Imagine getting a minor injury while working with Vince Noir.

It was just a little nip. Sometimes the animals got excited around feeding time and would become a little ... exuberant when they took their food. Usually they were patient enough to wait until it got put down in front of them, but this new bird hadn’t yet learned. You kept your cool in front of the kids that were watching, tucking your bloody finger behind the others but as soon as you left the bird enclosure and started to head towards the staff room, you were cursing up a storm under your breath.

“Why is always the small cuts that hurt the most,” You groaned. You probably wouldn’t even need stitches. It was about the same size as a papercut, but stung the same. A bit of a rinse under some water, some polysporin, a bandaid and you’d be good to go. An annoyance, nothing more.

The familiar shuffling sound of the heeled boots. The large hair coming into view, blue eyes, green jumpsuit with the shiny pins, coming out of the staff lounge just as you were about to head in. Vince, of course. The sweet little prince. H stopped right in the doorway, looking at you, taking in the grumpy expression. Then his eyes trailed down your arm to see the bloody fingers. Instantly, his eyes went wide.

“What happened?” He asked, actually loking downright sad. If anything, it made you feel worse that you were worrying him.

“One of the birds,” You said with a shrug, playing it off. “‘s nothin Vince, just need one of those plasters -”

He was already examining your finger and hissing as he looked at it, as if he felt it himself. “You’re going to need something more than a plaster, come on,” He took hold of your good hand and started to run with you, sprint with you, through the zoo. How he managed to do so in those boots that he always wore, the ones that were definitely against regulation, you couldn’t figure out. But that question didn’t stop you from enjoying the way that his hand felt in yours, you admitted to yourself. It was - sweet, how much he cared. Enough to bring you to Naboo.

Vince had you explain what had happened again - literally, just a nip from a bird, before taking control of the situation. “Have you got any lotions or potions? Anything?” He was asking the mystic. You had your eyebrows raised towards Naboo, amused to say the least. It didn’t even hurt anymore, not unless you bent that finger. But here was Vince, acting like you just got your arm pulled off.

“-might have some polysporin in the office?” Naboo suggested.

“Oh, good idea, that,” Vince said with a nod. Of course he’d listen to Naboo. You smiled thankfully towards the short man before you were dragged off again by Vince towards the staff room where you had started from. Ten minutes later, you were poly’d, you had on a plaster with little zoo animals on it and Vince was even... “There,” He said, kissing the bandaid. “Feeling better?”

“Well, I am now,” You said with a grin. The pain had dissipated a quarter of an hour ago but you weren’t going to tell him that. Not when he was being like a helpful little poodle, trying to kiss the sting away.

“One minute there, superstar.” Lucas just chuckled as he felt himself be pulled back into the room where all the animal food, toys and treats, feeling himself twirled around and pulled into the embrace he loved so much. Those safe arms that had just become so familiar to him, and that never failed to make him smile. “Oh what does the boss want?” “A second of your time.” “Just a second?”

River grinned, in all honesty he would like many seconds with the now pink glowing Lucas, but sadly this day, that was all there was time for. Lifting Lucas up, he put him on one of the benches, both laughing as a squeaky toy complained about the sudden weight put on top of it. “Sadly yes, but make it a promise of later.” Leaning in he kissed Lucas deeply, sneaking his hands in under his shirt, to just feel that soft warm skin against them. The slight shiver and moan from Lucas made it even harder to keep the promise of later. Pulling back, he held out his hand, to the slightly disappointed look of his husband. “You owe me.” “I do, I’ll make good on my promise, don’t worry.” “But work first, yes.” As Lucas took his hand, he pulled him in for one more kiss, then a moment just leaning their foreheads together before they exited the room, a glance between them as River went back to his next exam, while Lucas went to the dog’s side where he had two dogs to prepare for adoption.

Imagine being Addy Carver being all cute with you.

Addison Carver was the main reason you were still alive during this whole zombie apocalypse. Not only did she save your life more than once with that studded bat of hers, but she was also your motivation to keep on going. You’d nearly given up before but that cute grin and snarky sense of humor had you keep on coming back to the determined survivor that you were. “Why are you watching me?” She asked, while she was messing around with some electronic thing connected to a computer.

“Just trying to see what you’re doing,” You said, which wasn’t the whole truth - you had just been admiring the flame-haired beauty. “What is it?”

“Trying to see if I can add to my old blog,” Addie said, tongue sticking out of her mouth slightly as she worked on trying to get some of the power back. “I used to try to keep it up to let the future people know what’s gone on here but-” She shrugged - there wasn’t much hope of that these days. “-now I just keep it to have a record of you.”

