to ponder on every passing word from a human girl’s lips; no matter how fond he might be of them. The conversation had gone completely out of his mind until Anette reminded him just before her & Richter departed.
“There’s something I wanted to tell you. Something that…they wanted me to tell you.” She told Alucard. Seeming to stumble over her words, or simply hesitating to tell him. “At the time I wasn’t sure what I was seeing when I looked at you sometimes. Shadows of loss. People you had killed haunting you. But, the light around them seemed warmer than that. Protective even.”
The dhampir listened to the little mage with curiosity. Wondering who she could be talking about. “These spirits, you say,” he asked her, “are they of a man in a dark cloak with black hair and a woman with blonde hair?”
“He has a dark cloak.” Anette confirmed. “But his hair is more sandy than dark. With a scar on his face and Richter’s crest on his back. The woman has red hair.”
Alucard’s eyes widened. It couldn’t be….after all this time….
“I was hesitant to tell you about them because the bond felt strong and important, but the message is rather conflicting with that aura.”
“What’s the message?”
“It’s….” Annette’s face reddened with embarrassment, and she lowered her voice to just a whisper to tell him, “Eat shit and die.”
There was a pause. Then Alucard began to chuckle uncontrollably as his shoulders shook. “Yes, fuck you too Trevor.” Alucard wiped a tear of laughter out of the corner of his eye. “Thank you, Annette.” He told her. “You’ve given me a gift. You have no idea how it feels to talk to friends again.”

The best comparison I could think of for NFCV in terms of quality is RWBY. The writing in both just ping-pongs between being decent at its best and atrocious at its worst. In both cases, fans just disregard the baffling creative decisions on display when their favorite ships/characters are being somewhat acknowledged on screen.
And yes, the only thing that was flawlessly executed were the fight scenes (except that in RWBY, the choreography dipped in quality post-volume 4). The other thing that RWBY does better is its music and how each track perfectly fits a fight scene or a certain character, something that NFCV lacked tremendously.
As someone who watched RWBY and liked it until Volume 8... I want to disagree, but I can't.
I mean, sure, RWBY lacks the torture porn and the general mean-spiritedness of NFCV. I would absolutely rather 100% rewatch RWBY from beginning to end because it never made me feel sick like NFCV did. But, uh, we got them all, don't we?
Heroes sitting around in one place waiting for the action to start. Terrible pacing in general, with plenty of wasted time
Complete lack of focus on the protagonists, instead given to all sorts of secondary characters (is Ruby even a character a this point). Seriously, the girls do nearly nothing in most of the finales, just like the Belmonts when Alucard or Isaac are on the case.
World building gone off the shits (to the point that RWBY has to rely on a secondary series to get the gist of it, and even then good luck understanding how Aura works). NFCV can't even keep its vampires straight.
Political themes treated with superficiality that borders on the accidental racism
#girlpower used as a selling point, but the feminism is highly questionable (NFCV is much worse with this, just look at Carmilla and to a lesser extent Lenore, but RWBY has its moments, like killing off women to motivate the male Jaune)
Certain characters going through the ringer for no good reason (poor Oscar and Penny, or Ruby in V9 - again nothing like what Hector goes through, but it gets to a point where it just feels mean)
Characters overcoming trauma with little effort (Yang essentially being told to get over her PTSD after Adam cut off her arm, Alucard and Hector and Richter's traumas oscillating from a season to the next)
Forced ships that conveniently ignore the strife between the characters, molding them into being one the other half of the other (personally I would rather compare Bumblebee to Whispangle from IDW Sonic, but sure, now I can say it's kind of like Richternette too)
JESUS CHRIST WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU (Ruby's suicide treated as a good thing she needed to do because she gets to ✨accept herself✨ ye <3 not quite as bad as "being raped and enslaved is okay if your abuser is a cute woman", but what the hell was that crwby)
That being said, I do have a soft spot for RWBY. Maybe it's because the characters are actually likeable, and the cast isn't made by a bunch of assholes who look down on each other. Or because it has a much more optimistic energy, both in themes and in general aesthetic. Or because it's one of the very few series I've seen where the cynical drunkard's alcoholism is taken very seriously and he has an arc where he heals - hi Qrow, you are what N!Trevor wants to be :)
Anyway. RWBY was ruined by mismanagement and incompetence, as the writers took a direction they weren't good enough to pursue. NFCV is a byproduct of arrogance and spite on top of the mismanagement and incompetence. You can feel the difference, and it's unpleasant.

