Hilarious how I've been following the development for Militsioner for years now, and talk about it online seemed pretty concentrated to the Steam page and Discord channel. Yet the moment the devs mention that, yes, you have the option to romance the thousand-foot-tall policeman, THAT'S when I'm seeing more people talk about it.

Out of nowhere, I very vaguely remembered an old game I rented a single time many years ago but not the name of it.

It featured 2 animal characters who were tied or chained together, and to attack one of them would use the other character as a weapon. I think at least the first level took place in a lab? I imagine it would have been on the ps2, but it could have been gamecube.

Not a lot to go on but if I'm able to look at screens for a while tomorrow I might do some research to try and find out what this mystery game could be xD

i am losing it actually the writing in this show - it's such a brilliant way to incorporate the Wizard Of Oz reference to subtly (or i mean. unsubtly. as the case may be) make a joke* about Peter being a 'friend of dorothy' "i'm not asking for a heart" (tin man) "or the brains [...]" (scarecrow) "or courage..." (cowardly lion)

and like - yeah it's kind of obvious, but it's still a really fun, clever way of incorporating the themes that surround Peter as a character and create a more solid sense of the taboo of him admitting that he's capital-G-Gay (and i didn't pick up on it until literally this afternoon despite semi-regularly listening to the demo tracks, so make of that what you will) (and i mean. arguably it's him literally asking to not be a friend of Dorothy/Gay, to avoid asking for anything that Those characters in particular would want)

*i wanna say that obviously the euphemism/flagging itself is not the joke, like it's a real and legitimate thing, but i'm sure you get me

You know, I had to sit here and think about this for a few minutes because, even as a kid, I don't think any of the shows I watched regularly got canceled until they already had many seasons under their belts. Including all the cartoons I watched.

Guess that must be a thing about having been a kid in the 80s. I mean, even shows I watched like Small Wonder and Out of This World were on for 4 seasons each. (Which, back then, was all you needed -- 96 episodes -- to have a good syndication run and be set up to show reruns of that show until the end of time.)

Even shows that got canceled in my late teens to early-20s that got canceled didn't hurt me on that kind of level, such as Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman. Because it's 4th and final season sucked. And Angel the Series was already in its fifth season when it got canceled, so while I was sad it was ending, I was okay.

So yeah, for me? Me being cold and bitter and heartless over a show getting canceled starts with Netflix canceling Anne with an E and Julie and the Phantoms. And I mean, at least Anne with an E got 3 seasons before it was canceled. Julie and the Phantoms only got one season. F U Netflix. 😒 Even now this is why I'm wary about starting any show Netflix produces.