“Of me?” You asked, eyebrows furrowed. “What makes me so special? I think you should record about yourself, you’re much more interesting than I am.” At that, Addie would reach out for you and you would give in. She’d wrap an arm around you and pull you to her lap on the old computer chair. You kissed her cheek and she smiled widely.

“That,” Addie would say, pointing to her cheek where your kiss had been. “I don’t want to forget a thing.”

hi, may i request a reading? i read your instructions about what to ask and what not to ask but im still not sure if this counts so its ok if you wont answer it just let me know. im a gem sun-cap moon-cancer venus rising jupiter and mars-gem saturn and i would like a reading whether i will achieve that one goal i have and are there any things that i should do to achieve it like advice and stuff? ok thank you hope you have a nice dayyy

let’s see. fun answering ambiguous questions b/c it’s like okay i hope your goal isn’t to murder anybody lol.

a bunch of cards fell out at first, i put them back, these fell out. looking at them before clarifying, i would guess yes. i feel like there’s a sense of meditating on a plan or what to do or this four of cups is you dreaming up this goal? and then there’s setting to work on it, diligently. as the knight of pentacles is a hard, earnest worker. it also may take a while to come to fruition. but then the knight of pentacles turns into six of wands guy which typically is about success, especially like um... of the public recognition kind? and after that, it seems there’s something being awarded or a new opportunity that is offered. 

in terms of clarification - four of cups clarified by devil and page of cups. this could be related to your cap moon or could be like a... limitation. for example... since it’s a cup cards, it could be that your emotions get the best of you before you make a decision or emotions are getting in the way of you seeing something or accepting something at first, but let me read what cap moon means.

so apparently cap being a cardinal sign means a desire to take action, cap moons are also pragmatic and into planning so i doubt you’re over-emotional. so i think this four of cups just indicates (your moon?) shows you as a person who has to sit and plot and think for a while before taking action. 

i don’t know what the goal is as page of cups or any cups on here could indicate a relationship but it can also indicate a passion/creative project. anything you’re passionate/emotional about accomplishing. obviously the goal doesn’t matter, you just asked if you’ll accomplish it. 

your ONLY oracle that i drew before i sat down to write this was act - so now is the time to act which is funny after reading your moon in cap.

oh right rest of cards. so the knight of p is clarified by ace of cups, which is another feel of like passion/love/rebirth... i’m leaning toward a passion project but whatevs. so plan to your heart’s content, take action - the action is one of... doing all the work, making sure it’s thorough. as a knight of p it’s almost like saying make sure all of your t’s are crossed and i’s dotted. do it diligently, earnestly, sincerely. unlike a knight of wands or knight of swords that would rush in but then again if you’re sitting around planning how to take action... obviously you aren’t rushing in...  another reason it doesn’t feel like love since this could’ve been a knight of cups... so i feel like it’s your cap moon really pushing whatever it is you’re passionate about accomplishing.

six of wands is clarified by the queen of wands... funny b/c back of deck was queen of wands. queen of wands is also about being bold, taking action, confidence, creativity, charisma.... and then ace of pentacles... clarified by four of pentacles (reversed?) which is odd so i pulled another and got ace of swords...  maybe this is tied to what the goal is about... but so there’s a sense of something being offered or this is the goal reached... i’m not sure if the cards are in chronological order... but then the goal or this thing offered involves - letting go or holding onto something? four of pentacles also makes me think of protecting your energy or the home, saving money... or giving it away... then to add on ace of swords... it’s validating this something new coming... and this could be communication, clarity, a decision... i feel like there’s something more to that... and the clarifying deck ended on four of cups reversed and world behind it. behind that queen of wands for the other deck is also world. world is... completion, success...  it’s interesting you start with four of cups upright and end on a four of cups reversed... and also clarity is at the end. four of cups can be... a time of boredom or confusion or discontent or a lack of clarity and reversed it means the opposite... so if things some unclear or stagnant right now, by the time you act and accomplish the goal... it will feel... the opposite of how you do now? maybe you’re anxious about the goal being accomplished and the four of pentacles represents letting go of anxiety and feeling some relief or seeing how something is going to be sorted out...

but again thee main thing seems to be to take action... and take action like knight of p would with some planning... which you’ll do anyway... hopefully... there are a couple fours floating around and that’s basic foundations, organization, etc...  and several aces, which i consider to be about the self.

so this must be a goal that mostly has to do with you/the self. and creating something that..... is about security... just generally. that could be anything like securing a job or scholarship, etc... the goal seems to be something that offers you in particular some security of a (physical) nature. but emotional, as well.

if you don’t succeed i’d be super surprised as there are zero negative cards here beyond the devil... and worst case scenario it means you’re either overly organized to the point it delays plans or under-organized and it delays action.