I Will Survive

The Vampire Survivors DLC Ode to Castlevania ended up as one of my most entertaining gameplay experiences of 2024. This took me by surprise, as I was late to hop on the Vampire Survivors train, and didn't play the game until earlier this year. I'm not sure why I avoided it, considering how much I dig Castlevania (hey, here's a link to an old piece I wrote here about how the series cured my childhood fear of vampires), but it probably has something to do with automatically distrusting anything that gets too popular, and then thinking I am somehow superior for avoiding the mainstream.
That aside, Vampire Survivors is really a great game that's full of Newgrounds-style pluck, and it's precisely the sort of thing that a kid with no money to play real Castlevanias would've devoted their life to back in 2001. I kind of was that kid, considering that I first experienced all of the Castlevania games via emulation, but I digress. The ability to pimp out your character with all manner of add-ons and then stand in the middle of the screen as legions of foes try to get close, only to be bashed backwards by your spinning auras of bullshit, is tremendously entertaining. My fave survivor is Poppea Pecorina, who sings magic energy pillars into existence and apparently has a naughty name in Italian. But nobody in the OG Vampire Survivors roster can compete with the thrill of actually commanding Belmonts and the other associated protagonists of Konami's whip-slinging franchise, and that's what the Ode to Castlevania DLC brings to the fray.

The question of "who's your favorite Castlevania character" is one that renders tribalism equivalent to kids arguing about Batman versus Spider-Man on the playground, or maybe SNES versus Sega Genesis/Mega Drive. But it actually doesn't matter here, because almost all of the Castlevania characters to ever star in a game are on display in this DLC, either from the getgo or as secret unlockables after you "beat" the main map with Richter Belmont. And yes, mainstays like Richter, Trevor, Simon, and Alucard are all present and accounted for, but I'm more intrigued by the lesser-known and underappreciated characters, who have always been my preferred ones. (There I go again, deviating from what's popular.)
For instance, Juste, the Belmont who supposedly starred in the "worst" Game Boy Advance game (eff that noise), is very good, has a rocking remixed theme (all of the remixes here are top notch, to be fair), and boasts a pleasant nod to his role as the premiere Belmont mage thanks to an item called Belnades' Spellbook, which lets him spam magic like a beast. Then there's Sonia, the one female Belmont who starred in a game retconned by Koji Igarashi (also eff that noise), who is finally given the star status that she deserves (as well as a pair of trousers) with an OP skillset that makes her power rise the more meat she consumes. Now that's a Belmont matriarch for you!

However, it is the truly obscure cuts that make me bounce up and down in my seat whenever I'm playing Vampire Survivors: Ode to Castlevania. I'm talking about inclusions like Quincy Morris, who only tangentially holds a connection to 1994's Castlevania: Bloodlines/The New Generation. Bloodlines is a personal favorite of mine as one of the best games on the Genesis, but I also like it as a title that dipped into funky continuity by tying Konami's "Conan versus Dracula" games with Bram Stoker's original Dracula novel. Quincy Morris is supposed to be the same Quincy Morris (spelled Quincey in the book) who showed up in the latter half of Dracula - you know, the part where the novel stops being gothic horror and becomes a rollocking D&D adventure. He's a Texan hanging out in Europe who just happens to have a bigass Bowie knife that he later uses to behead Dracula, and he was only referenced in the instruction manual of Bloodlines/The New Generation. Instead you played as his son John Morris, who would later go on to sire his own offspring named Jonathan Morris in Castlevania: Portrait of Ruin.
All of this lore is well and dandy, but Quincy has technically never appeared in an actual Castlevania game, nor has he had a sprite of his own...until now. Vampire Survivors did it, of all games, and now Quincy has been canonised as a dashing Texas bastard with a black hat and a...shuriken as his default weapon. I still think they should've stuck a Bowie knife into the game, but seeing as how there's already a standard knife, I see why they didn't. And hey, if Quincy can pop up in Europe in the original Dracula book just to fight the undead for the heck of it, who's to say that he can't pop up in Castlevania canon with a ninja star as his go-to projectile? The Morris side of the Belmont family line is clearly a weeaboo lineage!

