Training. It was something you and Rey did a lot together. Lightsabers in hand, you both fluidly moved throughout the room, as if you were both dancing. If you weren't training, and you were on opposite sides, to some it would be considered the dance of death. Fore, lightsabers were a deadly weapon, any wrong move and someone's are could be sliced clean off. 

You and Rey held those deadly weapons as if they were your trusting friend, weaving and slicing through the air gracefully before hitting each other's blue and green blades. The sound of both of them clashing was calming to you, always bringing you peace along with adrenaline. You and Rey were like a well-oiled machine, perfectly tuned in to one another. No matter where you were, or what had happened during practice, you two were able to find a balance in each other's presence. That was why you and Rey worked amazingly with one another. And it was one of the many reasons why you loved her.

Ever since she came back from defeating Palpatine, you and Rey had become an item. The feelings had been buzzing around long before that, but only after she returned did the two of you finally begin dating, so to speak. Even then you had been very careful. As much as you loved Rey, there was still something inside of you that was wary. But you knew there was no way you could live without her. Not anymore. Not after everything she'd done for you, sacrificed for you... She'd saved you when you couldn't save yourself.

Feeling sweat fall down on the side of your temple, you let out a deep breath, as the two of you ended the fight in a tie. Rey put away her lightsaber, and you did the same as you grabbed a cloth to wipe your face. Rey watched you, seemingly glowing and without a drip of sweat on her face. You felt a slight tinge of jealousy run through you, while you had been a bit our of practice, Rey had been practicing every day. You couldn't help it though, no matter how much you knew practicing was and is important, you wanted to have some free time too. To read, write, draw, and whatnot.

"For some reason, I'm attracted to you," Rey spoke with a small grin on her face as you let out a small laugh, dropping the now dirty sweat-stained cloth on the table beside you.

"I would hope that you were since we're together and all."

Rey's grin just widened before she shook her head and grabbed your hand. "Come on, I think we deserve a little bit of bonding time."

You let out a small snort, "And that wasn't bonding time?"

Rey shook her head again, bringing your hand in hers to her lips before leading the way again.  You couldn't help but smile, your heart swelled at the affectionate gesture. It was nice spending time with Rey again.

2. Let K8-T3 fix it. I know some of you are little afraid of her, but she does good work. I'm sorry about what happened last time, and I'm sure she is, too.

3. Try not to do anything flammable for a few more days. You can do it. I have faith in you.

I humbly request details of your Lord Peter Wimsey/Star Wars fic.

The AU started with noticing that Harriet Walter, who played Harriet Vane, played a doctor in The Force Awakens. I imagined that that doctor was Harriet Vane, and that she had met Peter when she was a member of the Rebellion, and he was a double-agent working undercover as an Imperial officer. The details of the two worlds lined up beautifully, and I outlined the idea in this post.

The fic would have had a framing story where Peter is visiting Harriet at the rebel base during the events of The Force Awakens, when the destruction of the Hosnian system overwhelms his Force sensitivity with the "voices crying out in terror". Harriet has to help him recover, and then they both prepare for the attack on Starkiller Base, and then return to their home system to help with Resistance efforts. Within this story, there would be long flashbacks to their first meeting, their courtship, and their eventual marriage. (The best detail that never made it into the outline was that Miss Climpson was a droid technician who modified droids to work as spies).

It had a detailed outline, but I never got more than a few paragraphs written of the story. Since I'm no longer actively a Star Wars fan (and I'm disillusioned after the ending of the sequel trilogy), I'll never write this, but it was still a great premise that I have fun thinking about.

Poe had always been the flirtatious sort, he didn’t exactly try to be that way, it just happened. After the war was over and people started to go their own way, many were surprised that Poe didn’t settle down with anyone, in reality he was a bit of a hopeless romantic, and although for a time he had thought he had found the person he wanted to spend his life with, but that wasn’t meant to be. Now years down the line He started to wonder if he was ever going to meet someone who stayed, someone who wanted him for all of him and not just because he was the hot shot resistance leader. What he hadn’t expected was to fall hard for his former coworker’s kid.

One of his fellow resistance pilots had that joined up around the same time as him had a family, She was definitely a few years his senior, she had left her husband and young kid back home while flying for a better future. She had become somewhat of a mentor for Poe, before his skills ultimately surpassed hers and they became close friends, and stayed in touch in the years after the war. Poe was always welcome around their house, but he didn’t take them up on it as often as he should but at one point he did decide to come stay for a while, he needed a break. When he landed he was greeted by his old friend and her child, who was at this point an adult in their own right. He thought his heart was going to stop when he saw them for the first time. They looked so much like her mother had at that age but so different at the same time. Poe knew then He was in trouble.

The first couple days he had managed to act relatively normal, keep the conversation flowing and light, laughing at jokes, listening to stories and telling his own. That didn’t change the fact that the way they looked at him, the way they talked, the way they laughed at his jokes. Everything they did was enchanting, and he wanted make that reaction happen again, he wanted to listen to them speak for hours about anything, he would anything to look into their eyes for the rest of time. He would give everything he had for that. The problem arose on the fourth day of his visit, they were alone for the whole day, he knew that his friend and her husband were going to be busy for a couple days of his stay and he had said he was totally fine fending for himself for a day or two. However he actually spent very little of that time alone, their schedule and their habits lining up perfectly with his. When he was hungry they were in the kitchen, when he wanted some fresh air, they were in the garden. During these moments they got to talking, alone, just the two of them. There was some kind of unmistakable chemistry between them, at some point they ended up having dinner with them, just sitting in their dining space talking over food. Poe was being his usual self, kinda flirty, kinda cocky, but more refined then back in the days of the resistance, he had a more intentional nature around his flirtations, not that they minded, and in fact they flirted back, with a similar intention. By the end of dinner they moved to the living room, sat on the couch while the moonlight filtered in through the curtains. They were sitting rather close, and Poe couldn’t really hold back anymore.

