41. Your Warden’s favourite companion? 

Her dog, he’s the only one who never does anything to annoy her. But out of the ones that can talk back, Alistair, since when he’s not being an idiot she does love him.

60. Who does your Warden put on the throne?

Anora. Quite apart from the fact that Alistair doesn’t want to be king, Anora has experience in ruling and doesn’t have a limited lifespan from the taint so Liadan definitely sees her as the best choice for Fereldan. However, they come to an agreement that until/unless Anora chooses to marry again and has an heir, Alistair will study politics and diplomacy so that should there ever be a need the line of succession is secure. 

67. If your Warden could go back in time to change one thing, what would they change?

Tamlen, without a doubt. She would drag him kicking and screaming from those tunnels if necessary, but she would keep him as far away from the mirror as possible.

I was tagged by @denerim​! This was really interesting and quite a challenge. It would be too long to do it for all my characters and their LIs, but here are a few:

★★★ for Liadan?

★ Lia chose vallaslin representing June because she has a talent for wood carving, and often relaxes in the evening by whittling little ornaments and trinkets. She used to give them to the children in her Clan, but after leaving they tend to languish at the bottom of her pack unless she’s made one with someone specifically in mind.

★ She has a surprising sweet tooth, and a particular fondness for Orlesian pastries, so she stocks up whenever she’s travelling through the country.

★ She kept Tamlen’s hunters’ amulet and still wears it to this day, and often finds herself touching or holding it when she’s worried or has to make an important decision.

O.O That is an overwhelmingly large list of numbers. Shit. Well. Hmm. Some seem fairly short, so I'm going to ask 7, 8, 14, 15, 16, and 18.

Hahaha, it is a very long list, but hopefully that’ll be what makes it fun!

7. Favourite DA:O backstory?

Oooh this is tough. My favourite’s probably the Dalish origin, because I am always a slut for Dalish elves and I love the angst with Tamlen and the mirror. I also love the way that origin ties in with DA2 and the series as a whole.

But, having said that, the city elf origin is amazing to play through, and I also love the angst in the dwarf noble origin and the way you then get to waltz back in to Orzammar like “Surprise, bitches, bet you thought you’d seen the last of me!”

8. Preferred class overall?

Rogue. I will always choose the class that lets me pick locks.

14. Favourite DA:O party combo?

My usual combo was Alistair, Leliana and Wynne, so I had a mix of front line/ranged fighting plus Wynne’s healing skills, and also they approved my choices more than the others :P 

15. Favourite DA:O companion overall?

Oh noooooo don’t make me choose it’s too haaaaaard, but probably either Alistair or Leliana although the more I’ve played it the more Zevran has grown on me.

16. DA:O: Did your Warden survive?

Okay, so the very first time I ever played it I made the ultimate sacrifice because I was like no way am I doing this sketchy dark magic ritual, this is a recipe for disaster. The next playthrough Alistair sacrificed himself for me [sob].

My canon Warden, Liadan Mahariel, though, does survive and does the ritual, because by the time it comes around she’s been hardened by her experiences and feels like she’s lost so much - Tamlen, her Clan, any choice in her future - and she’s spent so much time being hunted and blamed for Ostagar, and had the responsibility for saving the very people trying to kill her on to her shoulders. 

In the middle of all that, somehow, she managed to find a tiny piece of happiness with Alistair, but now suddenly she’s being told one of may have to die to end the Blight. She’s kind of bitter and resentful, so even though she knows it’s probably a bad idea and is very distrustful of the end result will be, she takes Morrigan’s offer because at that moment she just refuses to let anything else be taken from her.

18. Who did you choose to rule Fereldan?

First playthrough was Alistair, canon playthrough is Anora. Tbh I think realistically Anora is the better choice since she has experience of actually ruling the country, although if I hadn’t romanced Alistair I might have had them marry.

5. If your Inquisitor was a force of nature, what kind would they be? (hurricane, earthquake etc.)

Hmmm, I think maybe a rainstorm? 

6. What’s their alignment?

I’d say neutral good. She wants to make the world better and fairer, and her priority is helping people, but she’s willing to break rules where she needs to and where the rules are harming rather than helping.

15. Are they very fashion conscious or more practical?

Definitely more practical. Growing up in a clan moving from place to place means practicality is always the topmost priority; clothes should be functional before anything else. Coming to Orlais and the Winter Palace in particular was a huge shock for her because she had never seen such elaborate fashions before. 

It did make her more curious about clothes, though, and she’s become a little more conscious about what she wears since. She likes to look and feel nice, but she would still never wear anything was entirely form over function.

20. If they met, how would your Inquisitor get along with your Warden? Your Hawke?

Eilidh and Liadan Mahariel would get along well, I think. They would relate both in regards to their upbringing and being forced away from their Clans into positions of responsibility they never asked for, and the concerns that go along with that. I think Eilidh would look up to Liadan as well as a kind of role model, and Liadan would take that responsibility very seriously. Lia’s a much more stoic person that Eilidh, though, and because of what she’s been through less willing to give people the benefit of the doubt which might cause conflict.

Marian’s a lot less idealistic that Eilidh. Although she tries to do the right thing, she always expects the other shoe to drop or for things to blow up in her fact (sometimes literally, thanks Anders). So, unless her back’s up against the wall, in which case she’ll fight like hell, if she thinks there’s a good chance of things going badly she doesn’t have a problem saying no. Eilidh, on the other hand, always wants to at least try. But I think they would have a healthy respect for one another, even like each other, although they might occasionally butt heads over the best thing to do in a given situation.