I mention this attention to detail to outline the good work that poncle, the little company that could, has done with Ode to Castlevania. What started as a project that was intentionally derivative has evolved into something not only officially sanctioned by Konami, but a game that’s making its own contributions to Castlevania lore by ensuring that fallen-in-the-cracks characters like Quincy get their moment. This is especially important in the weird era we live in, where Castlevania is a very hot property thanks to the Netflix show but one that hasn't really had a game since Lords of Shadow 2, which was a decade ago and unfortunately poorly received. A few years ago, I would've said that Konami just doesn't care about their IP any more outside of what they can squeeze from pachinko machines, but seeing as how they published a remake of Silent Hill 2 courtesy of Blooper Team earlier this year, who knows. Maybe they're just waiting for the right studio to farm out the next Castlevania revival to.
If poncle ever wants to make a game beyond Vampire Survivors, I'd say that they'd be the group perfect for the job. As it stands, though, Ode to Castlevania probably wins the title of the best Castlevania game of the last ten years, and even if that's a low bar to clear, what we have here is very, very good and the epitome of fan service. I'm glad I stopped avoiding Vampire Survivors and finally dove in, and now I've got an eye towards checking out that Contra DLC from a few years back too...

A genuine waste of opportunity I felt was present in the echo fighters, was not using them as an opportunity for character dumps.
Sakurai has spent a lot of time explaining the cool backdrop presences of characters in stages, and did it for most of the reveals for the DLC roster in Ultimate. And this is cool. It's a way to squeeze just a few more characters into the game considering everyone everywhere wants their faborite character in, and can say, at least tepidly, that they got in, or at least got a shout out in one of the biggest platform whisperers around.
One of the key aspects of the echo fighters is how they're.. well, the same guy, just kinda different, both in lore and gameplay. Lucina literally used Marth's name in disguise, Daisy is constantly compared to Peach as a mirror, and Richter is fundamentally the same character as Simon where it matters from a gameplay perspective.
But you know who else that applies to? Literally every other Belmont in the entire series' history. Sure, they use different sub weapons from time to time, they all have different personalities, but they're all people with a whip, a cross, an axe, and a massive haterection for the creatures of the night.
When characters have alternate characters occupying alternate costume slots, I think on this, and how it seems a waste to not do this for the echo fighters too, the character archetype explicitly stated to be a space filler for the game's code, or wherever it could apply frankly.
We could have had every Belmont in the franchise in one convenient package whipping Captain Falcon in the dick. They could have stayed a separate slot too, since the differing quality between Richter and Simon is Richter's holy water flames are treated as an aura attack property and Simon's is treated as a fire property because of the color, and holy water has been blue in Castlevania for god knows how long (and I don't wanna check right now).
Maybe I'm just salty that we got Richter the pretty vampire and Simon instead of Simon and Leon the rage monster, but I can't help but feel that this was a wasted opportunity. Considering Sakurai's pride in squeezing in as many faces into Ultimate as he could as backdrops, I feel like this would have been thrice as impactful for about the same degree of space used up. I hope the next game uses the alternate costume/color mechanic to get jiggy with some references and shout outs for other characters, like Olimar gets.

Looking at Richter makes me understand some parents' feelings about their kids...
I see this man
Or this man
And I'm not like "Ah, yes, he's gonna be a dad someday"
I'm more like... "This boy's gonna stay a baby till the day he dies" JUST LOOK AT HIM- HE'S PRECIOUS. PRECIOUS LITTLE ANIME BOY-
Even this design.
Wich makes him look more mature and tidy... I just can't picture him having a damn KID. LIKE. HIS OWN KID. NO WAY. NOT HIM. I MEAN- I'M SURE HE WOULD BE A GOOD DAD BUT- BUT HE- HE BABY ??
And this design...
IMO it's the most "daddy" of them all. But he's still Richter...
This long hair and prestigious aura... The stand... The facial expression... all of this is just a FACADE. Deep down he's still this wild but righteous BOY !!
No other Belmont have this "absolute baby. must protect." vibe... And he's THE (second) STRONGEST OF THEM !! CAN YOU IMAGINE BEING SO POWERFUL AND STILL EVERYONE SEES YOU JUST AS A BABY THAT MUST BE CARED FOR ?? IT'S VERY FUNNY BUT NOT FOR YOU.
He's not even my fav but i'm still obsessed. All of the other Belmont i can see as fathers, but Richter... Richter's the only one i can't even imagine growing up :( And i'm looking at him BEING a grown up, like oeirhgmserlngmsrelkngmrenkg I WOULD BE A VERY ANNOYING PARENT TO HIM.
#i wonder if Juste felt the same way........... yeah definitely#Richter is everyone's kid in the family#i can't believe he's JULIUS' ancestor... i can't believe he's AN ANCESTOR AT ALL#LIKE WHAT THE HELL#he had sex ?? with a WOMAN ??#and a BABY popped out of her ?? AND HE TOOK CARE OF IT LIKE AN ADULT ??#LITERALLY CANNOT BELIEVE IT#castlevania#richter belmont#rondo of blood#dracula x chronicles#symphony of the night#grimoire of souls

