extremely unhinged important carrot post: got a mod that lets me put The Guys in any equipment I want regardless of vocation. could barely decide what to put genzou in because every single outfit was more adorable than the last... but decided to go with this for a while, and promptly spent most of the play session distracted and flustered by how ridiculously cute he looks... Whilst playing Gotham Knights for my friend (doing a Batgirl run through for them) I stopped a kidnapping in progress. I wanted to dip before the cops showed, so I ran towards the road and hit the summon button for the Batcycle, expecting it to show up in front of me.

I then hear the screeching of tires behind me shortly before the 'thud' of the Batcycle hitting someone - that someone being the kidnapping victim I had just saved.

He then thanked me and ran off while I had to pause the game because I was laughing so hard I was crying.

𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐆𝐋𝐄𝐀𝐌𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐒𝐍𝐀𝐊𝐄; 𝐗𝐈𝐎𝐌𝐀𝐑𝐀 - 𝐒𝐔𝐍𝐒𝐇𝐈𝐍𝐄 𝐆𝐇𝐎𝐔𝐋𝐄𝐓𝐓𝐄.

SUMMONED FROM THE INFINITE ABYSS, out comes the nameless ghoul. A delirious creature that believed herself to be of the high heavens && not the inferno of the Hells. With radiance, the light that surrounded her was that of a flame, from it, she was named, Sunshine. The Ghoulette that was considered an empathetic creature albeit lost within her daydreams of a kinder life, Xiomara, humanized, wears the guise of a catechism teacher faithfully teaching her flock. The children of the clergy grasp to her gowns as she spins, sings, entices with her voice alone. Sunshine is considered an entity without age, older than time itself && created within the days of the Byzantine Empire, although, it is strongly indicated she has no concept of such a thing coming from the realm of nightmares itself - Xibalba. She was ever faithful to Papa Emeritus falling into a catatonic slumber after his death only to emerge once more, resummoned, refreshed, caring for the Clergy’s children once more while scheming the demise of those who took her heart. 

Key attributes

THE SONGBIRD WITHOUT A VOICE: Xiomara doesn’t speak frequently thus she relies on sign language to convey her words, she refers to it merely as ‘resting’ her vocal chords. After Terzo’s death, she is selectively mute while relying solely on her instrumental skills rather than backup vocals. The children that often are taught by her learn through hands on method or taught to communicate with her, calling her time of silence an absence of warmth. 

SELF IMMOLATING: Xiomara is on ‘fire’ in her ghoul form, the tip of her tail has a small flame, including her horns. She is meant to represent an angel that is beaming with holy light but when comes further, they learn it is a thin sheen of flames dancing upon her flesh. She is known to run warmer to the touch due to this nature while she believes herself to be holy as she lights the darkness. 

DOVE SONG: Providing back up vocals requires her to constantly work on her skillset, she enthusiastically loves to sing. It is common to hear hymns in Spanish as she represents the feathered serpent of Mayan mythology. The children of the clergy learn through hymns, prayers && songs she works together on an instant which delights her to no end. Instrumental wise, she is commonly seen playing acoustic guitar to later on the keyboard && synth music predating her summoning during the 80’s.

Symbology: gold, rubies, oil slick feathers, freckles, sun kissed cheeks, wild flowers, innocence, unflinching devotion, bloodied daggers, flower crowns, the widow.

Physical attributes: Standing at 5’4, Xiomara tends to lean on the shorter side with a fuller form in her human body. She views it as a meat puppet to put it bluntly as a ghoul can, with wild hair that is thick, curly, in beautiful locks of auburn && gold eyes with an olive complexion, she is sun-kissed in thousands of freckles. Though she yields little to hide her thick top && bottom fangs while opting for a more ‘neutral’ color palette in cosmetics. She is said to smell of smoke, flowers, gold coins radiating her origins. Though, as a ghoul, her horns slick back at the top a small flame can be seen whereas her tail is the same, burning alongside her. Xiomara takes on a bronze complexion with talon-like nails illuminated in a variety of colors indicating the feathered serpent of lore. Her tongue is forked, protruding outwards when she is not masked as her jaw can unhinge itself in a grotesque sight of horror. Her flock tends to recognize her easily by a smile that could only be linked to that of a coyote, tricky, sinister, knowing everything before one can ever guess or think of their next move.

Misc information

Her origins are murky as there is no definite recording of when Xiomara came to fruition. One can even suggest she is older than that of humanity in itself, recurrently summoned whenever her form slinks back into the infernos. The earliest indication is within the late 60’s hence her empathetic nature as she preferred Nihil’s tendency for love songs than that of the Clergy’s message. With every Pappas, Xiomara breathes life, a slate that is rewritten each time although her core bits never change. She is effervescent in hell fire && glory, it is unknown what her feelings are towards humanity in whole, though it is said the devil has learned to become amused by such concepts while learning that of love in all varying forms. She has withstood Nihil, Primo, Secondo, Terzo, now, the current reign of the twins.

She bit Copia, twice, mostly to ground him during tantrums; the second was out of irritation. She is rather fond of Plushie while being seen having tea, gardening, or letting Plushia ride her shoulders. Xiomara constantly casts her vote for Plushia to receive employee of the month while making no qualms about it as she simply remarks; he spreads the word of the Clergy with utmost precision, hail Plushia.

It is rare for her name to be uttered as she has professed she is a nameless creature, Sunny is merely what crowds call her or Sunshine, Xiomara is a name that is attached to not scare humans. Though her name comes from a dead tongue that cannot be traced, it is no longer a thing && lost within translation, you will know of her, she radiates greater than any fire could ever hope. She is loosely linked to Mary Magdalene during Terzo’s reign, a confidant, a friend, the saint of sinners. Tied in with that of perfume makers, it is said Xiomara is well versed in methods of alchemy && medicine.

Her longing to return to the Whiskey-A-Go-Go tends to override the clean slate she is summoned with. Often in her human form she wears fashion predating from such an era, it may indicate that was when she felt at ‘peace’ in love with the youthful innocence && hopeless romantic nature before her devotion to the Clergy grew.

Xiomara is still an entity of the hells, she is never to be taken with a dismissive attitude despite her kinder nature, she is without binds && leashes only obeying because it is willed. In her heart, she holds loyalty to few, though she is constantly summoned with a ‘fresh’ appearance there are attributes that never change && connections that do not fade. While it is said she believes herself to be holy one cannot gauge if that means holy in the terms of divinity as Xiomara is a creature that lingered long before such concepts were born, good or evil.

Baldur’s Gate: Tiefling, Drippy’s famous assistant, the Sunny Ghoulette! Known for her acrobatics && natural showmanship, Xiomara was constantly seen with the well known clown helping him with escaping just about anything, anyone, until he would meet his inevitable demise. A bard with the most, she often wore a gown of flowing fabrics in oranges && yellows representing the flames of Avernus while she twirled enchanting the crowds; many would proclaim, Xiomara could outshine Drippy on her worse days. This caused the pair to bicker at times but she truly cared about her employer even distraught at his death as she would eventually join The Circus of the Last Days stating astral travel doesn’t seem so bad.
