Unrelatedly, if anyone knows of an website or app (not tiktok or IG) where I can easily add completely accurate or editable subtitles, please tell me. The ones on this video originally had major errors and my method was time intensive and annoying, so I ran out of steam. Also I’m hard of hearing myself, so I often can’t catch what’s being said when there’s a lot of noise. Sorry for the imperfections!

lmaoooo it was a taping for the upcoming season of Richard Herring’s Leicester Square Theatre Podcast. he also talked about penile aging issues (“pumping and pissing”). the man has never heard of the concept of Inside Thoughts. we literally set a timer for how long it would take him to bring up david tennant and got whiskey shots to take when it inevitably happened.

Rewatched the amazing "The Parapod Movie" tonight, a cinematic adaptation of The Parapod, one of the funniest podcast ever made. I really admire the fact that Ian Boldsworth chose to make this film in a documentary style rather than one with a script because the way the film has turned out is not only full of laughs but also it is a debunking of the paranormal but also an investigation into why people believe this stuff. The best example of the effectiveness of the film as a documentary format is the great ending which I wont spoil for people who haven't seen it but let's just say if this was a scripted studio movie then it would've ended with either something supernatural happening (like Ian being possessed or Barry revealing he actually IS a ghost and Ian the skeptic has had the ability to talk to them the entire time…..actually that would have been a really good twist, fuck!) or a dramatic revelation of why Barry believes in ghosts but instead it has a much more interesting a realistic conclusion. Its also quite surprising that no-one has thought to do a movie this way before because we've had 20 years of these stupid Most Haunted style shows so you'd think somebody would have thought to make a movie that is both a satire of those kind of shows while also focusing on the phenomena of why certain people believe in the supernatural. I'm so happy for Ian that he managed to get this movie made and it's proof that if you put enough effort into a project to gain a loyal audience then they will have enough faith in you to back you towards bigger and better things. This is reported to be the first podcast to ever become a movie which is majorly impressive but to be honest this is one of the few podcasts that could become a movie although it would be interesting to see what the plot of the Richard Herrings Leicester Square Theatre Movie would be.