Castlevania: New Blood trailer
A trailer for a live-action Castlevania movie, released today in honor of the series’ 35th anniversary.
If anyone has any ideas for casting, feel free to speak up.
Recommended listening: -Vampire Killer -Divine Bloodlines -Nothing to Lose
(Open on 22-year-old reporter Colette Whitmore arriving in Amsterdam for her first international assignment. Accompanying her as she disembarks from the plane is cameraman Javier Guerra.)
Javier: Why’d you want to come here so bad?
(Shot of Colette on a balcony, staring at the distant form of a castle.)
Colette (v/o): Something...drew me here. I can’t quite explain it.
(Cut to Colette and Javier on a bus. The passenger beside them is reading a newspaper, with the headline reading “Has the Mystery Castle Appeared Before?” Cut to Sophie Ziegler, a teenage girl who looks much like a female version of Richter Belmont, sitting on her bed with a black-shelled turtle, a blue-scaled dragon, a red-feathered bird, and a white-furred cat, each small enough to be mistaken for a stuffed animal. As the cat crawls into her lap, she turns to stare out her bedroom window.)
Sophie: Maria...it’s happening again.
(Konami logo appears. Cut to Colette and a young Brit named Adam Redgrave in a hotel buffet room, watching a news report about people dying in what look like animal attacks.)
Adam: There are other Belmonts out there...
(Shot of Colette holding the Vampire Killer with a look of awe. Cut back to Colette and Adam.)
Adam: ...but fate has decreed that this is your time.
(Shot of Colette, Javier, Sophie, and Adam approaching the entrance to Dracula’s Castle. Cut to the inside of the first floor hallway as the door creaks open. Shots of the quartet fighting various enemies. Cut to Death watching from a balcony as Adam helps an injured Javier to his feet.)
Death: Dracula was freed from the cycle years ago...
(Cut to the quartet in a room full of portraits. Colette and Javier are looking at paintings of Simon, Richter, Trevor, and Julius, Sophie gently strokes a painting of Maria with a mournful expression, and Adam inspects a painting of Soma Cruz and Alucard. Cut to Death floating through the castle halls.)
Death: ...so why does the castle still keep returning?
(Shot of Adam conjuring a sphere of lightning and holding it aloft. It releases smaller bolts of electricity that shoot off like fireworks and hit the mummies advancing toward him. Shot of Sophie and the four small animals from earlier. She gestures, and they grow larger, transforming into avatars of the Four Symbols. Shot of Javier on his hands and knees as a beam of moonlight shines down on him. He starts to grow larger and change form, shirt and shoes being torn apart. As the change completes, the new werewolf rises to his feet and howls. Cut to Colette standing face to face with Medusa. An aura of confidence emanates from Colette as she draws and brandishes the Vampire Killer.)
Colette: I...am...a Belmont!
(She lashes out with the whip, striking Medusa with enough force to knock her to the floor. As she gets up, hissing angrily, Colette smirks and cracks the whip. Cut to title card.)
Castlevania: New Blood
(Shot of Carmilla inspecting a set of photographs, including one of Sophia. Across from her, Laura lays out several hand-painted cards, each depicting a past wielder of the Vampire Killer, in a line on the floor. Carmilla kneels and begins setting the photos across from the cards. The camera zooms in on Sophie’s photo, paired with the card featuring Richter Belmont.)

