@roszabell asked me to post this and I delivered
Hetalia Characters as things said by my college friend group:
America: “Just because I haven’t had sex doesn’t mean I don’t know the basic components of it! I wasn’t in the Revolutionary War but I still know what happened. I know how it started- I know the foreplay, and the aftercare is just the Constitution. It’s not that complicated of an issue.
Canada: “Yeah I could take down a moose. If I can dive quick and tap it in the nuts it’ll go down guys, trust me. I’m a moose expert.”
England: “You look like a guy in the 1940s being drafted for war. Why are you mad, at least I didn’t call you British. I held back just for you.”
France: “What if I want to be a rich bitch? Is that respectable?”
Spain: “If my parents had told me they were having another kid, I would just say no. I’m the princess here bitch.”
Romano: “vapes are so gross. If you’re going to be addicted to nicotine, at least smoke a cigarette like a real man.”
Germany: “How did I, as a twenty year old man become the mother figure. And why am I doing it so well?”
Prussia: “Just Dance? Bet. If I’m making money, I’ll twerk like there’s no tomorrow.”
Italy: *very confidently* “Some people like hard liquor and I like fruits in my yogurt! I see no difference.”
China: “I know how to tell if there is inflation. It’s determined by dip in dots prices”
Japan: “I’m just staring at the goldfish crackers… and they’re staring… back at me.”
Russia: “anything is possible if you believe in yourself and that if that includes you deepthroating your ice cream… then who am I to judge I guess.”
Austria: “I can assure you that people twerked and got down hard to Ode to Joy and absolutely should continue to do so. Shit slaps.”
Hungary: “I’m gonna beat you with my shoe out of love.”
Denmark: “Well you know what else bitch??? You’re mom- I mean my mom- your mom- my-your- fuck I-”
Lithuania: “I drink black coffee cause I need ✨validation✨.”

i was catching up with the jojo siwa antics and in all the videos i've watched they refer to her admiration and emulation of miley cyrus's transition into adult popstardom (her bangerz era specifically) as "poorly executed" and "cringe" and i'm like okay... i guess we all remember that miley era differently because when she was out here twerking with a backup group consisting almost entirely of black women and little people and then later returned to whiteness and blamed south philly weed on her momentary blackening, That Was Cringe Too! the issue is not that she's attempting something revolutionary and just botching it, she's attempting something cringe and ending up just as cringe
#me#also she and her mother need to be sued#'she's trying to do miley and failing' miley also... failed gjjalgjaslgjslg;a

‘The Old Drift’ Is a Dazzling Debut Spanning Four Generations
By Dwight Garner
March 25, 2019
Namwali Serpell’s audacious first novel, “The Old Drift,” is narrated in small part by a swarm of mosquitoes — “thin troubadours, the bare ruinous choir” — who declare themselves “man’s greatest nemesis.”
They’re a pipsqueak chorus, a thrumming collective intelligence, a comic and subversive hive mind. They are here to puncture, if you will, humanity’s pretensions.
“The Old Drift” is an intimate, brainy, gleaming epic, set mostly in what is now Zambia, the landlocked country in southern Africa. It closely tracks the fortunes of three families (black, white, brown) across four generations.
The plot pivots gracefully — this is a supremely confident literary performance — from accounts of the region’s early white colonizers and despoilers through the worst years of the AIDS crisis. It pushes into the near future, proposing a world in which flocking bug-size microdrones are a) fantastically cool and b) put to chilling totalitarian purposes.
Serpell’s mosquitoes observe the dozens of wriggling humans in this novel, and they are distinctly unimpressed. We were here before you, they imply. We will be here long after you are gone. In the meantime, thanks for the drinks.
The reader who picks up “The Old Drift” is likely to be more than simply impressed. This is a dazzling book, as ambitious as any first novel published this decade. It made the skin on the back of my neck prickle.
Serpell seems to want to stuff the entire world into her novel — biology, race, subjugation, revolutionary politics, technology — but it retains a human scale. It is filled with love stories, greedy sex (“my heart twerks for you,” one character comments), pot smoke, comedy, inopportune menstruation, car crashes, tennis, and the scorching pleasure and pain of long hours in hair salons.
Serpell is a Zambian writer; she was born in that country and moved to the United States with her family when she was nine. She teaches literature at the University of California, Berkeley.
There’s a vein of magical realism in her work — one woman cries almost literal rivers, another has hair that covers nearly her entire body and that grows several feet a day — that will spark warranted comparisons to novels such as Salman Rushdie’s “Midnight’s Children” and Gabriel García Márquez’s “One Hundred Years of Solitude.”
Serpell does not try to charm her readers to death. Her men and women are not cute (except, sometimes, to each other), and they are not caricatures. Even the most virulent racists in “The Old Drift” aren’t one-dimensional.
Serpell is a pitiless and often very funny observer of people and of society. She describes polo as “that strange game that seems like a drunken bet about golf and horse riding.” A man on a leather sofa is commended for “expertly unlocking that complex apparatus — a clothed woman.”
She offers this definition of “history”: “the word the English used for the record of every time a white man encountered something he had never seen and promptly claimed it as his own, often renaming it for good measure.”
Here she is on a young white woman in Zambia: “She seemed both weak and imperious, helpless yet haughty. In a word: British.”
