Decals are on. Eduard decals are just quality I must say. I only put a little of softer to make sure I can weather them later or and revise the panel lines. Paint in progress. Using mainly MRP paints, lacker and acrylic. I must recommend it because it is a problem free airbrush paint, and the pigments are good quality. Here we can see the underbelly done plus staring with the main cammo... notice the strong yellow, it will have to be tone down with washes and filters. I can’t wait to start the weathering 😎. One engine done, another half way. Eduard has done a pretty good job with them... just to be completely covered by the fuselage at the next step. Not option given to show it, so one has to decide to follow the instructions and cover it or scratch build the hatch somehow to make it visible. Rust and metal effects done with @officialflorymodels washes and @Tamiya panel line wash. Some test fitting and finishing cockpit number two with photo etched. I decided to weathered the cockpit with strong features since once all in place it will be hardly visible due to the limited view. I have used some dark acrylics washes as well as panel liners. The seat is being mainly paint with oils to give it that worn out look. Sorting out the 13mm MG131 machine guns before spraying job. Those precision little drills do the job.. I would say the hole is about half a millimetre. More progress on the office. The absolute tiny PE parts were put on the dashboard... all of them not measuring more than a millimetre or two. A challenge to the pulse!. I also noticed that Eduard seats were a bit vague, not even a cushion to stick to the base so I have made my own one from good old putty. The trick is to let it dry enough to hold the texture/weathered lines and reshape the putty until desired effect. Then it will be painted and weathered with oils for that little extra used look. Left side done. The throttle handle was another millimetre challenge. On the instructions stated to make the handle with some piece of plastic but I decided to go for more realistic effect and made it with metal. I still with have to paint it and weather it.