Super Smash Bros critical hit quotes
To contribute to the recent efforts to turn Smash Bros into Fire Emblem with Nintendo All Stars, I thought it would be cool/funny to add critical hit quotes to Smash Bros characters. Maybe they could say these whenever they used their final smashes (some of them already do lmao). Or, if we ever do get a tactics RPG with Nintendo characters which would be THE DREAM, Nintendo could use these. Some of these were really easy, others were really hard. I bet you can guess which ones.
Also, for characters who communicate with singular noises/grunts, I’ve added a translation of what they’re actually saying.
Mario:
“Lets-a go!”
“Mario time!”
“Mama Mia!”
“Wahoo!”
Donkey Kong:
“Banana slamma!”
“DK! Donkey Kong!”
“You’re an absolute zero!”
“Here I come!”
Link:
“My courage will prevail!”
“This is just between you and me.”
“…Now!”
“I’m dangerous, you know.”
Samus:
“For true peace!”
“You’ve done well.”
“Time to pay up!”
“Mission complete.”
Dark Samus:
“I will corrupt you.”
“The thrill of battle.”
“Touch me. I dare you.”
“Dead on arrival!”
Yoshi:
“Yoshi!” (Peace!)
“Hm hm, hup!” (I’m finished with you!)
“Yoshi yo?” (Fried or scrambled?)
“Yo yo yo!” (Don’t be such a baby!)
Kirby:
“Haiii!” (Hello!)
“Poyo poyo!” (Thanks for playing with me!)
“Uwaaah!” (Hey, that hurt!)
“Hiyaaa!”
Fox:
“Here I come!”
“Better luck next time.”
“It’s go time!”
“Mission complete.”

“Pika pika!” (Bye bye!)
“Piii, pikachu?” (Oh, you want some more?)
“Chu, pika pi!” (I’m electrifying!)
“Pika pi pi!” (Sparks are flying!)
Luigi:
“Let’s-a go…”
“Go, green!”
“Bang, bang!”
“ACHOOO!”
Captain Falcon:
“Come on!”
“Show me your moves!”
“I’m number one!”
“Guess I’ll have to show off!”
Ness:
“Say fuzzy pickles!”
“Batter up!”
“You stink!”
“Does it hurt yet?”
Jigglypuff:
“Puff puff…” (I’m getting sleepy…)
“Jigglypuff jiggly jiggly!” (Time for a power ballad!)
“Jiggly, jigglypuff puff?” (Would you like an encore?)
“Jigglypuff puff jiggly!” (Sing with me now!)
Peach:
“Sweet!”
“This is fun!”
“Don’t hit me!”
“Want some cake?”
Daisy:
“Sweet!”
“I got it!”
“I’m the best!”
“Hi, I’m Daisy!”
Bowser:
“Bowser time!”
“I’m oughta rip your stuffing out!”
“Even scarier up close, huh?”
“Bwahahaha!”
Ice Climbers:

“It’s time!”
“Game over.”
“Nothing personal.”
Zero Suit Samus:
“Be still.”
“You’re mine.”
“I object!”
“Stunning, isn’t it?”
Wario:
“I’m-a gonna win!”
“Stinker!”
“You smell that?”
“WAHAHAHA!”
Snake:

“You’re about to die!”
“I make a big impression!”
“Start screaming.”
“You’ll make for a good snack.”
Simon:
“My path is clear!”
“On my honor as a Belmont!”
“I vanquish the darkness!”
“I offer only defeat.”
Richter:
“You don’t belong in this world!”
“Begone, monster!”
“I vanquish the darkness!”
“Farewell.”
King K. Rool:
“I’ve had enough of this!”
“Nothing can stop me!”
“You’re all doomed!”
“Any last requests?”
Isabelle:
“My apologies!”
“Now you’ve done it!”
“I’m gonna go Isaballistic on you!”
“Will that be all?”
Incineroar:
“Grahaha!”
“Cineroar!” (I’m gonna put on a show!)
“Incin!” (Oh, yeah!)
“Incineroar, cin?” (You want an autograph?)
Piranha Plant:
“Plant gang!”
“You see these pearly whites?”
“For Lord Bowser!”

