The fact that Marinette, Alya, and Adrien are all good people and are just children who are trying their best with the situation they are in
Is not, and should not, be a controversial statement

ALYA WAS THE MVP IN THIS ONE. ABSOLUTELY love that Alya was mad because throughout all of Miraculous's run we have never seen her be genuinely upset at Marinette, and I think it's completely consistent with her character. She's a journalist; of course she'd despise the fact that Gabriel Agreste got to be seen as a hero and the fact that she even straight up told Mari, "Idgaf; I am not keeping that secret" and basically erasing her memory as a second chance for Mari because she doesn't want to be the source of her suffering but also leaving her with "You don't get to make that decision for him." Someone needed to confront Maribug about her decision, and she was the perfect person. "Why would I hate you Marinette" SHUT UP SHUT SHUT UP

Also the Lucky Charm was an eraser. Like in Chat Blanc.
I think we need to talk about that for the next 1,000 years.

Alya being so torn between her principles and her loyalty to Marinette that she chooses to forget about what she saw. Knowing that she would either keep the secret and go against her morals or she would tell the truth and betray Marinette, knowing no matter what it would eat her up inside.

HERE’S THE UPDATE!
#1 - Sublimation
#2 - Daddycop
#3 - The Illustrhater
#4 - Werepapas
#5 - Revelator (Despite the cold open of Ladybug and Cat Noir teaching “The Miraculers” to keep from transforming back, where Miss Hound is still in her Season 4 suit, this is just a flashback meant to foreshadow Cat Noir’s power upgrade this episode. Miss Hound is seen in her new getup later on when Alya shows Marinette a video from the Ladyblog. Nothing here to say that this came before the previous episodes.)
I’m so happy with Miraculous today. We had back to back bangers this weekend, and I’m so excited for the next new episode. However, I have found it annoying that not only the episodes airing out of order, but the episode listings themselves aren’t in order either. So, I’m putting together a handy little viewing guide that I will update each week we get a new episode! So, this is for all the episodes we’ve seen up until Werepapas.
- Order of Episodes -
#1: Sublimation (Caroline is akumatized this episode, which is recounted in S6E2. Also, the girls mentioned inviting Sublime in Daddycop, giving me reason to assume that she has become friends with Marinette by that point.)
#2: DaddyCop (Since Miss Hound’s old design appears in this episode for the last time and she updated her suits this episode, this puts it before S6E2, where her new suit appears.)
#3: The Illustrhater (Miss Hound’s new design appears here, putting it after DaddyCop. Caroline and Caline Bustier recount being akumatized by Chrysalis, putting this episode after their respective episodes.)
#4: Werepapas (Nothing significant seems to put this in a spot that would be considered out of place on the timeline, so I’m putting it in the latest point.

I find it funny how these intro scenes are being kinda brushed aside with the overall conversation because not only do they give a good insight on where Adrien's head is at the moment, but they also set up the perfect tragedy of what his life will become once the secret comes out to everyone. He won't be able to have that simple life he wants anymore and everyone will always be aware of "Adrien Agreste son of international terrorist" all the fripplin time.
...Unless.... 👀 He takes Adrien Agreste out of the picture.... 👀 👀

the more episodes we get, the more i’m convinced we’re getting a ladybug crash out era/akumatized episode because everything points at her losing her shit by the end of the season. hell we saw her literal best friend get so angry her memory had to be erased??? we know kagami doesn’t feel too good about marinette’s choice either so the show really doesn’t shy away from the fact that absolutely nobody will have her back woah…
and the one person who continuously had her back throughout the show has every right to get angry when he finds out. sure he doesn’t know marinette is ladybug but i don’t think she’ll be able to act normal around him if he makes it clear to ladybug he’s angry about all this. imo this all points out to marinette distancing herself from everyone and crashing out, and (hopefully) an akumatization :(

One thing I'd like to note about Chloe here
Tumblr media
"Replaced by Chloe Bourgeois" Hmmm I wonder who this parallels controlling parent and model it's almost like they're placing her narratively the exact same role as a certain someone how interesting.....I don't wanna get my hopes too high but this is something worth thinking about

My theory on revelators parallels to chat blanc
What I understood from Revelator and its parallels to Chat Blanc is that it might be how it would end if Chat hadn’t wiped Rena’s memory.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Let’s take this scenario into consideration: Alya has expressed her spite toward keeping secrets/lying. If she hadn’t had her memory wiped, she probably wouldn’t have lasted long without telling someone—whether it be Nino, Adrien (I don’t want to think so little of her, but maybe even the Ladyblog, considering how mad Alya was at MariBug). The truth would spread, eventually reaching Adrien, who would be completely devastated ( I genuinely don’t think that telling Adrien about it sooner would help especially with him being such a wreck (who tries to hide it) right now (wrinkled shirt theory))
Tumblr media Tumblr media
That episode might have implied that the truth is so dangerous it could actually destroy the world—if not revealed at the right moment—and that we were heading exactly down that path. Now, it’s Marinette’s responsibility to determine the right time to reveal the secrets.
Secrets don’t tend to stay hidden for long, especially when they involve such important matters, and I don’t think anyone expects her to keep it a secret forever. That’s exactly why, right now, the truth shouldn’t be revealed. There’s a right time for everything, and during both Revelator and The London Special, that time just hadn’t come yet.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I’ve also heard people say that Marinette acts selfishly by avoiding uncomfortable conversations and staying in her comfort zone. I tend to do the same, so I understand her completely. In my case, I just wait for things to evolve on their own and delay them as much as possible while mentally preparing for them—sometimes, it’s just for the best. Sometimes, you have to be selfish.
But enough about me—Marinette has been through so much that it’s basically a coping mechanism (in fact, it is exactly that). You can’t expect someone who’s so lost in her life, practically living on autopilot, not to rely on their coping mechanisms. We forget that she’s just a fourteen-year-old girl who doesn’t have enough experience to handle such complicated situations.
Give this girl a break. Life is already doing everything it can to crush her, and her mind is doing everything it can to keep her from collapsing. She has to do what’s best for her—sometimes, she has to think about herself, even if she is a superhero.
The unraveling will happen eventually—when the time is right, when the truth will cause the least harm to everyone involved.
