♡ a big smile stretched across your lips as you hefted open the window in your room; you already knew that your day was going to get better as soon as you saw senju’s face popping out of her own window, waving her arms crazily to try and get your attention. 

“senjuuu, what’s up?”  “do you wanna go somewhere with me today?! i found this amazing place that i think you’ll love!!” 

♡ you immediately agreed; how could you have said no to the excited look on her face? 

♡ she had given you exactly zero details though, so you weren’t exactly sure what to be getting ready for. whatever the circumstances though, you were very excited. sure, maybe it was a bad thing that you were hiding your feelings from your friendly neighbor, but it wasn’t like it was harming anything, so it was fine, right? 

♡ you threw some random things into a bag and hastily fixed your hair, checking your reflection in the mirror to make sure that you look alright. when you were satisfied, you hastily wrote a note down where you were going and stuck it on the fridge, exiting your house and looking around for senju. 

“boo!”  “hm? oh, hi! where are we going?” 

♡ senju groaned at your lack of reaction to her attempt at a sneak attack, grumbling about how you were supposed to act scared as she pulled your cheeks, stretching them out with a grumpy look. you only laughed, her expression being quite cute as she pouted. she eventually stopped, grabbing your hand to drag you over to her bike, handing you a helmet as she preached about how you need to protect your head, (she brushed it off when you asked about her own head, saying that she would probably be fine). 

♡ you reluctantly put on the helmet after her insistence, although you were sure to let her know that next time you would not get on her bike if she also didn’t have a helmet. 

“you’re such a worrywart, (y/n)! do you reallyyy think i would do something stupid and get hurt?”  “yes.”  “what!?”

♡ you tried your best to act completely normal as you wrapped your arms around senju’s waist, but you couldn’t help the giddy smile that came from having physical contact with her, (you were just really glad that she couldn’t see you looking like an idiot). despite the fact that you wanted to pull a little bit closer to her, you refrained, going your best to keep a healthy distance between the two of you while still holding onto her. 

♡ it was a lot harder than you could’ve imagined; all the times she would speed through the light as it was turning yellow made you press closer to her than you were originally intending, but you figured if she asked about it that you would blame it on her driving skills. yeah, that’s it. 

♡ you had absolutely no clue as to where you two were going, and your curiosity increased tenfold when senju started driving out of the city limits. you didn’t ask any questions though, feeling a bit excited at being surprised by something. of course though, you didn’t get your hopes up too much. there was absolutely no way she felt the same about you, so you did your best to squash those thoughts before they could emerge. it wasn’t exactly working. 

♡ after another thirty minutes of driving, senju suddenly pulled over to the side of the road, slowing down and turning the engine off. 

“i almost missed it! that would’ve been bad, but anyways, we’re here! let’s go!”

♡ you hastily pulled the helmet off of your head, frantically running after senju as you tried to fix your hair. she had already began the journey to whenever she was taking you, her jogging somehow being a lot faster than your running, (serious, why was she so fast?). 

“we’re here!”  “wait for me, agh, ‘m so tired…woah.”  “right?! let’s go!!” 

♡ you had to stop and do a double take when you finally caught up with her; in front of you was the most wide and vast field of flowers that you had ever seen in your life. the most beautiful sight though, was seeing senju in front of you, waving at you to come and join her. the giddy smile that was on her face as she called your name was making your heart skip several beats, and you could only hope that she didn’t have some sort of super hearing as you walked over to her, trying to keep your eyes on the flowers instead of her. 

“isn’t it awesome, (y/n)?!”  “yeah, it’s super pretty!” 

♡ before you could say anything else, senju had plopped herself down onto the ground, picking some flowers from around her and laying them in her lap, urging you to join her with a blinding smile. 

♡ you hadn’t exactly been sure what she wanted to do in a flower field aside from admire it, but it was obvious now that she wanted to make flower jewelry. over the course of many hours, she did her best to teach you about how to weave the flowers into a flower crown, and how to make bracelets and necklaces. sometimes, she would get over excited and would stop explaining the steps, but she would immediately go back to helping you when she noticed your confusion in trying to copy her steps. 