“My turn!”
“Time to get critical!”
“HOES MAD”

Terry:
“Are you okay?”
“Hey, c’mon!”
“Bingo!”
“Take it easy!”

i know its a big stretch, but what it another Belmont was added to Smash, this one fell into darkness and defended humanity form Satan himself even though he got the crappy hand in life. (talkin about Mah Boi Gabriel Belmont, better known as Dracula form the CLoS timeline/series). I wanna see how Simon and Richter would react if Dracula got in and he was a Belmont.
Simon struggled to stand as he lay, coughing up blood on the floor. The Morning Star lay near him, snapped in half. The Belmont warrior struggled to his knees as he looked up to look for his descendant.
Richter was being held aloft by his throat. Ganondorf cackled aloud as he wrapped iron hard fingers ‘round the younger monster slayer’s throat. “This is the strength of the Belmonts? Those who laid Dracula low? Bah. I would laugh if it weren’t so insulting.” sneered the Demon King.
Simon growled to himself and struggled to his feet, grabbing for one of the halve’s of the Morning Star. Ganondorf turned to him and snorted in derision. “Still some strength in you? Admirable. But in the end… fruitless.”
Richter took advantage of Ganondorf’s temporary distraction to grab the dagger in his boot. With his waning strength, Richter drove the blade forward.
Only for it to shatter harmlessly against Ganondorf’s armor.
Ganondorf glanced down at the shattered dagger in an expression that was almost offended. “And what, pray tell, was that supposed to do?” asked the Demon King dryly. When no response was forthcoming, Ganondorf threw Richter directly into Simon, sending both flying, and propelling Simon into a pillar.
“Well this has been… well not fun… but it has been an adequate distraction.” said Ganondorf as he summoned the Sword of Sages to his hand. “But it ends now.” he drawled, approaching the barely conscious pair of demon hunters. “But as I send you to the void, let it be known that of all the Holy Warriors I have fought… you two were the weak-” his words were cut off by the sound of the great doors of the Hall opening.
Ganondorf, Simon, and Richter all turned their heads to the doors to see the newcomer. Most of him was bathed in shadow, for the Full Moon shone at his back, giving him a silver aura about his form. But his hair was long and dark, and he wore a long coat that flashed crimson.
And then there were his eyes. Two blood-red eye, glaring at them from the shrouded face.
There was a shivering moment of silence…
Then, in a flash of shadow, he was before Ganondorf, wielding a spiked whip, fused with the power of Light and Shadow, attached to a cast-iron cross.
The whip struck Ganondorf, driving him back. Ganondorf, shocked at the pain the weapon brought him, steadied himself once more. Then… he smiled. Now here was a foe that would challenge him. Here was a foe that would test his might. with an exhilarated laugh, Ganondorf charged the stranger, and they did battle.
As the Demon King and the stranger fought, Richter pulled himself up, hobbling over to Simon and pulling him up with a groan. The two beheld the fight between the two Lords of Shadow, gazing in a mix of terror and awe.
“What… what is he?” asked Richter in awe.
“I have ahunch.” said Simon grimly. “But I hope I’m wrong.”
At last, the stranger threw down the Demon King who landed with a oof upon the stone. Growling in anger, Ganondorf rose again in a flash. But, as he glared at the stranger, he stepped out of his battle stance, sheathing his Sword of Sages. “Enjoy this victory. Other matters require my attention, and I have tarried here long enough.” he snarled. “But,” and then he pointed at the stranger. “We shall clash again, and you will kneel before me.” And, in a flash of flame, the Demon King was gone.
“One shall kneel King of Evil, but it shall not be me.” said the stranger in a smooth voice. with that, the stranger turned to the two Belmonts. “You were both foolish to attack the Demon King like that. If he had actually been trying you would both be dead or worse by now.” he said, sheathing his whip.
“What- How- Who the Hell are you!” cried Richter.
“I know.” said Simon coldly. “He is our enemy. Dracula. The No Life King.” said Simon. “But a different version of him. One that makes play at being our friend. One that has taken advantage of the Rifts in the Multiverse to hunt his enemies anew.” snarled the elder Belmont.
“The stranger released a humorless chuckle. “You are right on one point. I am Dracula. But I am someone else.” With that he began to walk towards the great doors once more. “I was once a man. I was once Gabriel. Gabriel Belmont.”
White hot fury filled Simon and he tore himself away from a stunned Richter to point an accusing finger at Dracula. “LIAR!” he roared. “Desecrater of my family name! YOU LIE!”
Dracula paused and glanced over his shoulder, his crimson eyes filled with a grief beyond the understanding of men. “If only, dear Simon. If only.” and with that he turned back towards the moonlit night. “We shall meet again… my family.”
And with those final parting words, he transformed into a horde of bats, leaving behind a pair of bewildered, stunned, enraged, and cautiously hopeful descendants staring after him into the night.
The grim, moonlit night.