“You know, I like it when we’re alone like this. You make me feel, like I’m a new person again, like I’m ten years younger, but freer than I was then. I don’t have the weight of the world on my shoulders.” He said softly, his dark brown eyes looking into theirs as he leans in closer. They mirror his actions, leaning in closer, maintaining eye contact, their hand drifting towards his arm, fingers brushing over his arm

“I also like being alone with you, you treat me like a person, like an adult. I feel like living on one planet in one place your whole life, everyone still sees you as the kid you once were, but you don’t do that. But you also treat me with more respect than the others my age.” They spoke with their voice low, it’s an intimate sound, sending shivers down his spine as he listens. He can’t help but lean in closer, laying his hand gently on their thigh, his breath hot on their skin.

“You just need a change of pace, someone with a new point of view. Perhaps someone with more…Experience.” It doesn’t take more than that for their lips to meet and their hands to start exploring each other over their clothes. He’s pulling them closer, holding them against his chest. Maybe he hadn’t expected this to be what came from visiting an old friend. But…The heart wants what it wants.

Here's the thing.

Nothing in Ahsoka contradicts canon concerning how The Force works. Neither did the sequel trilogy. Or, for that matter, the prequel trilogy.

While the contents of this interview from the book The Making of Star Wars: Return of the Jedi by Jonathan W. Rinzler could be considered somewhat apocryphal, given George Lucas laid out some ideas he didn’t stay with (such as Yoda being unable to fight, only teach), there are other things that are consistent with what he did in the prequels and TCW. George Lucas embraced the idea that The Force was trainable. He compared it to Yoga. There's nothing in Star Wars canon to indicate that George's ideas on that can't be the case.

Kasdan: The Force was available to anyone who could hook into it? Lucas: Yes, everybody can do it. Kasdan: Not just the Jedi? Lucas: It’s just the Jedi who take the time to do it. Another point--Chirrut Imwe exists. There are, canonically, precedent on different ways to access The Force. Some can listen to it. Some can listen and manipulate it. Chirrut can hear The Force, he doesn’t have the full gamut of Jedi powers or tk. I am one with The Force, and The Force is with me.

The current situation wrt Sabine and The Force was already established Star Wars: Rebels, and what Kanan said aligns with Ahsoka's approach.

This doesn’t mean Sabine’s force abilities will be as strong as other Jedi we’ve seen. It also doesn't mean she has to move the mug for it to be worth it to train her. Or that she will move the mug.

But Ahsoka's concept is not actually against canon. It's not “ruining the franchise.” It’s not destroying the idea that there are some individuals who are more strong in The Force, unique in their abilities. Sabine will either be able to move the mug with The Force, or not, but if she does move the mug, it's not contradicting canon or taking away from established Jedi. It just means she unlocked something in herself. Something she has kept closed off.

She can also become more attuned to the force, and never be able to use tk and move that mug.

Also, it's neither anti-Jedi nor Anakin apologism to question the Jedi order. George Lucas did a whole movie trilogy and a tv series that highlighted those flaws.

People are using Huyang as proof Ahsoka is completely in the wrong...Huyang's a droid programmed to repeat Jedi dogma. He's essentially a sacred text.

He's not going to be capable of exploration and asking questions and learning new things, or new ways to look at established dogma.

Q: Do you take requests?

A: Not really, but it depends. If you send me ideas, there's no guarantee I'll write them, but they do sometimes inspire me to create something—in which case you, of course, would get the proper credit! I also love to write prompts for my favorite characters, so feel free to send prompts whenever. The only thing is, again, I can't guarantee I'll write them, but I would love to see what I can do with your ideas!

Q: What does your posting schedule look like?

A: There is no consistent posting schedule because... well, quite frankly, I'm a very chaotic writer. I write when inspiration strikes and I typically get too excited to not post it right when I finish it. I'm also employed full-time off the screen, and that can often lead to me being too busy to stay on a consistent schedule. I try to at minimum aim for one new piece/update a month!

Q: Do you have any tips for posting stories on here?

A: My biggest tip is always that you should write and post what you want to write and post about. The fastest way to give yourself burnout is to cater to an audience, because then your writing starts to feel mechanical. It's definitely a slow-going process to build up your audience, but the longer you keep at it, the more of a chance you have at collecting readers! Of course, it's also important to note the relevancy of your media basis, as writing about characters/shows/etc. that aren't currently releasing will make it harder to get attention.

Q: What does your Star Wars background look like?

A: I've been a Star Wars fan literally my entire life, because my dad raised me on the franchise! I couldn't stop watching the prequel trilogy when I was little, and I even used to play the original Star Wars Battlefront when I was in kindergarten (and I always played as the clones on Kamino, which makes so much sense now). I've had other hyperfixations/interests as I've grown up, but Star Wars was always there, especially with the sequel trilogy and other movies coming out. When The Mandalorian came out in 2019, though, the franchise finally became my biggest hyperfixation, and it's been that way ever since!