This is a matrilineal epic. It is packed with grandmothers, mothers, daughters. They are hardly placed on pedestals or lit by false, ennobling, autumnal light. They’re all struggling. Some drop out of school, steal or dabble with skin-whitening creams. Some open businesses, others turn to prostitution. Still others turn to protest. Nearly all are hoping to find love and, in the interim, to avoid being raped.
This book is intensely concerned with women’s bodies. Dissertations will surely be written about the multiple meanings of hair in this novel. We’ve learned too much from male writers about what it’s like to walk the planet guided and plagued by one’s reproductive apparatus. This novel, with wit and sensitivity, flips and revises that familiar script.
One young woman gets her period on her wedding day. Her friends, her family, the many guests — they’re all here. “All she wanted,” Serpell writes, “was to be at home in bed, curled in a ball, alone and quietly bleeding.”
Serpell is keenly interested in olfactory information. She lingers on people and places and scent. In one scene, a blind woman smells eucalyptus and knows she is nearly home. In another, a mother dislikes her daughter’s “new teenagery smell,” described as “a melony-lemony-biscuity scent that Adriana found both puerile and daunting.”
The plot of “The Old Drift” is not simple to unpack. The book begins, at the start of the 20th century, at a colonial settlement on the banks of the Zambezi River called the Old Drift. A dam is being constructed that will change many lives, a dam that some will wish to bring down.
The first women we meet, beginning around 1940, are: Sibilla, a white girl so unusually hirsute that at one point later in life she will be referred to as “an NGO for hair”; Agnes, a “pale, mad” and blind British girl who marries a black professor and engineer; and Matha, a bright girl whose prospects collapse after she becomes pregnant. She is this novel’s copious weeper, “the heartbreak queen of Kalingalinga.”
We get to know their daughters. One operates “Hi-Fly Haircuttery & Designs Ltd” (and perhaps a shadier business); another is a stewardess who once had artistic ambitions. One of these daughters has a long affair with a doctor who is working on a vaccine for H.I.V.
About a potential vaccine, we get shrewd snippets of dialogue like this one: “‘Beta version,’ Naila scoffed. ‘They should just say black version. They’re testing it on us.’”
The third generation goes on to work on microdrones, on further AIDS research and on political protest, seeking redress for the wrongs of history. One character also works on the vexing future of wearable technology — digital beadlike chips, implanted into the skin, that with the help of permanent tattoos of conductive ink turn one’s hands into approximations of smartphones.
“Government is controlling us,” one character says near the end of the novel. “And the worst part is — we chose this. We held our hands out to them and said PLEASE BEAD US!”
Serpell carefully husbands her resources. She unspools her intricate and overlapping stories calmly. Small narrative hunches pay off big later, like cherries coming up on a slot machine.
Yet she’s such a generous writer. The people and the ideas in “The Old Drift,” like dervishes, are set whirling. When that whirling stops, you can hear the mosquitoes again. They’re still out there.
They sound like tiny drones. They sound like dread.

Good in Badu
"I tied it in a way that compared the assassination to the character assassination one would go through after showing his or her self completely.
That's exactly the action I wanted to display.
Badu rejected the notion she was disrespecting JFK." "JFK is one of my heroes, one of the nation's heroes. John F. Kennedy was a revolutionary. He was not afraid to butt heads with America. And I was not afraid to show America my butt-naked truth."

BIRTHDAY SUIT......
‘Queen’ turns 53 in style Badu performs with Thundercat, Rapsody at Deep Ellum bash By STEPHANIE SALAS-VEGA Staff Writer Erykah Badu celebrated her 53rd birthday in Dallas on Saturday with a lineup of special guests including Grammy-winning bassist Thundercat and Grammy-nominated rapper Rapsody. Another Badu Birthday Bash once again took place at The Factory in Deep Ellum. The “Queen of Neo-Soul,” in a nod to reaching 53 years of age, called her video game-inspired party “Level 53 Final Boss.” (Her birthday is Monday.) As in past years, Badu invited a star-studded lineup to perform at her birthday show. Her sister Nayrock and self-proclaimed hip-hop oracle Bootz Durango, who pulled two fans onstage for a twerking competition, hosted the event. Guest performers included Rapsody, hip-hop DJ and producer The Alchemist, rapper Larry June, Dos Negros, and Thundercat. Badu is infamous for starting her sets hours later than planned, but she didn’t leave the crowd waiting too long this year. She was onstage by 10:40 p.m., performing fan favorite tracks such as “On & On,” “Appletree” and “Window Seat.” In the last half hour of the show, her children joined her onstage, where her daughter Puma serenaded her with “Happy Birthday.” Before wrapping up, Badu performed with Rapsody and secret guest performer Thundercat. Earlier in the week, DART unveiled new Badu-inspired buses and trains as part of a collaboration with the Dallas native. Three buses and two trains adorned with artwork and images of Badu will be seen throughout the transit agency’s service area until the end of the year. My Artist Influence: Riovaz Is Rebel Dance Music And I´m Twerking
I always find it fascinating when Rolling Stone picks up a new ¨rebel artist.¨ If there is one thing the illustrious mag understands it is how to commercialize revolutionary or mainstream ¨ëdginess¨. They always pluck out the next big hit that will sound and feel like a giant middle finger to the establishment while, technically, being apart of it. From Yung Blud to Omar Apollo, they do not miss…

although , the pun was a good one . tristan was too far gone to process it before jumping to the next thing in his mind . twerking against a pole becoming somewhat of a distant memory to an already chaotic mind . ❛ ricky , why would i want to sit down when i have all these amazing moves to show off ? ❜ did he really ? not at all . . . all his dance moves being far from 𝐃𝐄𝐂𝐄𝐍𝐓 . but that didn't stop the high energy the male was feeling as he put his arms outstretched and began swaying them around . ❛ this ones inspired by kellan's killer shawl . ❜ the brunette spoke , continuing to dramatically sway his arms while swaying back and forth . going along with whatever music was 𝐁𝐋𝐀𝐒𝐓𝐈𝐍𝐆 in the background . at this point , it didn't really matter what type of music was playing . no matter if it was his type or not , he was on a whole different planet . ❛ have you met kellan ? feel like you'd like him . maybe i should invite him to hang with us some day . ❜ tristan continued to ramble as he continued with the so called dance move .
