Thinking about things I've heard and how certain portions of US Christianity have historically interacted with marginalized individuals and used religion and scripture to justify intolerance and hate. Possible responses I didn't think of at the time:

"Are you upset we have two federal holidays for civil rights in our country? Repent and maybe we won't need a third."

“Don't like Pride being a whole month? We wouldn't be having this discussion right now if you had done it right the first time around"

This season, rather than "Put Christ back in Christmas!", let's try "Put Christ back in Christianity ❤️".

As a Christian, I wanted to make a message through my art somehow rejecting what the Olympics did this year. So, I asked God what the best way to do so would be, and being His brilliant Self He suggested I focus on another message.

I will then use this opportunity to share how much you are loved. Gay or straight, you are a child Jesus died to save! Man or woman, He would do it again a trillion times, even if you were the only person on earth.

He hung on the cross, taking God's wrath in your place, and in His mind's eye flashed images of YOU. They plucked out His beard, beat Him beyond recognition, humiliated Him, and killed Him. He decided that you are worth it, even after all the times you've rejected Him.

While certain things are sins, yes, we're all in the same boat. I am straight, but I am no different than a gay person because I still sin! I am no different than a transgender person because I still mess up. I'm probably worse than most people, to be honest.

God welcomes everyone with open arms. Like the father saw his prodigal son afar off and came running to hug him. He's looking for you, waiting for you. He's never going to give up until you are finally home. He loves you more than you could ever imagine...

But today, you can start the journey to taste a glimpse of His love! Come on in! <3

Just say out loud, "Lord, I repent of my sin, I give You my life, I believe Jesus died for my sins and raised from the dead on the third day. Thank You for saving me. In Jesus name, AMEN."

That's it! You are a new creature in Christ, born again. Made new. You are sealed and going to Heaven... but the Christian life isn't just about when we die.

"Happy Pride Day" means embracing Satan and living on with wickedness. Homosexuality is a sin and it leads to other forms of evil such as wokeness, political correctness, transgenderism and more. God is watching everyone!

Do not let the Pride and LGBTQ believers pull you away from the Lord.

Struggling in Arizona

Being homeless while being unemployed really sucks. I never really understood. I have been homeless before, but I was employed,  I was still able to get food and once in a while get a motel room for a shower and rest.  Being unemployed and homeless at the same time is a challenge. Combine that with the30 to 40 degree nights here in Arizona. 

I hope that a job comes along so that at least I can get some food and buy a shower at a truck stop.

One if my biggest challenges is that to go out and look for a job means I usually miss when most places serve a free meal and the couple times i got a job from one of the day labor places I had to forgo a meal so that I could try to get to the job while a few of the jobs refused me, being homeless it is hard to get a shower or get your clothing washed.

I hope I get a job soon.  I hope I can get a hot meal soon. i hope I can get a shower soon. I hope I can get a warm bed for at least one night soon. 

Somehow I feel I am getting punished for something... just wish I knew for what.

I hope that Dylan is doing well and that he will find it in his heart to forgive me one day. I am sorry Dylan for not being fully emotionally available during our relationship. I was still mourning my sisters death and I was still healing from Merrick leaving me. I am sorry I tried to kill myself. Please forgive me. I love him and I fear that he hates me and will never forgive me.

the victim boy and the other

and his mouth is running, running, running, as if he were repenting for a sin. 

the other was spitting the words like fire crawling out of his body. like the words were anguish and a secret he didn’t want to get out. 

but the victim boy could see it in confident posture, the other’s perfectly styled hair, and the way his lips curled into a malicious smirk. his envious, black hair bounced as he looked to either side of him, practically begging for laughs and validation from his friends, who were perched against the lockers. it looked like the friends granted his wish, if the way the mouths curled up into proud, devious grins indicated anything.

but the victim boy could also see it as the other mindlessly fiddled with his hands, the way his eyes shone with desperation and pure desire to appease his ‘friends’, to fit in.
