Metro RP2350 take 5 đŸ”„đŸŒŸđŸ€ž
Sometimes mistakes are made in prototyping; that's why they're prototypes. The error in rev D was funny: while making the QFN80 footprint, the pins got placed clockwise rather than widdershins. Not surprisingly, that board didn't come up at all, so here's a full rip-up and reroute, with the correct pinout this time! Fingers crossed. Hopefully, this is the final revision, and we can move on to other RP2350 boards we have cooking.

A dreadful controversy has broken out in Bath, whether tea is most effectually sweetened by lump or pounded sugar; and the worst passions of the human mind are called into action by the pulverists and the lumpists.

HOW JESUS GOT IT WRONG
We shake our heads in bewilderment at a world where everything seems turned upside down. Wrong has become right, equal opportunity has become racism and justice has become unjust. At one time liberals accused Christians of believing in a ‘sky fairy’ of our own imaginations. Today progressives deny science and believe that men can become women by wishful thinking.  Continue reading Untitled

The Princess Royal visiting Dubai.
Tumblr media
Her Royal Highness took part in a number of engagements during her visit, which began with a tour of DP World’s Jebel Ali Port. This was followed by a conference on seafarer welfare, jointly hosted by The Mission to Seafarers (MtS), DP World, and WISTA UAE, in conjunction with Stephenson Harwood. The day concluded with a celebratory dinner at the One&Only Royal Mirage Hotel, attended by many leading supporters and potential sponsors of the Mission.
At Jebel Ali Port, the Princess was given a tour of Box Bay, an innovative solution for handling containers. Jebel Ali Port is one of the world’s top ten largest container ports in the world and the busiest port in the Middle East. Technological solutions such as Box Bay will play an important role in improving safety, speed, and energy efficiency in the movement of containers.
The Princess then joined a conference on Women in Shipping and Seafarers’ Welfare, held at the DP World Expo Centre. The event featured two panels, the first on seafarer well-being and increasing female participation in shipping, and the second on attracting and retaining the next generation of female seafarers.
The Princess delivered a speech to delegates, where she highlighted the contribution that women can make in tackling the global crew shortage and the importance of ensuring that women in shipping are listened to and supported. The Princess also met with WISTA UAE Ambassadors, including Rania Tadros, President of WISTA UAE and Managing Partner of Stephenson Harwood in Dubai, as well as other members of the MtS Welfare team in Dubai.
The day concluded with a dinner at the One&Only Royal Mirage Hotel for senior leaders from across the shipping industry and the wider business community, as well as the British Ambassador and the Consul General. Her Royal Highness spoke of the work of the Mission to Seafarers in Dubai and globally, reminding guests how much we continue to depend on seafarers, and how they, in turn, need our sustained support. The Revd Canon Andrew Wright, Secretary General of the MtS, thanked attendees for their support for the vital work of the Mission in the UAE.

On Sunday, 18th February 2024, His Eminence Archbishop Nikitas of Thyateira and Great Britain presided during Matins and celebrated the Divine Liturgy at the Church of the Holy Trinity and Annunciation in Oxford. Amongst those concelebrating were the Revd Protopresbyter Ian Graham, Priest-in-charge, and the Revd Presbyter Seraphim Vanttinen-Newton. The Revd Archdeacon Dr. George Tsourous also served.
In his heartfelt sermon, the Archbishop drew from Apostle Paul’ epistle to the church in Corinth to remind us that we are indeed the living temples of God. He emphasised, “As the very dwelling of God, it’s essential for us to separate ourselves from the ways of the world. This is not a mere suggestion but a divine invitation to purity and holiness.” This separation, he explained, is not about isolation but about choosing a path that aligns with our sacred identity. “By distancing ourselves from anything that defiles our spirit or body, we open our hearts to a deeper relationship with God,” he continued.
In his address to the congregation, the Archbishop further emphasised the significance of unity in Christ. He highlighted how the diverse and multicultural congregation in Oxford transcends the variety of ethnic and cultural backgrounds and unites as one family. This unity, he noted, is a testament to the strength of their collective commitment to Christ and to each other, embodying the very essence of the Church as the body of Christ in the world.
Following the Divine Liturgy, the day’s celebrations culminated in a festal bring-and-share lunch held in the Community Hall. This gathering provided a wonderful opportunity for fellowship and joy, where the Archbishop had the chance to speak with the parishioners of Oxford, engaging in conversation and answering questions at length.

On 22nd May, 1968 the General Assembly of the Church of Scotland voted in favour of women ministers, decades before the Church of England.
Six women Margaret Forrester Claude Barbour, Elizabeth Hewat, Mary Levison , Mary Weir and Sheila White wrote an open letter campaigning for a change to the Kirk’s rules on women ministers.
Their campaign met fierce resistance and anger but on 22 May 1968, the Kirk’s General Assembly finally voted to allow women to be ordained.
By the following year, the Reverend Catherine McConnachie was ordained and served as assistant minister at St George’s Tillydrone, in Aberdeen.
The Reverend Effie Irvine, who died in February 2018, was the first to be ordained as a parish minister in 1971 at Milton of Campsie Parish Church. Nowadays around a third of The Church of Scotland Ministers are women. I read an article in 2018, the 50th anniversary of the landmark decision that, ‘Pockets of resistance’ against appointing women ministers and elders still exists in parts of Scotland and I imagine John Knox, hero of the Protestant Reformation in Scotland will still be turning in his grave, he wrote ‘The First Blast of the Trumpet Against the Monstrous Regiment of Women’ in 1588, attacking female monarchs, arguing rule by women was contrary to the bible.
The first female Moderator was appointed in 2004, there has now been 4 in total, it took a furth 36 years before the first, Alison Elliot in 2004, this year will see the fifth woman moderator when Rev Sally Foster-Fulton, as seen in the second pic, takes the position. Sally, who is head of a Christian charity which fights global poverty, said last week, she is "beyond humbled, inexpressibly honoured and more than a wee bit excited" to represent the Church in this role.
There are currently 218 serving female ministers, with 677 male ministers
You can read more about this on an excellent blog piece here