feeling pretty chilled and comfortable around ricky being that she really was someone he considered himself insanely close to . her being a part of his life that was more 𝐒𝐄𝐏𝐄𝐑𝐀𝐓𝐄 from everything else going on in their lives . from all the money , the spotlight , the attention . away from all the quote unquote 𝐅𝐀𝐊𝐄𝐍𝐄𝐒𝐒 that came with money , spotlight and attention . she'd more than likely seen him when he was a hell of a lot worse than he currently was . when he was up to even more disastrous things than twerking against a metal pole . but that didn't matter , the point being , there was no embarrassment there . stopping , he walked over to the girl . raising his hands up to her shoulder and shaking a bit . ❛ here me out , i have a fucking 𝐆𝐑𝐄𝐀𝐓 idea . ❜ ( debatable , ) either way , he was still going to say it . his mind once again jumping from one thing to the next . ❛ a statement piece ! fucking spray paint some shit . fuck the mainstream ! burn some shit to the ground ! some real woodstock '99 type shit . ❜ the idea seemed revolutionary in his head . . . although some of his comments were clearly dramatized and idiotic . . . but that was besides the point . . . the drugs clearly not helping anything .
Her father had gotten her tickets, probably an attempt to bribe her to show to an event at a later date, or another I'm sorry I haven't called you in three months, and she had begrudgingly accepted them. Out of all of the unnecessary gifts her parents had thrown at her over the last two decades, Ricky had to admit a music festival wasn't the worst place to be. She was more into the grungy, rock, women led bands, but without looking at the setlist she could only hope there would be someone that fit her style playing at some point. For the time being, at least she could get drunk and look good. And maybe run into someone actually interesting. And she had to say, watching Tristan grind on a pole wasn't not interesting. He was having the kind of fun she wished she was at the moment, but not quite buzzed enough for that. "Your soulmate is a bit of a stick in the mud," she joked, but no laughter followed as her eyes searched his face. As much as she hated to be a party pooper, and would be pissed if someone got in her way when she was on his level, she didn't particularly want to watch him drink and drug himself into oblivion. "Yeah, I don't know, man," she admitted, though she'd much rather head to the bar than play babysitter, "I'm thinking maybe you should sit down for a minute."

What The Hell Is Satanism? The Backstory, The Beliefs, And The A-To-Z On Devil Worshippers
4 days ago, Nike decided to sue a small indie art collective based in New York.
This isn’t news. This isn’t the first time a profit-mongering fashion-giant has targeted businesses trying to make a name for themselves. And it won’t be the last.
But this time, there’s probably something else influencing the executives reclining on their plush leather seats: they said it was because MSCHF stamped on the Nike Swoosh. But we all know what the real problem was:
These kicks were soaked with Satanic imagery - oh, and a single drop of human blood.
"MSCHF and its unauthorised Satan Shoes are likely to cause confusion and dilution and create an erroneous association between MSCHF's products and Nike”
Translation: no, we don’t want to be associated with devil worshippers.
Satan and his followers have once again hit the press following Lil Nas X’s latest viral YouTube hit and release of his custom footwear. And he does the belief system - and the LGBTQA+ community - justice.
But Satanism goes much deeper than pole dancing your way to hell.
It goes deeper than the fears of your evangelical aunt, it goes deeper than the rumours of a sacrificial ritual that happened in the woods outside of town, and it goes deeper than QAnon conspiracy theories.
Today we explore what Satanism really is. And what it really isn’t.
*twerks towards hell*
What Is Satanism?
Satanism is a group of modern religions that are centred around Satan, an entity in Abrahamic religions (e.g. Christianity and Judaism) that rebelled against God, has power over Hell and demons, and seduces humans into sin. Satan features in a vast number of major religions: he started off in Zoroastrianism, then making his way to Judaism, Islam, and Christianity. But the modern followers of Satanism are inspired by the Christian fallen angel and ruler of hell.
A large proportion of Satanists follow atheistic Satanism - they don’t necessarily believe in an entity but follow a philosophy that focuses on individualism and satisfying the ego, or rebel specifically against the dominance of Christianity in Western society.
Although Satan is typically considered the embodiment of evil, most strands of Satanism are not. However, there are some groups that fit this mould like the Order of the Nine Angles: they’re neo-Nazis.
