wada sez: Skids’ most notable story was the Marvel Comics issue “Showdown!”, where he formed a bond (a romance?!) with the human cashier Charlene; they’re ultimately forced to part ways and return to their separate lives. Here, Charlene imagines herself in a wild west saloon; Skids imagines a Cybertronian equivalent, and they ultimately share the same fantasy of life together—the dreamlike thought-bubble effect surrounding most of these panels fades away for the final two, which I think is meant to imply that Charlene really does reunite with Skids! Rumble and Frenzy are seen arguing over whether FIBRIR or RIBFIR.
