Adorable ice cream shop/eatery for sale with a residence upstairs. It can all be rented out, or you can live & work in the same building. The residence is currently on Airbnb. Built in 1900, it's been renovated, and has 1bd, 1.5ba. $875K.
There's little table for a party of 4 to sit by the front window, otherwise, patrons can go up to the dining room.
You can make this blank canvas look so cute.
Public restroom.
Professional kitchen.
Industrial kitchenware washing area and a walk-in freezer.

#if a property is uninsurable that is a sign to get the fuck out of dodge. government should absolutely help people relocate if their homes *#but insurance exists to protect against a certain level of risk#homes that are almost certain to burn or be swallowed by the ocean in the near future exceed that level by FAR#were those homes to be insured? at scale? one payout and the insurance company is done!#i'm no fan but their solvency is a macroeconomic issue#but the solution is eminent domain and resident relocation. sorry!

Anyone else notice the amount of Trump signs/flags etc. on abandoned houses/properties?
#it's like either the people who live here are prioritizing trump flags over window glass or you all are squatting on abandoned buildings#and vacant lots...like does anyone think that makes for a positive message?#I was in Michigan over the weekend and there are a lot of abandoned houses and the economy is clearly struggling#and it's like every time you see a walz/harris sign it's an occupied house with the yard mowed and every trump house is a shanty#the signs are every where for trump but it's very misleading because when you actually look they aren't attached to a family#or residence they are in a ditch or some other vaguely public property#if you own property in a rural area you should check to make sure that the GOP isn't squatting on your land

capcom definitely has its issues as any company would but they regularly have their games bundled or on sale like I literally got resident evil 0, resident evil 1 remake, resident evil 2 remake, resident evil 3 remake, resident evil 4, resident evil 5 gold edition, resident evil 6 complete edition, resident evil 7, resident evil village gold edition, resident evil revelations, and resident evil revelations 2 deluxe edition for $30. like 4 of those games have come out since 2017. that’s a steal and I’m way more incentivized to purchase your game instead of pirate it if I’m getting a good deal like that. that’s $2.73 per game, including a deluxe version of a 2021 game that was nominated for/won game of the year from multiple places. and nintendo is selling their 2017 games for $60 still
#I will say like breath of the wild or mario odyssey obviously have longer campaigns than a resident evil game but still they’re AAA games#and that they’re console exclusive Nintendo properties as opposed to being on any modern console like re or Capcom games

I hope I get to work at this location again. The residents are all so sweet about the managers (one of them kept on offering me treats as they were all running around and setting up the decorations for Halloween for the old ppl and children 🥺) and the main property manager said that I was a delight and that he’ll leave a good word for me with my agency 😭! Everyone was so nice to me and all of the old ppl kept on coming up to the front desk and talking to me 😭. So cute…
#rambling#the only crappy thing is the fact that this place is extremely far#outside of Chicago bro#but the area is so nice there’s sm things around the apartment complex#I hope they ask for me to work more days there if they need the coverage 😭#this is the best place out of all of the other places they’ve sent me it’s so easy going and everyone#is extremely friendly#all of the old ppl kept on trying to pronounce my name and some even remembered my name from yesterday#I feel bad since I didn’t remember there’sjssjj#the apartment building only accepts 55+ residents from what I’ve seen and it even says that on the building#it’s not an old folks home tho#I figured that the property manager probably didn’t feel like dealing with younger ppl who would be more of a hassle to deal with#they run in and out all day and cause a lot of problems#old ppl just want to get home and chill they don’t be on nothing#they don’t even have an overnight staff for the front desk either#I’m guessing is because most of the residents are older folks so they won’t cause too many problems vs younger demographics

Bullworth must genuinely a terrible town to live in. you gotta put up with the town shutting down bi-annually because of school kids rioting in the street over highschool drama.