The actual worship of Satanism only began just over 50 years ago, in 1966. But the use of the term ‘Satanist’ stretches back centuries further. Calling someone a ‘Satanist’ (or something to that effect) was an insult reserved for those that disagreed with a Christian group’s beliefs.
A Not-very-brief-but-look-I-tried-ok History Of Satanism
Here’s the thing about Satanism: at one point in history, every religious group was deemed Satanist.
You see, that’s how it all started.
Even the term ‘Satan’ originally meant ‘adversary’. It didn’t necessarily refer to a horned, evil ex-angel once scorned by the Almighty. It meant ‘other’; it was just an insult. It wasn’t created by groups of men draped in blood red robes preparing to slaughter a virgin to their ungodly master - Satanism was actually created by Christians.
The word ‘Satanism’ was first recorded in French and English literature back in the 16th century. Against the backdrop of the Reformation (when the Western Christian Church split off into Protestantism, Catholicism, and other more niche shards) rival religious groups would label each other with such terms frequently in various tracts and texts.
It was not to say that Protestants, for example, were actively worshipping Satan but were instead deviating from what Catholics thought was true Christianity. By ‘incorrectly’ serving God, they were supporting Satan’s claim to ruin the world with sin and evil.
*Disney villain laugh*
In the 19th century it broadened to encompass anyone that lived an immoral lifestyle and was thus serving Satan’s will. But in this same century it evolved yet again.
Yep, it’s time to introduce the actual Satanists: texts began to emerge that mention people that revered and worshipped Satan. It took a long 300 years for Satanists to reclaim their title. But the story doesn’t end here: this is a really important theme that runs like blood through the history of Satanism. Or, rather, the history of religious prejudice and persecution.
Throughout, well, all of human history, we have been swept up unto the belief that there is a dark, evil force lurking within our communities. The most recent example claims Joe Biden and his Democrat friends are Satan-worshipping baby-eating America-hating pedophiles. The fears of a discrete force that can hide at will fits the descriptors of the Judeo-Christian devil. And so, it had been applied to persecuted groups for centuries.
The Witch Trials and the Spanish Inquisition are the most famous examples of this. Satanism evolved in the Medieval era to scapegoat certain groups or to reinforce social norms by emphasising the apparently very real fight between good and evil.
Narratives of the French Revolution at the time were contorted with rumours of revolutionaries being part of a secret Satanic conspiracy. This revolution struck a blow to the power of the Catholic church, and some fingers pointed towards the dark lord of hell himself. Some even believed these revolutionaries had amassed supernatural powers to curse people and shape-shift into various creature ‘n’ critters like cats or fleas!
In the 20th century, another historical shift took place. And this time it (supposedly) happened from within the secret societies themselves: non-fiction authors and tabloids began to recount the allegations of people who once claimed to have been part of Satanic groups before converting to Christianity.
Doreen Irvine claimed she was given the ability to levitate amongst other witchy-powers. But Irvine’s claims sent shockwaves across the pond in the US. Much more horrific allegations were about to take centre stage. In the 1980s this would reach its climax with the Satanic Panic:
Also known as the Satanism Scare, the book Michelle Remembers (1980) detailed the alleged repressed memories of a psychiatrist’s patient which claimed they had been abused as a child for Satanic rituals. In these rituals, babies would be sacrificed and Satan would appear.
Reports of sexual child abuse for these rituals - known as Satanic Ritual Abuse - proliferated until the 1983 case made against the McMartin family. The McMartins owned a preschool in California and were allegedly sexually abusing the children in their care for ritualistic purposes. A lengthy trial ensued and the McMartins were eventually cleared of all charges.
But it was too late.
An evangelical anti-Satanism movement emerged claiming no children would lie about such claims and therefore all accused must be guilty. A conspiracy theory similar to those before emerged claiming SRA was rampant across the US, but it lost momentum by the turn of the 90s. Various investigations by the FBI and British government looked into SRA but found no evidence of Satanism or rituals in any cases of child abuse. Some lone cases of pedophiles did involve rituals, but these were isolated events that never involved Satanist groups.
The 7 Types Of Satanism
Satanism is an umbrella term to describe a vast array of religious groups. There’s a swirling sea of beliefs from the philosophical Satanists that don’t actually believe in Satan to the minority groups that are willing to sacrifice humans in the name of worshipping their god.
However, this ocean does share a common focus on individualism, self-perception, and non-conformity - traditional traits associated with the devil.
There are 3 forms of Satanism: reactive (attempts to invert Christianity and celebrates rebellion), rationalist (atheist and materialistic beliefs), and esoteric (actually worships Satan and draws upon religions like Paganism and western Esotericism).
The Church of Satan kick-started modern Satanism. Erected in 1966, Anton LaVey promoted an atheistic philosophy that focused on indulgence and an ‘eye for an eye’ ethical code that celebrated mankind as animals in an amoral world. Hate and aggression were not wrong but were advantageous for one’s survival. Yes, the seven deadly sins were actually beneficial for the individual.
The First Satanic Church was founded on Halloween night in 1999 by the daughter of Anton LaVey after his church was taken over by a new administration that Karla deemed against her father’s work.
The Satanic Temple is an atheist-activist group that stages political ‘pranks’ that rebel against the political and social dominance of Christianity. They aim to showcase religious hypocrisy in stunts such as performing a ‘Pink Mass’ over the grave of a Westboro Baptist Church goer (known for their explicit and offensive signs). They use Satan as a metaphor to rebel against a society that restricts personal autonomy and curiosity.