♡ the day was coming to a close; the sky was filled with beautiful bursts of pinks and oranges, and despite the fact that it was gorgeous, it also meant that you and senju would have to leave soon. 

“aaand, there’s one last thing!”  “oh, what is it?”  “this!” 

♡ from behind her back, senju pulled out a tiny circle of small flowers, woven together to create a ring shape. with no words, she gently grabbed your hand, taking the flower ring and slipping it onto your ring finger. it was taking the most amount of resistance in you to try and not interpret it as something else, but you couldn’t help the quickening pace of your heart and the butterflies in your stomach. 

♡ when you heard senju giggling in front of you, you turned your gaze from the ring to her. you weren’t sure what she was laughing at, but you felt a bit of embarrassment anyways, hoping that you weren’t making a dumb face while you spaced out for a moment. 

“you’re so cute, (y/n)!”  “...don’t say things like that…”  “awh, why not?”  “it could make someone get the wrong idea.”  “i’m not trying to make you get the wrong idea though.” 

♡ the gleeful look on senju’s face was immediately replaced with a serious expression, her eyes suddenly seeming like they were staring into your soul. you swallowed, laughing a little nervously as you tried to figure out what she was saying. 

♡ before you could say anything more, senju had scooched closer to you, her knees moving to rest on top of yours as you leaned back a bit. it was all a little bit more than your heart could handle, and you were sure that if she came any closer you would explode. 

“well, i was more talking about if you said that to another person, they might think something different…”  “you’re the only one i would say that to, (y/n).” 

♡ she had you completely shocked now; your words stopped working. how were you supposed to respond to that? 

♡ senju, apparently, didn’t need any more words from you. her serious expression morphed into a playful one as she climbed onto your lap, pushing you down onto the soft bed of flowers and hovering above you. 

♡ your heart was now beating a million miles a minute, especially with her being directly above you and staring at you with such a soft look in her eyes. you didn’t dare to move; if this was a dream, you did not want to wake up anytime soon. 

♡ without another moment to think about anything else, senju suddenly leaned down right above your face, pausing for a moment and looking at you with a questioning look. when she was sure that you weren’t going to pull away, she gently slotted her lips against yours, seeming a bit hesitant as the two of you looked at each other. 

♡ when you finally realized you weren’t dreaming, you closed your eyes and brought your hand up to her head, threading your fingers through her hair and bringing her closer. senju’s hesitance was immediately thrown out the window at this; her lips moved against yours, feeling velvety soft and warm as her hand went to cup your cheek. 

♡ after a few moments, she pulled away, a warm smile on her face. you had no idea what kind of expression you had on right now; you couldn’t seem to control anything due to the pounding of your heart. senju suddenly flopped, dropping directly onto you and tucking her face into your neck. 

“i’ve been wanting to do that for so long.”

"Never." Mairon glanced up at him, the fire in his eyes burning brightly in spite of the cold holding his fána in its frosty grasp. "There is nothing less shameful than loving you." 

𖤐 Day 7 ~ Pride & Humility 𖤐 Synopsis: After ages of nurturing Mairon's pride, Melkor wishes to see whether his beloved can humble himself for him. 𖤐 Featuring: Bit of feet, bit of temperature play, domination/submission, power play 𖤐 Warnings: Smut(ty) Also available on AO3

AN: Written for day 7 of @deadlysinsofangbang. The last one's less explicitly smutty and focuses more on the sensual side of loyalty, humility, submission and trust, but I hope you'll still find it enjoyable ♡

"There is nothing within the circles of Arda that could ever hope to be as lovely as you are." 

Mairon's ëala and fána alike glowed brighter as he drank in the praise, and he leaned into Melkor's touch with a small, satisfied purring noise. He could never get enough of this, finally being adored by his Vala and lover like he felt he deserved, no longer forced to compete with others for mere scraps of affection. 

