there’s a mouth that takes and a mouth that returns. there’s a voice that says “marco” and a voice that says “polo” back. there are people born to water and people born to land. silt is defined as sediment carried by water. if you dig deep enough into the earth, you reach the groundwater. if you dive deep enough into the ocean, you reach the seabed. the boundaries of the river are defined by the shore around it, and the boundaries of the shore are defined by the river running through it. many things come from dirt and water in combination. do you get me?

i really enjoy how many character memories are in ch44 of the silt verses... carpenter remembers the barber temple as something nice someone told her about. hayward brings up how "country people take their gods too seriously", and then admits that he thinks about finch "all the time". faulkner brings up his and rane's conversation about being chosen, and obviously there's his final monologue about his family and drowning charlie... these characters are all so impacted by their experiences, i think it's really special

Since returning from Stonhyrr, everything had been plunged into utter chaos. Joshua had been trying to do what he could; dodging around everyone's concern for his condition. He was sure he was not much longer for this world, and he certainly wasn't going to spend that time in bed.

His stomach dropped and he stood frozen as he saw himself standing across the hall. What horror was this now?

Shaking off the shock of it, he slowly drew his sword and began to step forward.

Clara was about halfway through her pregnancy. She was no longer ill these days and instead was energized. Her body continues to develop and prepare itself to carry their baby full term and and give birth. Her belly ha growing along with the rest of the curves on her body.

Because of these changes, she was constantly buying new clothes and today was one of those days. “How’s this one, love?”

She asked as she stepped out of the dressing room in a fitted dress that hugged all of her curves. Her breasts barely held in.

Wolf almost spat out his tea at that, blushing furiously.

"Oh fuck... that's hot..."

There's a subtle amusement in Morty's eyes. "Rick, are you scary?" He held his hand out, expectantly.

"I-I've been told that, yes." For a moment, he looked down at the hand. Only then to place his chin on top of it. Instantly receiving pets and scritches. As if he were some loyal cat. "I-I can be even more scary if y-you want me to, Morty."

He picks up his own bottle and twists the lid off again as he takes a gulp and savors the cool temperature of the water and the RELIEF that it offers from the sun. Rationing is ESSENTIAL in these situations because you never know when you might get more ; it's why Chishiya has a couple small stashes here and there across Tokyo. Just in case measures that he's glad for now. ( Tries to IGNORE how he can feel Pat's stare on him and fails. )

Chishiya lowers the bottle at the question, his expression vaguely perplexed at the question. LIKE HE HADN'T REALLY FOCUSED ON IT. Her question forces him to look inwards - something he'd avoided doing. " It's not like feeling bad would change anything. It was the logical thing to do at the time. " He replies after a moment with a shrug. He's doing it again; not actually answering the questions but skirting around them.

A gentle puff of air leaves him as he looks at the ground for a moment and then looks back up towards her. " I didn't do it for anyone else. I wasn't even in danger. I tracked HIM down. Which wasn't exactly that hard considering that although I am a terrible marksman, there's not many places to snipe from. "

Very rarely is Wylan in fact 'sleeping' or 'inattentive'. He simply behaves in such a way to invite unsuspecting victims closer to him. Pernicious little predator he is. With closer proximity his own options and opportunities increase, after all.

Like now, sitting in the chair (Kuroha's chair) (its in her office) (he shouldn't be in here alone) he looks dozed away in some distant world. The clamor of life and the hectic nature of his work no longer dogging him.

If only that were the case, but Wylan's got people to bother and/or protect. It just so happened that this particular doctor had him contracted to do so. It's a toss up on a day to day basis whether that was good or bad. Some say he has his charms. Perhaps enough to have her considering more kinder things, as she slips in, silently, laying her hand over his where it lay on the arm of the chair.

Then his eyes snapped open. Lips snap into a smile.

"Doc, you may have patient confidentiality but I-" Wylan starts. Snapping his hand up to take hers in it as deftly as possible. "...actually, I don't have a response for this. What were you doing? Oy. Not thinking to inject me with some prototype drug now are you?"

Is TMAAF a crossover with TGCF?

Sort of. TMAAF and TGCF are set in the same universe, but at very different points in the timeline. TMAAF takes place during the 700s, by which point the Great Sects were about 300 years old, and the "present-day" arc of TGCF took place around a century before the Great Sects were founded.

None of the TMAAF characters interact with the TGCF "world" (i.e., the heavens/ghost realm) or characters until 35 years after Wangxian's wedding, when Lan Xichen ascends as a deity of healing.