Luciferianism is a belief system that pivots around the characteristics associated with Lucifer. Followers believe Lucifer is the illuminated aspect of Satan, thus considering themselves Satanists. But some believe he is a more positive force than Satan. They follow the ancient myths of Egypt, Rome, and western Occultism. They consider him the true god - a destroyer but also a ‘light-bringer’ to the world.
The Temple of Set does not necessarily revere Satan by instead a being they call Set. Satan was the corrupted name of set, an entity that is the one true god. It gave humanity intellectual abilities to separate it from animals and they believe in a Setian philosophy with self-deification as the aim of all humanity.
The Order of the Nine Angles was inspired by ancient Pagan groups resident in Shropshire in the late 60s. But the founder of the group, Anton Long, is considered the pseudonym of neo-Nazi David Myatt. They encourage human sacrifice as a part of rituals and several members have joined the police and the military to do this without getting caught. The ONA is linked to several rapes, murders, cases of child abuse, and right-wing terrorism. They are also connected to several neo-nazi terror organisations.
The Joy Of Satan - contrary to its name - ain’t joyful. It’s an Occultist group that combines Satanism, Paganism, and UFO conspiracy theories. Just like the ONA, they’re Nazis. They believe Satan is one of many demonic deities which are powerful humanoid extraterrestrial beings which are equated with ancient gods. They believe Satan created humanity and brought us knowledge.
Reactivism isn’t a form of Satanism that is followed by an organised group but rather practiced on a personal, isolated level. It is considered an anti-social means of rebelling in a society dominated by Christianity. Most reactive Satanists are adolescents, mentally-disturbed, and have taken part in criminal activity associated with Satanic rituals they discovered through personal learning.
For example, in the 1970s two groups of teenagers in LA and Big Sur killed 3 people and ate parts of their corpses as a part of rituals devoted to Satan. Plotted murder and cannibalism are common traits of reactive Satanist crimes.
The A-To-Z Of Devil Worship
Baphomet
A deity that the Knights Templar allegedly worshipped. It is associated with the Sabbatic Goat which represents the equilibrium of opposites (half-man and half-goat, male and female, good and evil).
Black Mass
It is traditionally known as a requiem mass (funeral mass) in the Roman Catholic church from which the celebrants wear black clothes. However, it has been appropriated by Satanic cults. It often involves a naked woman as an altar and is the site of various Satanic magical rituals.
Cutter vs Wilkinson
A Supreme Court case which claimed federal funds cannot deny prisoners accommodations that are needed to engage in religious practices. Five residents of an Ohio prison including a member of a white supremacist Christian church, a Wiccan, and a Satanist filed the suit, claiming the officials failed to accommodate their ‘nonmainstream’ religions.
Devil
The personification of evil which shows up in many different religions. It is Satan in Abrahamic texts.
Demon
A supernatural entity often associated with evil. The original Greek word - daimon - did not have negative connotations.
Demonology
The study of demons.
Demonolatry
The worship of demons.
Goats
Satanism is always associated with goats. But why? There are several reasons: Baphomet is half-man, half-goat; the ‘infernal goat’ is depicted in many witches’ sabbats; Pagan traditions involved horned gods Christian forces deemed devilish; and the tarot card depicting the devil is a goat. In 1966, the church of Satan adopted baphomet as the sigil.
Lucifer
The name of mythological and religious figures associated with Venus. It is associated in the Christian tradition with Satan as he supposedly fell from heaven. Often called ‘the morning star’ or described as ‘light bringing’.
Stanislaw Przybyszewski
The first guy to promote a Satanic philosophy.

While "reverse racism" is obviously a dumb concept in the vast majority spread by racists and white supremacists, do you think there's any validity to the idea of "reverse colonization?" The idea that black people and culture are being superimposed over the currently dominating white culture?
First off, there's a fine irony in calling Black people living side by side with white people "reverse colonization", considering that white people were the ones who transported the ancestors of those Black people halfway around the globe as slaves.
And then there's this bit about Black culture "being superimposed over the currently dominating white culture". Much of that is really just white people appropriating Black culture, the way we've always done. Again, you're taking a phenomenon instigated by whites and acting as if it's something happening to us.
No, let's have some actual Black colonization of white culture. I have this fantasy where a broad coalition (consisting of all non-whites and some progressive whites) has decided to tackle systemic racism in a far more aggressive way. The result is a number of Racial Justice policies, some of which are aimed at uprooting the stranglehold of white culture.
This would change the curriculum of elementary school and high school. Instead of language classes in French or German, whites would be learning to talk Ebonics. Instead of history classes focusing on the Greek and Roman empires and the Revolutionary War, we would be learning about the Egyptian Empire and the Black Power Movement. Arts classes wouldn't teach us about Mozart or contemporary white music, but about Rap and R&B.
Physical Education classes would be very different for white girls than for other races and genders. No volleyball or baseball for us; we'd be practicing hip-hop dancing, strippercise, and twerking.
Cultures have always influenced each other. But in my fantasy, the influence would no longer be up to whites to decide.