How would Arikado descibe the difference between a vampire and a dhampir? And how does he feel about other dhampirs?
I think Arikado would be able to tell the difference between a vampire and a dhampir based on the scent of their blood and their soul. In SOTN Alucard identifies Richter as being a member of the Belmont family based solely on the scent of his blood, because he smells like Trevor. This power probably works on vampire and Dhampir venom as well. Alucard can also see souls, and identify what a type of monster something is based off their “aura”, so I assume that because of this, vampires and dhampirs “feel” different to him. He’d probably describe a difference in their “blood” and “aura.”
Another way he can tell the difference is that vampires and dhampirs act differently, despite having similar powers and a similar appearance. All of Alucard’s interactions with vampires have been negative. While Dracula, was once a loving husband and father he did succumb to darkness and commit horrible atrocities. Another notable example is Lydumil. Lydumil was a friend of his who needed up being turned into a vampire. Under mind control, Lydumil kills several villagers, before he is freed from his spell. Once he is freed, Lydumil dies almost instantly, preventing Alucard from having a positive experience with a vampire. While vampires do have souls and are capable of being good, Alucard has never seen that side of them. He only knows vampires as evil, blood crazed, lustful beings, with no remorse or compassion, and he might describe them as being this way as well.
We do know of one relationship that Alucard has with a Dhampir, and. it is a positive one. Yves, is a lot like Alucard. They’re both half vampires, who lost their parents in horrible accidents, and who choose to fight on the side of humanity. They’re both essential humans trapped in the bodies of vampires.
As to how Arikado feels about other dhampirs, I’ve come up with some headcanons about his relationship with Yves. (Yves is from Moonlight Rhapsody and I even have a blog set up for him) When Yves, was a child his parents died in an accident and he was taken in by a group of hunters called the Demon Hunters Guild. Alucard, in this headcanon works alongside the guild to fight monster, and he basically becomes an older brother like figure to Yves. Since both Alucard and Yves are dhampirs, and they both lost their parents, Alucard can’t help but want to protect Yves. Yves is the only member of his kind who he knows, and unlike other vampires Yves is a compassionate person.
The two of them become very close over the years, and eventually they grow to see each other as siblings. While, in canon Alucard detests the idea of having children, he is secretly happy to have an immortal friend who will never leave him.

