still thinking about this so obviously I had to noodle around in the character creator to make Rhys "Thorne" (but actually Mahariel-Theirin), absolute bane of the First Warden's life because he has unfortunately inherited his father's tendency to flippant sarcasm and his mother's attitude towards rules (which is: fuck 'em)

(am I aware that going strictly by Dragon Age canon he should have human ears? yes. am I also ignoring that because I think it's stupid and strictly speaking he has more elf blood than human? also yes.)

thinking about a Warden Rook who goes by the name Thorne because it's close to Theirin but avoids any awkward questions or people trying to use him to get close to his parents, who hasn't told any of his companions who he really is, who gets to the Veil Jumper camp in Arlathan Forest and a raven turns into the Witch of the Wilds who starts to introduce herself but then stops and stares at him, while he shuffles his feet and says with a sigh, "....... hi, Aunt Morrigan."

Orest Mahariel: I have two faceclaims for Orest, one being Sutan Amrull, a.k.a. Raja Gemini, and Willy Cartier, a french model. I didn’t intend to have Orest look so much like Raja, but I’m quite happy he does because he’s just got such a drag queen spirit~

Andrea Eleanor Donella Cousland: The faceclaim I have for Andrea is Katie McGrath, namely as Morgana in Merlin, who I didn’t even mean to model her after! It just sorta happened, and I am very glad it did! Damn those icy noblewomen, stealing my heart!

Faelyn Tabris: The faceclaim I have for Faelyn is Georgia May Jagger, a beautiful buck-toothed woman! God, she’s so cute... Her body’s pretty similar, too, generally quite slim and waif-y! (Sorry about the almost-boobs lol)

Gemma Brosca: I love Gemma’s faceclaim since it’s so ironic! Her faceclaim is the only one that not an irl person, but is instead the anime character of Diane, from the Seven Deadly sins! Modeling a teeny tiny dwarf after a literal giant? Yes please!

Hundir Aeducan: It took me a while to find a good faceclaim for Hundir, but I think John Rhys-Davies as Gimli from Lord of the Rings! Not as blond as my tiny ball of bear, but he’s small and covered in scruff, just like my boy!

The only character I don’t have a faceclaim for is Redren, since he’s completely original and I couldn’t find anybody androgynous enough! But please, if you have any suggestions, send ‘em my way!

DRAGON AGE ASKS: WARDEN + COMPANIONS

1. What did your Warden think of Wynne’s views on the Circle? Did they have different experiences regarding the Circle?

Teyveos had no prior experience with the Circle, but he had seen enough damage from the mages in the Dalish camps that he at least acknowledged that proper training was a requirement, even if he didn’t think the Circle itself wasn’t the way to go about it.

2. How did your Warden respond to Wynne’s comments if your Warden romanced someone? Did they tell her it was love or that the relationship was purely physical?

Teyveos was so in love with Morrigan that he’d have told anyone and everyone.  He would have told every single Dalish clan.  He would have told the rulers of every city.  He would have told you.  He certainly told Wynne.

3. How did your Warden feel about the Spirit of Faith within Wynne? Did they see it as possession?

Nah.  Tey honestly forgot that it was keeping her going, half the time.  Morrigan was much more disturbed at the concept.

4. Did your Warden go with Wynne to meet Aneirin, her one-time apprentice? What did they think of the encounter?

Tracking an elf somewhere in a forest for Wynne, his best healer and a friend who had already lost a son?  You better believe he did.  The encounter went very smoothly and peacefully, but Wynne cried later because she was so happy she was able to apologize and receive closure and Teyveos found himself unusually touched.

5. What did Wynne choose to do after the Blight was ended? Did your Warden  stay in touch with her?

I’m afraid to say they didn’t.  Teyveos had every intention of doing so and did try for a while, but long-distance correspondence between two traveling parties is tricky to keep up with at best.  Wynne, being the wise old bird she was, knew that they would inevitably lose touch and wasn’t bothered when it happened.  They always thought of each other with fondness, and when news of her death finally reached Tey, who was traveling on Warden business, he was deeply saddened.  I don’t think he ever learned that she found Rhys.