We can only recapture the revolutionary spirit once we shake off the twerking, saggy pants, whores and thugish spirits
50 years ago, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. is killed by an assassin’s bullet in Memphis Tennessee. "Our only hope today lies in our ability to recapture the revolutionary spirit and go out into a sometimes hostile world declaring eternal hostility to poverty, racism, and militarism." From a speech given in NYC on April 4, 1967, one year before his death.

You know, I remember some years ago when Nicki Minaj was really big on tumblr and most people were like "yas queen! Nicki is a feminist twerking goddess! She is so sexy revolutionary!" or "Nicki is objectifying women! She shouldn't be showing her ass to kids!"... and frankly, I never understood the big deal? Maybe cause I was brazilian and brazilian funk already had it's peak at that moment, but I was like:
Americans: *creating polemics over Nicki Minaj*
Me, a brazilian, thinking to myself: they don't even know what "surra de bunda" is...
#just so you know is when a guy sits on the floor and a woman gets on 4 in front of him#then she puts her feet over the guy's shoulders and twerks so her ass keeps slapping/hitting the guy's face#nicki minaj#tumblr#music#the funk group that made this move did it in 2010 I think?#funk#btw I don't like brazilian funk#but it kind desensibilized me to twerking#rambles

What do you think are some underappreciated Glee episodes?
This is a good last question for the night :)
Bad Reputation (1x15) - I think there are a lot of funny things going on but it’s often ignored because there aren’t any big, plot revolutionary moments in it. I also think the humor is in the music, which might have been lost a little on a general audience.
Duets (2x04) - I mean, people do praise it, but I think it’s a magnificently written episode, and an episode where they use the entire ensemble well, where everyone has a rather strong and balanced arc. The production level of Glee was always iffy, but this one nails it.
Sexy (2x15) - There’s a very mature and open minded conversation about sex in multiple forms in this episode and I think since it’s squished between Blame It on the Alcohol and Original Song it gets a little lost, but it’s just as strong an episode for a lot of good reasons
Heart (1x13) - Glee’s Valentine’s episodes were exceptionally strong -- it seemed to be the one time of year when they really understood how to use their ensemble in a good way. It’s a little overshadowed by Silly Love Songs and I Do (and even Tested) but it’s a highlight in a somewhat abysmal sea of episodes.
Makeover (4x03) - It sets up The Break Up, so it is a little hard to comeback to, but there is a lot of great Blaine and Kurt stuff in here, but not often remembered as being a great story for the both of them.
A Katy or a Gaga and The End of Twerk (5x04-5x05) - The first one is actually incredibly funny, while the second one has a very poignant Unique story. Both of them have fantastic Kurt subplots. True, they’re both a little outlandish, but they are also sitting in the shadow of The Quarterback
Frenemies and Trio (5x09-5x10) - These are both solid episodes with some really great plot lines. Yeah, the Rachel/Santana fight gets slightly irritating as it plays out, and the most frustrating part is that this is where you can tell the show is really stalling to get to 100, but I’ll still stand by the fact these are still really enjoyable episodes.
Most of Season 6; With the exception of episodes 9 and 10, and a little bit of bumpiness, the whole season is really fantastic, and is often dismissed because didn’t go where people wanted it to go and feels very different from what the show once was.
Some runners up, where there are still things I had problems with within the episode so they didn’t make my main list, but maybe not as bad as people think; Mattress (1x12); Furt (2x08); Yes/No (3x10); Saturday Night Gleever (3x16); Choke (3x18); Swan Song (4x09); Feud (4x16)
If I didn’t mention it -- it means I think it got the praise (or the criticism) it deserves :)

Let’s Start A Riot (2008)
I want to start out by saying that while this album came out in 2008 so some of the stuff I reference may not have happened yet, the lyrics show that he had the ideas.
Also while some of these may seem like nothing, or very minor, given the things Dahvie has said I think that it’s important to look at everything he has chosen to put out to gain fans. The messages his fans are getting.
I Can’t Get Enuff
I’ll hit you harder than meth
I’ll leave you gasping for breath
References to rough sex and Dahvie’s oral sex fixation as well as drug references. I feel like the references to drugs matter a lot more now that we know he gives drugs to minors, clearly has access to drugs and promotes them.
Bitches Get Stitches
Stop the hate congratulate
Dahvie dismisses all criticism as hate which is always a red flag, especially when that hate is to do with any kind of sexual crime (Though this was before the Jessi Slaughter incident there were still allegations against him at this time)
You know my name so eat some cake
Flaunting his fame and clearly doesn’t care if people know his name for negative reasons.
Party hardy grab Bacardi
Young audience having alcohol referenced towards them. He gives minors alcohol, slips drugs in their drinks and then rapes them.
Talk your shit watch you get hit
Violent nature towards anyone who speaks up against him. Gives the idea that being violent towards anyone who says anything negative about him or the band is okay.
What’s up with that awful gossip
Rape and pedo allegations are not just ‘gossip’ dismissing it as something so trivial is gross. He’s just trying to convince his fans that anything they hear is just ‘gossip’ and not to be taken seriously while not saying what the ‘gossip’ is.
Don’t be mad cus my hair is so rad
Your hair is a wig. I don’t know if it was at the time but I would assume it was, or parts of it were extensions of some kind. And I have no problem with people wearing a wig, but when someone is pretending it’s their real hair and are wearing it to look younger so they can maintain having a young audience who they can take advantage of, yeah, I have many, many problems with that.
