got my reading table / crystal collection show off table set up!

Argh I hate to be one of those but for my fellow crystal witches, I may have a problem.

So, I bought some phenacite this weekend and I got super excited to get it because it’s so hard to find otherwise. The store’s been reputable in the past (save for a little pet peeve of calling rhondochrosinite, rhondinite) and I can’t feel shit off this crystal.

I’m really worried I picked up a fake especially for the price I paid but I was expecting it to be like, “in your face” like moldavite.

I’m just wondering if perhaps it just needs a good, deep cleaning (it’s been in salt overnight and I just saged it and it feels a little different but not much) or if, by some sucky chance I did pick up a fake?

What if in this Era 3 time, more gems open themselves up to the possibility of having children? In this new era gems are allowed to have love as they please, even permafusing without punishment like Topaz and Rhondinite. Since they’re allowed to love and form bonds previously outlawed, I wonder if they’ll want to have families?

Obviously many probably already have a found family (think Lapis and Peridot, the Famethysts, the Rose quartz, etc) but I think as they learn more about earth culture they’ll be exposed to the idea of raising kids. If gems are working in restaurants and on the boardwalk, they’ve seen kids, and maybe some are even babysitters in a daycare or on their own. I doubt it’d be super common but I can see a gem maybe wanting to raise a kid. This could be through adoption of a little human (with the help of adult humans teaching how to properly care for said baby) which I find most likely, I doubt many gems truly do want to give up their life. We also have seen gems bond and care for organic life forms, like Lapis and Peridot with pumpkin! So it’s probably not too out of nature for them.

But as they interact with humans, I can see another gem possibly falling in love with a human. And should that human ever have dreams of having a kid, well I think the gem in the relationship migh consider giving their form up for that. They’d probably having to figure out the specifics on how to make that work on their own, but since every gem is aware of Steven they know that it’s possible.

Idk, my brain is just constantly thinking today.
