This has nothing to do with monsters or robots, but I went antiquing and found a PERFECT washboard for such a low price. And I'm just very excited because I've had washboard on my weird little percussion instrument learning list for a little bit now and I'm so giddy For anyone wondering, but how the hell does one play a washboard?

Here's one player who is an absolutely fabulous example!

It's so silly, it's so fun, it is so open to how the player expresses themself! UGH so excited to learn it \^o^/

WAIT! THIS CAT IS PLAYING THE BONES! O wow, this is so exciting! (I'm a bones player so anytime I see them I'm going to shout about it)

So in reference here's Dom Flemons (absolutely legendary bones player) explaining the bones and how they are held/played.

Versus some tags I've seen where someone might mistake them for castanets/flamenco. Castanets are connected together by a little string, and are held inside the palm to be freely tapped on by fingers.

And as exciting as it is to see a little cat playing the bones - I can say for certain he would be tossing those things around and hitting someone in the eye with the current hold he has.

He looks fabulous, but the music would be terrible 😔

this is one of my fave moments from beyond MOSTLY because of the way you can see spock nodding along very subtly for a few beats before confirming it's "classical" music

i may be picky about everything else in the world but you will NEVER catch me picky about music i fucking love music so much. jazz, hyperpop, rap, lo-fi, rock, indie, even some classical, i dont give a fuck, i will listen to almost any genre if its got a good beat, a good flow, and a good melody.

i love flash edits especially when it's literally just typing the flash out on a new document over and over again to feel the rhythm of all it together and each time you change or add single words at a time because each time you type it out there's one new sentence that now feels off and it feels like an infected wound spreading all over the piece 😍

i think the issue with having an extremely inconsistent sleep schedule is not that your overall daily schedule will be out of wack (i am quite fine with changing schedules) but rather that all hours of the day are Schrodinger's Bedtime. like, going to bed just feels like An Option at all times and this leads to a lot of laying in bed almost dozing but not really sleeping