Also Dahvie offers to do young girls’ hair as a way to be alone with them so he can take advantage of them.
Bitches get stitches, end up in ditches
Violence and demeaning towards women
So get the riches
Cares about money a lot more than say, being a decent human being. He scams his fans out of money.
Check yourself before you wreck yourself
Acting like everyone who says anything about the allegations about him have the facts wrong
OMG blah, blah, blah
Rude and dismissive. Teaching his fans to act that way
I’m rated x for explicted sex
To me this feels like Dahvie is saying ‘I make it clear I’m sexual so you can’t blame me for what I do!’
You can talk your shit
You can run those lips
Implying that people who talk about the allegations are lying
You’re only making me famous you ignoramus
Dahvie is clearly a man who believes that all press is good press. This also, again, shows how much he cares for fame and how demeaning and insulting he is towards those who question him.
I’m dangerous
Well we can agree about something Dahvie.
Again his violent and threatening nature shows though.
You can talk your shit you’re only making me famous
This is a message he still puts out to this day and he makes his fans push it out too. He just calls everyone who exposes him for the awful person he is a liar.
And again, he continues to go on about fame and gaining more fame. More fame means more underage fans that he can take advantage of.
Blood On The Dance Floor
Slash, gash, terror, whore
I like you better on the floor
Shows Dahvie’s views on women and how demeaning those views are. Also uses violent language while referencing sex.
On the bed give me head
Oral sex fixation and demanding
Make you scream, candy cream
Childish
Scene sluts like it super rough
That’s the way they like to fuck
Shows that he goes for scene girls, who more often than not are on the young side. He’s generalising, being demeaning and also telling his fans, a lot of who are scene, how they should be having sex and how they should like it.
I like to twerk, I like to hurt
Okay so I know the Austin Jones things was years after this, but still Austin Jones vibes isn’t a good thing to give out.
Again with the violence
Bitch, don’t make me fucking work
Demeaning and also gives more of his views on sex
Now make your move into my room
And I’ll whip out my Dr. Doom
Okay so this isn’t a big deal but it’s just so cringy to call your dick ‘Dr. Doom’ and now I’m just thinking about how Dr. Doom is a villain. Also about how he loses, because that tends to be the theme with villains.
Oh, what the fuck?
Bitch, just shut up and suck
Again with the oral sex fixation and the demeaning language.
I need to feel myself inside you deep
More sexual references. Very demanding
Uh, uh I like it rough
I believe a girl sings this part. I’m just reading the lyrics and sparing my ears but Dahvie does not give it ‘rough’ he is abusive.
Uh, uh I give it tough
Like I just said, Dahvie is just abusive and has even gone ahead to say that that’s just what BDSM is which is so wrong and harmful.
It’s like a porno flick!
This line just makes me think about the fact that he has filmed himself raping minors, sometimes after drugging them.
I’m pure triple x
Redefine ultra sex
Dahvie constantly talks about how good he is at sex, which we know isn’t true given that he doesn’t even understand consent. Then there’s the fact that he’s telling his fans how he’s good at sex.
Sex and Violence
Just from the title we already have sex being linked with violence.
You’re so submissive
I’ll get you in position
Dahvie likes to be able to take control over whoever he is with, and he’s telling his fans what he likes. He goes as far as to take a women’s ability to have any control by drugging them.
Deep throat me girl and rule my world
Oral sex fixation
Be my scene queen
Most scene girls are young due to the fact that older people can’t dress and style themselves that way as they have jobs and such.
It’s just the way we fuck
It’s the way we cut
(Sex and violence)
Connecting sex and violence, probably trying to normalise this; ‘It’s just they way things are’.
Fuck me
Rape me
Just a disgusting line, acts as if rape is something asked for. It’s also ironic since he’s the one that’s the rapist.
Take me
Blow me
Oral sex fixation
I’ll slice you, I’ll dice you
More threats of violence.
I ❤ Hello Kitty
Referencing a character intended for children. If a child searches for Hello Kitty they may come across this song.
Also I think it’s really important to keep the name of this song in mind while reading the lyrics.
Ah! Ah! I like it
Against the wall
Just fuck me in the hall
Demanding and somewhat violent/rough/intense sex
You scream ‘meat sucks!’
Well you’re out of luck
Oral fixation. Also it sounds like he’s raping a lesbian.
I’ll fuck you in the face
And leave a nice taste
Oral sex fixation.
Dahvie would tell girls that had no sexual experience that cum tasted like ice cream... what fucking ice scream is he eating?
I’ll fuck you in the club
Exhibitionist
On the ground
Mop it up
Relax! Relax!
It’s my sexy track!
Acting like this is all an act, it’s just a joke and means nothing.
H.E.L.L.O.
Blasting through your stereo
K.I.T.T.Y.
Let me slip between your thighs
Hello Kitty is a children’s cartoon character and also is a minor.
H.E.L.L.O.
Coming straight from Tokyo
K.I.T.T.Y.
My sex will leave you satisfied
Again, this is a cartoon character aimed towards children he’s referencing.
H.E.L.L.O.
Show me how you’re such a whore
K.I.T.T.Y.
Bitch I’ll make you fucking cry
Okay so first off, ‘whore’ and ‘o’ don’t rhyme. Secondly, again we have Dahvie being violent and demeaning towards women. Lastly, HELLO KITTY IS A CHARACTER AIMED TOWARDS CHILDREN!
