Well, here's to another group of fictional men that will never be mine🥂I feel like I'm starting to sound like a broken record at this point, but I truly loved everything about this book (well aside from the killer cliffy, boooo👎🏾). But let me start by saying that I went into this story with absolutely ZERO knowledge of what it was about. I came across this several times in one of my Facebook book groups (slightly cringe I know, don't judge me), and figured hmmm might as well. For starters, this is apparently a Beauty and the Beast retelling with a twist. The twist you ask? There's four painstakingly hot princes instead of one😈 I'm not going to go into details, considering most of know the general premise of Beauty and the Beast, but what I will say is, this is NOT your average Disney fairytale (thanking the Goddesses above for that one🙏🏾). Anyways, let me tell you what this story does have:

-4 insanely hot fae princes☑️

-4 insanely hot fae princes that ALSO turn into wolves☑️

-Faeries☑️✨🧚

-SPICE☑️😮‍💨🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️

-A real plot☑️

This book is honestly any fantasy romance lover's dream, and I'll leave it at that. Now with that being said, I do suggest you to check the trigger warnings before starting, as there is some mention of past trauma and abuse in a previous relationship. Although I didn't think it was anything too heavy, but then again, I'm more of a 'the darker the better' kinda girl👀

“Grandmother is visiting,” Damian suddenly said with no warning and with his usual not-quite demanding tone. 

“Who?” Tim wasn’t the only one to startle, seeing as Bruce had practically froze, a downturn to his lips in a silent show of confusion. 

Damian scowled. “Are you deaf Drake? Grandmother is coming to Gotham to, quote, make sure I am being properly cared for.” None of them had known that Ras was with anyone actually. At least Tim was pretty sure that would have been in the files. 

“Oh?” Dick didn’t quite crouch to Damian’s height but it was a near thing. “She-” “He,” Damian corrected, interrupting him. They all exchanged a glance before Dick continued. 

“Is he coming to the Manor or…” 

Damian scoffed again, a tiny bit of a flush against his face. “No, Grandmother will most likely be staying with Akhi-”

sissi i totally agree with you about the current state of romantasy books! i love a classic fantasy book, where romance is much more of a subplot. but sometimes i'm really craving a romance forward fantasy, but actually finding a good one nowadays is abysmal. i know it's partially a personal taste thing, but there is so much insta-love/attraction in romantasy books and i'm like where is the yearning! where is the pining! there's no build up of tension and it's such a bummer. and then also the plot is usually completely thrown out the window to focus on the romance. which i get romantasy is meant to be romance heavy, but i would like a little plot please 😭

no, honestly!! there is literally NO plot, it's just romance in a fantasy setting. except even romance books should have a plot, so it's just vibes and vague worldbuilding with some magical elements. that's it. everyone is super hot and extra badass and they're the most in love to ever be in love. YAWN

and it's a fucking shame because on paper, I should love romantasy. I like fantasy books, and I like it when they're romance-heavy (not the main or sole focus, but I don't mind if it's a large part of it) but the romance should be GOOD! ugh it makes me so mad/sad because I wanna like romantasy so bad!! I just can't 😔

(side note: if you have any romantasy books that are good, please let me know!! I'll gladly take some recs from anyone <3)

AMAZING. Literally amazing. Like, easily one of my top 5 reads this year amazing. Never in a million years would I have predicted a sequel to be better than the original, and let's be clear. I adored the first book! The writing? Chef's kiss👩🏾‍🍳😘The plot? EXCEPTIONAL. The spice??? Out of this god d@mn world😩 And while we're at it, let's have a round of applause for Rosalina's character growth. I honestly thought she was a pretty solid FMC to begin with, but I don't know, something about her growth throughout this book made me love her even more. She's resilient, loving, and knows what she wants, and I'm 100% here for it! Now, let's get into the characters y'all really want to hear about......THE MEN. Amazing. I'm not sure if I have ever loved a a group of fictional men more than I love Rosie's harem. Don't get me wrong, they have their flaws, and some of them are stupidly and selfishly stubborn (Keldarion, this one goes out to you boo!), but I love them all nonetheless. I've said it a million times before and I'll say it again, I like my fictional men moody, stubborn, and wickedly hot. SUE ME🤷🏾‍♀️. I would also like to take this moment to shout out our (supposed) villain, Caspian, Prince of Thorns. Morally gray and hot as all sin. That's it. Let me also toss out a few things this book has:

redid the top and bottom shelf a bit so that i have some more room :) core lagoona, clawdeen, and ghoulia as well as coffee break deuce got banished to my closet with my rainbow high dolls (which. now that i think about it i should probably sell those. theyve been in there since like. 2022)

i also freed up two of my clear stands, so thats a win

Does anyone know if there's anything other than this? I'm assuming the gap in lore stuff between 2018 and 2024 is from adding junker queen content, but I'm not as familiar w stuff relating to her... (I know junk & hog show up in jq-specific lore stuff occasionally but not substantially afaik)
