okay. i will be honest here. i know it's funny to joke about "haha pearl just met them five minutes ago!" but I'm concerned some of you guys don't get it. like do you truly understand that wembley pearl's motivation is not to get a romantic partner. she wants to win the race! she wants to be fast! she wants to compete! and reducing make up my heart to "haha why is she ignoring the obvious choice here" is completely ignoring a- her motivations and wants and b- the fact that she does not want to hurt rusty's feelings. like are you guys aware that make up my heart is about pearl reconciling her own wants and desires with the chance that she might hurt the first friend she's ever made. do you guys understand that. do you guys see her as a complex and interesting character the same way you do the others. or is she just a silly girl. okay.