Melkor brushed his thumb across proudly smiling crimson lips, his expression thoughtful. "Indeed, you are admirable like no other, but can you humble yourself for me too?" 

Had it been any other being asking such a thing of him, Mairon would have laughed and scorned them, yet it was different for his beloved. Melkor was the one who had taught him pride and nurtured his confidence, and to him – and him alone – he submitted gladly; and so the Admirable found his interest piqued by this odd and outrageous request. 

"I am rather certain I can," he responded coyly. "What would you have me do to prove it to you?"

Melkor seemed pleased, though his words caused his eyes to flash with something akin to intrigue. He was tempted to challenge his conviction, Mairon knew, but he in turn was confident that he would be able to satisfy the Vala's need for power and lordship. 

"Lie down. On the floor, in front of the throne," Melkor ordered. 

The command held an edge of finality, and Mairon found himself obeying immediately, sliding down from his lap and onto the floor where he prostrated himself with utmost grace, his hair falling down his shoulders like a curtain closing after a performance. He could feel that Melkor was regarding him for a while, though he couldn't tell whether he was pleased or not as his thoughts were obscured by a cloud of lordly indifference. Aside from the coldness of the floor seeping into his fána, lying at the Vala's feet was strangely peaceful, allowing him to just be and breathe while another assumed complete control of him. 

Something heavy settled on top of him. It took Mairon a moment to realise that it was Melkor's foot, placed on his shoulder blades and the lower back of his neck, slowly and carefully increasing the pressure. He turned his head to the side and willed his muscles to relax, relinquishing all resistance and melting into the ground below. The Vala's skin was cold as ice, making Mairon feel like he was freezing where their fánar touched, and his breath quickened. 

For a spirit of fire who loved heat and yearned to move and dance around freely like flames joyfully flickering in the hearth, this sensation of cold and heaviness brought great discomfort. Perhaps he should panic, should attempt to fight or escape – and the emotional, instinct-driven part of him was screaming at him to do so – but Mairon managed to remain calm. It was different from the other kinds of pain he so happily indulged in, yet he found a similar thrill in forcing himself to endure this for his lover's pleasure. 

"Do you trust me?" Melkor asked then, listening to his flat breathing and feeling him trembling underneath his foot. 

There was no need to ask whether it hurt. He knew that it was certainly not pleasant; and Mairon would've scoffed at such a question. This, however, was more intriguing, though his answer was just as clear. 

"With my life," he replied breathlessly. 

"Will you ask me to stop?" 

"I could and I trust that you would release me, but I will continue to lie here if it pleases you." 

The thought that Melkor might take him up on his offer was strangely exciting. Mairon would get to prove just how loyal and humble he could be and would surely receive bountiful rewards for it later, being showered with more love and affection and getting to bask in the Vala's hellish fires. 

"You are not ashamed," Melkor observed. 

"Never." Mairon glanced up at him, the fire in his eyes burning brightly in spite of the cold holding his fána in its frosty grasp. "There is nothing less shameful than loving you."  

He gasped when the weight on top of him was suddenly removed, and Melkor leaned forward to pick him up and place him on his lap once again, breathing blue fire all over his shivering fána. 

"Indeed," he mused, "out of all created beings, none could ever be as wondrous and precious as you are, and you shall have my love and trust in return."

♡ as the people crowding around you started to walk away, muttering to each other, you got a glimpse of your savior. his appearance was quite strange; the boy’s black hair was slicked back in a rather…interesting way, and he had glasses with thick lenses that blocked his eyes. despite his strange appearance, you felt your heart skip a beat for some reason. before you could try and thank him, he scoffed a bit and walked away, his hands in his pockets. 

♡ the next time you had seen the boy, you had been purchasing juice from the vending machine behind the school. the coins that you had been holding in your hand had slipped between your fingers and fallen all over the ground. you’d groaned, already exhausted from the long day, but got down on the ground anyway and began picking up the multitude of coins you’d dropped. 