We mosh like liars
Well Dahvie, you are a massive liar.
You’re A Dancer, You’re Not A Lover
I want to tell you a tale
Of love, drugs and complications
Dahvie knows nothing about love. He drugs women/young girls and leaves them with a lot more than just complications.
Get into the bigger tits
Many of his victims have said that Dahvie was very interested in their chest. He views women as objects for his satisfaction.
So fuck me on the dance floor
Exhibitionist
Take off your pants
And do the revolutionary dance
Sounds really childish while the song, as well as the album, also contains many adult themes.
Modern World Christ
Dahvie compares himself to Jesus due to his name, or middle name as survivors have stated that he goes by Jesus David Torres instead of David Jesus Torres so when people look him up they wouldn’t find his arrest record.
This also just makes me think about all the cult leader who tie themselves to Jesus in some way.
Hollywood is full of shit
Say what you like
So we can call you a pedo and a rapist?
I got nothing to hide
I mean, you do but you can’t hide it any longer and you were doing a bad job anyway.
I’m not special or unique
Glad we can agree on that
I’ve been crucified like Jesus Christ
You’re not Jesus Christ!
As I grow stronger my voice gets louder
Just because you’re loud doesn’t mean you’re right or truthful
Your shit gets weaker as I stomp you with my sneakers
Rude, dismissive of claims against him and he’s also threatening those who come out against him.
Let my words eat you alive
Mocking victims
I wanna be the boy you adore
Not gonna happen Dahvie. And you’re not a boy, even at this time you were an adult.
Without the label of a Bedroom Whore
No one calls you that. We do label you as a rapist and a pedo.
And if you didn’t want any chance of being called that maybe don’t sing about sex.
So shut the fuck up with your ignorance
Me at BOTDF fans
And shut the fuck up with your competence
What? Why would you say they’re competent if you’re trying to act like they’re just liars and haters?
Money and Hoes
Again the want for money, probably to buy more wigs. And being demeaning towards women.
They want my cock
No they don’t, you force it on them.
They’re sucking my ding
Asphyxiation prescription perfection
Oral sex fixation. And who the hell calls it my ding? Like, he was rhyming it with bling, but seriously.
Hi, I’m danger
More dangerous but okay
I’m mightier than any Power Ranger
Power fantasy
I get what I want
Like the rapist you are. You get what you want because you prey on vulnerable people, make them trust you and then take what you want.
And be obscene
Leave parents feeling disgusting
Ironic since Dahvie befriends the parents of his victims to make it easier for him.
And I’m hood rich
You’re a middle class white guy
My grill is so ill
Just no
I’ll make your titties spill
No.
Also, demeaning
Till Death Do We Party
Cut your bone and slash your tongue
Violence...
Gonna shoot my hot load
...then sexual reference
Fuck me in the club, and light this bitch up
Exhibitionism
(Fuck me in the dirt, life up my sexy skirt)
Dirty, rough sex
Fuck me in the house and shake it all about
Shake it all about sounds childish
(Fuck me in the car, like a movie star)
He often raped people in the back of a car, forcing them to preform oral sex.
Fuck me in the rain, take away my pain
Sex won’t take away pain, this is a bad message he’s sending to his underage fans. Sex with Dahvie will only end in pain.
Fuck me in the church, make it fucking hurt
Violent
Dahvie,
I would not fuck you in the rain,
I would not fuck you on a train,
I wouldn’t fuck you in a church,
I wouldn’t fuck you for research.
I just want you in jail,
And for there to be no bail.
I Hope You Choke
Me to Dahvie
More violence
Cutting and frustration
Self harm, most likely trying to pander to his audience and seem relatable.
Sex and complication
Connects sex with negative emotions
I lost my grip
I’m about to slip
Love is cruel, remember this
Acting like this tortured soul to get pity.
Makes love sound bad.
Protect yourself from the fighting fists
Covered wrists
Self harm bating again
The whole song is just Dahvie singing about how some girl broke up with him and he hopes she dies.
Incel vibes x100.
Fallen Star
We’re so in love,
We did every drug
Connects love and drug use.
Normalising drug use when he has a young audience.
We kissed in the dark
In the back of your car
Many stories of Dahvie forcing himself on girls, or rather, forcing them on him, in the backs of cars. If it’s dark then they can’t see him.
You died in the crash site
Okay so there’s this whole story about how someone who was a member of the band died in a car crash, but while researching this I found a Facebook post where someone said at a show they asked Dahvie about it and he said she didn’t die and it was another one of his friends. I take this with a grain of salt because I can’t find any confirmed evidence as to whether this ex-band member is still alive or not.
He’s basically using someone’s death, not long after it happened, for sympathy on this album filled with references to sex and drugs as well as threats of violence.
Libertine
Okay so people say this song is dedicated to the member that may have died, however the fan in the Facebook post said that Dahvie said the song is dedicated to her because it was her favourite song on the album. Again, I have no idea which claim is real.
You’re living out a lie
Ironic.
If I could have my way I’d sit and watch you die.
Violence.
Also, you can see why I question this song being dedicated to someone who died since it has a lyric like this. Either Dahvie is being really tasteless, which I wouldn’t be surprised by, or she didn’t died and it was someone else and the story got twisted.
And there we go. One album done... so many more to go.
Wish me luck.
