I can’t believe Lance Reddick just passed away 💔

Imagine that you were depressed over the loss of someone that you barely knew, feeling guilty for not being friends with them sooner. It happened with Amanda Holiday, and you really wished you met Cayde-6 when he was around, since you were a recent Guardian that was brought back to life after the events of the Witch Queen.

When you met with Commander Zavala and Ikora Rey, you tried to hid your emotions in front of them; deep down, you knew that they're grieving from the loss of their friends, whose like a family to them.

And then... it hit you. You started to cry.

"Shit..." you thought. You cried uncontrollably.

Both Zavala and Ikora were confused at first, then they realized that you're grieving over something. Then you said, "I'm sorry... I really wish... I really wish I was there back then... if Ghost woke me up sooner... I-"

The Commander said, "Eyes up, Guardian."

You looked at the Commander with those teary eyes of yours. You felt embarrassed at first, then you started to notice that he's crying too... well, a little bit, same with Ikora.

"It's okay, Guardian. You've been here for a while, and I understand your frustrations. What happened in the past doesn't affect you, and there's a brighter future upon us." Zavala continued, "Your mental health is important, so I suggested you should rest for now. You may dismissed."

You wipe your tears as you get up.

"Come on," Ikora said as she walked towards you, "Let's just get back to our place, we need our breaks too."

As you heard those words, you began to smile. "Thanks, guys."

For that moment, you noticed a blue-light behind Zavala and Ikora, giving you a thumbs-up. "It's going to be okay, Guardian." He said. You've seen the spirit of Cayde-6 along with Amanda Holiday's spirit with gold aura around her.

You're not alone!

I saw the gif set for Hocus Pocus. Which reminded me of how I found this ball of black fur that came running up to me eleven years ago. A kitten had been lost and I took it in. Unfortunately my then cat didn't like other cats so I couldn't keep it. So I took it up to the one neighbor I had (she had twelve cats already) and asked her to take care of him until I could move out. I was going to name him Binx. She said no because all of her cats had L names. I wasn't happy but I complied. I ended up naming him Lance.

She ended up keeping him out of spite nine years ago. I never saw him after that. He died either last year or the year before that.

Now I want another black cat so I can name it Binx.

I loved the Zeus - Posedion conversation so much because it is the most sibling tm scene in the show so far (after Posedion intervened and stopped his brother from literally murdering his son). They're literally at war one second, there's some levity a second later when they decide they're on the same side and then the youngest brother has to rub in the fact that he won and that he's going to tell everyone else in the family ASAP much to the older brother's absolute annoyance as he rolls his eyes. Not to mention "Who knows about father?" "... Hermes " "So... everyone knows?" Hermes canonically being the biggest blabber in Olympus lmao.

A sad day for the acting community. Whether you’re a guardian, demigod, or just visiting the Continental Hotel — there’s no doubt that Lance Reddick’s involvement heightened the experience. He was talented, charismatic, and had an allure that will never be matched.

Now if y’all excuse me, I’m gonna go cry my eyes out…and maybe reload Destiny. For old times sake.

As someone who's been playing since the beta for D1, I cried like a fucking baby when I found out he passed. It was really nice coming across your art on twitter. Made me feel better. Hope you're coping ok too.

Lance Reddick has sadly passed away at 60 years old. It was an absolute joy getting to hear him voice Thordak in the latest season of Vox Machina. A great performance. Let’s remember him and celebrate his life and his contributions to acting 🫶 He will be appearing in the Percy Jackson show as Zeus. Can’t wait to watch his performance. May he rest in peace.