“this yours?” 

♡ looking up at the familiar voice, you saw a completely different person. it was the same voice as before, but his appearance had changed drastically. his black hair that had been slicked back before was now down, letting you see how long his hair actually was. his thick lensed glasses were nowhere to be found, showing the amber color of his eyes. your heart sped up its pace as you looked away, very aware that you were staring for a little longer than what would be necessary. quickly picking up the rest of your coins from the ground, you stood up, looking at the 5 yen coin between his fingers. 

“uh, yeah, thanks…” 

♡ he didn’t say anything as he handed you the coin, just watching you with a strangely perceptive look. as you began putting your coins into the vending machine, you looked at him occasionally, seeing if he was still watching you. 

“what’s your name?���  “oh! me? uh, it’s (y/n).”  “huh, cool. i’m baji. baji keisuke.” 

♡ it didn’t take long for you two to become a little bit…more than friends before he finally confessed to you, (it was quite cute; he got flowers for you and rather shyly asked you out). the first official date the two of you planned was to go and see a new action movie that had come out. 

♡ baji had planned the entire date for you, even supposedly having a “surprise” for you at the end of the night, which left you feeling quite excited to see him. 

♡ despite the fact that the weather forecast had said there was going to be no rain, when you had stepped outside to meet baji, you were met with a cloudy sky and a light drizzle. nonetheless, the boy was still outside of your door, (albeit a bit soaked from driving his motorcycle) with a smile on his face. 

“i’m sorry…it wasn’t supposed to rain. d’you still wanna go, (y/n)?” “of course!”

♡ so, despite the rain, the two of you got on his bike and he drove to the theater, the light rain getting a bit heavy by the time you got there. your hair had gotten basically drenched, which was disappointing, but it made you feel a little better to see that baji’s hair was also drenched. 

♡ he was a gentleman; opened the door into the theater for you, paid for both of your tickets, paid for your snacks. when you asked him about it, he just mumbled something about how, “it’s just a boyfriend thing” (it made you giggle a bit). 

♡ when you two got settled into your seats and started watching the movie, it all seemed like it was going great! the two of you were whispering lowly about cool scenes and snickering about some of the jokes that were made. 

♡ that is, until the movie suddenly shut off. you and baji looked to each other in confusion, thinking that it was maybe some sort of temporary error. that is, until a worker walked into the front of the theater. 

“hey folks, we’re going through a power outage at the moment because of the storm outside, so we’ll have to ask you all to exit and come back another time.” 

♡ baji had grumbled many grievances and curses under his breath as he grabbed both of your guys’ snacks, a clear look of annoyance on his face as you all filed out. they handed out vouchers for free popcorn and drinks the next time you guys came, but you could tell that it wasn’t enough to improve baji’s mood. 

♡ the two of you ended up sitting on a bench outside of the theater, just covered enough by the awning that the rain wasn’t falling on the two of you. 

“hey, keisuke, what’s wrong?”  “nothin’...”  “you really think you can get away with that?” 

♡ your hand gently grabbed hold of his, smoothing your fingers over his knuckles as you looked at him, a bit of worry in your eyes. his hair was covering his face, so you couldn’t even see what kind of expression he was making. 

“‘s just, i dunno, everything got ruined…”  “keisuke, what do you mean? i still had a lot of fun!”  “but there’s all this rain, and the movie even got canceled halfway through…and you got all rained on ‘cause of my bike…”  “okay, and even though that all happened, it didn’t matter to me because i was with you.” 

♡ baji leaned back, finally revealing his face to you. even though you could tell there was a little bit of sadness still, there was a slight flush to his cheeks and ears as he glanced over at you. you giggled at his flushed face, leaning over to lightly press your lips against his heated cheek. 

“do you wanna run over into the diner and get milkshakes?”  “hell yeah.”
