With a spectacular outdoor live production and 6000m2 audience arena, the Mid-Autumn Festival Party of China Media Group is a difficult challenge for any sound reinforcementsystem. The festival featured a huge, 60m wide stage and large set, with an audience of 5000 seated in an arena 80m wide by 100m deep.   However, thanks to an Alcons Audio pro-ribbon LR28 larger-format line array system, the audience at the latest event in Qufu enjoyed high quality sound throughout.   “Thanks to the directivity, all-natural cylindrical wavefront and exceptional throw of Alcons Audio’s pro-ribbon technology, a strong breeze and high humidity did not affect the transmission of sound at all. The Schauspiel Hannover offers theater, entertainment and music in five different venues. Recently, the sound systems have been brought to the latest standard; “The audio demands of the various productions in the house can be described as very 'mature'." says sound engineer Markus Folberth.   The sound engineering department wanted a homogeneous coverage of the entire auditorium as well as good speech intelligibility. "In addition, a real extension of the expressive possibilities of the sound reinforcement was requested." says Lutz Findeisen, head of the sound / video department at Schauspiel Hannover.   After comparing different line array systems, the Alcons LR14 pro-ribbon line-array systems were selected, supplemented by LR7 line-arrays; RR12 point-source arrays were selected for back-of-stage system, and VR12 and VR5 were chosen as mobile system.   "We agreed that Alcons could cover the widest range of productions," explains Findeisen. Since 2009, the city of Leipzig has been commemorating the miracle of the Peaceful Revolution every year on November 9, that started from the Saxon metropolis and made a significant contribution to the fall of the BerlinWall on November 9, 1989. Opened in 2015, FirstOntario Performing Arts Centre (PAC) is a 95,000ft2, state-of-the-art cultural and education facility, located in the Canadian city of St Catharines. It includes the Film House Screen & Stage, a 199-seat digital movie screening room which features an Alcons pro-ribbon CRMS Cinema Reference Monitor System.   As it is used for both public screenings and education, high audio quality in the Film House was a key requirement.