@celero-needs-therapy
It should have been an easy mission. After a week of self-loathing and not eating Alucard went for something that should have been a piece of cake. There have been reports that a succubus had been in the area seducing and killing men. After what happened with Maria, Alucard had a very special grudge against that kind of monster and all the victims that would fall for their charm. Richter had thought this would be good for him considering that he had been in his room, slowly dying for a few months.
When Alucard had got there, there were bodies everywhere. The normally green grass had a red tinge to it after days of constant bloodshed washing it. The air had a stench of iron and decay. The succubus had sat on the throne that could have only have been built out of the bones of her victims. Alucard had recognized the red in her hair that wasn't because of all the blood she had been coated in. That was the succubus that had let him astray so that he could be stabbed and taken out of the way for them to brutally smoke out Maria. The look in her eye the joy made him visibly sick.
The female demon had a tone of happiness in her voice. Endlessly mocking the fact that had Alucard been just a tad faster or had just looked behind him, Maria would still be alive. While the succubus was correct, it just succeeded in making him angry. The truth is Maria was dead; the man who bragged about her death was dead; all that was left was the monster that had lead him away from her. And he was staring that monster dead in her eyes.
It would have been too easy to just rip the head off that demon. Alucard wanted to. But considering that the castle had popped up again Alucard had bigger issues at the moment. The most he could ever hope to do is just condemn her to dream forever like he had done when he met Maria for the second time and that Succubus ripped him to shreds deep in his soul. The succubus would have been beautiful, should have been beautiful but to him, was the vilest creature in existence. There was no salvation for this monster; the only thing that she could ever hope for is that Alucard, didn't make her suffer.
Alucard hesitated. He didn't exactly want to kill so close after he had beaten a man to death. While the man deserved it, it was a tough pill to swallow for Alucard. He could still taste the blood on his hands from the man he could feel his father's influence dance around him like an aura of hate and despair, Much like his father had felt when his mother was burnt at the stake. Alucard should have used the flame spell or holy water but with the fires that resulted from either, it put a bad taste in his mouth. He was trying to find a way that could kill a succubus secure their soul, purge the darkness wins from them, but he couldn't all he could do was kill them, and right as he was to draw the sword and burn the darkness away from them and destroy their soul sending it directly to hell, the succubus pulled a dirty little trick.
The succubus shape-shifted. Her red hair turn blonde with white ash coating it; her evil smile turned into a soft welcoming grin; her dark red eyes glinting with bloodshed and bloodlust turn blue and hopeful and so living and that pale skin had that blush Imitation of life but coated with Ash like all the clothes burned off her like she had been in the house covered in that cloak that he had buried that girl in. The succubus turned her likeness into that of Maria.
Something in Alucard snapped. That monster pulled him away from the woman he loved in could have loved for many years, wanted to love for many years, and just mocked the beauty that she was, the beauty in her life. Had she not been there, Maria could have been side-by-side with him now. they could have been married. Richter begged him to let Maria in and when he did he never got to appreciate never had the time to appreciate all that their life could have been together because this succubus, this wrench, this witch, just took everything from him. The loss was so great and it morphed into hatred and bitterness so quickly it was like he himself a changed form. The succubus barely had any time to change back before our card was ringing her neck out with its claws nails digging into her skin. The look of anger on his face brought such a resemblance to his father that it could have been Dracula himself standing over her.
As the succubus began to burn up underneath his palms, a calmness settled over Alucard. He had succeeded he avenged Maria, but in that moment he wanted to turn to her and say everything was alright, everything was going to be alright but she was still gone and he was still alone and he had no one to go home to. It would have been a cruel mercy if Alucard just fell to Dracula but it would have been such an insult to Maria, the one who begged him to stay with her, the one who wanted to be the most valuable person in his life, but she was gone and all he had left to treasure her by were her memories and the memories of their life together. The cross around his neck, laced with silver and gold that had that ‘M’ in that chain around his neck brought a certainty that a part of her would always be close to his heart and that certainly would make him survive the fight against his father one last time he would stay with the Belmonts, train them keep saving humanity and just live life for the both of them even if all he could do at night was just cry and pray at her grave. He could pray that her memory lives on not be a victim to old age, memory or the curse that female heroes expect this time have where the men of the church just sweep them under the rug. He would stand for her BF the hero that she always knew he was and he had to do that for her he told her everything and now it's was time for him to pay up.

Awesome! Thank you.
So these two are members of Team IKPS (Eclipse) that a couple friends and I have developed. The team as a whole are Beacon third years starting in Volume 1.
1st is Idrasimo Foinix.
Color: Silver-White
Allusion: Odysseus/Richter Belmont
Semblance: Cartographer (which I want to rename) Gives him hyper-proprioception of his surroundings, including Grimm.
Weapon: Variable Dust Casting Whip ‘Apophasy’
Is the Leader and AoE specialist
Weiss is his 1st cousin once removed. His great-aunt is her maternal grandmother.
2nd is Oriana Sugiyama
Color: Gold
Allusion: Samus Aran/Amaterasu/Annie Oakley
Semblance: Sol Shards - Is able to shoot/summon plasma-like bolts from her fingers. Has honed this to stunning accuracy. She can also channel them through her weapon.
Weapon: Revised Aura Sensitive Naginata (Currently Unnamed)
Is the Long Range/ Sniper of the team.
Knows Pyrrha in passing as she was in the Marksman division of the Mistral regionals.
Both of them are pretty much done, I just need to figure out an emblem for Idrasimo. Other than that, it’s just refining few details about outfits and the like. I’m really proud of their backstories too, but they’re a bit lengthy.
Long stories short however, Idrasimo is from a line of Huntsman who used to be Mistrali nobility before the Great War.
And Oriana was from Atlas but got orphaned in Mistral and taken in by an ancient order of monks (coughChozocough)
@sunder-the-gold You mind if ramble about my RWBY OCs to you a bit?

HC; Religion
For centuries, many of the Belmonts are servants to the Church of Christ, more specifically the Orthodox Church. Richter continues this tradition and has his education and ideology heavily influenced by Christianity.
Richter truly believes the Belmonts were put on this Earth to slay the creatures of the night by God and will continue to do so until the end of time. He feels his killing of countless creatures is justified because he his killing evil beings.
When he has the opportunity, he attends church and participates in confession. He also acquires and purchases holy water from his local monastery; it often comes in handy riding evil aura.
